Bakht Singh Chabra (1903 - 2000). Indian evangelist, church planter, and Bible teacher born in Joiya, Punjab (now Pakistan), to a devout Sikh family. Educated at Punjab University, he studied agricultural engineering in England (1926-1928) and Canada (1929-1932), embracing a Western lifestyle, including smoking and drinking, while rejecting his Sikh roots by shaving his hair. Initially hostile to Christianity—once tearing a Bible apart—he converted in 1929 in Winnipeg after reading the New Testament, influenced by Christian friends John and Edith Hayward. Returning to India in 1933, he began preaching as an Anglican evangelist, later becoming independent, sparking the 1937 Martinpur revival, a pivotal movement in Indian Christianity. In 1941, after a night of prayer in Chennai, he founded Hebron Ministries, establishing over 10,000 indigenous churches modeled on New Testament principles across India and South Asia. Singh authored books like How I Got Joy Unspeakable and Full of Glory and held annual “Holy Convocations” in Madras, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Kalimpong, drawing thousands. Married to Rama Bai at age 12 in 1915, little is recorded of their personal life. His contextualized gospel, blending Indian spirituality with biblical truth, earned him the title “Elijah of the 21st Century” in Indian Christendom. Singh’s words, “I have never asked any man for anything, but the Lord is richly supplying all my needs,” reflect his faith-driven ministry. Despite Parkinson’s disease in his final decade, his legacy endures through Hebron’s global network and writings, praised by figures like Ravi Zacharias.

May we remind you about one more announcement. The Gospel of St. Matthew, and chapter 12, and verse 48. But Yahshua then said unto him, that told him, Who is my mother, and who are my brothers? Verse 50. For whosoever shall do the will of my Father, which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. As believers in Lord Jesus Christ, we have got many rights and privileges. And one of the privileges is to find and do the will of God. And one of the privileges is to find and do the will of God. And you find, once you have learned the secret of finding God's will for every matter, your whole life will be completely transformed. And most of your problems, and your failures, and your difficulties are due to one secret. You have never learned that secret. And that's why most of you suffer a very, very heavy loss. You waste your time, waste your money, energy, and your affection. Because you have not really learned to find and do his perfect will. Now there is one question which is put to us as God's servants by many people everywhere. How to find or how to be sure of God's will? Even though it is such an important matter, yet we find very few have really learned that secret. And that's why this evening we feel burdened to share with you that simple secret. I thank God he taught me that secret many years ago. I was born again in the month of December 1929. And I found in my heart great desire to testify to his saving power. And I was very hungry for the Bible. And that's why I began to spend many hours with the Bible. I believe this is the word of God and one day God will teach me all these things you don't know today. I began to attend meetings almost every evening somewhere. And whenever anybody wanted me to go speak for them, I was very glad, very thankful. In 1932, I was staying in Vancouver, Canada. And I recorded my whole life for God's service in the month of April 1932. After two years of struggle, I did that. God was speaking to me again and again. He was engineering and following me to the gospel. I kept on saying, Lord I promise thee I will give thee all my income. I have no desire for money or any of my own personal need or comfort. Lord I promise thee I will give thee all my income. But I beg thee, please don't make me a preacher. I kept on saying, Lord I stutter, I stammer. And how can a stammerer be a public preacher? I don't know music. I try to sing ordinary Malayalam tunes. I am so poor in music. And also, I am very shy, very nervous. If I see twenty people, my knees shake. How can a man be a public speaker? Lord was saying to me again and again, I don't want your money. I want you. After two years of struggle, I gave my life finally for service. But I wanted to go everywhere, as we opened up, given by testimony or God message. One day somebody telephoned me and said to me, Could you come and speak to us on a certain Sunday? I said, wait a while, I will see my diary. I saw my diary. I was free on that Sunday. Yes, I will be glad to come. And my friend overheard what I said. And they said to me, Don't you find God's will before accepting an invitation? There is no need to find God's will. I am not going to find my own personal will. This is my privilege. Justify it to my Lord. But my friend said well, how do you know? God might have some other plan for you. I thought they were just trying to find fault with me. I got very much hundred. I never said good morning for two weeks. Even though they were trying to speak with me so nicely, I won't even say yes. Unnecessarily these people are trying to find fault with me. Unnecessarily these people are trying to find fault with me. I would too wish I killed myself. Anyway, I don't know how to find God's will. If anybody were to question me, how can you prove it? I can't prove it. I was just saying in general term, Lord, let the I will be done. That's all. I was just saying in general term, Lord, let the I will be done. That's all. I used to go by seaside and pray all the whole day. I decided I won't take any meeting till I am sure God will. After about two weeks of prayer, I thank God, He taught me from His word how to find His will. After about two weeks of prayer, I thank God, He taught me from His word how to find His will. And that made a great difference in my life and service. And that made a great difference in my life and service. First of all I am going to share with you is based upon the experience Lord Himself has taught. I want you to keep in mind three things about God's will. First of all, the importance of finding God's will. First of all, the importance of finding God's will. Secondly, the condition to be fulfilled to find God's will. And thirdly, the proof or the test of finding God's will. The evidences are the proofs of God's will. I am sure as you begin to pray, Lord Himself will teach you. I am sure as you begin to pray, Lord Himself will teach you. Don't worry, you can't remember everything that we say. As long as you are willing, God will teach you. First of all, please see the importance of finding God's will. First of all, please see the importance of finding God's will. We read the portion of Psalm 29. We read the portion of Psalm 29. You find there that phrase, the voice of the Lord is repeated again and again. You find there that phrase, the voice of the Lord is repeated again and again. In the third verse, it is said that the voice of the Lord is heard over the clouds. In the fourth verse, it is said that the voice of the Lord is powerful. The word of the Lord breaketh the cedar of Lebanon. The word of the Lord divideth the cedar of Lebanon. The word of the Lord breaketh the flames of fire. The word of the Lord shaketh the wilderness. The word of the Lord maketh the hindookah. The word of the Lord maketh the womb of the Lord. When we hear the voice of God, we see every obstacle overcome. When we hear the voice of God, we see every obstacle overcome. Without hearing God's voice, you cannot find God's will. Once you hear the voice of God, you remain in darkness. Once you hear the voice of God, you remain in darkness. But by hearing God's voice, you see every obstacle being overcome and mouth is flowing away in your presence. But by hearing God's voice, you see every obstacle being overcome and mouth is flowing away in your presence. And God's power at your disposal in wholeness. And that's why you must learn how to hear and discern the voice of God. God does speak. God is a living person. I am a living person. And if we believe in a living person, you have to believe also in His voice. I am a living person. And power can only come into us in fullness by hearing His voice. God takes away my life. From today I resign my office as a life prophet. Now for a government service, you must notice. Now for a government service, you must notice. But I just said last day that I resign. I am not going to be your prophet anymore. You take away my life. I want to die. He thought God was sleeping. Because in chapter 18, he saw God's fire coming from heaven. And he killed the false prophets. He killed all the false prophets. Elijah killed 850 false prophets. And Jezebel heard about it. And Jezebel told him, now within 24 hours, I am going to kill you also. And Jezebel told him, now within 24 hours, I am going to kill you also. Elijah was very sure that before that, God will set fire upon him. Elijah was sure that before that, God will set fire upon him. But the fire did not set. Now look at Elijah. For his sake, I am so jealous. And the wicked queen wanted to kill me. And God did not take any action. And God did not take any action. If I were in God's place, I would have killed him. That is why God said, now take my resignation. How many times do you think that God's servants are like this? When things go wrong, they haven't got enough money for some time. But when the time comes, they all freeze nicely. I think God is going to tell him, Lord, how can I freeze now? I go home, my wife troubles me. Nobody fills my pocket. No use to be your servant. I am not going to preach anymore. If they do preach, they do it with real joy. If they do preach, they do it with real joy. But if somebody fills their pocket, then both hands move. Elijah thought God is sleeping. Elijah thought God is sleeping. What is the use of serving God like this? God is so loving. He is so long-suffering. He is so patient. He took him very lovingly on a high mountain. He took him very lovingly on a high mountain. And he made a very great and strong wind to pass by. So much so it ran the mountain. God was not in the wind. But it is written that God was not in the wind. And then after this wind, a storm came. And even in this storm, God was not there. And then after this storm, a fire came. And even in this fire, God was not there. After the fire, there was still a small voice. And God spoke to Elijah. Elijah, I am not sleeping. Elijah, I am not sleeping. God never forgets. His ways are not our ways. His ways are higher than our ways. His ways are higher than our ways. Then God revealed to him all that he had planned to do in years to come. Then God revealed to him all that he had planned to do in years to come. Still a small voice of God. Still a small voice of God. You will find all your questions will be answered by hearing God's voice. You will find all your questions will be answered by hearing God's voice. Do you feel dejected this evening? Is your mind powerless concerning any matter? Is your mind powerless concerning any matter? Are these things happening around you, puzzling you? Are you finding any problem very complicated in your home or outside? But all that you have to hear the voice of God. But all that you have to hear the voice of God. And that will solve your problem. Now further please. Now further please. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God or whether it be myself. The vision you see here, your understanding of the doctrine of Christ, The vision you see here, your understanding of the doctrine of Christ, depends upon also knowing and doing God's will. Otherwise your mind will be confused. And if you do God's will, then the doctrine of salvation will become more clear and simple and plain to you. then the doctrine of salvation will become more clear and simple and plain to you. You will find God's word more enjoyable day by day, something fresh coming out. You will be safe from many wrong teachings and wrong doctors. You will be safe from many wrong teachings and wrong doctors. Then a 1 John chapter 5. Then a 1 John chapter 5. 1 John 5, verse 14. To the confidence we have in Him, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. To the confidence we have in Him, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. Knowing the will of God will make your life more powerful and fruitful. Knowing the will of God will make your life more powerful and fruitful. Very few people find true happiness in the time of prayer. They like singing, they like teaching, they like sermon, they like nursing. But for prayer time they get headache. Their knees ache and their stomach ache, headache all ache. Because they don't know how to find God's will. If you find the secret of finding God's will, it will make your prayer life abundantly fruitful. If you find the secret of finding God's will, it will make your prayer life abundantly fruitful. From the verse 13, St. Paul answered, What means ye to weep and break my heart? I am ready not to be rebound only. I will die as Jerusalem, for the name of the Lord Jesus. When ye would not be persuaded, we see saying, The will of the Lord be done. St. Paul answered, What means ye to weep and break my heart? I am ready not to be rebound only. I will die as Jerusalem, for the name of the Lord Jesus. When ye would not be persuaded, we see saying, The will of the Lord be done. Now having heard the voice of God, Paul is on the way to Jerusalem. On the way he stopped at Caesarea. And he asked somebody from the side how he was going to be bound by going there. He never said don't go there. He only said by going there you are going to be bound. And Paul's companion began to weep. Please don't go there. We won't let you go there. We need you. Paul said, What means ye to weep and break my heart? What means ye to weep and break my heart? I am ready not to be rebound only. Why are you saying that? You are sure and clear of God's will. Knowing God's will we can suffer joyfully in case of necessity. Otherwise when troubles come you are downcast. Full of fear. No appetite for the food and no sleep at night time. But by knowing God's will we can suffer joyfully in case of necessity. And then we see the whole life of Lord Jesus Christ was lived in doing God's will. John 4.44 John 4.44 Jesus said to them, my meat is full of him that sent me to finish his work. John 5.30 John 5.30 The whole life of Lord Jesus Christ was lived in doing God's will. Whatever he did, wherever he went, whatever he said, in the same purpose. Whatever he did, wherever he went, whatever he said, in the same purpose. The Lord is saying, who is my brother, who is my mother, who is my sister, who is my father. The enjoyment of God's affection depends upon our doing God's will. Then Ephesians chapter 5 Verse 17 and 18 Therefore, being not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. We are drunk with wine and excess, but we are filled with the spirit. Therefore, being not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. We are drunk with wine and excess, but we are filled with the spirit. You don't know how to find God's will, you are a fool. You don't know how to find God's will, you are a fool. If anybody will call you a fool, you will be very much angry. How dare you call me a fool, I am not a fool. I am a metric fail. I am not a fool. Nobody likes to be called a fool. But the Bible says, If you have not learned the secret, you are a fool. And the fullness of the Holy Ghost depends upon knowing and doing God's will. And the fullness of the Holy Ghost depends upon knowing and doing God's will. By waving your hand in the air and rolling on the ground, you will get the fullness of the Holy Spirit. By waving your hand in the air and rolling on the ground, you will get the fullness of the Holy Spirit. By doing God's will, you enter automatically in God's fullness. By doing God's will, you enter automatically in God's fullness. Now we have seen how important it is to learn the secret. Now we have seen how important it is to learn the secret. It is not an ordinary matter. It is a very important matter. And you must think about it more seriously. And you must think about it more seriously. Because your happiness and your fullness are based on this. Secondly, we get the condition to be fulfilled to find God's will. Psalm 143 Verse 10 Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God. Thy spirit is good. Lead me to the land of uprightness. That is the first condition. Teach me. You have to say yourself by faith. God won't force you, won't compel you. Every man is free will. Every man is free will. Only when we go to him and say to him, Lord, teach me, then he can teach us. My name is Prabhupada Kirli. I am Nidhi Prabhavanak. Near Pintu Nagani. I am near Pintu Nagani. I am near Pintu Nagani. when you sit against 26th and 49th Last part Not as I will, but thou will. Willing to die to my own will. Willing to die to my own will. Many of us will go to God with many, many plans and requests. We only want God to say yes to our plan. We only want God to say yes to our plan. But you have to say it by faith. Lord, not my will, but thy will. I am willing and very happy to allow my plan broken. I am willing and very happy to allow my plan broken. We say it from the heart every day. Don't say it only as a formality. Third time Sir, 40 verses. I delight to thy will, O my God, Yea, thy law is in my heart. This is third condition. To be able to say, I delight, O God, to thy will. Willing to obey God joyfully. Don't go with a sorrowful face. Some are afraid to find God's will. God may say no to their plan. They have already decided to go to Madras. But saying God's will, don't go. So they are afraid. But still the order is out. They are frightened. I won't play dodge ball. I delight to thy will, O God, Yea, thy law is in my heart. Say it honestly. I delight to thy will, O God, Yea, thy law is in my heart. Whatever you say, I will do joyfully. Whatever you say, I will do joyfully. Yea, thy law is in my heart. There should be growing love in the heart for God's word. Then fourthly,
