Be Merciful Like Jesus - Love, Forgive, and Show Grace!

The Lord says, blessed are the merciful for they shall have mercy. Blessed are the merciful for they shall have mercy. Any act based on mercy, Christ is there.

When you see a homeless person and you help them in whichever way, that's an act of mercy. When you see somebody cry and you sit with them and you enter a conversation with them and you change the mood and instead of crying they start laughing, now that's an act of mercy. Any visiting someone in hospital, that's an act of mercy.

Visiting someone in prison, that's an act of mercy. Reaching out to those who are starving, wherever they are. In the Gaza Strip, two things break me badly, which I can't handle.

A baby crying and an elderly crying, these two I cannot handle. It doesn't matter what race you are, what color you are, what belief system you come, I don't care. I don't care.

You're a Muslim, you're a Christian, you're a Hindu, you're a Buddhist, you're an atheist, I don't care. When I see a baby crying, I don't care if that baby is a Christian, not Christian, it's beside the point. When I see an elderly man crying, I don't care.

If I can take these clothes and put it on them, I'll take them. I will never hesitate. So any act of mercy, it is the Lord.

Blessed is the soul that shows mercy to others, for the Lord will be merciful on that soul on judgment day. And the Lord will say, I don't see any sin in you, yet I'm full of sin. Mercy is a key word.

See, if people think love only is enough, they're mistaken. Love alone is not enough, but love is the foundation. Without foundation, you cannot build a house, but the foundation is not the house.

But without the foundation, there is no house. So forget about the house until you lay the foundation. The foundation to everything is love.

It is the supreme ethic. Without love, there is no life. Without love, there is nothing else.

If there is no love, there is no life. What makes life, life is love. But what did this love do? Send to us the mercy of God.

Now this mercy is Christ hanging on the cross. I suffer for someone that is not worthy of this gift. I die for someone that is not worthy of this sacrifice.

So mercy is only seen as true mercy when you do an act based on love to someone who is not worthy of it. You don't go and say, I showed an act of mercy to my brother, but my brother loves me more than me. That's not an act of mercy.

He loves you, you love him back, that's it. You're equal now. But when you do something for someone that cannot pay you back, cannot help you, now that is an act of mercy.

And above all, you help someone who has hurt you. They hurt me all their life, but I still showed mercy. Now that's, you are being Christ-like here.

What did the Lord say the first statement? While he was hanging on the cross, he said seven statements. The first one, Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they're doing. What do you mean? They shredded your body, they nailed you on the cross fully naked, they dragged you in the streets of Jerusalem, they kicked you, punched you, ridiculed you, they humiliated you.

But the Lord says, forgive them Father. Yet they were my enemy, they went against me, they hurt me so much, but I'm asking Father to forgive them. And forgiveness is the sign of mercy.

Do you want to know if you have the mercy of God in your heart? When you're able to forgive somebody that hurt you badly, you have the mercy of God in your heart. If you cannot forgive somebody that hurt you badly, there is no mercy. You're doing it your way, not God's way.

And forgiving someone doesn't mean you live with them, unless they are your parents or very, very close to you, husband, wife, you know, children. But if somebody that you can live outside of their life, as long as you forgive them, that's very vital, that's foundation. Forgive them and walk away.

Forgive them and walk away. But don't ever walk away without forgiving them, because if you don't, the Lord will not forgive your sins. Be careful.

You may say, this person hurt me. And then you go to the Lord Jesus and say, Lord, have mercy on me. The Lord is going to say, well, you've hurt me as well.

Why do you expect me to forgive you when you're not forgiving somebody who hurt you? Don't you hurt me every single day? Yet every time you come, I forgive you. Shouldn't you do the same when others hurt you? Yes. So what goes around comes around.

Amen. And when you forgive someone, you're not doing that someone a favor, you're doing yourself a favor. Believe me.

You want to put your head on the pillow and sleep at peace? Forgive. Forgive. Try it.

Ask the Lord to help you. Try it. See how happy you will live.

So you're doing yourself a favor, not them. Not them, my beloved.
