When you strip it of everything else, Pentecost stands for power and life. That’s what came into the church when the Holy Spirit came down on the day of Pentecost. Today, some Christians are content to merely exist until they die. They don’t want to risk anything, to believe God, to grow or mature. They refuse to believe his Word, and have become hardened in their unbelief. Now they’re living just to die. What is it about tears that should be so terrifying? the touch of God is marked by tears…deep, soul-shaking tears, weeping…it comes when that last barrier is down and you surrender yourself to health and wholeness. As I look back over fifty years of ministry, I recall innumerable tests, trials and times of crushing pain. But through it all, the Lord has proven faithful, loving, and totally true to all his promises. Many of those who once were so passionately in love with Christ now run about pursuing their own interests. They’re burdened down with stress and problems, chasing after riches and the things of this world. Our nation is being led astray by ungodly judges, mayors and governors, who are given to change, defying the Constitution and substituting their own wicked agendas. Before His final judgements fall, God wants to bathe you in His precious blood and His Word. What makes us think God would judge every past society when they reached this stage–and yet somehow we, who are more wicked than all of them, will escape? God has never, in the history of mankind, allowed his name to go long offended. The judgments of God will fall on America so swiftly and mightily that there will be no mistaking they are from God. Every prophet who’s been preaching peace and prosperity and lulling a sinful nation to sleep will soon be exposed. This nation will know that the time has come to pay up! In the early years I was negative [prophetic books] and there are a lot of things I would like to take back. I’m not a prophet, just a watchman. I tried to build on the word of prophets. I carried with me all this time over the years a bit of self-condemnation if I only had more education. I only had one year of Bible school. My parents were poor and could not afford college. I had an inner nagging if only I had been more educated I would be much better in my exegesis of scripture. But my father taught me to pray. He said ‘God will always make a way for a praying man. It is totally silent about the Reality of Hell and an After-Death Judgment."
