He says that you become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed. So we've been transferred. We're not under law as a covenant system. And we're transferred to this standard of teaching. Listen to the NIV. Many have commented on how helpful the NIV is in this translation. You have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You hear that? There's a pattern of teaching. There's a truth that has claimed your allegiance as a Christian. Your allegiance has changed. In the verse earlier, I was referring to 2 Timothy 1:13, follow the pattern of sound words that you have heard from Me in the faith.
