Thank you, Lord, for your presence. Thank you, Lord, for the ministry of the Holy Spirit, which faithfully. Makes us to know. The beauty. Of our God and our savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Father, I pray this morning that you would. Enable us to receive your word. As your word this morning is prophetic. Prophetic in nature, in that it is a word that we will. Not only be drawing upon now, but will be drawing upon. As long. As we're on this earthly pilgrimage. Father, I'm asking today that the Holy Spirit. Would help us to be honest. Would disarm our defense mechanisms, which so often rise up when the word of God is seeking to penetrate into the depths of our being. And. That we would experience the grace of God that would enable us to become vulnerable. To your word and transparent to your word and accountable to your word. And that we would not be ashamed. As your word reveals our nakedness and our need for you. But that we would be drawn. By your everlasting love. And find. In you. All that we have need of. Please, father. Make us to hear your voice today through your precious word, I pray for Jesus sake, for his glory in his name, for the advancement of his kingdom. In the hearts of men and women, we pray a man. And a man glory to God, he is forever faithful, he is forever true, he cannot lie. He cannot listen, God cannot lie, God cannot be unfaithful or untrue. Let me. Let me say this, that we're continuing on trial, anger, victory, part two. I encourage you to get part one. We're not going to review today, we're going to move on because we have lots to carry. I consider this to be a providential time that the Lord has brought us thus far in our series in the building of the house of God, because that's what this is. It's the series of the building of the house of God. And we've learned so many different aspects of what God is doing in our life in order to qualify us to become part of the house of God, which is the church. And it just seems that providentially God has brought us into this part, this section, trials and anger and victory at a very timely time when many of us, if not all of us, are experiencing some kind of trial and difficulty and test. Let me say this very quickly, and I pray the Holy Spirit will, if anything, if anything, will write these words on the tablets of your heart this morning, because this is of utmost importance. The Bible says in Deuteronomy, chapter thirty three. Verse twenty six, there is none like unto the God of Jeshua, who write it upon the heaven. In thy help and in his excellency on the sky, the eternal God is thy refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms. And he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee and shall say, destroy. Listen, beloved, it is of utmost importance that we ask the Holy Spirit to make us to know beyond any doubt. By the work of his power, by the work of his grace, that we who have trusted Christ as Savior and Lord, we who have become his children. Have a place of shelter, a place of refuge, a place where we can hide. And be comforted. It is God himself. So the first point that we want to make very clear before we go into this word today. Now, this sounds elementary, but let me tell you, beloved. When you are in the midst of a test and a trial. Now, you remember last week, listen to that thought now, when you are in the midst of a test and a trial. You remember last week we closed showing. That trials in the Bible are likened unto fire. OK, we learned last week that trials are like fire and we we we looked at four different qualities of fire. That revealed to us spiritually what trials do when we're in them. First of all, fire is clear. It's brilliant, it's enlightening, and we learned that a fiery trial. Draws us to God and our eyes are enlightened, and though we go through a time and season where it seems that we are in heaviness, according to Peter. Yet there is a process that God brings us through where our eyes begin to get clear and we start to see more clearly the Lord. We start to see his word. We start to hear him more clearly in his word. That's one of the effects that a trial has. Number two, fire penetrates. It penetrates. I often am amazed when we build a fire in our fireplace and we put a piece of wood in there initially. Initially, it appears that the outward part, the outward surface where the where the bark is ignites because of the heat. But as as that piece of log sits in that fire, that fire penetrates to the very center of that log. And lo and behold, after a short time, every. Particle of that log has been infested and infiltrated by the flame, and likewise, when we're in the midst of a fiery trial. God goes into the depths of our being and penetrates into the very center of who we are in order to work a purifying process. Thirdly, we learned that fire moves upward toward God. And as we are in the midst of a fiery trial and we call upon the name of the Lord, our spirits begin to cry up toward God. The fiery trial has an effect on us. That causes all of our being to look upward toward God, we may have been looking toward people, we may have been looking toward dreams, hopes. We may have been looking toward goals. We may have been looking toward the past. We may have been looking at the present. We may be looking at the future. But when we're in the midst of a fiery trial, our look and our glance turns from everything and we begin to look to God alone. We look up to him. And lastly, we learned fire consumes and destroys, which is part of the purging process. Now, I said that to say this, when you're in the midst of a trial, beloved. You're going to find that the the very elementary fundamental truths that you've learned are going to be challenged. And here's what here's here's the main fundamental truth that's going to be challenged when you're in the midst of a fiery trial. Does God really love me? Does he really care about me? Does God. Really. Understand what I'm going through right now, and so it is so important for us to ask our father in heaven to assure us of his love, to assure us of the security of that love. While going through the midst of a fiery trial. Number one, God loves you. Sounds simple, doesn't it? God cares about you. He cares about what you're going through. And even though you are being subject to a test or a trial, God's love for you and his care for you has not changed. Now, how many here believe that God loves you and that he cares for you? Everyone here would raise their hand, but how many have experienced in measure a trial or a test of some kind? And the thought has come to you, does God really care, does he really love me, how can God love me and this happen or that happen? Have you ever experienced that in measure? Of course, we all have, you see. And so that's why God, so that's why the Holy Spirit drew so close to us this morning as we were waiting upon him. He was just affirming the fact that he loves us so very much now in the book of Genesis. Chapter forty five, this is. At a time when Joseph was about to reveal himself to his brothers. Now, listen closely, because this is a foundation that we're going to lay in order to enter into this. Part of the series, trials, anger and victory, trials, anger and victory. Very briefly. This whole story begins in Genesis chapter 17, where Joseph. Has a dream. And he in his dream, God reveals to him that there was a day coming when his brothers and his family would bow down to him. And acknowledge. Honor to him in a manner that offended all of them, they all got upset with Joseph. Well, to make a long story short, Joseph's brothers moved with envy, sold him into slavery. And Joseph, at a young age, was taken from his father, taken from his brothers and brought into the land of Egypt where he became Potiphar's servant. God was with him. God gave him honor. Potiphar's wife sought to seduce Joseph and Joseph refused to. Consequently, Potiphar's wife lied about Joseph and he was thrown in the prison. And so there was a young man who was going through great trials and tests. While in the prison. Pharaoh had a dream, no one could interpret the dream, so he went to Joseph and Joseph interpreted the dream. OK, as a result of interpreting the dream, Joseph was taken out of prison and he was placed in a position of great authority in the land of Canaan. He was the right hand man. To King Pharaoh himself. The dream revealed, which Joseph interpreted, that there would be seven years of plenty and then seven years of famine, and Joseph counseled Pharaoh to. Store up grain and cattle during the seven years of plenty, so that when the seven years of famine came, the land of Egypt would have an abundance. Pharaoh agreed that that was good counsel and he made Joseph the manager over that project. Well, lo and behold, just as the Lord revealed to Joseph. Seven years of plenty, the land brought forth wonderfully, and at the end of those seven years, Joseph had successfully. Gathered up the plenty and stored it in grain barns, and. After that, seven years of famine began and it was horrible. Well, lo and behold, the land of Canaan was enveloped in a horrible famine and Joseph's family, his father and his brothers were in trouble. And so the only place they could go is where? Egypt, and they found they heard word that Egypt had bread, so they went to Egypt and who did they have to talk to? Joseph, the very one. Many years earlier, they had sold into slavery. Their heart had moved with envy, they despised him, they hated him, they were jealous. And here they were. Bowing down to Joseph, just like the dream revealed. They were in need of food, and now it seems as if the Lord turned the whole thing around and rather than Joseph being in a great trial, his brothers suddenly were in a great trial. And of course, Joseph loved his brothers very much and he loved his family. But now I just want you to imagine what these brothers felt like. The first thing they began to think of, Joseph began to deal very craftily with them. In order to reveal to them what they did in order to surface in them to see whether or not they were truly, truly repentant and sorry for what they had done. But Joseph loved him so much that eventually he couldn't stand it. That's where we're at right now. Genesis chapter forty five. Verse one. Now, this is very, very, very important for us to grasp this truth, because this is what Jesus is doing now in our midst. Listen closely. Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him. And he cried, cause every man to go out for me. And there stood no man with him while Joseph made himself known to his brethren. Joseph had listen, Joseph had been ill treated by his brothers. He was lied about by his brothers. He was sold into slavery by his brothers. But Joseph loved his brothers, even though he had gone through this terrible trial. And now they were in the midst of a horrible test, a horrible trial and all Joseph wanted to do. Listen, listen closely. He wanted to get over with what he knew had to be done. And that was he knew the trial had to serve the purpose of surfacing in them the need to see brokenness, the need to see humiliation. I mean, the oldest brother was willing to what? Give his life for Benjamin so that his father would not be overcome with grief and die. And so God successfully used this trial to develop in these brothers some real beautiful qualities. That were pictures of the divine nature, forgiveness, a willingness to lay their life down, a willingness to see their wrong, a willingness to see how mortal they were, how horribly they treated Joseph. But that wasn't really what Joseph was glorying in. See, he wasn't so pleased that his brothers were finally getting paid back. No, he loved them so much that the the greatest desire in Joseph's heart. Was to make himself known in the midst of the trial. To assure them. Now, this addresses, Bill, a little bit what we talked about last week to assure them that no matter what the cause was. See, God uses human error and human sin and incorporates that into his bigger purpose, his eternal purpose. Of course, Joseph told the dreams and his brothers moved with envy and he was sold into slavery. And we see a lot of human action going on here, but we see over and above that human action. We see a sovereign God who saw the whole thing and. And decided to incorporate what was going on on a human level and weave it into his eternal purpose. This. And that's really what Joseph was eager to reveal to these young men, older men. They had to go through the refining fire. Don't you see these four qualities that fire reveals operating in these young men? Fire is clear, bright and enlightening. Oh, my, did they go through a time when they started seeing clearly? Boy, I tell you, they were bowing down. They started seeing how horrible they treated their brother, they started getting filled with all kinds of guilt. Oh, my, surely our life is over with a despaired life. Carrie, they were so afraid. The fire of that trial just revealed to them their corruption and everything. It penetrated fire, moves us up toward God. Where did those brothers end up when they were in the midst of that fiery trial? Boy, were they crying out to God. Oh, God, have mercy on us. Oh, God, give us one more chance. Oh, God, don't let this man take our younger brother, Benjamin. Our father will die. We know he'll go to his grave. Oh, my, how it purified their hearts, how it sobered them. And lastly, it consumed and destroyed and revealed the dross. Now, watch this, here's here's here's what the Lord saying. He removed everyone from the room so that it was just Joseph. And his brethren, and this is what he wanted to do, Joseph made himself known to his brethren. Listen carefully, please, brothers and sisters, listen, no matter what kind of trial, no matter what kind of tribulation, no matter what kind of anger, no matter what's going on in your life. When God entrusts you with a trial, a fiery trial, understand you're going to go through a lot of gyrations. You're going to go through a lot of experiences. You're going to experience anger, pain, confusion, sorrow. God's going to reveal areas of sin in your life. Maybe listen, listen, the trial might not be the result of a conscious act of sin, but when you're in the midst of it, you're going to see sin. You're going to see your depravity. You're going to see how without God, you you complain, you grumble. Everything will come out. But listen, be assured by the word of the Lord today in the word of God and the witness of the Holy Spirit that God's chief delight when he allows his children to go through trials is not when they are seeing their depravity and going through confusion like Job sitting on a pile of ashes and crying out what's going on. That's not his chiefest delight. He is eager for all that to happen and all that to take place so he can get to the next part of the plan. What's the next part of the plan? While Joseph made himself known to his brethren. Listen, there is something that Christ wants to make known about himself that the trial is setting you up for. And because we're so human and so fallen. Oftentimes, all we can see is the junk that the trial is stirring up. The junk. And sometimes we wonder, oh, my God, I'm going through such a hard time in this trial. And all I see is junk and all I see is dross. And all I see is anger like Naaman we learned a few weeks ago, because things never work out the way we expect when we're in the trial. But brothers, you be assured by the word of the Lord this morning. That Jesus is holding back his tears right now. He's restraining himself from revealing himself to you too soon because he knows that there's a purpose that Father has and what you're going through. But he's not he's not going into his chambers in heaven every night and saying, oh, hallelujah. Thank God, Norman. Thank God, Norman's finally realizing how horrible he is and how depraved he is. Oh good, look at that. They're suffering. Oh good, I'm so pleased. They're going through such pain. Yes, thank you. No, He loves you so much. He's holding back His tears. Just waiting for Father to say, Okay, son, it's time, it's time, it's time, it's time. Go ahead, go reveal yourself to Him. Go make yourself known to them. Go reveal your tender mercies. Go and make them to know that no matter why, in a human way, they're going through what they're going through. Show them that what the enemy intended for their destruction, I have intended for their good. Show them how this whole trial they're going through is being woven into my eternal purpose. And show them that you've prepared a place for them. In the midst of the trial. Now watch this. Genesis 45, verse 2. And he wept aloud. And the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard. And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph. Every single believer that belongs to Jesus Christ, that is subject to a trial, that is subject to a test, will eventually come to the place where in God's timing and in God's own way, Jesus through His Word and through His Holy Spirit will come and say to you, I am Jesus. I'm right here. I'm revealing myself to you. Right in the midst of what you're going through. Now watch this. Doth my father yet live? His brethren could not answer him. For they were troubled at his presence. And Joseph said to his brethren, Listen. Come near to me. Or another translation says, Approach me closer. Come closer. Listen. Listen. Your trial will result in God saying to you, Not depart from me. Not get out of my presence. You will hear the Lord say to you in the midst of what you're going through, Approach me. And come closer. Come closer to me. Now watch this. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom you sold into Egypt. Now therefore, be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves that you sold me here. For God did send me before to preserve life. Okay, brothers and sisters, listen carefully, all right? God loves you. God cares about you. And in the midst of your trial, the Lord is waiting for the opportune moment to reveal himself to you. To speak to you. And listen. And to begin to interpret what you are going through. Do you believe that this morning? Turn your Bibles to the book of James, please. That's the foundation. Joseph reveals himself to his brothers. Joseph says, come near to me. Come near to me. Listen, there is a grace that God releases in the midst of a trial, in the midst of a test. It's a grace that enables a believer to draw near. As it says in the book of Hebrews. Draw near with a full assurance of heart. Come to the throne of grace. Where you'll find help and mercy in time of need. Now, here's what we have right here. We have Jesus waiting for the right time in the midst of our fiery trial. Come near to me. I want to reveal myself to you. Don't be afraid. Don't be grieved. God is in control. And here's what He's doing. That brings us to James chapter 1. Now, let's listen to God's word this morning. And experience the power that He wants to bring us in the midst of what we're going through right now. James chapter 1. Beginning in verse number 1. James, a servant of God and the Lord Jesus Christ to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad. Greeting. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall in to all kinds of temptations and trials. Number 1. We're just going to make a list here. Number 1. Joy in tribulation. Count it all joy when you fall into all different kinds of trials and temptations and testings. How can we experience joy in the midst of trials and temptations? Listen. Joy comes in the midst of trials and temptations when we affirm God loves us. He cares about us. And that He reveals Himself to us in the midst of what we're going through. The joy is connected to the promise that we have. That God through His Son is right with us. If we lose sight of that, our joy can very quickly dissipate. Number 2. Knowing this, that the trying of our faith works patience. Number 1. Joy in temptation. Number 2. Character in temptation. You remember? Joseph revealed himself and started to talk to his brethren. He started to interact with his brethren. What is it that Jesus is going to do in the midst of the trial? When He reveals Himself to you, He's going to give you a song. Joy in temptation. Number 2. Character in temptation. He's going to begin to reveal to you that this particular temptation, this particular trial that you're going through right now is responsible in the hands of God in developing in you divine character. Patience. Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. Knowing that the trial of your faith worketh hope. Knowing that the trial of your faith is working perseverance. Knowing that the trial of your faith is working gentleness. Knowing that the trying of your faith is working contentment. Knowing that the trying of your faith is working peace what is the testing of your faith working what is God doing in your life as a result of what you're going through you might say I have no idea I have no clue what God is trying to do will then go back to number one God loves me God cares about me and in his timing he'll make me to know Joseph's brothers had to go through a certain amount of difficulty and confusion before Joseph could reveal himself to them and every single one of us have to go through a certain amount of darkness and confusion and uncertainty before father opens up his word and reveals himself to us number three wisdom wisdom in temptation wisdom in trials verse number four let patients have her perfect work that you may be entire whole having all its parts the phrase there that you may be perfect and entire refers to the developing of the divine character of our father in heaven let this trial work in you the full intention of father which is to etch into your spirit in my spirit the likeness of his son the Lord Jesus Christ then next we see wisdom now listen if any of you lack wisdom let him ask of God which gives to all men liberally and does not find fault and it shall be given him but let him ask in faith nothing wavering for he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed let not that man think he shall receive anything of the Lord a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways okay brothers and sisters listen please carefully we learned first of all that God wants to work joy in tribulation secondly character in tribulation next wisdom in tribulation I hope you're writing these down or remembering them or marking them in your Bible this will become gold to you brothers and sisters precious gold that no earthly price can be paid to obtain this this will bring you through now wisdom and faith are connected if any man lack wisdom let him ask let him ask of God who gives liberally that means abundantly to all now remember the wisdom is in the context of what going through a trial going through a difficulty but let him ask in faith now please listen carefully because if you don't understand this you're you're going to despair probably one of the first things that nearly leaves our life when we're in the midst of a trial and that's faith so we have to understand what the Holy Spirit is trying to say here this phrase but let him ask in faith nothing wavering it has nothing to do with being in the midst of the trial and having no doubts or no questions or no confusion has nothing to do with that the faith is connected to let him ask for wisdom but if we're going to ask for wisdom we have to believe that God loves us and he cares about us not I cannot have any doubt in the midst of what I'm going through or else God won't give me wisdom that's foolishness that's that's not supportive by the Word of God all of God's servants have doubted have gone through all kinds of trials and difficulties in question God and wondered where he was in Peter said I'm going fishing I'm out of here he I mean he gave up but he he knew he believed that Jesus loved him and cared for him so there's a distinction here between faith in knowing that God loves me but doubting and questioning everything he's doing in my life you could do that you're free to do that you're human I'm human God understands our frame is but dust but James is careful to say don't lose faith in trusting that no that in spite of the fact that you don't understand what's going on that God still loves you and that he cares about you and that he's with you and that in his timing he will make known to you his purpose because when you lose faith in a loving God you become meat for the enemy you become meat for the serpent and he plays havoc with you and that can drive you to do things that are horrible it's like being a wave tossed to and fro in the sea that man can't receive anything from the Lord if my children suddenly believe that I no longer love them or care for them then they will not receive anything that I try and do for them to consider on this point of wisdom I'd like for you to consider some of the ways listen some of the ways that God gives wisdom okay the first way that God gives wisdom and he does it through our heart through the trial being enlarged so that we can begin to pray certain kinds of prayers see God wants our heart to pray certain kinds of prayers in the midst of trials so that wisdom can dawn on us here's the first prayer that God wants us to pray while we're in the midst of a trial which becomes a window into the wisdom of God number one father whatever brings maximum glory to your name if any man lacks wisdom let him ask of God father whatever brings maximum glory to you when we're going through a trial and when we're going through a test we're going to be very very self-centered until Jesus reveals himself to us once he reveals himself to us we are freed by the grace of God to be a lot less self-centered a lot less concerned about why this is happening to me and how it's affecting me and we are empowered by the grace of God to say father here I am and I want you to do what brings the maximum glory to your name we suddenly are no longer the center but God's glory becomes the center and the focal point of our heart let me ask you a question this morning do you find yourself when you're in the midst of a fiery trial saying Oh God do whatever brings maximum glory to you or do you find yourself saying Oh God why am I going through this I I I I me my my feelings my success my pride my comfort zone my life you see how inclined we are as creatures of humanity but there's an emancipation and in the midst of the trial God's looking for this cry Oh father do whatever brings glory to you number two a second prayer a second prayer father what are you trying to teach me father what are you trying to teach me if any man lacks wisdom let him ask of God God is eager to show you and teach you in the midst of your trial I heard recently of a testimony of a of a dear elderly saying who was in another country teaching and she suddenly became afflicted with horrible stomach pain to the point where they were rushing her to the emergency room and her life was in danger and she suddenly she suddenly told those that were rushing her to the emergency room leave me alone leave me alone I want to get alone with God and she prayed and she said Lord what are you trying to teach me and she said wonderfully the Holy Spirit responded and said you have fallen into spiritual pride she said Lord how have I done that that week she had gotten two letters from two famous ministers from two different countries both of those letters were stating how her ministry had made a great impact on their life and as she read those letters spiritual pride was birthed in her spirit and the Lord showed her and so she immediately said Oh father you're right forgive me this is nauseating in your eyes within five minutes the pain was gone that night she was ministering in the conference and she never had since then another episode father what are you trying to teach me now does that mean that every time we go through a trial when we pray that God's going to show us something that we did that that's the cause of why we're going through it of course not but are we willing to pray that prayer for our father to speak to us that's important number three number three here's the next question see these questions do you see how they become windows through which the wisdom of God can begin to come into our life the next question is in the midst of a trial father what is the next step that you want me to take what's the next step give me wisdom Lord what's the next step what do you want me to do I'll never forget when I was suffering from gallbladder disease and then it developed into pancreatitis actually before that when I suffered the heart attack some of you were aware and with us during that time I remember that I was in my house it was after a Sunday October 25th 1992 October 25th after Sunday went home went upstairs was changing into sweatpants my heart started racing up to about 140 I started feeling lightheaded and dizzy and I remember praying Oh God what should I do what should I do I came downstairs and I started getting cold and clammy and death I sensed death was in the room and I had another lights lightheaded spell almost passed out that's what I told Collette I said Collette I believe I'm having a heart attack and immediately there was despair and I believe Collette said we should call 911 or call the ambulance but the Lord wouldn't let me do that at that time said no we can't I can't do that now we have to pray and I remember they're difficult breathing the elephant the proverbial elephant was sitting on the chest and it was growing from a little infant baby elephant to a big huge full grown elephant what's the next step Lord what's the next step and I said no I can't call we have to pray and I remember at that time Collette got on her knees I was sitting on the couch she got on her knees and she put her head down on my lap and she began to weep bitterly and cried and out of her mouth came these words I'm paraphrasing it's been 10 years now Oh God Phil does not belong to me he's yours you can have him if you want him just don't let him be taken before his time immediately what was the next step I suddenly knew the Lord was saying call the ambulance went to the hospital they checked me I started talking to the nurse about Jesus and said you know that if I should die right now I knew I know that I would be in heaven because Christ is my savior she's there Oh really huh little did I know that right after I said that I remember getting lightheaded and family ventricular fibrillation my heart basically stopped clinically I died they had to jumpstart me twice and I remember opening my eyes and they were shoving a respirator down my throat and I was like I'm awake and they took it out and that began a journey a trial that to this day has not totally left yet because I never know there's so much uncertainty I never know I never know what's going to happen but I have come to learn many many things in those 10 years it would take 10 years to touch on the things that God has brought in our our whole family as a result of that trial but one of the things I've learned through this trial was that God is very jealous for our life and he wants he wants us to learn how we can trust him in any and every situation no matter what is going on can you trust God in no matter what happens in your life his goodness his love I can remember after my heart attack for months and months I couldn't sleep at night I was so afraid I was so my my humanity was exposed naked I realized how weak and feeble I was on the verge of a mental and emotional breakdown because of the uncertainty of not knowing what was going to happen it brought me to the point of utter despair and in the midst of utter despair the Lord revealed himself to me in the midst of it and I remember he brought me to Psalm 23 and he walked me down to in the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for thou thou art with me and I can't tell you what happened I knew he was the rock that was holding me when everything else failed he kept me did you have great faith during this time I had no faith I know the faith preachers don't like that confession I had no faith and to this day I don't have faith over an absolute miracle I'm healed I don't know what I am but I know he's with me and I know I take one day at a time did you doubt God doubt God oh why did it happen man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God I learned that I cannot live by anything except God's word and it is it through that experience where God birthed a love and a passion for his word in my life so you see God knows what he's doing and I remember the pancreatitis Oh horrible horrible trial I was in the room the kids were in the other room we were in Sussex and the kids were crying because I was in the other room groaning so loudly they thought I was dying I was dying I was dying and suddenly suddenly I sense the Lord say OK go to the hospital the doctor said if I had waited 24 hours later what would have happened would have been dead 24 hours later and so nine days in the hospital no water I remember the IV was right above me and after about the fifth and sixth day I was so thirsty I would have visions of the IV bursting and the water falling on my face and I would open up my mouth and drink it you have to be there to understand did anyone ever have to go through a time where they wouldn't give you water no well then you can't relate I was so thirsty I just wanted a drink of water the tube down my throat I was oh I was so sick so sick and just about dead why why why would God allow such a thing let me tell you something beloved I wouldn't trade the trials and testings that God has entrusted to me and my family for all the money that Bill Gates could offer me wouldn't do it because they became gateways doors into which the Lord revealed himself in ways that I could have never ever in my wildest dream in my intense Bible studies and all my books that I read could have never come to know except through he's a loving God he's a caring God he'll never leave you he'll never forsake you and lastly the last question we ask first of all do whatever brings maximum glory secondly what are you teaching me thirdly what is the next step and lastly father I love this father though you slay me yet I desire to trust you that indicates a work of grace that enables the believer to say God you are the potter I am the clay and by your grace I'm saying to you Lord no matter what happens I love you I trust you and I know that the end result will bring glory to you the advancement of your kingdom to which my heart is committed to see if any man lack wisdom let him ask of God I trust that these four questions will assist you now in your asking God for wisdom and what you're going through be still and be quiet and I trust that you'll learn in the midst of your trial to ask Jesus to keep your heart filled with faith faith in that God loves you he cares for you and that only your best interest is at hand well brothers and sisters we're going to stop there and I'd like if we could just to spend a few moments now in the quietness of God's presence and let's ask him now to take his word and speak to our hearts or just reaffirm what he has spoken to you let's just bow our hearts for a moment before or right as we began this message I indicated this was a prophetic word brothers and sisters I want to reiterate on that this is prophetic some have gone some are in and some shall be subject to very trying tests these words will become precious to you father we thank you for your Holy Spirit and your word and in these next few moments we ask that you would grant to us a visitation speak your word to us Lord make us to see you and do only what you can do in the depths of our heart let's listen to this song he's here confirming his word
