Victory Through Our Lord Jesus Christ - Part 1
Bakht Singh

Bakht Singh Chabra (1903 - 2000). Indian evangelist, church planter, and Bible teacher born in Joiya, Punjab (now Pakistan), to a devout Sikh family. Educated at Punjab University, he studied agricultural engineering in England (1926-1928) and Canada (1929-1932), embracing a Western lifestyle, including smoking and drinking, while rejecting his Sikh roots by shaving his hair. Initially hostile to Christianity—once tearing a Bible apart—he converted in 1929 in Winnipeg after reading the New Testament, influenced by Christian friends John and Edith Hayward. Returning to India in 1933, he began preaching as an Anglican evangelist, later becoming independent, sparking the 1937 Martinpur revival, a pivotal movement in Indian Christianity. In 1941, after a night of prayer in Chennai, he founded Hebron Ministries, establishing over 10,000 indigenous churches modeled on New Testament principles across India and South Asia. Singh authored books like How I Got Joy Unspeakable and Full of Glory and held annual “Holy Convocations” in Madras, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Kalimpong, drawing thousands. Married to Rama Bai at age 12 in 1915, little is recorded of their personal life. His contextualized gospel, blending Indian spirituality with biblical truth, earned him the title “Elijah of the 21st Century” in Indian Christendom. Singh’s words, “I have never asked any man for anything, but the Lord is richly supplying all my needs,” reflect his faith-driven ministry. Despite Parkinson’s disease in his final decade, his legacy endures through Hebron’s global network and writings, praised by figures like Ravi Zacharias.

Raman, Eighth Chapter, verse thirty-seven. Today, in all these things, we are more than conquerors to him who loved us. All of you who are staying here on occasion are given these badges. On the badges you find some words in English. There is victory to Lord Jesus Christ. We find these words in First Corinthians, Chapter fifteen, and the verse fifty-seven. But thanks be to God, He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. And that's why the Lord Jesus Christ came in the world, that we, all of us, as sinners who have been defeated by sin, ruined by sin, may become conquerors to Him. Lord Jesus Christ is the unique conqueror, because as a great conqueror, He is able to make us conquerors, whosoever we may be. To the matter how weak we are, how foolish we are, we can become conquerors. And that's why His victory is a unique victory. Not only in that brief period, but for a short period, is for eternity. So our loving Lord wants us to become such like conquerors and victorious for eternity. So we humbly request you, as we begin our Holy Convocation, literally, pray by faith, literally and flexibly, that our loving God and mighty God make you a conqueror. And don't look at your past failures, don't look at your own limitation and shortcoming. And we know, any one of us, every one of us, can become a victor to Him. That's why here Paul is testifying, Romans 8 chapter, Romans 8 chapter, First of all, verse 35. Who shall separate us from the love of God Christ? Shall simulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Who shall separate us from the love of God Christ? As human beings, all of us have to go through all these situations at different times. Different situations. So all these, we can become overcomers. Same with 27. In all these things, we are more than conquerors to Him who loved us. In all these things, we are more than conquerors to Him who loved us. Verse 38. Trapped us with neither death, nor life, nor injury, nor prosperity, nor power, nor kingdom, nor kingdom come. Neither death, nor life, nor injury, nor prosperity, nor power, nor kingdom, nor kingdom come. Neither death, nor life, nor prosperity, nor kingdom come. In all these things, we are more than conquerors to Him who loved us. Neither death, nor life, nor injury, nor prosperity, nor power, nor kingdom come. In all these things, we are more than conquerors to Him who loved us. Verse 17-18. Now being said, we can be more than conquerors. Rather than being defeated, we can be victorious. And that victory is possible because of the victory of Lord Jesus Christ. And that's why His victory is a unique victory. That's why the weakest human being, the most foolish human being, the most ruinous human being can become victorious in Him. And that's why the weakest human being, the most ruinous human being can become victorious in Him. And that's why the weakest human being, the most foolish human being, the most ruinous human being can become victorious in Him. What did he say here? God's love has been shed abroad by the Holy Spirit to us. By such a love, we become more than victorious. By such a love, we become more than victorious. And Lord Jesus Christ came in the world again to pour the love into us. He is not a human love. This is not a human love. This is again a unique love. This is a universal love. This is a great love. This is a sacrifice love. This is a love beyond human comprehension. But when you see from God's word what the love is, The Lord appeared before him and said, I have loved thee with everlasting love. Therefore, with loving kindness, have I done thee. The Lord appeared before him and said, I have loved thee with everlasting love. Therefore, with loving kindness, have I done thee. Look at Jeremiah chapter 31, verse 3. The Lord appeared before him and said, I have loved thee with everlasting love. Therefore, with loving kindness, have I done thee. This is everlasting love. This is love for eternity. This is love for eternity. And that's why God of love is giving us opportunity after opportunity to repent of our sins and be forgiven by Him. And that's why God of love is giving us opportunity after opportunity to repent of our sins and be forgiven by Him. And that's why God of love is giving us opportunity after opportunity to repent of our sins Even though we grieve Him and be wounded by Him and yet He has come again within this world my son, my daughter, give me thy heart. Then secondly, it is a universal love. John John chapter three, John verse sixteen, John sixteen, for God, soul of the world. It is a universal love. Soul of the world. In that world, we can include every human being of any degree, any kind. Love is not meant for only one class of people or one kind of people. Gospel of the world. And that is why today we find the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is being preached today to the people of all classes, all languages, all conditions, all walks of life. We can include high and low, white and black, muscular or old items. Civilized and civilized. People who are extremely defiled by everyone by themselves. And that is why you find today the Gospel being conveyed by different means to all kind of people everywhere. To people speaking more than one thousand one hundred fifty five languages. Then thirdly, it is a sacrificial love. That John teaches Steve. That he gave the only son. A sacrificial God. Love which takes pleasure in giving us everything. He just prayed our own son. But little of all, Sadhinath, him also, freely, he was all things. It is a sacrificial love which takes pleasure in giving us all things. Then fourthly, fourth to the second chapter. First nine. Two nine. I have not seen nor heard. The love is far beyond human estimation and human knowledge and wisdom. Beyond our human imagination, knowledge, understanding, many kinds. And to say, I have not seen nor heard nor answered to heart of man. Far beyond human ability. Then fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly, fifthly He gives as many guiding branches, sections, inscriptions as he emphasizes, the only Jesus who gives spiritual knowledge gives great love. This love requires a holy faith from all the believers. Iti prema ku parishuddhula ambari oka sahavastham avastham. Is prema ke liye sab santon vishvashyuka saath sangat ki avashyakta hai. Complete him with all the saints. Samastha parishuddhula to grahinchukunavallu. Val santon ke saath hamise samasthuki. With their love we can share our love with all people of all classes. Aalaadi prema to manam hi premanu anni taragaturu andhari manushyukunavallu. Aar aise prema ke saath ki dhwara se saath vargaon ke logon ka saath mein hamise baas ko paas hote hai. Lokam mein oka yeh bhaagam nagey na velo achchunu. Aur jagat ke kisi bhi pranth, instanment, jaap asthe hai. Vyaaparamu na gano leka vere yeh day na uddhesi na velo achchunu. Jahan vipaar, rooji, rojgaar, dhanda ke liye dusre upasthi saath. Love can be shared by us with anybody, everywhere, every occasion. A premanu yeh kadayena, yeh pudayena, yavari to nayena, andhari to koda panch kuru achchunu. Se jo prena hai, har kisi se, har sthan mein, har kahin, bata jaa sakta hai. Then sixth is, chakmi baad, the same chapter, third chapter, first nineteen, and with no love of Christ, with first knowledge, yeh maa bhi filled with all the lovefulness of God. Aar unith parne mathi ke ush prem ko jaan sako jo gyaanth pare hai, atum parmeshwar ki saari bhar puri tak paripoon ho jaa. Not only filled, but we load up with God. Himad nigrah guthisandi, devani sampoornata yadu poornu lagunatluga. Atum parmeshwar ki saari bhar puri tak paripoon ho jaa, par aap dihaanthi. And not only we are being loved by God, na keval parmeshwar ke dwara prem kiya jaate, God wants that to be filled by fullness. Aayathu devandhu, aayana paripoonnatho, a prematho, poornulamu, nilpakadharani kodu. Atum parmeshwar maangata aisi prem ke dwara, atum parmeshwar ki saari bhar puri na bhar diya jaane. We may be with him as co-workers throughout eternity. Manam aayana to koda jatapani varamudha nundi, nichyatham varakundharani koduchu na. Atum parmeshwar ke saari saikarmi hoteve, sanatana ke le rahe sake. Then seventh is, etavadi ga, sastri baad, roman chapter five, romi paanch vaadhi aayadu, aar paanch path, and hope, make it not ashamed, love of God is shattered at the heart, but holy God, even to us. Romi paanch vaadhi paanch, rasha se lajja nahi hoti, kyonki kultara atma jo hume diya gaya hai uske dwara, parmeshwar ka preth humare man me daala gaya hai. It is spiritual love. It can only be celebrated into our spirit by the holy God. Our human love is a love of soul. It is a foolish love. Whether we love our parents or our friends or relations, only for a short time. It is an emotional love of the soul. But if love is a spiritual love, but yeh jo prem hai, atmik prem hai, then only we shall applaud by the holy spirit to us. Yeh keval pavitra atma hi ke dwara se, humare atma ke andar kundela jaata hai. And by that love, we shall, we will become transcendental. Aur kehata, isi prem ke dwara se, hum vijayi man sakte hain, vijay se bhadkar vijayi man sakte hain. And that's why in the beginning of the epistle, 8th chapter, Roman 8th chapter, the apostle says, there was one, Roman 8th chapter, therefore now no contamination to them which are in Christ Jesus. So ab jo masi yesu me hain, un par dhan ki agya nahin. The chapter begins with a phrase, in Christ Jesus. Yeh adhyaya ka shurvat, is chote se pada se shuru hota hai, vaakyam se, masi yesu me jo hain. And ends with the same chapter, more than conquerors. Aur isi adhyaya ki ant me, hum vijay se bhi bhadkar ho sakte hain. 37th vacharam. In all these things, we are more than conquerors. Paranth in sab bato me hain, hum jaivan se bhi bhadkar hain. Who are these conquerors? Yeh vijayi kon hain? Those who have been indwelled by Lord Jesus Christ. Yawari lo hain the, Prabhupada, Yesu Krishnu jeevis tu unhar. Indwelled by Him. Yeh ve hain, jin ke andar, mati khud aakar bhaat kar raha hain. Those who are filled by His love. Jo iske prem se bhara ja rahe hain. They become conquerors. Yeh hi vijayi bante. And are willing to receive His love. Aur uske prem ko gran karne ke, agar jo prasuta tayar hain. And He also is willing to pour love into us. And to make us overcomeers and conquerors. Prasut we have seen is a spiritual love. Is a pure love. Yeh tu pavitra prem hain. Can only be received in a cleansed and purged and purified spirit. Yeh keval usi aatma me suikara ja sakta hain. Jo nirmal sudh pavitra kiya gaya hoon. But many of us don't know what is spirit and what is soul and what is body. And that's why we remain in darkness about the heavenly, spiritual, divine, spiritual mystery. And isile in aatmik sathyaayon ke liye ham aatmik riti se andhe bane ratte hain. Now going by God's word. Every human being is composed of three parts. First Thessalonians. Chapter 5. And the verse 23. Very God of Peace, sanctify you wholly. I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless until the coming glorious time. Thessalonians 5.6 Thessalonians 5.6 Thessalonians 5.7 Thessalonians 5.7 Lord God found man on the ground and beat after and man became a living soul. And Lord God saved Adam from the soil and gave him life. And man became a living soul. Body of dust. Scripture says God took dust from dusty ladders. Lord God said Lord God took dust from the ground and saved man from the fire. When we die, whosoever we are, we become dust in a short time. Body is dust. Then God with his own breath and man became his own. Now what is the body, what is soul, what is spirit? Bone, muscle and blood make a body. Bone, muscle and blood make a body. These are the three main components of every body. Then secondly, what is soul? Soul also has got three parts. Intellect to think. Emotion to love, friends, parents, relations or others. Love to all of us. Love our children, love our parents, love our friends, relatives, family members, wives, others. Love our children, love our parents, love our friends, relatives, family members, wives, others. And thirdly, willpower. We can say yes, we can say no. God won't compare us. God gives every man his free will. So emotion, intellect, emotion, willpower are the fragility of the soul. And thirdly, the spirit is also. Conscience. Intelligent voice warning us, don't do this, don't say this, don't go there. We will kill our conscience before committing any sin. And secondly, longing to know the unseen. Our spirit says that way. Who is my creator? Who made me? Why did he make me? Where is he? How to find him? That is the spiritual longing. And thirdly, the instincts or intuitions are not always going somewhere or doing something. It's all coming. Let me go and see my mother. Let me write to students. Let me go for a walk. We don't know how these thoughts come. We don't have any urges of the spirit. One more thing we know. Now going by Genesis 1.26 God made man his own image, his own likeness. And now we don't see that likeness in man. Now we see masks of sins on every face. As sinners, anybody can see a mask of hatred, enmity, jealousy, greed, pride, lust, impurity, so on. As sinners, we have undergone a three fold downward change. As sinners, we have undergone a three fold downward change. I was prepared to become death spirit. By sin, we became death to God's spirit. Just by loving sin, we can't feel God's presence. We can never feel God's presence and hear God's voice. Through sin, we bring death into us. Through sin, we bring in the soul darkness. We misuse our emotions, will power. We abuse our intellect. Today, by sin, we bring defilement in the body. As long as we are living in sin, we have a dead spirit, darkened soul, defiled body. We have a dead soul, darkened soul, defiled body. God is spirit. God is soul. John chapter 4 verse 24. John chapter 4 verse 24. God is spirit. God is soul. God's love also is spiritual love. It is a pure love. Unchanging love can only be received in our cleansed, purified spirit. How can the pure love be received in a defiled spirit? We will never drink water in a filthy tumbler. We won't eat our food in a filthy vessel. We never think of receiving a good person in a filthy room, dirty room. How can we welcome the Lord Jesus Christ, King of kings, in a filthy, defiled, impure state? God's love of God can only come into us in Lord's time. To show their love, He gave Himself. He had all power. It is His hand to be pierced, feet to be pierced, back to be scalded, head to be plucked. And there He said, with hand bleeding, feet bleeding, whole body bleeding, Father, forgive them, they know not what they do. He has all power. Power over death. Power over every sickness. He has all power. Power over the elements of nature, storm and wind. All power. All things were made by Him. He could have done far to consume them. But He said, I haven't come to die but to save. In this world, Father, forgive them, we see divine love poured out. He is longing, longing to pour the same love in our hearts. Because He is our creator. Not only He is our savior, also He is our creator. Chapter 1, verse 16. Chapter 1, verse 16. By Him, for all things created, heaven, earth, visible, invisible, heaven being shown, dominion, after 30 years of powers, all things were by Him. He is our creator. That's why love for us is far greater than human love. More than father love, mother love, husband love, wife love, son love, daughter love, friend love. He is longing, longing to pour the love into us, by coming into us. He is longing, longing to pour the same love into us, by coming into us. But we have sinned against Him. Our spirits are dead and defiled. That's why He has to purify us, cleanse us, purge us, before coming into us. That's why He has to purify us, cleanse us, purge us, before coming into us. Every sin we commit, we bring death into our spirit. We need death conquering power to be purified. The Lord showed the power by dying for us. The Lord showed the power by dying for us. He rose again to be our righteousness. He rose again to be our righteousness. So the defilement caused by our sin into our spirit, can never go away by our tears and professions and fasting. Only by sexual blood that can go away. Because His blood contains everlasting life. Because His blood contains everlasting life. After we have confessed our sins, and sorry for them, and saying, Lord, thank You for our sins. By faith we receive into us special blood for inward cleansing. By faith we receive into us special blood for inward cleansing. After we have purified by special blood, in our spirit, we find divine love coming like a flower into our spirit. How do we know? Because we undergo a three-fold upward change. By sin we undergo a three-fold downward change. That's finished. The dead soul, the darkened soul, the defiled body. We find our dead spirit becoming the quickened spirit. Our darkened soul becoming the enlightened soul. And the defiled body becoming the cleansed body in the temple of the Holy Spirit. What a mighty victory! A sinner who made my instincts totally have been so transformed. A sinner who made my instincts totally have been so transformed. We become like a filthy rag, unclean thing, faded flower. We become like a filthy rag, unclean thing, faded flower. Now we become God's friend, God's co-worker. Now we become God's friend, God's co-worker. And promote and conquer. God's people, go dust. And we say by faith. Go dust, where died it today. Go death, where is your victory? We say by faith. We enjoy God's presence. But before that, we thought, God is very very far away. And we trembled when we said it out. We saw our sins. We saw our defilements. And we trembled. Now he will punish us. Like a guilty child will see his father coming. He sees his father coming with a stick. He knows it, my father saw me plucking the fruit. Make no run away. God is everywhere. He cannot escape it. God is coming near. God is coming near. And child is coming out. And still they start crying. Even before stick comes. He is still crying. He wants to kill the conscience. And that's why many stumble in house of God. And still they are still covered by rain veil. But now thank God for what he did today. Thank God for what he did today. Now we can speak with God like a magic man. Now we can speak with God like a magic man. But before that, we never knew where God is. Who God is. How we talk to him and go to him. And now because of the mighty victory accomplished at the cross, we can all become conquerors. And because of the mighty victory accomplished at the cross, we can all become conquerors. And this is the first great aspect of victory of Lord Jesus Christ. And this is the first great aspect of victory of Lord Jesus Christ. Any sinner can become a righteous before God. Any sinner can become a righteous before God. Because Lord Jesus himself, living person coming into us, is my righteousness. Because Lord Jesus himself, living person coming into us, is my righteousness. But he won't come into us unless our sins are forgiven. And he cannot forgive us till we confess our sins. And he cannot confess our sins till he helps us. And he cannot confess our sins till he helps us. He is helping us. He is helping us. And that's why he will bring us together again and again. And that's why he will bring us together again and again. He will bless us. And call upon him for forgiveness and be forgiven by him. And call upon him for forgiveness and be forgiven by him. And be indwelled by him. Come into him. And become more than tranquil over all situations. And become more than tranquil over all situations. But the proof is, God's presence, His perfect peace, is above all kind of guilt. And he assures us, my sins are gone forever. He assures us, my sins are gone forever. Longing to talk with God face to face. And power to confess Him day by day. The hope of living forever in the mortal body. The hope of living forever in the mortal body. With such hope, we can live with him. Whoever you may be, all your sins can be now forgiven. All your sins can be forgiven now. Even though you have been totally defiled by sin of any kind. Even though you have been totally defiled by sin of any kind. And not only that, but also you will be filled with love. And not only that, but also you will be filled with love of God. And you will feel his presence. And you will feel his presence. And go on enjoying his victory day by day with the power of Christian. And go on enjoying his victory day by day with the power of Christian. Chapter one. Verse eighteen. Please autograph please. Reach chapter one, eighteen. Come now, citizens together. Simply God. You simply have to know that. The water flows. And like crimson, they shall be as gold. Mukhyamadhiya chapter thirty-eight. Verse seventeen. Mukhyamadhiya chapter thirty-eight. Verse seventeen. Outgaina. Behold for peace I have given. You have touched my soul, all my sins, Mother of God, we are all my sins. Lord 180 says, even though sin may be a scarlet like a moon, and also all sins. Isaiah 43, verse 25, I am he that will spread out that confession for my own sake and will not remember my sins. Not only he forgives it, but he says, I will not remember my sins in the ground ever. Isaiah 44, verse 22, I have, as a sick cloud I confession, as a cloud I sin, tell him to me, I have redeemed thee. Isaiah 44, verse 22, I have, as a sick cloud I confession, as a cloud I sin, tell him to me, I have redeemed thee. Not only he does forgive our sins, and not only he promises not to remember them, but also he makes us his personal possession. He is a peculiar treasure. Imagine a filthy, dirty rag becoming a treasure in the hand of a mighty God. Imagine a filthy, dirty rag becoming a treasure in the hand of a mighty God. Somebody tell you, show me your great wealth and treasure. He shows up out of your filthy, dirty handkerchief, never washed for 35 years. Somebody tell you, show me your great wealth and treasure. He shows up out of your filthy, dirty handkerchief, never washed for 35 years. Mighty God, show your treasure. God will say, this man, that man, that man, and God will say, he is filthy, dirty rag. How we can be God's treasure? Oh, what a victory! A Krishna becomes God's treasure. A sinner becomes God's personal treasure. Because we are redeemed partially by him, by a special blood. Because we are redeemed partially by him, by a special blood. Psalm 25, verse 4. He has chosen Jacob unto himself. Israel, a peculiar treasure. He has chosen Jacob unto himself. Israel, a peculiar treasure. Psalm 135, verse 4. He has chosen Jacob unto himself. Israel, a peculiar treasure. His love is so wonderful. His grace is so abundant. His victory over death is so unique. Every ruined sinner can become God's forgiven prize. Every ruined sinner can become God's forgiven prize. Matthew 13, verse 46. Who, when he had found one forgiven prize, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. Matthew 13, verse 46. Who, when he had found one forgiven prize, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. Who, when he had found one forgiven prize, went and sold all that he had, and bought it. He gave the whole party of Brooklyn. He made us filthy, dirty, ragged, simple, a good prize. He made us filthy, dirty, ragged, simple, a good prize. Matthew victory, the unique victory, none of us can become partakers in victory. None of us can become partakers in victory. But what if our sins are forgiven? But what if our sins are forgiven? And our spirits are inwardly thoroughly cleansed by Him, by the blood. And only the Lord Jesus Christ alone can forgive your sins. And only the Lord Jesus Christ alone can forgive your sins. We want that victory. And we are daily yoga samar. Now be sure you are still not forgiven. And come and feel to repenting heart. And He will forgive you right now. And cleanse you. And come into you. And pour pure unchanging love into your spirit. And the hope of becoming a shining pearl. And shall we pray? Kindly don't move to the prayer. Say what you want. Be very very patient till the end. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, our loving spirits, thank you for this evening. Thank you for thy loving presence. Thank you for thy word to us. Thank you for thy mighty victory which can be now manifested not of us. We thank thee for the Lord Jesus Christ our loving Saviour who died in our stead for our sins to make us more than conquerors. And we serve thy goodness forever. And be with those who are not calling upon thee and this is forgiven. Right now all may be forgiven. In one recovery year, my son, my daughter and I shall be forgiven. With these words I'll be open. The heart be softened. The time be transformed. We live out the power of sin. And we fill divine life. Everlasting life. And become thy everlasting treasure and possession. We may feel thy presence. Hear thy voice. Enjoy thy fellowship. And many more find thy joy and peace through their thoughts of life. Pleasant thy world. We pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. Will you kindly remain present for a few more moments?
