God lives and works today. Yes, especially today, when danger and the threat of catastrophes are constantly increasing. Whether we like to admit it or not, in view of our world situation, most of us deep down inside are filled with fear and anxiety.

Yet, God loves us, and He is greater than all the powers of darkness at work in our world today. He wants to take away our anxiety and fear. How? Today's program by Baseliea Schlink will show us the way to true peace and a security in these turbulent times.

Mother Baseliea once gave us an excellent piece of advice. She impressed upon us that we should abandon ourselves completely to the hand of God, our Father, trusting Him for everyday matters that make us panic. Usually, the real reason for our fears is that we haven't committed ourselves to the will of God and to suffering.

We don't really trust in the love of God. Mother Baseliea poses both questions and suggestions. Are you afraid of losing your possessions and goods? Then surrender them to God beforehand, and your soul will find peace.

Trust that God cares for you, and you will be comforted. Are you afraid of losing your dear ones? Commit yourself to God and to the pain of losing those who are dear to you. Trust that Jesus, who loves you beyond all imagination, will let you experience His presence and love more than ever before.

Then you'll really be comforted. Are you afraid of famine, of suffering want? Then say, I place myself in your hands, my Father, trusting that I can do all things in Him who strengthens me. In Christ, I can enjoy abundance or suffer from hunger and want, for He gives me the strength.

Are you afraid of having to see your loved ones suffer? Then say, I believe, Lord, that you love them more than I do, that you will help them, and thank you for your promise that this suffering will create great glory for them for all eternity. Are you afraid that in time of distress your fallen nature will get the better of you and lead you to do something drastic? Then fight right now the battle of faith against each sin of your character, and God will repay you in the time of catastrophe. According to what is demanded of you, He will give you the necessary strength to conquer.

So if your fear is great, there's someone who's even greater, who can help you to overcome, and that someone is Jesus Christ. Call to Him and lift up the song of praise in faith. So strive in faith that you will win, for Christ can conquer every sin.

Christ's help means always victory. He stretches out His strong right hand. A foe before Him cannot stand, and they are all defeated.
