The Hour - Part 6

These first highways came out of the brain of Hitler. He made the first autobahns. And you can see cars flying at a speed of 220 kilometers per hour. Now, after so many years, we cannot really improve our neighbors' lives. What a sad hour. We are all people, all saying in the world that we have a booming economy. And that young fellows' start-up salaries are just soaring. But what is it making them? Drunkards, Friday night, Saturday night, Sunday, partying, and with the result, families are breaking. Is there anything sadder than the breakup of a family? Here is Jesus. He wants to build the life of a sinner. He wants to take your sins. He wants to give you His nature. He wants to make you a person who loves, loves, loves. My dear friends, you know, 700 years before Jesus came into this world, the prophet Isaiah wrote, he prophesied, for he was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities, our sins. The justicement, the punishment above that we might have peace, was upon Him. And with His stripes, we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray. But He has put upon Him the sins, the iniquity of us all. 700 years before Jesus came into this world, He is coming. He is going to be the price to pay. He is going to perform the supernatural sacrifice. He is going to perform the supreme sacrifice for your sins. So, this was prophesied 700 years before Christ so clearly. As a matter of fact, you can go far into B.C. Not only 700 years, but you can go far into B.C. Last of all, when Jesus was upon the cross, the two thieves who were crucified next to Him, they began to cast slurs upon Him. Oh, if you are God, if you are the King, come down. Set yourself free and us also. Now, my dear friends, that was the hour for which He came. That was the suffering which He chose. He was not going to escape or try to escape that torture because of the taunts that were thrown at Him. But one of them, my lovely little friend, he said to the other, we indeed suffered justly. But He has done nothing amiss. Remember me. What? Here was Jesus dying on the cross, almost naked. The soldiers had cast lots for His cloak. But this dying thief next to Him, what did he say? You are a king. You have a kingdom. And you are going to that eternal kingdom. Now, when you go into that eternal kingdom, remember me. Think of me. What did Jesus tell you? Today, you will be with me in paradise.
