Milton Green

Milton Green (1943 - 1987). American evangelist and Bible teacher born in Tennessee. Raised in a troubled home with an abusive father, he spiraled into alcoholism, drug addiction, and homelessness, suffering a major heart attack at 43 that left doctors predicting his death. Converted in 1972 after crying out to Jesus, he was miraculously healed and began studying Scripture intensely. A carpet cleaner by trade, Green preached across the U.S. from the late 1970s to 1987, often alongside James Robison and Leonard Ravenhill, focusing on repentance, holiness, and spiritual warfare. He authored The Great Falling Away Today (1986), warning against carnal Christianity, and recorded hundreds of sermons, widely shared online. Married to Joyce, a Christian who prayed for his salvation, they had no children. His teachings, emphasizing victory over sin through Christ, stirred thousands at seminars, though some criticized his focus on demonic influence. Green’s words, “God’s Word is the only standard for truth,” underscored his uncompromising style. His ministry, marked by humility, continues to influence evangelical circles globally

Sermon Summary
In this sermon, the preacher emphasizes the concept of the day of the Lord, where God will judge and punish all nations based on their actions. He warns that whatever one gives out, they will receive in return. The preacher urges listeners to repent and turn to Jesus Christ, even if it means going against the opinions of family members. The sermon also references various biblical passages, such as Obadiah and James, to support the message of God's wrath and the consequences of choosing to be an enemy of the Lord.

This is tape number 13 in the series. We urge you to listen to all the tapes in the series in numerical order, so that the whole teaching can be received and understood. Listening to a part of the series, or to the tapes out of sequence, can lead to a misunderstanding of the nature, the intent, and the importance of the series. Now let's go back over there. We got permission to, haven't we? Look here. We don't have to just use... We're not going to use just part of the Bible, are we? The whole Bible is a revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen? So now you're going to read all about him. Now here's this Day of the Lord. We even found some in Obadiah. Some of that people didn't even know it was in there. Oh, what did you read in Obadiah this morning? Obadiah verse 15. It's talking about the Day of the Lord. The Day of the Lord draws near on all nations. As you have done... There it is again. As you have done, what's going to happen to you? That's the Day of the Lord. As you have done, it's going to be done to you. How many understand the tribulation now? What you give out is what you get, brother. You had better repent and head as far as you can to the Lord Jesus Christ, and fall at his feet and cry out to him. If the whole world don't like it, if your mama don't like it, and your daddy don't like it, and your sister don't like it, or anyone else, your brother or anyone else don't like it, you better choose between God who you're going to serve this day. And I say in that kindly as I can. For the Day of the Lord draws near on all nations. And as you have done, it's going to be done to you. Your dealings will return on your own head. Verse 17. But on Mount Zion, there will be those who escape. Now, you're seeing that? They're going to escape because they're walking in repentance and holiness. And it will be holy in Mount Zion. And the house of Jacob, this is the house of Jacob. They will possess their possessions. They're going to possess the land. Then the house of Jacob will be, there's going to be a fire. And the house of Jacob's going to be aflame. And the house of Esau, all that harlot church of flesh, is going to be, will be as stubble. They're going to be burned up in this fire. Why? Because they have sold their inheritance for the desires of the flesh. And they will set them on fire and consume them so that there will be no survivor of the house of Esau. The whole bunch is going to be destroyed for the Lord has spoken. Jeremiah 15. We might start back in Genesis in a minute. In Genesis, I mean in Jeremiah chapter 50. I tell you what I have, I have about 14 places I'm wanting to go to and I'm just trying to know which way to go here. Amen? In Jeremiah 50 verse 2. Declare and proclaim among the nations, proclaiming and lift up a standard. Do not conceal it, but say the harlot church has been captured. Babylon. Now here he is saying to the remnant right here in verse 3. For a nation has come up against her out of the what? North. And we know that nation out of the north is the powers of darkness. Amen? That's the sun of destruction, this is a flood. It will make their land an object of horror and there will be no inhabitant, there will be no spiritual inhabitant in it. Both man and beast have wandered off, they've gone away. In those days and at that time declares the Lord. The true sons of Israel are the wise virgins. Will come both they and the sons of Judah as well. In Hebrews 8 and 8 this new covenant is made with the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah. They will go along weeping. Uh oh. Here the wise virgins, the true sons of Israel, they're going along during this time of destruction. They're going to be weeping in repentance as they go. And it will be the Lord their God they will seek. They are going to ask for the way to Zion. And they're turning their faces in its direction. It's not Babylon or somewhere else they're headed for Zion. They will come that they may join themselves to the Lord. In an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten. Because this is what has happened across the land. The Lord says my people have become lost sheep as they walk in this lawlessness. Their shepherds have led them astray. They have made them turn aside on the mountains. They've turned aside, fallen away. They have gone along from the mountains to the hill. They have forgotten their what? The resting place of peace and rest. All who came upon them have devoured them. And their adversaries have said we're not guilty. Inasmuch as they have sinned against the Lord they've transgressed the law and we have ground to come into them. They broke God's law. We're not guilty inasmuch as they have sinned against the Lord who is the habitation of righteousness. Verse 8, wander away from the midst of this harlot church Babylon. And go forth from the land of the Chaldeans. The Chaldean is a type of the army there which is the powers of darkness. Be also like a male goat at the head of the flock. Take some others out with you. For of a whole I'm going to rouse and bring up against Babylon. I'm going to bring an army, here it is, of great nations from the land of the north. That's them. This is a flood. And they shall draw up their battle lands against her. From there she shall be taken captive. Their arrows will be like expert warriors who do not return empty handed. Now verse 11, because you are glad, because you are jubilant, O you who pillage my heritage, you take the book of God, the people of God, the money of God, the things of God, and use it for selfish ambition. You pillage my heritage because you skip about like a threshing heifer and you neigh like stans. Your mother will be greatly ashamed, this mother harlot church, who gave you birth will be humiliated. Behold, she will be the least of the nations. A wilderness, she's going to be a parched land and you can walk on any of them and it's a parched land. They're not receiving anything but death. And it's a desert. It's a land of burning waste. It produces no fruit or life. Why? Because of the indignation of the Lord. She will not be inhabited because the Lord has sent his army of indignation against her instruments. And she'll become of complete desolation. That's the abomination that he sends to make desolation. Everyone who passes by this harlot church is going to be horrified. And they're going to hiss because of all her sickness and wounds that's coming upon her. Draw up your battle lines against this harlot church on every side. Surround that army. The army is surrounding her right now in Luke 21. And her voice roars like a sea. All you who can bend the bow, shoot at her. Do not be sparing with your arrows for she has sinned, broken God's law, sinned against the Lord. Raise up your battle cry against her on every side. That's how she's surrounded. She's on every side. She has given herself up. Her pillars have fallen. Her walls have been torn down for this is the vengeance of the Lord. Take vengeance on her. And here's the righteous judgment of God. As she has done to others, so do to her. If you give out death, you get death. And then we look in verse 20 at the search for the righteous. The lamp is burning in Jerusalem. Verse 20. And those days and that time declares the Lord at that very time. We circle at that time. And during that time, a search will be made for the sins of the iniquity. But there are going to be none. And for the sins of Judah, but they're going to be none. That's Zion. For I shall pardon those in Zion whom I leave what? A remnant and they're going to escape from this army. Now verse 24. I set a snare for you. Do you remember the snare in Job 18? And you were also caught, O Babylon, while yourself were not aware. For you foolish virgins, you were asleep. You have been found and also seized. Because you have engaged in conflict with the Lord. James 4.4. You've chosen to be an enemy of the Lord by blessing God and cursing your neighbor. The Lord has opened his armory. He has brought out forth the weapons of his indignation. For it is the work of the Lord of hosts. Now I want you to hold something right there. Do you know what his weapons of indignation are? First, I want you to look at me. The Lord is jealous for your hearts. Then your hearts go to lawlessness. The Lord becomes indignant because you do that. And then his wrath goes forth and he turns loose his army of indignation on you. And that is the flood. That's the sun of destruction that destroys. Now I'm going to let you see them here just a minute. For those of you not familiar with it, hold your place and turn back to Isaiah 13. Isaiah 13. Isaiah 13. He said he was using his instruments of indignation for destruction. And we see it in verse 3. I have commanded my consecrated ones, I have even called my mighty warriors, that's his army, my proudly exulting ones, that's his army of demons, the sun of destruction, the flood, to execute my anger. A sound of tumult on the mountains, and because the joy has been removed by them too, and that of many people, a sound of uproar of kingdoms, a nation gathered together, the Lord of hosts is mustering the what? The army for battle. They're coming from a far country, from the farthest horizon, that's the ends of the earth. The Lord and his instruments of indignation you saw over there in Jeremiah 50. And they are going to destroy the whole land. Well, for the day of the Lord, that's his instruments, is near, they're the flood. And it will come as destruction, because they are suns of destruction, from the Almighty. Therefore all hands will hang limp, who are not in Zion, walking straight past. Every man's heart will melt. And they'll be terrified. Pains and anguish will take hold of them, and they're going to writhe like a woman in labor, as these suns of destruction move into their body. There's the birth pains. They will look at one another in astonishment in the Holy Church. Their faces aflame, and we know they're going to run over to the wise virgins, and they're going to say, our lamp is going out. Give us the Spirit. We need the Spirit and all. And ten and seven will cling to one man. And this is happening very, very soon. First sign, behold, the day of the Lord is coming. It's cruel, with fury, burning anger. Hold your place right there, and I want you to turn with me to Jeremiah 30. And I want you to see something this day of the Lord. To Jeremiah 30. I just want to read just a little. Jeremiah 30, verse 5. For thus says the Lord, I've heard a sound of terror, of dread, and there is no peace. Ask now and see if a male can give birth. If a male can't give birth, why is he bent over like a woman in birth pains, in pain and torment? Now let's read it again. Verse 6, ask now and see if a male can give birth. Why do I see every man with his hands on his lawns as a woman in childbirth? Why have all faces turned pale with plagues, pestilence, weakness, and disease? Alas, for that day of the Lord is great. There is none like it. This is a great tribulation. And it is a time of Jacob's distress. But the true church, the remnant, but he will save. He will be saved from it. In verse 11. For I am with you, remnant, declares the Lord, to save you. For I will destroy completely all the nations where I have scattered you. Only I will not destroy you completely. But I will chasten you justly. Are you being chastened right now? And will by no means leave you unpunished. For thus says the Lord. And he's talking about the adulterous again now. This is why it throws people off. They think that they keep reading there and they don't know when he's speaking to the remnant. And he's thinking everything's just going to be alright. And it's the remnant in Zion he stops to speak a word to. And they think well everything's going to be alright. And they continue to teach peace and safety. Are y'all catching what I'm showing you right there? Alright. For thus says the Lord to the harlot. Your wound is incurable. Your injury is serious. There is no one. You don't have no advocate. The Lord Jesus Christ to plead your cause. You've broken covenant. No healing is for your soul. No recovery for you. All your lovers have forgotten you. They do not. The lovers were the powers of darkness. They do not seek you. For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy. With a punishment of a cruel one. That's the sun to destruction, the flood. Because your iniquity is great and your sins are numerous. Why do you cry over your injury? Your pain is incurable because your iniquity is great. And your sins are numerous. I have done these things to you. Amen? Now we're back in Isaiah 13 verse 9. You continue holding on to Jeremiah 50. Now Isaiah 13 verse 9. Behold the day of the Lord is coming. Cruel with fury and burning anger. To make the land a desolation. He will exterminate its sinners from it. Do you remember what we saw in 2 Thessalonians 1? And that's exactly what he's talking about in Matthew 24. For the stars of the heavens and their constellation will not flash forth their light. Because we're talking about the spiritual realm. Because of this cloud and this army of powers of darkness. The sun will be dark when it rises. The moon will not shed its light. Thus I'll punish the world for its evil. And the wicked for their iniquities. I'll also put an end to the arrogance of the proud. Abase the haughtiness of the ruthless. I'll make mortal man scarcer than pure gold. And mankind than the gold of Urphur. When he shakes the heaven and the earth. That's when he comes and brings his flood against the foundations. Therefore I'll make the heavens tremble. And the earth will be what? I can't hear you. Looking at me folks. That's the spiritual earthquake when they come to check your foundation. And if you're not standing on the word of God. You'll be removed. And it's only those things which cannot be shaken are going to remain. And that's the elect who walk holy and righteous. Who hear the word of God and act on it. And that silver and gold that people have and everything else. They'll throw it out in the street. And after they've heard this gospel and they've refused it. It'll be a witness to them. And they'll never get in the ark. And they'll try and Revelation said to destroy themselves. And they won't even. They'll try to commit suicide. And they won't even be able to do that. Verse 13. Therefore I'll make the heavens tremble. And the earth will be shaken from its place. At the fury of the Lord of hosts. In the day of the Lord. In the day of its burning anger. Now we're back in chapter Jeremiah 50 verse 25. The Lord has opened his armory. And has brought forth the weapons of what? His indignation. Do you see what these weapons are right now? For it is a work of the Lord God of hosts. And now we just see what he says to the remnant now. See he stops and says things to the remnant. Because the remnant has to know what's happening around you. And where you're going to be remnant. And that's why you're here at this meeting here right now. So you'll know. Now in chapter 28. There is a sound of the fugitives. That's the exiles. And the refugees. From the land of Babylon. Now see they're leaving out of there. They're going to be leaving more and more. They're going to be refugees and exiles. It's coming out of the harlot church. And they're coming with their faces to Zion. And they're going to declare in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God. And going to be describing the things that's happening in there. Because it's a time of vengeance for the temple of the Lord. Amen. Some and many. There comes the army. That we've been reading about. The weapons of indignation now against Babylon. All those who've been the bold. The worst of the nations. That camp around her on every side. They're surrounding. It's the army surrounding the harlot whore in Jerusalem. Let there be no escape. Here's the righteous judge of God. Repay her according to her work. According to all that she has done. So do to her. And you remember that in Revelation 18. It says give her back twice as much as she's given to others. For she has become arrogant against the Lord. Against the Holy One of Israel. Therefore her young men will fall in their streets. And all her men of war will be silenced in that day of the Lord declares the Lord. Which is on us right now. Behold I'm against you oh arrogant one you harlot whore church. Declares the Lord God of hosts. For your day has come. This is the day of the Lord. The time when I shall punish you. And the arrogance will stumble in spiritual darkness. They'll break God's law. And they will fall. Be destroyed. And no one will raise him up. And I shall set fire to his churches. He's going to move the powers of darkness in there. As we saw in Psalm 74. And it will devour all this environment. It's going to leave you like a forest that's been cut down. With an iron axe. And then once again he has a word to the remnant right here. He says. Verse 33. Thus says the Lord of hosts. The sons of Israel are oppressed. And the sons of Judah as well. And all that took them captive have helped them fight. They refuse to let them go. But their Redeemer is strong. Now this is going to be the remnant. The Lord of hosts is his name. He will vigorously going to plead our case. Amen. So that he may bring rest to the earth. The remnant. But he's going to continue the turmoil to the inhabitants of Babylon. That is to the foolish virgins. Amen. And verse 36. A curse against the oracle priests. The ones who are preaching these false teachers. There's going to be a curse on them. And they will become fools. A curse. He just turns the powers of darkness. And make them believe it bittersweet. And make them believe the biggest lies there ever was. And they will believe what is false. And they will be teaching. And they will be giving people poison water. You know in Deuteronomy it tells about the false signs and wonders. That the Lord will permit people to come. That people will come and do in Deuteronomy 13. To have your heart tested. To see where you are going to follow man or follow God. And so he permits it to happen. This is a choice that people have made. Amen. Verse 36. A sword against the oracle priests. And they will become fools. A sword. A curse against her mighty men. And they are going to be shattered. A curse against the horses. The horses are the people that walk strong after the flesh. Where people follow them, they follow after flesh. They follow after horses. And it's going to be against their chariots that carry these carts. And against all the foreigners. That's the worldly. Who are in the midst of her. And they are going to become like women. You know how when a man comes like woman, he's becoming weak. Amen. And a curse against her treasures. All of her hundred dollar bills. All these things they build up. And they are going to be plundered. Is it already being plundered, folks? A drought and a famine on her waters. And they are going to be dried up. They are going to have no understanding about the word of God. For it is a land of idols. And they go mad trying to protect over their fearsome idols. Verse 41. Behold, a people is coming from the north. We saw it in Jeremiah. This is the sons of destruction, the flood. The instruments, the army of God's indignation. And a great nation. And they have many kings. Can I tell you some of the kings? The kings are jealousy. Look at me. Approval of men. Greed. Pride. These kings are roots. And from these roots, he becomes a ruler demon over certain fortresses and strongholds in you. And they come, these kings come to get you to love them more than God. And when you love these kings of lawlessness more than you do God. You break God's law. And they have permission to come in and destroy you. Because that's the judgment of God's law. You prove you don't love them with all your heart. Amen? Isn't that amazing? Verse 41. Behold, a people is coming from the north. And a great nation and many kings will be aroused from the remote parts of the earth. That's what we saw back in Jeremiah. They seize their bows and javelin. They're cruel and they have no mercy. And here they are. Their voice roars like a sea. Do you remember what we saw over in Luke 21? Amen. Well, the kings of Babylon and the harlots have heard the report about them. And his hands hang limp in 43. Distress has gripped him. Agony like a woman in childbirth. Let's go on over to chapter 51. Verse 1. Thus says the Lord. Behold, I'm going to rouse against Babylon. And against the inhabitants of a hard word. The spirit of a destroyer. That's the army. I shall dispatch foreigners to Babylon. That they may win her. That's these foreigners. It's going to be the powers of darkness. And they may devastate her land. For on every side. Every side means they're surrounded. They will be opposed to her. In the day of the Lord. In the day of her calamity. What she's given out is what she's going to get. Now the Lord has a word to the remnant. In verse 5. For neither Israel nor Judah has been forsaken. Remnant, you haven't been forsaken. By his God, the Lord of hosts. Although their land is full of guilt. Before the Holy One of Israel. But flee from the midst of this harlot church. And each of you save his life. Do not be destroyed in her punishment. For this is the Lord's time of vengeance. And then we go on in verse 7. The harlot church has been a golden cup in the hand of the Lord. Intoxicating all the earth. If anyone loves the harlot more than they do God. He lets them go right in there. It's all in Deuteronomy 13. An example if you want to use the example. The nations have drunk of her wine. They've drunken this teaching. Behold the nations are going mad. Suddenly Babylon has fallen and been broken. Well over her bring balm for her pain. Are you already seeing this happen folks? Hold up your hand. Are you already seeing it come down? The Lord of hosts has sworn by his. Wait a minute. I lost my place right there. Yeah, I looked away. Now he's talking to the remnant right again. Right in verse 9. Now let's go in verse 8. Suddenly Babylon has fallen and been broken. Well over her bring balm for her pain. Try to go over and heal her. Perhaps you'll be healed. We applied healing to Babylon. We tried to help her. But she was not healed. Forsake her and let each of us go to his own country. For her judgment has reached to heaven. And it towers up the various skies. Is that exactly what we saw in Revelation 18? The Lord has brought about our vindication. Now this is all for Zion that he's destroying Babylon. Come and let us recount in Zion. Let's go to Zion. The work of the Lord our God. And tell about the judgment that's going over in the harlot whore church today. Amen? Verse 11. Sharpen the heirs. Fill the quiver. The Lord has aroused the spirit of the king of Medes. That's the flood. The sons of destruction. Because his purpose is against this harlot church. To destroy it. For it is the vengeance of the Lord. Vengeance. For his temple. Verse 13. O you who dwell by many waters, abundant in treasures. You've got many buildings. You've got many treasures here on this earth. And it's full of dead man's bones. Your end has come. The measure of your end. Now have we been reading about the end? That's what Matthew says. The Lord of hosts has sworn by himself. Now watch this very closely. Surely I will fill you with a population like what? Locusts and they'll cry out with shouts of victory over you. Why don't you look at me right here, folks. Because Babylon is a world church. That's a church of Egypt. They walk and talk like the world. Their wisdom is worldly, fleshly, and demonic. It's just exactly like it was when Moses, who's a type of Jesus, came to take a people out of Egypt. And Moses said, let my people go. God says, let my people go that they can come out and worship me. You've got them in bondage there. You've divided up my inheritance. And you've pillaged my inheritance. And you have them serving your selfish ambition with your bricks and straw. Let my people go. And you remember all the plagues that came on Egypt. These same plagues are coming upon the harlot church right now. Instead of the locusts, it's the flood and army and sons of destruction. That's what you just saw. God is saying, let my people go that they'll come out and worship me. You know, you just stand here and he just begins showing you. See, that's his vengeance on Babylon for the sake of his saints. When you won't let her go, let his people go. It just keeps coming on you and coming on you until you destroy them. That's how it is, vengeance for his saints. You know, in Revelation 18, he said, I'm destroying them as vengeance for you, Zion. In other words, they're not wanting to let my people go that they come out and worship me. So all the plagues that went on Egypt are coming on the harlot today. I mean, see that? That's vengeance. And those things just make chills on me. I already see things just a little bit. When the Lord just, you know, just, I wondered, you know, how, how was that vengeance for? Why, why was he, in other words, why, if God wanted to destroy him, I could see God wanted to destroy him. But why, why is he saying that he's destroying them because of the people in Zion? Because the people in Zion are his people. And they've been holding his people and wouldn't let them go. That's why it's vengeance for Zion. Amen? Are you following what I'm saying? I didn't know why I made that clear, because I just saw it myself. Now, if you want, we got over to verse 14, didn't we? Verse 20. Praise God. Lord, I just, I'm just so thankful to you. And you're so precious. And I just want to thank you for all of us, Lord, for what you're showing us. I thank you for that grace and mercy. And we just, we just honor you and glorify your word in Jesus' name. Praise God. Verse 20. Well, let's go back to verse 14 so you, you see it right here. Verse 14, he's saying right there, Surely I'm going to fill you with a population like locusts, that's the powers of darkness, the sons of destruction. And they're going to cry out with shouts of victory over you. Now, there are his sentiments of indignation in verse 20. And he says, You, you demons, sons of destruction, my sentiments of indignation, my army, you are my war club, my weapons of war. And with you, you army and sons of destruction, I'm going to shatter nations. And with you demons, I'm going to destroy kingdoms. And with you demons, I'm going to shatter the horse and the rider. The horse and rider are the ones that ride and follow after flesh instead of following the Lord and the Spirit of God. You hear what I'm saying? And with you demons, I'm going to shatter the chariot and the rider, the one that rides after the carts. And with you, I'm going to shatter the man and the woman. And with you demons, I'm going to shatter the old man and the youth. And with you demons, I'm going to shatter the young man and the virgin. And with you demons, I'm going to shatter the shepherd and his flock. Folks, could anything be any clearer? This is plainer than anything in the morning news, isn't it? Verse 29. They come, they're the earthquake that blames the spiritual earthquake on this earth. Verse 29. So the land quake, it's a spiritual earthquake. And it rise. They come to check your foundation. And everything that can be removed is going to be destroyed by them. And only those things which cannot be removed, that's those who hear the Word of God and act on it, are the only ones that cannot, the flood's not going to remove. For the purpose of the Lord against Babylon's stand, to make the land of Babylon a what? It's going to be a desolation without inhabitants. And they're the abomination that makes desolation. Verse 30. The mighty men of Babylon have ceased fighting. They're staying in their strongholds. Their strength is exhausted. And you know what this exhaustion is going to lead into? Just death. It's going to drop. They're becoming like women. They're weak. Their dwelling places are set on fire because the powers of darkness have entered into the dwelling places. The bars of their gates are broken. Now we've got to reward to the remnant. See, you need to know what you're supposed to be doing, where you're standing, while you're seeing what's happening all around you. Because we, look at me, folks. We know, the brethren are going to know, the remnant are going to know. You're going to be caught like 1 Thessalonians 5, like a thief in the night. But you know those who are walking in stubbornness to God's law, and they're teaching peace and safety, then destruction will come on them. Like a woman with childbirth pains. That's what in 1 Thessalonians 5. But we're not sons of darkness. We're sons of light. And we can see this and know this. And see there's going to be so much more. So much more we can't even get into right here, now. And you're going to know and see what's going on. But you cannot communicate it to no one. Just go ahead and wear yourself out like I did and try it. You can only communicate it through those, one thing. Number one, you're going to walk in love. And number two, the Spirit of God. That's the only way it will ever be communicated. And that's exactly how the Lord is going to use you to communicate it. So don't be a coward. If you've got a light, don't hide it under the bushel. The light's the divine nature. Because we're lights in the world, and that's where the world spreads to get people out of it. But I just want to tell you, be in the Spirit and walk in love right through Babylon. Amen? And love, and when you're attacked or whatever you've done, people speak against you. See, one of the things that you'll have to get adjusted to is that people will be scared to death of you. I go and I watch fear all over the place. But the powers of darkness are trying to make them scared to death of me. Because if they make them afraid of me, then they will not listen to what you say. You hear what I'm saying? Fear is a menace to the powers of darkness. I was recently in a place where I was going to be sharing there. And I got into a motel near there. And somebody showed up in my motel room at 7 o'clock in the morning. And you know, it's precious people. All people are precious. God thinks all people are worth more than the whole world. One person is worth more than the whole world to God. What will you give in exchange for your soul? Will you give the whole world in exchange for your soul? Well, in other words, what if you gain the whole world and lose your soul? You know, if you have the whole world, you'll lose your soul. Because the soul is more important than the whole world to God. Are you hearing me? I finally got that turned around and said it. So we see now in verse 34, he speaks a word to the remnant right here. Remnant? Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Satan has devoured me and crushed me. He has set me down like an empty vessel. He has swallowed me like a monster. He has filled his stomach with my delicacies. He has washed me away. May the violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, the harlot church. The inhabitant of Zion will say. Are you seeing this as to the remnant? See how the Lord puts that in a word? And may my blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea. Jerusalem will say. Therefore thus says the Lord. Behold, I am going to plead your case, Zion. And I'm going to exact full vengeance for you. And you get back to Revelation 18, 20 and 24. Because they wouldn't let you go. I'm going to dry up her sea and I'm going to make her fountains dry. And Babylon will become. It's going to become a heap of ruins. A haunt of jackals. That's where the powers of darkness just move in. That's where they're going to live. An object of horror and hissing without inhabitants. They will roar together like young lions. In other words, the people are going to. Look here. Look at me, folks. They're going to become so demonized and so full. They'll have such hatred and anger. They're going to roar and talk just like demons. Instead of being an image of God. They're going to be an image of Satan. They're going to roar just like these young lions. And they're going to growl at one another like lion cubs. Are you seeing that? Anger. And so when you see them, then you see all these things. Just don't be bothered by it. Amen. Because you can get in among them in this love. And see, now let me tell you something. In the ignorance that I was walking in. And many of you kind of know this. And I'm not saying this in any boastful way. But when I was in here and I was making it going to happen. I'd get into a place like that. And I'd just spit this word out. And I'd just tear them, you know, with a word. And let them walk out or whatever they wanted to do. You know, and everything. And I'd just say this word, you know, and everything. And you know, because in my ignorance, I didn't know what I was doing. See what I mean? But now, I go in and share it in love. Because in my heart, see, some things had to be taken out of my life. Because that's why the ark has to be carried on Holy Sanctified's shoulder. Because you can take the word and go condemn someone. Instead of loving them and helping them. See what I'm saying? So if you see why this word hasn't just taken off and spread in this message not being known. It doesn't go until the Spirit of God lets it go. And it's not going to go until we get cleaned up to carry it. Amen. See, we're used to that word being carried on a cart. Somebody's ministry. Or somebody's denomination. Or somebody got them a chariot to carry it on. See what I mean? Okay. Now. So verse 38. They will roar together like young lions. They will growl like lion cubs. When they become heated up, I shall serve them their banquet. I'm going to make them drunk. That's poison water. That they are going to become jubilant. They're going to be excited. Praise God. Hallelujah to Jesus. And they're going to sleep a perpetual sleep. And they never are going to wake up, declares the Lord. While they're having a good time after the flesh, religion. And I'm going to bring them down like lambs to the slaughter. Like rams together with male goats. Now I want you to see something right here. Hold your place and turn with me to Revelation 18. Folks, could anything be any plainer? Would you like to go out and let the worries of the world, desires of the riches, and desires for pleasures of this life, remove these things from you? I tell you what, I've watched people for the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds. Their life is totally shamed. They're shaken to pieces and they go right back out to the worries of the world. And they lose it. And you know, I tell you, you better walk in the light while you've got the light. Alright, now what are we seeing right there? We see in verse 7. To the degree, Revelation 18, to the degree that she's glorified herself and lives sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning. Right? That's a righteous judgment of God. And look in verse 6. Pay her back even as she has paid and give back her double according to what? Her deeds, right? So then we see in verse 8. For this reason, in one day, here comes these powers that are the sons of destruction and are going to bring plagues. Do you remember the curses? The first morning of death? He's going to bring the plagues, the pestilence, the mourning, the famine. She's going to be burned up with fire, but the Lord who judges her is strong. Amen? Is this what we've been seeing? We're in the last days now. And verse 9. And the kings of the earth who have committed acts of immorality and sensuality will weep and lament over her when they see the smoke of her what? The fire. Now, I want you to hold your place. Can you turn to another place? I want to show you what smoke is. See, she's being burned by the powers of darkness. I want you to look. I'm going to read it to you. I'm not going to wait. I'm just going to read it and then I'm going to tell you where it is in just a minute because it would take too long for everybody to get there. I'm getting close. All right, now. I'm going to read this to you. And then you can write it out from that when you talk about the smoke. I'm just going to read one verse and it's Psalm 3720. Now, listen to this. But the wicked will perish and the enemies of the Lord will be like the glory of the pastors. You know what the glory of the pastor is? The glory of a pastor is the flowers that grow up in a pastor. And it says the enemies of the Lord are going to be like these flowers that are in a pastor. They're going to look real good, but then they're going to vanish like smoke. They're going to vanish away. We'll see later on in Isaiah 1 that the harlot church is going to be like a garden that's not watered. Do you ever see a garden that doesn't have any water on it? Do you see how everything just begins to wither until it's absolutely burned up? That's the kind of fire that the moth and rottenness bring on you, that you just wither and wither like a garden that has no water. And that's what it's referring to when it's talking about the smoke of our torment. And it's beginning in the harlot church first. That's where it's beginning. And you already see it. Tell me if you're not seeing it. Now in the midst of this, God is calling out a remnant of people that want to love Him with all their heart. Now you're here by the divine appointment of God, but if you have got idols, some things you love more than God, you'll walk right back out of here and you're in for hell forever. And I'll tell you what, that this word is going to be a witness against you, as I've seen it be a witness against others. You hear this word and you go and turn another direction from it, you'll find hell all over you. You trample underfoot the blood of the covenant and the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. I want to tell you that what I'm telling you right now is a love story for you. But it's destruction for everyone else that does not have a sincere love and respect for God, honor God. That does not honor God in their thoughts and their motives. And I don't have to say this or change it to please nobody. Because this is exactly what the Bible is telling you. And the only thing you have to join anymore is the Lord. Because any man that has any sense at all doesn't need you to join him at all, except in the Lord. Amen? Now, and we're still in Revelation 19. Look at verse 20. Rejoice over her, O heavens, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because the Lord has pronounced judgment for you against her because she's not letting her people go. Now, I want you to hold your place right there. And I need to share something with you first right there. I want you to turn back to Matthew 18. You need to see this. Now, I want you to see this. In Matthew 18, I'm going to read a couple of verses to you. In Matthew 18, verse 7. I think, I don't know, let's look in verse 6. But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble. Do you know something? I was 43 years old when I came to the Lord. Do you know what I was? A little one. Brand new baby. And anyone that caused one of these little ones to stumble, it would be better for him that he had a heavy millstone to be hung around his neck and that he be drowned in the depths of the sea. Woe to the world because of his stumbling blocks. Did we see in Matthew 13 that he's the angels are going to bring the fire and the first thing the harvest is going to do is remove all stumbling blocks. Shake your head at me. In tears. Amen. For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come, but woe and cursed is that man through whom the stumbling block comes. Now we're back over in Revelation 18. And you're still holding to Jeremiah 51. Now in Revelation 18 it says this. Verse 21. And a strong angel. I want you to remember something else. Just look down there in verse 23. And the light of the lamp will not shine in you any longer, and the voice of the bridegroom and the bride will not be heard in you any longer, so you'll know that we're talking about this same harlot church that I'm reading about over there. So you know. Amen? Now so we go back up there to verse 21. And a strong angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and he threw it into the sea, saying thus will Babylon the stumbling block, the great stumbling block harlot whore church, be thrown down with violence and will not be found any longer. Now what that is saying right there, this is a sea. You see an example of it in Zechariah 10 and 11. It's a sea of distress. This sea is the flood of the powers of darkness. Now let me ask you something. Well I better show you that a little later on. But see in this sea, look here. Babylon, is everybody looking? Babylon teaches doctrines that do not lead you to love God. But they draw you off to serve the selfish ambition and selfish nature of men. And they hold up an image to the beast, and when you receive this doctrine and you bow down to it, you become in the image and likeness of Satan. You become like the beast. And they're stumbling blocks. And they lead you into lawlessness and to break God's law, and they shed the blood of the righteous by leading them into lawlessness, and they teach you that you have peace although you're walking in stubbornness to God's law. The hedge comes down, the flood, who are the powers of darkness, who is the sea, devour all the stumbling blocks as you saw in Matthew 13. And the sea covers them up. It's a sea of distress that's on the world right now. Now, and then we would go back to Jeremiah. We're back in Jeremiah 51 and we'll take up where we left off. Verse 42. The sea has come up over Babylon. She has been engulfed with its tumultuous waves. Now are you seeing that? Now, let me just show you something a little different. I want you to hold your place and turn with me to Isaiah 43. Isaiah 43. Well, no, Isaiah 42. Okay? Boy, I'll tell you what's the truth. Now many think that when the shout of the Lord comes, he's going to say, Harlot, come up here. But in Isaiah 42, verse 13, the Lord will go forth, verse 13, like a warrior. He will rouse his zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout. Yes, he will raise a war cry. This shout is. It's a warning of judgment. He will prevail against his enemies. I have kept silent for a long time. I've kept still and restrained myself. I've restrained my army. But now, like a woman in labor, I will groan, I will grasp in pain. I'm going to lay waste these mountains and hills. I'm going to wither all their vegetation. They're going to be like a garden with no water. I'm going to make the rivers into coastlands, drylands. I'm going to dry up the ponds. Because he's turning loose these powers of darkness on a people who do not have a heart for him. Look in verse 18. He says, Hear you deaf, and look you blind, that you may see. Who is so blind but My servants, who say they are My servants? Who so deaf is My messenger, whom I send? Who is so blind that he that is at peace with Me, and has no fear of Me, are so blind as a servant of the Lord? You've seen many things, but you do not observe them. Your ears are closed, but none hears. The Lord was pleased for His righteousness' sake to make the law, to make the law of liberty. It's a law great and glorious, but this is a people who didn't keep the law. They're plundered and despoiled. They practice lawlessness. All of them are trapped in caves or hidden away in these prisons that the powers of darkness have got them. And they become a prey with none to deliver them. They broke covenant. And a spoil with none to say, give them back. Who among you is going to give ear to this? Who is going to give heed and listen hereafter? God wants to know who was it before it gave Jacob up for spoil, judgment, and Israel to the plunders, the curses? Was it not the Lord against whom we've sinned? And whose will they were not willing to walk? And whose law they did not obey? And he poured out on him the army, the heat of his wrath, anger, and the fierceness of battle, and has set him aflame all around. Yet today he does not even recognize it, and it's burning him. But he does not even pay attention. Now I want you to see something, folks. I want everybody to look at me here, just a minute. When Moses led, a type of Jesus led the people out of Egypt. When they came out of there, when once they came away from Egypt, and when once you and I come away from Egypt, when they came away from Egypt, they came to the sea. Glory be to God. And then when his people came to the sea, the waters was parted. And there became a wall on this side, which is a hedge. And there became a wall on this side, which is a hedge. And the people of God went through the sea of distress. And then, when the horse and its riders, and the chariots, when Babylon came after them, and spoke against them, when they went into the sea, there was no hedge in protection, and it closed over them. That's what happened to Babylon. Now the people that Moses led through the wilderness, they go through the wilderness experience to learn to trust God, to love Him with all their heart, and go in and possess the promised land, and move the Canaanite nations off the land. They go through the wilderness first to learn that they trust God. They can't do it. And in this wilderness spirit, in this wilderness experience, their hearts didn't, they were faint-hearted. They didn't like, they wanted the life of ease, and they wanted to live in the palaces, and find their treasures, and live for themselves as the people in the world. So their hearts turned back to Egypt, from where they came from. And when their hearts came back, they put all of their gold together, and they made them an image an image to the beast. And instead of bowing to God, they bowed to the image of the beast, which was a gold calf. That's a beast, and that's an image. Because their hearts had turned back. Today, when people's hearts turn back to the world, they'll go to a place where they don't have to endure sound doctrine, and they can have their ears tickled, and they can turn away from the truth, because they are sitting in the Church of Egypt world. When they came to, and many, you know, did not want to go in and possess the land. Put it up there, brother. They did not want, in a day of Moses, they did not want to go in, only just a few, Joshua and Caleb. They didn't want to go in and get these Canaanite nations off the land, because they made bad reports, and they spoke fear. And so, they didn't go in and possess the land of peace and rest, the land of peace and rest, and milk and honey. And their bodies fell in the wilderness. Every one of them was destroyed on the curse of God's law. Today, people who will not go in and possess the land, and will not take the weapons of God, and their heart is faint, are dying, and their bodies are falling in the wilderness. And then Joshua, who was willing to go in and possess the land, in Joshua 3, they came to the river Jordan, which is a type of the river of Satan. The flood, the words. They've got to get over into the promised land. And that river is flooded over its banks that time of year. And they have the ark, which used to be carried on carts. But now, he told the people, separate yourselves, and consecrate yourselves, and be holy. What is in this ark? The commandments. The rod, authority. The man of the bread. The gospel. Jesus. And he said, you follow after this ark, this gospel. Don't touch it. This belongs to God. Don't touch it. Don't hash it, rehash it. Don't change it. Don't touch it. Don't try to control it. You get killed if you do. Follow after it, and keep your distance from it. Because you're going away you've never been before. And so the priest, who had sanctified themselves, went out into the water, the flooded water. Walked right into the flood. And when the soles of their feet touched the water, and they stood there on the word of God, the river parted. The hedge came out, on each side, and all Israel went into the land of the Canaanite nations. When you and I put on the, when you and I put on the weapons in Ephesians 6, and we stand firm on the word of God, then the schemes of Satan and the flood, the river is opened up. And a hedge of peace is around us that we go on and we cross that river of Satan because without God shutting that thing off, you can't stand against it. Amen? And their feet was shod with the gospel. And when your feet stand on the word of God, that's when God's power goes in effect before us. And then you go in and you get all of these Canaanite nations which attach themselves to these sins off the land because if you leave any of them, there are going to be thorns in your side and pricks in your eyes. Because you're getting rid of all of them. So you'll enter into the land of peace and rest from your enemies. Get the Canaanite nations off of it. And now, in Isaiah 43, Hatteras said about the ones, they burned them and they paid no attention. They're falling in the wilderness. Then he begins to speak to the remnant right there. And he says, Isaiah 43, But now thus says the Lord your Creator, O Jacob, who formed you remnant, O Israel, Do not fear, for I have redeemed you, Zion. I have called you by My name, and you are Mine. And when you pass through the waters, I'll be with you. And through the rivers, they are not going to overflow you, the flood. And when you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame going to burn you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. He is the one who will be in the fire with you. And he's going to say, verse 6, I'll say to the north, Give them up. Leave my remnant. And to the south, Do not hold them back. Bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the end of the earth. Everyone is called by My name, and who I have created for My glory. Verse 10, You are My witnesses, declares the Lord, and My servant, whom I have chosen. Verse 14, Thus says the Lord your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, for your sake, I have sent My army to Babylon, is what He is saying, and I'm going to bring them all down as fugitives. I am the Lord your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King. Thus says the Lord, who makes a way through the sea, and a path through the mighty waters. I didn't bit more plan on coming through here in a goose. Who brings forth the chariot and the horse. The army and the mighty men, they will lie down together, and they'll not rise again. They have been quenched and extinguished like a wick. Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder the things of the past anymore. You're going away you've never been before. Behold, I will do something new. You're going to walk in holiness now, and it's going to spring forth. Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness. It's the roadway of holiness. Rivers in the desert. The beasts of the field are going to glorify me. They're going to bow their knee to the Lord. The jackals and the ostriches, they're going to bow to God. Because I've given waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert to give drink to my chosen people. Zion, the people whom I've formed. That's the works of God. Zion is the works of God's hand. The other people follow the works of their own hand. The people whom I've formed for myself will declare my praise. Verse 25, I even I am the one who wipes out your transgression for my own sake. I will not remember your sins. Chapter 44, But I now listen, O Jacob my servant, and Israel whom I've chosen. Thus says the Lord who made you and formed you from the wound, who will help you. Do not fear, O Jacob, my servant, my remnant. Verse 3, For I will pour out water on the thirsty land. This water is the word and revelation that God has given us this moment. And streams on the dry ground, I'll pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessings on your descendants. Verse 6, Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, the Lord Jesus Christ, His Redeemer, the Lord of hosts. I am the first. I am the last. There is no God besides me. Verse 8, Do not tremble and do not be afraid when all these things are happening. Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me? Or is there any other rock besides me? I know of none. Folks, if you're all thinking this is something I figured out, and I'm up here sharing, I'm just telling you that it's really not. So you'll know that you're hearing from God right here, if you don't already know it. We're back in chapter 51. Verse 42, The sea has come up over Babylon. She has been engulfed with its tumultuous waves. Verse 45, Come forth from her, my people, and each of you save yourselves from the fierce anger of the Lord. Verse 48, Then heaven and earth and all that is in them will shout for joy over Babylon, for the destroyers will come to her from the north, declares the Lord. Indeed, Babylon is to fall for the slaying of Israel and also for Babylon the slaying of all the earth have fallen. You who have escaped the curse, sword, depart. Do not stay. Remember the Lord from afar. Go somewhere else. Get away from it. And let Jerusalem, the true church of Jesus Christ, come to your mind. We are ashamed because we have heard reproach. Disgrace has covered our faces, for aliens, the flood, the suns of destruction, have entered the holy places of the Lord's house. That's how the man of lawlessness enters the temple. Verse 53, Though Babylon should ascend to the heaven, though, she should fortify her lofty strongholds from me. I wonder who's doing all this talking from me. Destroyers will come to her, declares the Lord. The sound of an outcry. This is a cry of distress. You remember that we came looking for fruit. He didn't find good fruit. He found worthless fruit and he found a cry of distress. The sound of an outcry from Babylon and of great destruction. That's a great tribulation from the land of Chaldeans. For the Lord is going to destroy Babylon. He'll make her loud noise vanish from her and their waves will roar like many waters. The tumult of their voices sounds forth for the destroyers coming against her, against Babylon, and their mighty men will be captured. Their bows are shattered for the Lord is God and the recompense is He coming with His recompense. In Revelation 22, He says, He will fully repay. And I'm going to make her princes, that's the leaders, and her wise men, they're going to be drunk, they're going to walk in total spiritual darkness. Her governors are perfect, they're mighty men, that they may sleep, or perpetual sleep, and they'll not wake up. And now you're going to know who's saying all these things that we've been talking about today, declares the King, whose name is the Lord of Hosts. Verse 58, thus says the Lord of Hosts, The broad whitewashed wall of Babylon will be completely razed, and her high gates will be set on fire, so the people will toil for nothing. It's a work for the law. And the nations become exhausted only for fire. Verse 63, And it will come about as soon as you finish reading this scroll, that you just tie stone to it and throw it into the middle of the Euphrates, and say, Just so shall Babylon the harlot church sink down in the sea and the flood of destruction, and not rise again because of the calamity that I'm going to bring upon her. And they'll become exhausted. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah. And I'm going to tell you how the destruction is going to come. When the heat, and when it gets a little hotter these days, you begin looking at the flowers. You begin looking at the grass. You begin looking at the things in the garden. And you'll see everything just become brown and twisted out of shape, wither. And that's the way destruction is coming on the earth right now. It's slow, like a moth, like rottenness. And as these sons of destruction move in through this lawlessness, they begin shutting off and destroying and devouring the limbs of the body until, with sickness and disease and total destruction. And now they're having burnout seminars. And I'm not laughing. And you'll see many things like this, but always justify that you're not walking in peace. Don't repent. Just go have another meeting and get together and walk in your own councils and try to save yourself with your own strength. But don't repent. Have over 400 doctrines in this country and justify every last one of them. Be divided, confused, defeated, and growl at one another like lion cubs and bears and say, Jesus is my Lord. He is the minister. He's ministering this sin through us. Now, in the midst, Nehemiah and Ezra, during a time of distress, the temple was being built. They raised up the age-old foundation. The age-old foundation is the apostles that have written this New Testament here. And Jesus Christ is a cornerstone. And they raised up the ruins and built up the wall. And you first have your foundation on the whole counsel of God and on the rocks. And then, in this body, you begin dealing with sin, not from a way of condemnation, but from love, helping one another, loving one another, because we're all possessing the land. We're crossing Jordan. And we need each other because all of us have got the blind spots. And we're accountable to the authority of God. And you don't go in to someone, you know, a friend of mine, he wanted me to go with him to see a relative of his recently. And he said, you know, another fellow didn't quite know what he knew in the Word, but he went in there and he had been talking to this relative of his and they were very close, but they were always crossways. And he went in to this relative. And every time he'd get together, he could clearly show him where he was wrong in the Word. But see, this particular relative had that stronghold of rejection and approval that I had had. And he was looking at him when he'd come with the Word of not being understanding and loving about his condition. And he wasn't seeing how he was hurting. And he felt condemned instead of loved. And so I was there in town and he asked would I go over and see him. And immediately I recognized when it came out of his mouth what his root was and what his problem was. And I turned from him who had the problem and I turned over to the brother over there because he knew what I was doing. And then I began telling him what his life was like. I just met him. I went through everything that he was going through, all the torment. And boy, and yeah, yeah, and yeah, yeah. And I told him what he was going through. And I think, brother, that maybe you've been condemning him to the Word instead of loving him. And yeah, yeah, that's what I've been trying to tell him. And so he sat there and he was wrong, but he let himself be wrong because we're all learning. And you know, by the time I got to the end of that thing right there, in that thing, do you know that I had them both to stand up in there? They wouldn't have been able to get along for years. And because I was, for first, I dealt with why he had these problems. I showed I had him, had loved him because he had these problems. Didn't contend, telling me I have nothing. Automatically, when I understood what his problem was, he stood up there and he wanted to repent to all the people that he'd done these things to and everything. And he throwed his arms around his brother right there and repented and prayed. See, you can take the Word of God without love and you condemn people with it. You know what I mean? Because it was to be a sanctified and holy, loving vessel that's going to cure the ark of God. Is that right? And so when you stand in an atmosphere of love, see, it's totally the Spirit of God. It's not your intellect. It has to be the Spirit of God. And the Spirit of God works through love. Amen?
