The Lord knows how to save a soul

You see at the cross we have God dealing with sin. He's not dealing with a man who is a sinner at the cross He's dealing with one who is altogether lovely in his sight One who is altogether pleasing to the Father But yet there the Savior is and there God is dealing with sin And what's taking place at the cross is according to the prophet Isaiah this that he would but he was wounded for our transgressions He was crushed for our iniquities the chastisement for our peace was upon him and with his stripe we are healed All we like sheep have gone astray. We've all sinned We have turned everyone to his own way.

We were born in sin. We've gone our own way But the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all and There at the cross of Calvary friend God dealt with the sin of mankind He dealt with my sin there, you know, I didn't always know that I Always wondered what it would be like to be saved. I always wondered what it what would take place if I ever got saved But the night that God saved me I saw this for the first time that when Christ died upon the cross He died for my sin I Was sitting there in the in the bedroom on the old farmhouse.

I was laying there and I was reading a track Not by works of righteousness, which we have done But according to his mercy he saved us and I could understand the first part not by works of righteousness It's not by living a good life. It's not by doing right things But it's according to God's mercy and I could understand that But the last part said he saved us and that word saved was in past tense But I wasn't saved so how could he have saved me The question coming to my mind what could God have ever done to save my soul And it was plain as day that night for the first time in my life. That's that's what's took place at Calvary Christ died for my sin Christ bore my sin in his own body on the tree and that work has been finished for nearly 2,000 years It's all been done in the past My friend what could God ever do with your sin? You see God knows how to deal with sin and God knows how to save a soul Salvation by the way is of the Lord It's not by the will of man.

It's not by flesh. It is not by blood. It is salvation is of the Lord and what took place at Calvary is what Christ has satisfied God's righteous claims concerning man's sin and The death penalty penalty that was required for our sin was was meted out upon the Lord Jesus And he not only suffered for our sin, but he died for our sin and God knows how to save a soul My friend Murray Taught me some time ago.

He said sometimes when we preach the gospel we put the spotlight on the sinner, and that's good but sometimes we leave it there and Sometimes we need to put it on the the life ring the the self the device that you need to throw them to be saved from drowning a Drowning sinner in the ocean doesn't need the spotlight on him he needs a spotlight on the life ring that's been thrown right beside him and God knows how to save a soul and what God has accomplished in the Lord Jesus has accomplished through the death of the cross is enough my friend for you to be saved tonight It's enough The blood has been shed The debt and the price tag has been paid and for what you need today is a substitute Someone who can take your place someone who has taken your place someone who could die for your sin Because God knows how to save a soul Are you saved tonight? When were you saved How were you saved where were you saved When did you come to know for the first time That what took place at the cross was just for you just for you God knows how to deal with sin friend and sin is the problem and God has dealt with the problem of sin at the place called Calvary so that you can be freely and fully forgiven and have everlasting life and Know the Lord Jesus Christ is your own Savior The one not who not only loved you But he gave himself that you could know forgiveness and be saved even this very night
