The preacher also references the story of Jesus turning water into wine in John chapter 2, highlighting the significance of Jesus' power to transform and bring joy. The sermon concludes with a reminder that in the presence of God, we can find both our lost and ruined condition and the perfect redemption through the seven drops of blood, symbolizing perfection.

John chapter 7, beginning at verse 14. Now about the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and fought. The Jews marveled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is not mine, but he that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself speaketh his own glory. But he that speaketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? The people answered and said, Thou hast the devil. Who goeth about to kill thee? Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel. Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision, not because it is of Moses, but of a father's. And ye on the Sabbath, they circumcise a man. If a man on the Sabbath, they receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken. Are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every day? Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he whom they seek to kill? But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ? Howbeit, we know this man whence he is, but whence Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is. Then cried Jesus in the temple, as he talked, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know which I am. And I am not from of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. But I know him, for I am from him, and he hath sent me. Then they sought to take him, but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done? The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests and officers should take him. Then said Jesus unto them, Get a little while, and I with you. And then I go unto him that sent me. Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me. And where I am, hither ye cannot come. Then said the Jew unto him, Will ye go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles? What manner of saying is this that he saith? Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me. And where I am, hither ye cannot come. On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirsts, let him come unto me and drink. He shall believe it on me. And the scripture hath said, Out of his belly, or out of his inner life, shall flow rivers of living water. That this may be of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive. For the Holy Ghost was not yet given, because the Jesus was not yet born. Many of the people, therefore, when they heard this, saw the truth. This is the prophet. Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? Hath not the scripture said that Christ cometh at the seat of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? So there was a division among the people, because they had taken him. But no man. Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said unto them, Never man. Then answered them the Pharisees, Are ye also deceived? Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him? But this people who know it, not the Lord. Nicodemus said unto them, Doth our law judge any man? They answered and said unto him, Search and look. For out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. And the hearing of this precious and holy word. Yesterday he sought to bring to our hearts unparalleled love of God and Savior. Of his own person, the more we are going to be. O we indeed long. We may seize on. We may grasp. We may grip. Some given doctrine of the glory of the person. They are as good. They are only as good as the person. This morning it is a joy to know something of the glory of the person of the Christ. And thus I can rightly appreciate the value of the forgiveness of sins. I can rightly appreciate the peace. The value of eternal security. Mine is lifted into more and more as I appreciate the glory that belongs to and is found in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ. And thus we seek to bring before our hearts something of the worthiness of the person of the Son of God. We readily confess how little we scratch the surface. We readily confess that we have barely touched the hymn of the gospel. We readily confess that we have barely went our feet in the great ocean of divine revelation. For he is the unspeakable gift of God. There are unsearchable depths to be plumbed. There are unreached heights yet to be ascended so far as the person of the Son of God. But mine, my heart just rejoices at the little more of the glory that is his own. That glory, fatal indeed in the human form, but nevertheless the apostle says we beheld his glory, the holy as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. And certainly that glory occasionally burst forth and was beheld by the eyes anointed to behold it. And oh, may the spirit of God anoint our eyes with heaven's eyes, Sam, and that this veil may be pulled aside completely and we behold something of the future. But then in the meeting, as a fellow child of God, you may be able to sing never so well, you may be able to pray never so fine, you may be able to speak with the best of rhetoric, but if you do not come to God with a proper appreciation of Christ, there is no approach to God. Why have I in myself, do I believe in scripture which says, once in the end of the world hath he appeared? No matter your achievements, your accomplishments, your development, your position, once in the end of the world, God has tried man down through the dispensations of time. He has given man every opportunity. He has given man every opportunity. The living God was wrong about man. His very filthy heart was to lay his heavy hands on the university graduates, I long to be of help and blessing to them. But we must get right. These truths are elsewhere. Irrespective of who you are, God saw your end at Calvary. We know the man told me to get back to the person of Christ and appreciate something of the glory that is resident in himself. And I'll assure you, to tell you and me closer to him. Oh, my friend, in the meeting, get a right perspective by the devotion of the penetration, the red rimming throughout the pages of the word of God. Come! Come unto me, all ye that labor in the heavens. Look unto me, all ye that live in the earth, and be as they. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord. Though your sins be astonished, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red like pimpkins, they shall be as wool. Here is one who did come. She came and she found and she went. Tell what you know. What do you know? Go on. See, a man, it all must be out in the open, you see. He's a perfect physician. He never puts a band-aid over his head. He gets it all out and he pours in the ointment. And my! She enjoyed the fact that he revealed to her all that she was in herself. But in the same way, they must be brought to God. And in the presence of God, they find all that they are, and their old, their lost and ruined condition. On the mercy seat and before him revealed everything was arranged. How beautiful to be able to do the will of him that sent me and to finish this work. If he who was God the Son, with a perfect will, a will that could never yield to the enemy in any sense of the word, if he yielded himself completely to his thoughts, submit your will, vow, in unconditional submission. O man, if this submission is seen in his stupidity, his self-admiration, his unparalleled love, this expression that we find in the seventh chapter, those who went to apprehend, to live the handcuffed service, they went to apprehend him. He apprehended never man. And indeed say that never man lived like his faith. Acts chapter 1 verse 1 says, The things which ye can to teach. You are able to speak with weight in the measure that you live a weighty life. So live. Thirty years under the eye of God, heaven opened. The Father's voice was heard, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well. This man who works as never another man worked. As far as his deeds are concerned, this man who died, being God, being the one who was from every last thing, could choose the family that he chose, but the Lord Jesus Christ. His confidence, the unexcelled humility, and yet, even great minds, come unto thee, all ye that labor, and their heavy labor. A restless world surging round about us, longing, yearning, for rest. To give any sum of money to lay down at night, and simply rest. And how many of them terminate their lives, before being brought to the point of death. The Lord Jesus in simple language, and yet, with such profoundness said to me, to you, to all, come unto me, all ye that labor. Neither be thou in, for they shall soon be cut down. So shall thou dwell in. Delight thyself also in the Lord. For what simplicity of seeing, as he spake these lovely words on that day, when he was being rejected, by the nation of Israel. And he could say, come unto me, all ye that labor. Not only the Jew, but the Gentile. Rather, in his Indian answer. My, what simplicity, and yet, what profoundness, is found in these words. You rejoice through sin to forgive, and yet, how much more that is for you, to lay hold of, who died, as none other could possibly. It's another life, for you to know. But with authority and power. Some people have authority, other people have power. Our Lord Jesus Christ, spake with both authority, and power. What he said, he could do it. Longing, to have his body made whole, like a living God, was still. Will thou be made whole? Sir, I have no. Rise. Take up thy bed. Walk. Do. Authority. Take up the thin metal. You become conqueror over that which is. And never make provision. All, and again, that occasion, when he said, go thy way. But he could speak the word. Then thirdly, thirdly, reality and performance, is seen likewise. So, if God so loved us, we are all so. So, thus, beloved one, reality and performance, yes. He said, go wash in the pool of Siloam. He went, washed, lest he come bigoted. Go wash. He came seeing. I was washing. This one thing I know, that whereas I washed, those symbols of something, their case region had been spoiled by it. Old wine, threw out in charity to the governor. I, as I, any of you, my adultery, it is he, that that wine, really tastes like. His favorite salinity. We've been hearing all these. There were gracious words falling from his lips. Jewels. The name will cry, Lord, Lord, open to us. Oh, what salinity. Then shall he say, to those on his left hand, depart from me, into everlasting fire. I pray not for the world. It seems a world of great need around us. Thou shalt break them into all of mine. Thou shalt dash them in pieces. Why does he pray for the world? Pray for those who are coming up to take over the control of our nation. Pray for truth, kid. Pray for the others. That God may control in the affairs of men. As Judas Iscariot, may we adore him. And all.
