Sermon Transcription
When Jesus sent out his disciples in the city, just before his ascension to heaven, he told them to go and preach the good news of the gospel all over the world. And those disciples were very faithful in presenting that gospel everywhere they went. And what that gospel was, we read, particularly in the writings of the Apostle Paul. And also the writings of Peter and John that we got in the New Testament. The Bible also says that Satan is the God of this world. And there are many things that Satan does. One of the things that Satan does is mentioned in 2 Corinthians chapter 4. 2 Corinthians chapter 4, we read that God of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4 verse 4. So, in verse 3 it says this gospel is hidden from certain people. Because Satan has blinded their eyes so that they can't see this light. Now why is it that Satan is able to blind certain people's eyes but he is not able to blind certain other people's eyes. I mean, God loves everybody. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world. And God wants everybody to be saved. He doesn't want anybody to perish. When Christ died on the cross and shed his blood, he died and he shed his blood for every single person in the whole world. He took the punishment for the sins of the whole world. That is very clear. I want you to read that verse in 1 John chapter 2. In 1 John 2 and verse 2 it says Jesus himself is the propitiation for our sins and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. That is so clear. That when Jesus died, he died for the sins of every single person born into this world from the time of Adam. And God did not want in all these years anybody to perish. He doesn't want anybody in the world to perish today. He wants everybody to be saved. But very very few are really saved. Why is that? It is like saying that all the people are dying of some sickness, the medicine is available, it is free, but they are not taking the medicine. Now if the medicine was expensive, then we can understand why some people don't take it. But when the medicine is free and you don't even have to travel any distance to get the medicine, you can get it right where you are. Then why don't people take the medicine? We don't know it is a sickness. Because like we read in the first verse, Satan has blinded their eyes. So what does he do? He blinds the eyes of people to see their real condition. No, all people will say, I am not a perfectly good man. Everybody will say that. But they will not see how serious the disease of sin is. You know, you will go to take a medicine only if you realize your sickness is very serious. Nowadays, there is this terrible disease called AIDS. There is no cure for it. People who get that disease, they have to just wait to die. And it is so bad that even the relatives push them out of the house saying, don't stay here because we also may get it from you. There is no cure for it. But supposing somebody has discovered a cure. And he is such a good man that he makes that medicine available free. Then if somebody doesn't go and take that medicine, what is the reason? If that man dies of AIDS when the medicine is available next door, why doesn't he go? There must be only one reason. He doesn't believe that he has got AIDS. He'd say, why should I take that medicine? I don't have AIDS. I am okay. And then he dies of that AIDS. That is the first thing that the devil blinds people to. Even Christians, they don't realize that sin is such a terrible sickness. I can ask all of you sitting here. We don't have to talk about other people because they are not here. I am talking to you. I want to ask you a question. How many of you can honestly say that you really believe that sin is worse than AIDS? That any sin is much worse than getting AIDS. That getting angry and losing my temper is worse than getting AIDS. That having an unforgiving, bitter spirit against somebody else is worse than having AIDS. That to doubt God is worse than getting AIDS. That to have adulterous thoughts in my mind is worse than getting AIDS. That to be unfaithful to your wife, even in your mind, is worse than getting AIDS. That to cheat other people is worse than getting AIDS. Or some more subtle sins, like pride. How many people believe that pride is worse than AIDS? Or selfishness is worse than AIDS. Or seeking to please men rather than please God, that is worse than AIDS. Or to be a miser and to keep things to myself without helping other people in need, that is worse than AIDS. That to hate anybody, even to hate your enemies, is worse than AIDS. You know, people can say they are sinners, but they don't realize how serious sin is. You know, if you got a cough and a cold, you don't think that's very serious. Or you got a little flu, you know after 2-3 days the flu will go. Many people treat sin like that. Cough and cold, after sometime it will go. If you got a cough and a cold, you are not afraid that you will die. So, you see, even among Christians, they don't believe that these sins I just mentioned are worse than AIDS. Now, why do I say these sins are worse than AIDS? Because nobody goes to hell because they get AIDS. There are many people who get AIDS and repent of their sins and accept Jesus as their savior and go to heaven. But people who live in sin, even a simple thing like not forgiving somebody, Jesus said, if you don't forgive other people, your heavenly father will not forgive you. And nobody can go to heaven without their sin forgiven. And if you don't forgive others, God won't forgive you. Then you can't go into heaven. You may not have AIDS, but you go to hell. So, people who don't have AIDS, but don't forgive somebody, go to hell. And people who have AIDS, but who have repented of their sin, go to heaven. So, nobody goes to hell because they got AIDS. But people go to hell because they sin. So, which is worse? AIDS or sin? Definitely sin. But how many believers believe that? I mean, if, for example, you went for a blood test and the doctor says, I've got some bad news for you. I'm very sorry to say, but your blood test reveals that you've got AIDS. You say, how did I get that? He asks, did you go for some injection? Maybe the needle was infected or something. You must have got it some way. Can you imagine what your state of mind will be? You'll be in a panic. Can you go home? What's happened to me now? How long will I live? And then, all over the world, nobody has found a cure for this. You'll be depressed and you won't go to work. Can you imagine what your state of mind will be? You know how your mind will be if that was the blood report. But when you sin, it doesn't affect your mind at all. You sleep peacefully and you're quite happy. How is that possible? Sin is worse than AIDS, but you sleep peacefully at night. There's one reason for that. Satan has blinded your eyes so that you don't see the seriousness of sin. Why does he not want you to see the seriousness of sin? Because he wants you to die and join him in hell. Satan is going to be in the lake of fire for eternity and he wants you to join him there for eternity. So, his first method is this, that he blinds your eyes to see the seriousness of sin. So, I hope that blindness will go from your eyes this evening. You know, that blindness of the heart is more serious than blindness of the eyes. You can be blind with your physical eyes and go to heaven, but if you're blind in your heart, you can be deceived about your condition forever. So, you can be deceived. You know, there was blind people who came to Jesus when he was on earth and Jesus asked them, what do you want me to do for you? You know, Jesus didn't just go around healing blind people everywhere. No. They came to him. He asked them, what do you want? They said, Lord, we want our eyes to be opened. He said, okay. He opened their eyes. So, there can be so many spiritually blind people sitting here. Jesus is not just going to come and open everybody's eyes. No. First of all, he'll wait to see whether you'll acknowledge that you are blind. How many of you will say, Lord, I have not seen the seriousness of sin till tonight. I mean, I knew sin was a bad thing, but I always thought it was like a cough and cold or a little fever or something like that. It's news to me today that sin is worse than AIDS. I mean, when I sin, I don't take it too seriously, just like I don't take a cough and a cold seriously. I sleep peacefully at night, even after committing sin, just like I sleep peacefully at night if I got a cough and a cold. I won't sleep peacefully at night if I got a blood report today that I had AIDS. Lord, I am blind. I see today that I am blind and the devil has blinded me. Please open my eyes, Lord Jesus. He'll do it. He will do exactly the same for you that he did for all those blind people on earth. And one man, his eyes were opened a little bit after Jesus touched him. He said, can you see properly? He said, no, I don't see any difference between men and trees. They all look alike. You know that if a man thinks that a man is a tree, his eyesight is bad. Lord said, okay, then you need to be touched again. And he touched him again. He said, yeah, now I can see. That is a man and that is a tree. So, sometimes we need the Lord to touch us again. How to find out? The Lord says, can you see now how serious sin is? Yeah, Lord, one or two sins I see quite seriously. Some of the other sins, I don't think it's so serious. Then the Lord says, I have to touch you again. But you know, it's very important to be honest. I'll tell you something. Supposing one blind man had said, Lord, I'm okay, I'm all right. Lord will say, okay, go home. Who are the ones whom Jesus healed? The one who said, Lord, I'm not all right, I'm blind. He's opened my eyes. And you can sit here this evening. Yeah, yeah, you say, I'm a Christian, I've been in the church for so long. I'm all right, I can see. Lord will say, okay, go home at the end of the meeting. You won't get anything from the Lord. But some other person here who is needy, who hears the word, and the word speaks to them. They say, hey, that's true. I've not seen the seriousness of sin. How is it I've not seen the seriousness of sin for so many years? It must be because I'm blind. And I thought I could see. Then you come to Jesus and say, Lord, I'm really blind. Lord says, what do you want? Lord, help me to see the seriousness of sin. How many of you believe that speaking of evil of others behind their back is a sin? Many of you do it. You sit all the time and talk about other people in your home. You don't feel it's a sin. It's a cough and a cold like that. It happens. Even sometimes, not even like a cough and a cold. A cough and a cold, you may take some medicine. For some people, sin is like sneezing. Oh, I sneeze. It's not serious. Oh, I backbite against somebody. It's okay. How sad it is that people can take sin so lightly. Who did that? The devil has done a tremendous work of blinding our eyes to the seriousness of sin. I believe that is the first blindness that we need to have our eyes open to. That sin is not even like a cough and a cold. It's not like fever. It's not like sneezing. No. It is worse than AIDS. And if you have seen it like that, then you can say your eyes are open. If you see a little bit only, you pray, Lord, touch me again. I don't see it serious enough. Our eyes must be wide open. Now I see how serious it is. See, little children also, they may not be blind, but they also don't realize the seriousness of some things. You know how children play with blades? And they are small, six months. You know, if a six-month-old baby sees a snake, cobra, it will try to go and play with the cobra. They are not blind, but they don't have any sense. And that is how some believers are also. Okay, they say, I am born again. My eyes are open. Okay, maybe your eyes are open, but you are foolish like a child. Maybe you are born again. But you are playing around with cobras and you don't even know how serious it is. You don't know how serious sin is. I mean, if suddenly a cobra came out from under your chair right now, what would you do? Oh, okay, play around with it. You wouldn't do it. You'll jump out and run out. You wouldn't care what I thought about you running out. You'll run out. Because you know that's dangerous. But six-month-old child, it won't run out. Look at the color. Mummy, so nice color it has got. It's not blind, but it's a child. How many of you believe that any sin is worse than a cobra? Then you are not blind and you are not a child also. So there are many reasons why many people don't give up sin. You know, everywhere I go, I've met so many people who say, Brother Jack, I'm defeated by sin. I'm defeated by sin. When I say, you know, one of the main things you need to see, first of all, is how serious sin is. You know, I've heard sometimes of some serious sicknesses that people have in Bangalore. Not in our church, but I've heard of other people. And then the doctor says, for this child that needs some very expensive injection. And that is not available anywhere here in Bangalore. And their father loves that child so much. Makes inquiries all over the country. Somewhere in England it is available. So much money it costs. They send a telegram, get it across, or telephone and get it across. And pay so much money, lakhs of rupees sometimes. Because they see that with that this child can be cured. We can say that such a father has really seen the seriousness of that sickness. He doesn't sleep that night till he gets the medicine from somewhere in the world. You know, if we had sought for victory over sin like that, all of you would be overcoming sin in your life. You know why you haven't overcome? Because that father knew more about the seriousness of that child's sickness than you have seen the seriousness of sin. You know how delighted that father will be when he gets a telephone from the medical shop, the medicine has arrived in Bangalore. Oh, he is so happy, at last my child can be saved. Oh, he is so happy, at last my child can be saved. Why does he consider that good news? Because he sees how serious the sickness is. You know, nowadays we hear the preaching of the gospel, Christ died for our sins. That has become such common news, that people think even what comes in the newspaper is more interesting than that. That the election result is more interesting than Christ died for our sins. It is true. There are many people who read the newspaper, who don't read the Bible. Aren't some of you sitting here like that? You read the newspaper every day. You read the Bible every day? No, because newspaper is more interesting than the Bible. Why? Because it has become such stale news to you. It is not good news of the gospel. It is not like that father hearing the medicine has come, finally to heal your child. He is more interested in that news than the newspaper election result. Why? Because he knows the seriousness of that disease. So, the first prayer you need to pray is that God will open your eyes to see the seriousness of sin. Sin is so serious, that there was no way for it to be cured. Except God coming as a man and dying. There was no other way. Imagine, almighty God could not find an easier way than that. You think God was happy to see Jesus suffer so much and die like that? No, nobody would be happy with that. Then why did he allow him to suffer? Because God knew that there is no other way for man to be saved from his sin. That shows how serious sin is. So, that is the first thing you need to see. The second thing the devil blinds people to is how easy it is for their sin to be forgiven. Many people think forgiveness of sins must be a very difficult, complicated process. All over the world people are doing so many things to get forgiveness of sins. We know that some people roll on the ground. Some people go on long pilgrimages to different places. And some people go and give a lot of money in different churches and temples and all those places. Why are they doing all this? They want God to forgive their sin. There are many people who burn candles and ask priests to please pray for the forgiveness of their sin and to give the priest money. And they give money to the church for prayer that their sins will be forgiven. Or they stand before some statue and light a candle so their sins will be forgiven. So many ways people are seeking to get their sins forgiven. Or some people think if I give a lot of money to poor beggars then all my sins will be forgiven. But the trouble with all these things is you are never sure whether you have done enough to get your sins forgiven. How will I know whether I have done enough? Whatever I may do, supposing I have given one lakh to poor people and beggars, devil says one lakh is not enough. What to do now? Ok, I will give some more. And all your life you are not sure. Have I done enough good works to please God? Have I burnt enough candles? Have I gone on enough pilgrimages? What a terrible bondage it is for so many people. Never sure. Even people who hear that Jesus died for your sins, receive that forgiveness. They ask, Lord please come into my heart, forgive me. Not sure. Has he come? Don't know. Not sure. So next meeting, again we pray. And the devil blinds us and blinds us to how easy it is to have our sins forgiven. So that's the second area where our blindness has to be removed. You see, how can my sins be forgiven? I always say this, a good doctor is not one who just tells you what your sickness is, but tells you how it can be cured also. Supposing I go to a doctor, and he scans and examines me and says you got all these sicknesses. Ok, give me my prescription, please go home. Doesn't tell me how it can be cured. He has taken his consultation fee, gives me no prescription. He's not a good doctor. I'll never go to him again. I want to go to a doctor who can tell me how I can be cured, not to somebody who tells me what my sickness is. So, I don't want to listen to preaching that just tells me how bad I am. You know, some preachers are like that. You listen to them, they'll only tell you how bad you are. This is your sin, that is your sin, this is your sin, this is your sin, and it's all correct also. But how to be cured from it? I don't have time to tell you all that. Don't go and listen to such preachers. You need someone who will tell you how this problem can be solved. First thing is, how can my sin be forgiven? You need to say, Lord, open my eyes to see it. I'm blind. I don't know how my sin, I acknowledge I'm a sinner. But how to be forgiven? To forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. He is faithful, it says in this verse. He is faithful. That means He will keep His word. You know, human beings don't keep their word. That's why when something serious like transferring a house property or something, you have to sign on a stamp paper worth 50,000 rupees or something like that. Why so much money? Because you can't trust this fellow's word. Nobody will buy a house property just on a piece of paper. One fellow signs, okay, I've given you the house. No, no, no, I can't accept that. Go to the registrar's court, you pay the stamp duty, sign before them, get witnesses and all that, then I'll accept it. Because people are not faithful. Their word means nothing. That is why even marriage, they say, oh, register and sign and witnesses. Even marriage also, you can't trust people. Even if two people say they love each other, love or whatever it is, you sign here and get the witnesses, then only you're married. Because people can't be trusted. That is the world we live in. And since we are surrounded by people who don't keep their word, worse, we ourselves are like that. We think God also must be like that. We don't know whether he'll keep his word or not. But it says here, he is faithful. The Bible says, let God be true, even if every man is a liar. Let God be true. And let every man be a liar. Even if every man is a liar, God is true. And what does it say here? What is our part? Confess our sin. What is his part? Forgive us. So I ask people, have you gone to Jesus? Have you said, Lord, I'm a sinner? Have you asked him to forgive you? Oh, yes, we did that. And God didn't do his part? Then God is a liar. You are the faithful man. And you got an unfaithful God up in heaven. Then they realize how serious it is not to believe in God. You know, if you have really turned from your sins, and you said, Lord, I'm sorry. Please forgive me. God will forgive you immediately. And it says here that he'll cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That's how it is. He is faithful. He'll forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. You don't have to worry about it. You can be absolutely sure before you get up from your seat. If you have done your part. You know, it's like an agreement. You do your part, I'll do my part. It's like somebody sells a house. You give me one lakh, I'll give you the house. And we sign the agreement. And they got it. It's finished. That's the end of the matter. But if you don't do your part, then of course he can't do his part. In the same way here, if you are faithful to forgive, if you are faithful to confess your sins, he is faithful to forgive you. Immediately. Completely. Totally. It's simple faith. If you have done your part, you can be absolutely sure that Jesus will do his part. Anybody, it doesn't matter what religion you are, what denomination you are. It's important to be absolutely sure that your sin is all forgiven. You should not be 99% sure, 100% sure. It's like if one doctor says, yeah, I'm 99% sure that you are free from AIDS. Will you sleep peacefully at night? I won't sleep peacefully. I'll say 99% is not enough for me. In mathematics and all, 99% is enough, but not in this matter. Here I'm 100%, you must assure me I'm free from all sickness. So you must be 100% sure that your sins are forgiven. You must be able to look straight up to heaven and say, I know my sins are all forgiven. I know that Jesus died for my sins and he has taken all the punishment for my sins. Even though I'm a terrible sinner, all of it has been cleansed and blotted away in the blood of Jesus Christ. And it is just as if I've never sinned before. You know the Bible says, we have forgiveness of sins through the blood of Jesus Christ. Here it says in 1 John 1.7, the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. You know the difference between cleansing and covering? In the Old Testament, sin was not cleansed. It was covered. You know, it's like if I take all your sins and put it under the sheet here, it's covered. Yeah, it's all covered, nobody can see it. But you're always afraid whether somebody will pull up the sheet sometime. That's how it was in the Old Testament. Okay, my God says, you sinned, just bring a bull or a goat or something, we'll cover it all up. But the Bible says every year they were reminded. But when Jesus died, it's not covered. Cleansed. It's removed, it's gone, it's not under the sheet, it's nowhere, it's gone. Cleansed in the blood of Jesus Christ. Not covered and hidden. See all your sins are written on a blackboard here. You put a sheet over it, nobody can see it. But if you take a wet cloth and wipe it all out, then you're happy. Nobody can know anything about my past life now. Isn't that wonderful? Haven't you all done some terrible, terrible things which you don't want anybody to know about? Even you young people have done some terrible things which you don't want your mummy and daddy to know about. Isn't it good to tell Jesus, Lord, I'm a sinner and to have the whole board wiped out? Nobody can ever discover it. It's finished, gone. That's what the blood of Jesus does for you. And then the Bible says that God justifies us. You know what that means? After cleansing us, He puts the righteousness of Christ over us. Because you know, it's not enough for our sin to be forgiven to stand before God. Ok, let me ask you a question. In your school, in any subject, what was the lowest mark you could get? In your school, in any subject, what was the lowest mark you could get? How much? Zero. That's the lowest. You can't get lower than that. But in our relationship with God, you can get below zero also. You know, it's like the teacher saying, every time you do something wrong, I'll give you a minus mark. So, by the time your final exam comes, you get zero in the paper, but you already got minus hundred for all the stupid things you did during the term. And your marks is minus hundred. Minus hundred. So, ok, this is where we start. Just an example. Now, God's standard pass marks in God's class, pass marks in school and all is about 35%, 40%. But pass marks for God is 100%. Now, how can a man who's got minus hundred get 100%? That is impossible. So, first of all, God has to cleanse our sin. Then what happens? We come from minus hundred to zero. That's wonderful. Minus hundred to zero is great. But still, I've got a long way to go to reach 100%. So, you know what God does? He says, Jesus got 100%, so I'll give you those marks. This is wonderful. All of a sudden, I've come from minus hundred to 100%. So, you see the difference between being forgiven and being justified. Forgiven is minus hundred to zero. Justified is zero to plus hundred. And now I can stand before God without any fear. And the angels ask me, how much did you get? I say, 100%. 100%? You must be a fantastic man. I am a fantastic man. You got the same marks as Jesus? Yeah, same marks. Marksheep, signed by God, 100%. Do you believe that? I believe it. Why do I believe it? Because I believe the Bible. That the righteousness of Christ has been put to my account. The devil has blinded many people to this truth. I'm always feeling guilty. Can I stand before God? Is he angry with me? I'm so weak. I've done so many terrible things in my past life. But I stay far away from God. Let me ask you a question. Can Jesus stand before his father? With boldness and with a smile? Yes or no? Yes. Can I stand before God with the same smile and with the same boldness? Yes. How? Because the righteousness of Christ has been put to my account. The devil has blinded your minds to this. Ask God to open your eyes today. And you will be a bold Christian. You will come to God as a son and a daughter. And say, Lord, I'm your daughter. I'm your son. Do this for me. You know how my children can come to me more than all the children on the roadside can come? They can come and ask me, Dad, give me a chocolate, give me this, give me that. Those children on the roadside can't do that. Like that with God also. I can go to God and say, God, I'm not a stranger. I'm your child. I can ask you for certain things. Boldness. Boldness comes when we know we are forgiven and justified. Have you understood that? Forgiveness is minus hundred to zero. And justified is zero to plus hundred. Now, never forget that. Or, since we all love money, I'll give you an illustration from money. I think that you'll remember better than Marx. Let's say when you're a sinner, you're in debt to about hundred crores. Now, many of you may know debt of hundred rupees or two hundred rupees, but do you know how much hundred crores is? Hundred crores. I said, Lord, my whole life I will not be able to clear this debt. And God says, don't worry. Jesus goes and pays that hundred crores. He has a receipt. Received hundred crores. I'm so happy now. What is my bank account? Zero. How a man with zero in his bank account can be so happy? Have you ever seen a man with zero in his bank account who is so happy? Why is he happy? Because he had hundred crores debt and that is all forgiven. That is forgiveness. Now, do you know what being justified is? God says, I just out of love for you, I'd like to put hundred crores extra in your account also. I said, this is amazing. One day I'm minus hundred crores in debt and all of a sudden I've become a millionaire with hundred crores in my account. Have you understood that? Forgiveness is your hundred crores paid. Justification is another hundred crores put into your account. The righteousness of Christ put to our account. And we are rich. The third thing. What is the first thing? We must see the seriousness of sin. Second, how God accepts us through forgiveness and justification. Then, the third thing the devil blinds people's eyes is how to get victory over all these sinful habits in my daily life. The devil says, okay, you've seen the seriousness of sin. You're forgiven. You're justified. Just praise the Lord now and keep quiet. That's all. Victory and all is not for you. Just be satisfied that you got hundred crores in your account. Just sit quietly. But you'll never get victory. That's a lie. That's a lie. The blessing of God is so wonderful. The gospel is so wonderful that I not only can be forgiven, I not only can be justified, but I can be an overcomer in my life. Because God now gives me something more wonderful. What has he given me? Forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ. The righteousness of Christ put to my account. I say, Lord, that itself is so much. Thank you so much. All my life I should be grateful to you. But God says, wait, wait, wait. You haven't opened the package fully. There's one more gift in here. Don't throw the package in the garbage. There's one more here. What is this? This is the power of his Holy Spirit. Wonderful. The mighty power of God. The same power with which he created the world. The same power with which he raised Jesus from the dead. The mighty power of the Holy Spirit with which he healed the sick. That power is going to come inside me and make me an overcomer. The devil blinds our eyes. Those two things are enough. There's nothing more. Don't look. Go to Jesus and say, Lord, I'm blind. I don't see what this mighty power of the Holy Spirit can do. The devil says, no, sin is mighty. Like the Israelites saw the giants in Canaan. What we read in the Bible, Joshua and Caleb saw God. God was much bigger than those giants. That's what the devil blinds us to. The power of the Holy Spirit is more than the power of any sin in your life. The devil blinds you to that fact. But it's true. Whatever sin you're defeated by, the mighty power of the Holy Spirit is much more powerful than that sin. Believe it today. Believe it. Lord, open my eyes. I can see the mighty power of the Holy Spirit mightier than this sin I'm being defeated by. Do you want God to open your eyes today? Just bow your heads in prayer. Just bow your heads and close your eyes. Do you know what you need to say first of all? Lord, I'm blind and I don't even know it. But I want you, Lord Jesus, to open my eyes. Help me to see the seriousness of sin. Help me to see how I can be forgiven completely right now if I confess my sin. If you ask Jesus to come into my heart, tell the Lord, Lord, I'm a sinner. No amount of good works will save me. Lord Jesus, you died for me. You rose again. Come into my heart. Forgive me. Clothe me with your righteousness. I believe. I'm justified. I'm accepted by God, my Father. And now Lord, fill me with the power of your Holy Spirit. I open my whole heart to you. Pour out your Spirit upon me. Fill me with your mighty power so that I can overcome every bad habit in my life. Lord, I believe you. Open my eyes to see your mighty forgiveness and your mighty power. See the full Gospel. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for hearing me. Thank you for forgiving my sins. Thank you for justifying me. Thank you for hearing my prayer. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Make my life different from today. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen.
