My Joy, My Peace and My Victory - Part 3
Bakht Singh

Bakht Singh Chabra (1903 - 2000). Indian evangelist, church planter, and Bible teacher born in Joiya, Punjab (now Pakistan), to a devout Sikh family. Educated at Punjab University, he studied agricultural engineering in England (1926-1928) and Canada (1929-1932), embracing a Western lifestyle, including smoking and drinking, while rejecting his Sikh roots by shaving his hair. Initially hostile to Christianity—once tearing a Bible apart—he converted in 1929 in Winnipeg after reading the New Testament, influenced by Christian friends John and Edith Hayward. Returning to India in 1933, he began preaching as an Anglican evangelist, later becoming independent, sparking the 1937 Martinpur revival, a pivotal movement in Indian Christianity. In 1941, after a night of prayer in Chennai, he founded Hebron Ministries, establishing over 10,000 indigenous churches modeled on New Testament principles across India and South Asia. Singh authored books like How I Got Joy Unspeakable and Full of Glory and held annual “Holy Convocations” in Madras, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Kalimpong, drawing thousands. Married to Rama Bai at age 12 in 1915, little is recorded of their personal life. His contextualized gospel, blending Indian spirituality with biblical truth, earned him the title “Elijah of the 21st Century” in Indian Christendom. Singh’s words, “I have never asked any man for anything, but the Lord is richly supplying all my needs,” reflect his faith-driven ministry. Despite Parkinson’s disease in his final decade, his legacy endures through Hebron’s global network and writings, praised by figures like Ravi Zacharias.

Harshadrayohanaswatapadhihinamahchyayam Santyohanarathisutmacharahuskaapandaramaadhyaya Sinjal Gasuj, chapter 15, Ramdevak 1 Harshadrayohanaswatapadhihinamahchyayamatunadi Santyohanarathisutmacharahuskaapandaramaadhyaya Ahiramratuhvahayam We have a living God, few to us, this few verses from his words. Maharajyuta Parameshwar apne sastra ke kuch padon ke dwara se ham se baatein kare. Shudreya Yohan Swartha Padheyana Vadyayana Sant Yohannarathi Sushumachar, pandarama adhiyaya and verse eleven pada kunda vachanam aur gyaarama pad These things have I spoken unto you that my joy might mend you and that your joy might be full. Me yanduna santoshamu ondavalaniyu, me santosham paripunamu kaavalaniyu, ye sangatalu mito cheputunanu. Maine ye baate tumse isle kahin hain, mera anand tumhe bana rahe, aur tumhara anand poora ho jaye. So you are here on Monday evening by the web bar, where I mention about these three chapters in Jan Ghastu. Somvaar ke saam ki yahaan par jo log the, unko smaran hoga, Yohanna ke tin samachar ke vishan mein maine aapko kya bataaya tha. Those of you who are sitting here, go outside, stay outside, again don't come inside. Aapmese jo yahaan par baate huen hain, aur utkar jaate hain, tatra paataar phir wapas na. Please don't disturb us anymore. If you have to go outside, then stay outside, and don't come again. Carry with your samaan, and stay wherever you are. Don't come back. Yohko samaan samagriya hain, leke jaana chale jaaye, phir mat aaye. Otherwise you could be wasting our time also. To aap hamare samay ko bhi, aap chura rahe hain. Sant yona samachar, pandra adhiyai, yara pad. These things I have asked of you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be fulfilled. I have asked these things of you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be fulfilled. I will mention how these three chapters, John 14 to 16, contain the last message, which our Lord gave to His disciples, before He was crucified. Nain aap se bataye tha, yeh chauda adhiyai, yohanna se sola adhiyai, tak teen adhiyai, isse pehle Masih Kroos po tadaaye gaye, unhone sandesha ko diya tha. And that's why every word, in these three chapters, is full of deep meaning. Aad isi liye, har pad is adhiyai ke, in teeno adhiyai ke andar mein, har pad jo hai, bahut gehra arth rakta hai. You get much inspiration, as you go through these chapters, again and again. Jitna jaada, isko aap padte chale jaayenge, utna jaada, aapko prasthan milta jaayega. As I asked of how, this basic, in these three chapters, can be summed up, by these three short fragments. Teen adhiyai ko, teen sote se shabdon mein, sarans mein, hum isko bata sakte, maine bataya tha. In John 14, 27, our last piece of my piece, Yohan swat patnalugu hirviyelo, prabhu na samadhanamani chettunadhi. Yohanna samachar, chavda adhiyai, sattayit pad mein, brahmansi karte hain, meri shanti. Then in John 15, 11, he is saying, my joy. Yohan swat padhehenu padakunlo, na santosham antinadhi. Sir Yohanna 15, aur uske 11 mein, brahmansi karte hain, mera anand. And John 16, 33, he speaks of my victory. Yohann swat padhehenu padakunlo, na santosham antinadhi. Aur Yohanna samachar, 16, 33 mein, mare prabhu, apni vijay, jai krishan bolte hain. And by these three words, the Christian life, can be summed up. Kanak yi mudha matra vanna, kristam jivitani, sluptam ga chippo chunu. Aur in teeno shabdon ke dwara se, mati jeevan jo hai, usko ham sarans me bata sakte hain. Peace, joy and victory. Samadhanamu, santoshamu, vijayamu. Shanti, anand, aur jai. And we spend some time, on the meaning of true peace, which we have in Lord Jesus Christ. Mano prabheni, esu kristalo, mano kalye, nizhmen samadhanami samay, pranta samyam gatipinam. Aur Prabhu Yasya Masih me jo, satchi shanti hume milti hai, ut ke vise me, hume samay me, kuch samay vichar kar chuke hain. It's called on Monday evening. Saumavaram, saayam karam chuthiyam. Saumavaram, sandhya ke samay, humne iske vise me dekha tha. And it's a wonderful experience to have that peace. Aa samadhanam karivinte, yanto, adbhut karameen, anubhuvahum hindi. Aur aisi shanti ka anubhav karna, ye adbhut baat hai. If you haven't got that peace, we pray, the Lord may give you that peace in these days. Mari aa samadhanik, inka dhara kuna, panna kuna honte, i dinamun lo, devar dhananik, daithyamani praadhan chasthi naam. Aur, yadi shanti aapko nahi mili hai, amari praatna parameshwar te hai, se indiro me parameshwar, aapko apni shanti de. The peace of the Lord is himself. Aa samadhanam, mana prabhu in yes peeste, wo shanti, hamare prabhu yasmasi, swayam hai. He said, peace I leave with you, my peace, I give unto you. Shanti me, shanti me, Naa shanti me, shanti me, They say, I am giving you peace, I give you my peace. The very same word is said, when he appeared to disciples, after election. Kundanam tarvata. Sishlok pratiksam, antipuruh, yade mata, ayo peginti nata. And after being victorious, from this very word, the priest meets his disciples. Peace be unto you. Samadhanam ik, kalgunga kaha, may you find peace. We find the very same word, are being repeated again and again in every episode. Sati Patra Vidura Hideya Maha Saraswati Triki Triki Saraswati Aur inhi shardon ko har patri ke andar mein baar baar duraagya ham paate hain. If the disciples were in such a situation What about you? What kind of joy are you having? And you find in many cases Their joy is not full Not complete, not real Then first Peter chapter 1 And verse 8 Peter called that Joy unspeakable And full of glory That God can't explain Even though you may become A very good speaker, very good preacher Very good singer That God can't explain This joy unspeakable We require heavenly language For it It is full of glory It is limitless From this earth into heaven itself Let me see Romans chapter 14 And verse 17 The kingdom of God is not in meat and drink But righteousness and peace And joy in the Holy Ghost The kingdom of God is not in meat and drink But righteousness and peace And joy in the Holy Ghost This joy is not depending upon Our eating and drinking This joy is not dependent On our eating and drinking Most of the joy of the earth Depends upon eating and drinking And that's why you find Many wives make a mistake They try to win love In the husband by eating and drinking They try to win love In the husband by eating and drinking In the beginning of a married life In the beginning of a married life They spend many many hours Thinking, scheming, planning What to cook, what to cook What to give, what to serve They keep thinking What to cook, what to feed What to cook, what to feed They find out whether he wants Idli or Dosa or Upma Or something else And yet they are not satisfied Don't add You find again They are again disappointed They are again disappointed This joy is another disorder The joy which is created By eating and drinking Can last for a short time The joy which is created By eating and drinking Can last for a short time Even though you may try to do everything With every good intention But you find that joy won't last very long May I have a book please? And chapter three Chapter three And verse seventeen And eighteen May I be blessed in the Lord And joy in the God of my salvation There are some people They are not so fond of eating and drinking But they are fond of their property And their possessions Now they go on saving money With that object They have plenty of land Or building of property Or some kind of possession They have plenty of land Or building of property Or cattle or sheep Whatever they like to possess Gold or silver or diamond or jewel Whether it is gold or silver Whether it is night or day Or any other precious thing Whatever it is It will give you true happiness Even though you may be able to possess All that you ever long to possess You may be able to possess All that you ever long to possess If you go to Denmark You won't see any poor man there Everybody is prosperous Nobody is unemployed Everybody has a job There is no one without a job Everybody has a job They have sanatoriums But there are no patients In India You have many long waiting For many many months There is no sanatorium But there are no patients There is no sanatorium But there are no patients They have skills and prosperity Yet they have the largest number of suicides In the whole world Every day you find young people Old people commit suicide Everyday. Does it happen everywhere? Because it is depending upon their possession for happiness, doubtless about it. But here, Mother of God says, even though he may lose everything that he ever possessed, yet, he will rejoice in the Lord. And that's true. There's a joy not depending upon the land and the building and the property. Or in any kind of wealth or possession. Have you found that joy? It's for such a purpose the Lord Jesus Christ came into the world. And so lovingly he's offering that joy unto all people in every part of the world. That is Philippians chapter 4, and verse 4. Philippians 4.4 Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice. Rejoice for always. Then the first Thessalonians, 10th to 5th verse 16th. Rejoice evermore. That joy will not go away. Good health or ill health. Whether you are among friends or among enemies. Whether you are in your own home or away from home. There are many people, they get homesick. They get homesick. They get tears in their eyes. They lose their appetite, lose their sleep, lose everything. They look very, very miserable. They go on sighing and sighing and sighing day and night. They sing in their jar department only home, but this life is not like that. In home or away from home, among enemies or among friends, with job or no job, single or married, married or not, boy or girl, joy is there. That joy is not depending on anything. Joy is evermore. Now the God of hope fills you with all joy. And peace is believing. The God of hope fills you with all joy. Joy will keep you full of good hope always. See, that's why our Lord was saying this to His disciples also. Because they were feeling so sad, feeling so discouraged, and He told them now, My disciples, time has come, I must suffer. And we mocked, we reviled, we spat upon, then killed for your sake. When our Lord said to His disciples, time has come, I will be caught by sinners, I will be mocked, and I will be spat upon, then the disciples were very sad. They couldn't understand. Why should their Lord with so much power, so much authority, should suffer like this? He said, these things have asked to be done to you. He said, these things are His suffering and dying. He said, these things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. That my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. That's why He suffered, for you and me. That's why He suffered, for you and me. He did not suffer to get you to suffer. He did not suffer to get you to suffer. But He suffered and died. But He suffered and died. The way you are, you may have the same joy as you think. The way you are, you may have the same joy as you think. Have you found that joy? Have you found that joy? Can people see from your face, that joy? Can people see from your face, that joy? But in many cases, you feel like crying, passing your face. But in many cases, you feel like crying, passing your face. No joy on their face. This joy will give you a shining face. The joy will increase and multiply day by day. And you see, I am 13. And we were 52. And the disciples were filled with joy and holy good. They are all going to extreme suffering. The Jews stood up the devout, honourable women and the team in the city, laid prosecution against Paul Barnabas, expelled them from their court, shook off the dust of their feet, again dumped him back to O'Neill and stabbed Phil with a jawed hornicle. He is very precious to me. I have purchased him by my blood. He is my precious artefact. Enjoy! Anand Karo! Enjoy and the God will give you your honey! No power can take it away. No mother-in-law can take it away. No mother-in-law can take it away. However cruel she may be, she can't take that away from you. But many people have the answer to mother-in-law. I say, follow only after mother-in-law. Some people have lost their happiness in their mother-in-law. Then don't use your joy. Joy is no man's taken from you. When did you repent? How did you repent? What happened when you repented? Is it your whole heart you repented? Are you still hankering after sinful and shameful things? That's why your jaw is not full. Your repentance is wrong. You did not do properly. You are tired of seeing his face both ways. Some people are like that. They can be good everywhere. When they go for worship, they are very good there also. When they go in the world, they are equally happy there also. Where ever they go, they are very happy. They are blind and deaf spiritually. They are the agents of devil. Please make sure you have repented truly and sincerely. Make sure you have repented truly and sincerely. Then secondly, Look at chapter 17. Read responsibly. This chapter was sent by Lord Yesai. 17 in number. They went two by two. They came back to Jhansi. Because they saw many miracles. Lord, see what bad things happened in their name. Lord, see what great miracles happened in their name. But our Lord is saying in this verse, You must not think that you are seeing the spirit speaking in front of you. Do not rejoice that your name is in heaven. This is a true joy. The assurance that my Lord has my name in heaven, gives me joy. This is a true joy. And the assurance that my sins are gone. They are covered. They are buried. Never to be again remembered. They are moved as far east from the west. Now my name is in heaven. When you go to heaven, You are going to be welcomed by your own name. Whosoever you meet in heaven, they will know you by your name also. Whosoever you meet in heaven, they will know you by your name also. I have seen you somewhere. I can not remember where. Other man says, You have soon forgotten me. Last year you came to my house, you had tea, everything there also. Last year you came to my house, you had tea, everything there also. I gave you so many things. Now I know. Death out of memory. But in heaven, Whosoever you are, Any place, Any place, You will be greeted and welcomed by your own name with great honor. It is at your repentance, your name was declared by the Lord himself in heaven. Lord said that. My dear angels, Suvarnava of Guntur has repented. Remember. Do not look at the false teeth. He is really precious. They remember him. They will remember him in heaven. They can not forget that. They all know your name in heaven. And that gives joy. Even though upon the earth very few know me. But heaven all know you. Because you were purchased by the blood. And you are the peculiar treasure of loving mighty God. And you are the prized possession of the Lord. That is why you must make sure That your sins are forgiven. And no man can forgive him. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can. And he can not forgive unless you ask for it. As he is saying, ask and ye shall receive. As he said, ask and ye shall receive. Asking is not for earthly things. For heavenly things. Now tell me, When did you ask the Lord to forgive you? What did he say? What happened to you? Did he say, my son, my daughter, Forgive me, forgive me. Did he say, hey my son, hey my daughter, Your sins are forgiven. Did you feel joy listening to this? In the year 1919. In the month of December. On the 16th. On that day. These words came to me. These words came to me. My son, your sins are forgiven. My son, your sins are forgiven. That was my happiest moment. That was my happiest moment. My sins, so black, So horrible, So shameful, As forgiveness like this. I believed it. Again joy filled my soul. Even though I never knew what Bible is. Even though I never knew what Bible is. I knew one thing, my sins are gone. I knew one thing, my sins are gone. Gone forever. And Lord Jesus himself told me. As he forgiven your sins. And when? And what happened when he forgave you? Did you find your soul full of thanksgiving? Did you find your whole being full of gratitude? Did you find your whole being full of gratitude? There ought to be a real reaction in your soul. There ought to be a real reaction in your soul. When somebody may pay you a debt of fifty rupees, When somebody may pay you a debt of fifty rupees, Sir, you gave me fifty rupees in return. Sir, you gave me fifty rupees in return. And he took upon himself that debt. Did you thank him sufficiently, adequately? Did you thank him sufficiently, adequately? Otherwise that guy won't come to you. Otherwise that guy won't come to you. Then Psalm 16, Then Psalm 16, Psalm 11, Psalm 16, 11, You will show me the path of life, You will show me the path of life, In Thy Presence, Lydia Jaya comes with that consciousness. By Lord, my Lord is with me. As you find these words coming again and again to you, behold, I am with you. Fear not, I am with thee. I'll hold thee. I'll go with thee. It is that consciousness of His Presence that gives joy. Not your knowledge, but that consciousness. Not your knowledge, but that consciousness. As I was saying last evening, He is a living saviour. Behold, I am alive forevermore. Behold, I am alive forevermore. Do you feel His Presence? Has He come to you? Go ahead, please. First Thessalonians, second chapter, verse 19, what is our hope, our joy, Guruji, are not even ye in the Presence of the Lord, yet is coming. Ye are our glory and joy. Ye are our joy. What is He saying to those who are saved through His Presence? Others are saved through you, you find their joy coming in. When your neighbours or your strangers or relations find the same joy through you, every time I feel, I find somebody receiving the same joy, it gives me joy. Some weeks ago, while travelling in Yugoslavia, I was going in a train from Nizagarene. I saw a man in front of me, very tall man. I began to pray. Lord, give me the privilege to speak to that man about his soul. Then I spoke to him. I stood without the train before the communist was born again. And the whole train came to me like heaven. The whole train came to me like heaven. But a joy it was. Just somebody has found the joy of salvation. Ye are the ones who are saved through you. It is a peculiar joy. Nobody in your family, neighbourhood, school, anywhere has found the same joy through you. Real joy must be shared. You long for everybody who comes in touch with you to have the same joy. Finally, shivarikam. I delight in Thy will, O my God, yea, Thy law is within my heart. In my finding and doing God's will, we receive that joy. It may take us many days sometimes to find God's will. But whenever you find God's will, you find a peculiar joy in accepting it and doing God's will. In your joy of that nature, is your joy unspeakable, full of glory? Is your joy full of joy? Do you find a heavenly song in your lips all the time? Even though I cannot sing a single note outwardly, but I can sing in my soul all day. I find some song all the time. I find a heavenly song in my heart. Oh, be sure you have found that joy. This evening we offer that joy to you. Whosoever you are, right now, this very moment, that joy can be your joy. Because the Lord loves all of us equally. Only He can give that joy. It does not depend upon the preachers and the teachers and other people. The Lord Himself can humble ourselves and call upon Him. The same way He forgives us. It is the Lord and the sinner. You may say, I am a sinner, Lord. Please forgive me. And He says, yes, my daughter, yes, my child, thy sin be forgiven. Go and sin no more. I have paid full price for your sin. Lord, let me be your life and your strength. Such experience will give the joy to you. Ask for it. And receive it. Now go to pray. And Godly, be very patient till we are fully finished. And don't move. We are thankful to you. Unto Him, able to keep us from falling, and present us Godless, pervasive glory, giving joy to the only, like our Savior, the Lord in glory, meaning power, both now and forevermore.
