And the Japanese invasion of Madras was imminently expected. Japanese planes had bombed Madras. And the city had been ordered to evacuate. So all the citizens of the city had fled. I was a very young fellow at that time. And when the night when Japanese planes bombed Madras, I was sleeping so deeply that the bombs did not disturb me. My father had used that time to preach the gospel. And we had all returned to an empty city. And I could ride my bicycle in the middle of the high road. My old rattling bicycle. I was the king of the roads. But, don't try to do that now. Listen friends, at such a time, when God, my dad, asked God, Lord, all the inmates of this fellowship have found jobs, they've gone, and a new situation, and I'm being invited back to be the principal or the chief of this high school. Shall I go? God's answer. If you still remain, I'll build you. I'll not pluck you out. So dear friends, you are the result of that promise. But this young man told me this verse. And I said, that is not of God. You are comfortably situated in a worldly situation. And this promise is not meant for you. You have never obeyed the pilgrim call that was given to Abraham. See, look at that. How the devil can seduce even apparently earnest people. If you turn to the book of Abraham, the 19th chapter, 1, 2 and 3. I'm reading in the middle of the first verse. The idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence. And the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. And the fight that will break out between man and man. Third verse. The spirit of Egypt shall fail. You see, warn to them that go down to Egypt. That is something which is well recorded. And it was always the device of the devil to make God's children turn to Egypt for help. When Abraham had gone all the way obeying God to the promised land, the first temptation, when famine broke out in the land, he went down to Egypt. Today, as in those days, Egypt stood for a great ancient prophecy. Prosperous civilization. There are some places in the world which appear to be prosperous, comfortable. Where the local currency is much higher than earnings in your native countries. And the wealth of that country is much more than the wealth of your country. And there is a great trust today in the dollar or euro. But this is tottering as the world of the world's economy is shaking. And they don't have the character to sustain this economy. The law of Jesus teaches you to lift your neighbor. When a man or a nation fails to do that, they become internally weak and vulnerable. When you lift the weak and raise the dead,
