In P Oxy I. 71 ii. 3 (A.D. 303) a Prefect is praised as rendering to all their due πᾶσι τὰ ἴ [δ ]ια ἀπονέμις : cf. ib. IX. 1185 .6 ( c. A.D. 200) τ̣ὰς περὶ τῶν γυμνασιαρχιῶν καὶ ἀγορανομιῶν ἐφέσις τοῖς κρατίστοις ἐπιστρατήγοις ἀπένειμα , the assigning of appeals to the strategi.
