Worship and Lord's Table - Part 6
Bakht Singh

Bakht Singh Chabra (1903 - 2000). Indian evangelist, church planter, and Bible teacher born in Joiya, Punjab (now Pakistan), to a devout Sikh family. Educated at Punjab University, he studied agricultural engineering in England (1926-1928) and Canada (1929-1932), embracing a Western lifestyle, including smoking and drinking, while rejecting his Sikh roots by shaving his hair. Initially hostile to Christianity—once tearing a Bible apart—he converted in 1929 in Winnipeg after reading the New Testament, influenced by Christian friends John and Edith Hayward. Returning to India in 1933, he began preaching as an Anglican evangelist, later becoming independent, sparking the 1937 Martinpur revival, a pivotal movement in Indian Christianity. In 1941, after a night of prayer in Chennai, he founded Hebron Ministries, establishing over 10,000 indigenous churches modeled on New Testament principles across India and South Asia. Singh authored books like How I Got Joy Unspeakable and Full of Glory and held annual “Holy Convocations” in Madras, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Kalimpong, drawing thousands. Married to Rama Bai at age 12 in 1915, little is recorded of their personal life. His contextualized gospel, blending Indian spirituality with biblical truth, earned him the title “Elijah of the 21st Century” in Indian Christendom. Singh’s words, “I have never asked any man for anything, but the Lord is richly supplying all my needs,” reflect his faith-driven ministry. Despite Parkinson’s disease in his final decade, his legacy endures through Hebron’s global network and writings, praised by figures like Ravi Zacharias.

This cassette contains the table and worship message delivered by the Lord's servant, Brother Buxing on the worship service of 31st December 1977 at Ebron, Hyderabad. The message translated into Telugu language by Brother K.N.R.S. team. So I have received the Lord, I will give it unto you. God is here, the same night which you are betrayed, took bread. Verse twenty-four. On the same night, twenty-eight, twenty-six, twenty-eight, He made dharma on Himself, and He took bread and He took cup. In the best way, to begin a new year, as we are taught in this wonderful portion of God's word, by examining ourselves, by searching our hearts, by putting right God and man, and stand before God with a good conscience, we can be wise, holy, any guilty sin caused by any shameful deed. The testimony of the Lord's table has been ordained by Lord Jesus Christ to keep us ready for His glorious second appearing. The testimony of the Lord's table has been ordained by Lord Jesus Christ to keep us ready for His glorious second appearing. As we are taught in verse twenty-eight, twenty-six, as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, He does show the Lord that He will come. As often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, He does show the Lord that He will come. The testimony of the Lord's table has been ordained by Lord Jesus Christ to keep us ready for His glorious second appearing. A testimony to keep us unspotted, to keep us clean and pure in God's sight. And you will have to see our Lord Jesus Christ face to face, full glory, and by seeing Him, become like Him. And that will be a privilege to take our full share in the kingdom as a co-worker, as a king. But what we have already seen, unless we have everlasting life, we cannot be in the heavenly kingdom which is forever. There is a kingdom which will last forever. And we see it in Psalm 145 and verse thirteen. Psalm 145 and verse thirteen. Psalm 145 and verse thirteen. Thy kingdom is a lasting kingdom, and Thy dominion until so does all generations. All the earthly kingdom will one day pass away. Earthly kingdom will never pass away, going by Daniel 2nd chapter, verse 44. Daniel 2nd chapter and verse 44. Daniel 2nd chapter and verse 44. And the race of these kings, God of heaven, shall have a kingdom which shall not be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to the people, to break into pieces and consume all the kingdom, it shall be destroyed. This is copied, Daniel. He prophesied 550 BC. He prophesied for the rise and fall of great worldly kingdom. How so great and strong the kingdom may be, they pass away, and then it will pass away. The same prophet prophesied for a kingdom which will never pass away. And the Lord began to speak of the same kingdom when He gave the first message in Matthew 4.17. The Lord began to speak of the same kingdom when He gave the first message in Matthew 4.17. He said, the kingdom of heaven is near, so change shall take place. Luke 12.32 says, fear not a little one. Your father's good prayer to give you that kingdom. To pray for that kingdom, the Lord ordained the testimony at the Lord's table. Unless we have a good conscience and a pure heart and a clean hand, we can't be in that kingdom. All of us are allowed to be defiled by thoughts, words or deeds in that we are born again. And we can't be cleansed by our own effort, not by only confessing our sin or repentance. We need the efficacy of the flesh and blood to wash us, to cleanse us and to keep us clean, according to Hebrews 9.14. Hebrews 9.14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who to the eternal Spirit offered Himself, in our spot to God, spill your conscience and deliver us from the living God? For the very same reason, the Lord said to Mary, Easter morning, touch Me not. But I am not yet ascended. But go to my brethren. I ascend to my father, your father, to my God, your God. Paul in Matthew 20.8.9, a lot of other women touched him. 20.8.9 In the meantime, we have to touch Him. He ascended to heaven and came back. He ascended as the everlasting heavenly high priest on our behalf. To offer His own blood in the most holy place. It is there. And the blood contains everlasting life. Our blood contains physical life. His blood, everlasting life. Because I did no sin. Knew no sin. Perfectly holy. The same blood is now available in the most holy place, heaven, for all our defilements. And that purity can only be possible by the precious blood. Because day by day we can be washed. And Sunday by Sunday, by coming together as a church, we can be thoroughly washed, be fully prepared for Him. We might have come across many failures in the past year. Due to negligence or defilement. Or disobedience. All these defiling stains can be washed away by our Lord, by the blood. God will say, make the five ways. But it is out of pure heart only you see God. That means it is only by having pure heart, you can enjoy God's favour, see Him, and see His blessing. We want to enjoy God's blessing fully, for the whole year. The main secret is to keep our conscience pure, keep our conscience good, heart pure, head clean. Then we have more liberty in God's presence. We talk to Him and cast our burden upon Him. And thus for the whole year coming before us, we want to examine ourselves, search our heart, before we take part in the Lord's table. Scripture says, if we take part unworthily, we will be eating and drinking domination. This is not a ritual. Don't think because of a special meeting and watchman's service, the extra blessing never will come. But the opportunity be given to us by God, to examine ourselves, search our heart, put things right, then we will be ready for the whole year. Same dialogue being reminded, what a high purpose the Lord has in saving us. Last year, twice, same portion, this is due in a numerous army. Remember He says, remember, what a high price I am paying to redeem you, to be your saviour and to be your Lord. Remember, willingly, lovingly, as Paul testified, in the last portion, He loved me, son of God, He loved me and He gave Himself for me. He willingly gave Himself, to be our creator, He only said one word. And all the heavens were created by one word, going by Psalm 33, verse 6. To be our saviour, He attempted Himself. There is a second question. Chapter 8, verse 9. Second question. Chapter 8, verse 9. Autograph please. He knows the grace of Lord Jesus Christ. Though He was rich, in five years He became poor. His poverty might be reached. To be our saviour, He emptied Himself. He became poor. He already had. To make us rich, with His grace, for eternity. He has the same saying, we are reminded, you have come to me for one blessing, I want to give you all the blessings. Grace for eternity. Grace means undeserved love. Plus God's mercy, by way of eternity. And thus we can be prepared now, to receive from God's hand, all what He has prepared from eternity. By having a pure heart, good conscience, clean hands. At the same time, we are assured by the bread and the crumb. At the same time, we can retain that blessing, by eating Lord Jesus Christ, as spiritual bread and spiritual drink. It is by worldly attraction and worldly pleasure, worldly association, we are defiled and are disqualified for how many things. But if we by faith eat Lord Jesus Christ as spiritual bread and heavenly drink, that will take away hunger and thirst for worldly things, automatically. Only those who are hungry and thirsty, they go on licking the leaves to outside. I have seen after some wedding feast, so many leaves outside after finishing eating, there are few drops of curd, rasam and leftover on the leaf, not much. And some beggars come, they start licking those leftover stuff. Because they are hungry. Those who are fond of cinemas, and worldly pleasures, and worldly society, worldly parties, and worldly clothes, and worldly music, they can be compared with those beggars. Licking those leaves again and again, they cannot satisfy you. Here we testify, Lord Jesus Christ is my spiritual bread, spiritual drink, I eat Him everyday, many times, I am satisfied, doing all these filthy things. Similarly we are given inverse strength to conquer our temptation. By eating and drinking Him. Ephesians 3. Verse 16. He grants you according to this ritual of grace, glory, to be strengthened in might, by spirit and man, Christ may dwell in your heart by faith, and you be rooted and grounded in love. Psalm 16, verse 3. That's why we can testify together, Lord Jesus is my meat and my drink. And by eating Him, we are being deeply rooted and grounded into Him. Now we can face any storm of life, and come out fully victorious. That's how we have been shown in the last table, how in future, whole month, whole year round, we can be strengthened day by day, according to our needs. There are bound to be different trials, and afflictions, and suffering, and hardships, and they have to dwell upon the whole year. But Lord has made every person to become our bread and drink. By eating Him and drinking Him, we are being strengthened everyday. And we will live to be called a victorious victory. Romans 8 chapter, verse 37. Romans 8 chapter, and verse 37. In all these things, we are more than conquerors whom He loved us. Romans 8 chapter, verse 37. Let there be any difficulty. 35. Who shall separate us above Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Would all these we overcome by eating and drinking Lord Jesus Christ as a spiritual food and drink? And thus we have been shown a symbolic way. Whenever you are facing any temptation, and feel spiritually weak, eat Him, wait upon Him, and drink Him. Lord Jesus Christ, you are my meat, you are my drink. I feel hungry. I feel weak. I cannot face the temptation. I find that too much for me. Can you give me my own strength? That's how all year round we can be more than conquerors. And for that reason, we have a subversion time before we take part in the rite of passage. So all of us, who are truly born again, who are truly forgiven, looking for the seal of head to face, want to be ready for Him, simply be ashamed of. Take anything you want. Now we go to worship. So Carly, take your chair loudly. And briefly. Unless you worship loudly, we cannot take part. When you see your neighbor sleeping or snoring, don't be angry. Give a loving and gentle shake, they will wake up. It is not a sin to go to sleep, but a sin to get angry. So don't be angry when somebody shakes you up. But take your chair loudly. Or the Lord will keep you awake. But worship loudly.
