God lives and works today. He is the Great Physician and Savior of our souls. He knows about the hidden wounds that sin has caused.
He knows that they make us unhappy and miserable. Therefore, His message to us this Christmas is a message of joy and deliverance. Christ the Savior is born.
Yes, the Savior has come for you and for me. The Savior who can save us from sins, addictions, misery, despair, and confusion. Listen to today's program by Basilea Schlink called Christ the Savior is Born.
Glory, glory in the highest. Glory to God in the highest. O Holy Night, what untold wealth you have brought us! For the words of the angel, Unto you is born a Savior, were not simply angelic words that faded away into thin air.
No, they are a lasting reality. This child, this Savior child, was lying in a manger in Bethlehem. He had really come.
He could be seen with human eyes. He could be touched with human hands. Christ the Savior is born.
Throughout the centuries, men have raised their voices in the song of joy on Christmas Day. Today, more than ever before, our world needs a Redeemer, a Savior. Nothing else can help us.
We, our nation, and the whole world are on the verge of destruction because sin has become overpowering. Yes, the earth is covered with violence and the terror of sin. Previously, when sin was not so blatant, many people thought that man was basically good and didn't need a Savior.
The child in the manger had no meaning for them. They didn't care whether the Savior was born on Christmas or not. But today, we need this Savior child.
We cannot exist without Him. Many hearts have begun to cry, Is there a Savior who can save us from this enslavement to Satan and sin, with all its dreadful consequences? No human being can save them. But the words of redemption resound, Unto us a child is born.
Long ago, on that holy night, he lay in a manger in Bethlehem, and he bore the name Savior, Redeemer. Christ, the Savior, is born. He's really here.
Jesus, who came to earth as the Savior, lives today. Jesus, the Redeemer, is waiting for you to come to Him. Through Him, you will experience redemption from the sins in your life, and you will be made free and happy.
O wondrous little child divine, all heaven sings your praise. You came to earth to live with us, and show us love and grace. Ah, yes, dear babe, in heaven and earth there is no mightier name.
