Why Study the Seals, Trumpets, and Bowls
Mike Bickle

Mike Bickle (1955 - ). American evangelical pastor, author, and founder of the International House of Prayer (IHOPKC), born in Kansas City, Missouri. Converted at 15 after hearing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach at a 1970 Fellowship of Christian Athletes conference, he pastored several St. Louis churches before founding Kansas City Fellowship in 1982, later Metro Christian Fellowship. In 1999, he launched IHOPKC, pioneering 24/7 prayer and worship, growing to 2,500 staff and including a Bible college until its closure in 2024. Bickle authored books like Passion for Jesus (1994), emphasizing intimacy with God, eschatology, and Israel’s spiritual role. Associated with the Kansas City Prophets in the 1980s, he briefly aligned with John Wimber’s Vineyard movement until 1996. Married to Diane since 1973, they have two sons. His teachings, broadcast globally, focused on prayer and prophecy but faced criticism for controversial prophetic claims. In 2023, Bickle was dismissed from IHOPKC following allegations of misconduct, leading to his withdrawal from public ministry. His influence persists through archived sermons despite ongoing debates about his legacy

Sermon Summary
Mike Bickle emphasizes the significance of studying the seals, trumpets, and bowls in the book of Revelation, which represent God's judgments against the kingdom of darkness during the great tribulation. He explains that these judgments are not meant for the church but are released through the church's unified prayers, revealing the glory and character of Jesus. Bickle encourages believers to understand these events as they will lead to a greater adoration of Christ and prepare the church for the end times, ultimately resulting in a massive harvest of souls. He stresses that these judgments are redemptive, aimed at removing obstacles to love and ushering in a new beginning for humanity.
Sermon Transcription
I ask you in the name of Jesus to release living understanding tonight. Lord, I ask you for living understanding, the spirit of wisdom and revelation. We thank you in Jesus' name, amen. Well, we're beginning a 12-part series on the seals, the trumpets, and the bowls, which are the three judgment series in the book of Revelation. There's three judgment series, each of them are numbered, and there's seven in each one. There's the seven seals, the seven trumpets, and the seven bowls, or the bowls of wrath. They describe 21 judgment events that are going to be released against the kingdom of darkness during the great tribulation. So the seals, the trumpets, and the bowls, they are judgments against the kingdom of darkness. They're not against the church. The church does not look at those judgments and say, oh no, I hope we get raptured. The church releases those judgments by global, unified prayers of faith together. Paragraph B, Revelation 1-1. You can't quote this verse too many times when you approach the book of Revelation. The book of Revelation is called the revelation, or the unveiling of Jesus. The word revelation means unveiling. It's the showing of His majesty. It's the showing and the revealing of His heart, His leadership, His glory. The point is this, when we study the seven seals, the seven trumpets, the seven bowls of wrath, these 21 judgment events, they actually are meant to show us the glory of Jesus. The judgments of God are not contrary to His character. It's not like His forgiveness is the thing that we tell people, but His judgments are the things we kind of hide, you know, sweep under the carpet, or put it away because we're a little embarrassed by them. That how could a God of love have judgments? It's because we don't understand the judgments, and that's one reason we want to study them. But the point I'm making here, they reveal the glory of Jesus. His judgments do. It's not a dark part of His character that He reluctantly, but finally gives in and reluctantly makes known that He is, in fact, a God of judgment. No. It's His glory. His judgment is an expression of His love because His judgments are removing everything that hinders love. That's what the judgments are about. So when you read the book of Revelation with the right perspective, you're reading about events, but the events lead you back to the glory of a man. So it's the man behind the plan that we are enthralled with. Yes, I want to know the plan, but there's something bigger than the plan and being involved in the plan. I want to be involved in God's end time plan, His transitional plan to change the planet and lead it to the age to come. He has a very specific transitional plan, and I want to know the plan, and I want to be involved in the plan, but there's something bigger than the plan. It's the man behind it. It's the man that is leading it. It's the man that thought it through and established it. And so when we study His judgments as well as the glory, the revival dimension as well, it causes us to adore Jesus if we read the book right. It causes us to trust His leadership. So we want to read the book if we want to grow in adoration and confidence in His leadership. Paragraph C. These events are so significant. These 21 events, but I mean the whole of all the events of the book of Revelation, but in this series we're focusing on the 21 judgment events. These are not just kind of strange kind of oddities that we don't know what to do with. These are glorious, historical, earth-changing events that will change the course of the planet. And they're very significant, and they're very real. And the reason I'm saying that, paragraph D, is that we need to teach on these judgments often. We need to meditate on them more because until we get familiar with them, the fog of unbelief doesn't lift. When most believers read these judgments, they have what I'll call a fog of unbelief. It's like the judgments are surreal. They don't seem real. They don't seem relevant. They seem so remote in distance. People can't relate to them at all, usually. I've heard that through the years, and I understand that. I've experienced that many times myself, particularly as I first began to study it, the book of Revelation. But when I became more familiar, and I came more familiar with the book in the general sense, and these judgments as we're focusing on this particular 12-session class, the fog began to lift. And they became more than just strange oddities that didn't really make sense that I could relate to. And I began to see them as very significant future events that will, the future of the planet and the human race is in the balance of these events. Many people will meet the Lord because of them, and many people will reject the Lord in the wake of them. The destiny of many lives are in the balance of these events. But as long as they're unfamiliar, they just are always kind of like a mist and a fog on your mind. And so you don't want to apologize for studying them and get to know them because you need to get familiar with them before you can have clarity about them. And we want clarity about these events. I mean, in a very, very limited way. Imagine if we understood that the events that happened at 9-1-1 were going to happen a month ahead of time. Well, beloved, these 21 events are so far more dramatic and earth-changing and earth-shattering than what happened at 9-1-1. And we know about them years ahead of time. We really do want to understand them. I'm guessing that most of you have never heard a series or maybe even a teaching on these 21 judgment events. That's very common today, but many of you are forerunners and you don't want that to be said about your ministry years from now, that you never, ever taught about them and the people that you are responsible to strengthen in the Lord in your ministry, whether you have a public ministry or a one-on-one group Bible study type ministry, whatever. You want to give them insight into these 21 events. Paragraph E, the primary theme of the book of Revelation is Jesus coming back to earth. That's the primary theme. He's coming back, but very important to that theme is he's going to come back in context to judging the Antichrist in these 21 events and the kingdom of darkness. Paragraph F, just by way of review, those of you who've been around, you've heard this a bit. For those of you that are new with us, it's important to understand paragraph F, the book of Revelation, I refer to it as the end-time book of Acts. That as the book of Acts was a record of the acts of the Holy Spirit through the early apostles, so the book of Revelation is the acts of the Holy Spirit through the end-time apostles. It's the acts of the Holy Spirit is what the book of Revelation is about. They're just recorded in the Bible ahead of time. It's the book of Acts in advance for the end-time church. And in the way that Moses prayed and released judgment on Pharaoh in Egypt. In the same way, the end-time church is going to pray and release judgment on the end-time Pharaoh. Because as the Pharaoh was in Moses's day over one country, there's an end-time Pharaoh. His name is, his title is the Antichrist. It's what the Bible calls him. And it won't be Moses, a single person. It will be a collective prayer movement from the nations functioning as a corporate Moses. The book of Revelation is a canonized prayer manual. Canonized simply means it's in the Bible. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are canonized. They're in the canon of scripture. It just means they're inspired. They're in the written word of God. We have a prayer manual that's written in the word of God. It's infallible and we can all trust it. And it's going to unify the end-time prayer movement. Because once the church gets a hold of how valuable this book is, it's not just a kind of intriguing book about strange events. It's actually a very practical prayer manual that will unify the saints in the whole world. The saints in Asia and Africa and Europe and South America and North America. We will all be praying in the same focus at the same time following the same prayer manual when these events begin to break forth. Paragraph H, just so that you see this, is that there's many verses. I could, there's quite a list actually of the passages. We have it on the website by the way. The prayer ministry in the book of Revelation. We have a document on the website, a new one up there, where we put a whole bunch of verses that describe the end-time prayer ministry. But here's one in Revelation 8. And the reason I'm mentioning this, because these 21 judgment events are loosed by or released by the praying church. And how can we release them except we understand them with confidence and faith? How could Moses have released the 10 plagues of Egypt, on Egypt, except he understood what he was to release? Because the Lord will only release them through the prayers of the saints. Revelation chapter 8, verse 4, for the prayers of the saints ascended before God. Then the angel took the censer that had the angels incense and the prayers of the saints there together in this censer, which is a big bowl. He filled the censer with fire and threw it to the earth. In other words, when the prayers of the saints ascended, the fire of God, when the prayers ascended, the fire of God descended. The prayers of the saints will release the fire of God against the enemy. Now we all know that the Psalm 149, let the high praises of God be in their mouth. This is a, this is a end-time passage, by the way. Psalm 149, it's been valid throughout church history. But this psalm is particularly abound in its greatest application about the final years before the coming of the Lord. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth. Verse 7, what will they do when they praise? They will execute vengeance on nations. Their prayers will release vengeance. The word vengeance is the same word as justice. They will pray and it will, God will release justice on nations or vengeance or judgment. Those are all the same concept. Verse 9 says it really clear. But the high praises of God will execute on the nations the written judgments. Now this is the honor that all the saints have. All the saints have this honor to worship and pray and release the written judgments. Now the judgments are written in the Old and New Testament. The Old Testament prophets have quite a bit to say that's written in the Bible about the end-time judgments. But there's no place that gives greater detail to the written judgments as the book of Revelation. The fact that they're written is what unifies us when we pray them. If a prophet stood up and said I had an open vision and we're supposed to pray judgment on this part of the earth, maybe a certain, I mean a certain number of people would undoubtedly agree and be in unity. But these are the written judgments. These are the ones that are in the Bible. They're infallible. They're inspired. They're sure to come to pass. And so the prayer movement through worship will release the written judgments and there's no place that the written judgments are given greater detail than in the book of Revelation and it's these 21 judgment events. Top of page two. Understanding the three-number judgment series. Now the reason we call it the three-number judgment series, that's a term that is used by many theologians and commentators who write on the book of Revelation because it's three judgment series. It's the seal judgments, that's one series. The trumpet judgments, that's the second series. And the bowl judgments, that's the third. There's three judgment series and the thing that makes these judgment series unique, they're numbered. Because there's judgment series in the Old Testament but they're not numbered. So they're numbered so we would actually know the order in which they happen so we would pray in unity according to the order. As they happen one by one, we know what the next one is because it's the next number. And so the the fact that they're numbered is very significant. There again there's several judgment series that are in the Old Testament that are describing the end time judgments. But we don't know what order they come in per se, but these are absolutely crystal clear. There's no guesswork. It was a great gift of God that that the angel gave John the numbers. They were meant to be understood that they would happen in the order they would occur on the earth in the order of which their number is. Okay, let's understanding these three judgment series. A, they're literal events. Don't let anybody explain them away as symbolic or historical, meaning they already happened like in the Middle Ages sometime. Now to most of you, you'd say, well who would do that? But there's a lot of commentators, particularly modern ones, who because the book of Revelation is a bit of a burden, the idea that it's literally going to happen that they said now let's let's just dismiss that concept. Well the only way you can dismiss the idea that it's going to happen is make these symbolic. They're symbolic events of judgments that happened in the past. Don't go there. That's not what the spirit is saying about these events. They are literal events. Paragraph B, they are future events. They have not happened yet. All 21 of these events, they are yet future. C, they are numbered. We know the chronological order in which they will occur on the earth. And again, the reason for the numbering is so that the saints in Asia and the saints in Africa and Europe, we would all know where we are in the storyline and we would all know what we are to agree on as the next prayer. Because as the fourth trumpet happens, everybody knows what comes after four, five. The fifth trumpet is next. And when the fifth trumpet happens, everybody knows what is going to happen. Let me just quiz you. What happens after the fifth trumpet? There you have it, instantly. And they'll know that all over the world because in every nation, six comes after five. And as simple as that is, people have not taken this to heart. I've had people ask, why are they numbered? I go, they're numbered so we would know the number. It's that simple. To unify us and it will build momentum. So after the fifth trumpet, you know, the saints are going, oh my goodness, all the seals happened in order. The first four trumpets happened in order. The fifth one just happened. The sixth one's next. And then in just a short amount of time, the seventh trumpet, where we're raptured and caught up to meet the Lord in the air. I mean, can you imagine after the sixth trumpet? After seven seals happened in order, six trumpets happened. There was no guesswork, perfect precision, unity across the body of Christ. By now, everybody that is doubting, they're now on board. Eleven in a row. Seven, no, that's 13, isn't it? Seven plus six. Can you imagine after the sixth trumpet? We're in the prayer room praying, Lord, the sixth trumpet. And then it happens. And the news report fills the earth, the events of the sixth trumpet, which are devastating. Then we kind of go, okay, oh my goodness. Do you know what is next? If there's any doubt, the children's church will say, it's the seventh trumpet, mom and dad, it's next. Seriously, they'll say, we got it. We've had this for years. It will be, can you imagine what you will be thinking or doing if you're alive at that time? Of course you can imagine. You will be in a prayer room with other people saying, come Lord Jesus, come Lord Jesus, come Lord Jesus. The momentum will build. Now these don't begin until the great tribulation starts. But what happens with these judgment series, these three judgment series, what happens in fullness then happens in part now. So we study it not just for that day. We study it mostly for that day, but it has a very significant relevance for today, even ahead of time, because what happens in fullness then will happen in part now. We study these 21 events and the fog needs to lift and it won't lift if we're just unfamiliar with them. Now I'm not saying this to pressure you or make you feel bad, but I want to say this, every one of you needs to know by memory what these 21 events are. I mean, these are the most dramatic events in human history that are yet to come and they're going to be released through your prayers. You really want to know these 21 events, not, I'm not pressuring you, we're not going to have a quiz tomorrow, it's not that kind of deal. But you, you need to determine in your heart, you're going to say, you know, if they're that big and they shift natural history to the age to come, lead to the second coming of Christ, and I am going to pray them in faith, you know what? I'm going to learn them. And it's not just for that hour, because what happens in fullness then happens in part now, good and bad. Like the full glory of the power of God that happens related to Jesus coming, what all the events of the glory that happens will happen in part now. So we are believing for the glory and we're also believing for the confrontation against evil by the power of God, the judgments of God. Because the judgments of God, the book of Revelation are talking about, are confronting oppression, persistent resistance to God's Word. It's not just kind of confused people coming under judgment, it's the knowing, persistent resistors of God's will. And so it matters that we know now, because there's an application in part now, because Jesus never changes. We know what he will do in fullness because he never changes. We know what he's capable of doing now in part. We know what's in his heart. And that's why we need to know these events. Paragraph D, the three judgment series, they're redemptive. They're redemptive. They're not just God, it's not just God getting something off his chest. He has a very specific purposes for good he's accomplishing with them. We don't need to be ashamed of his judgments. I hear people through the years when they talk about the Lord's judgments, they're almost always, they pause, give three qualifiers, a couple hiccups, and their voice kind of mutters into a little bit of whisper. Well, we got the judgment of God. It's not like I'm really in the judgment of God, but the Lord told me he's going to judge. Like, no, well, what did you say? Well, revival's coming. Yeah, I heard that part. What was the other part? Well, I know I'm not really a judgment guy, but you know, I mean, he made me say it, but it's going to happen. We don't need to apologize for Jesus as though he has a dark side in his character. They are redemptive. They are, meaning they will produce good in the lives of people and for the planet and for the nations. They are good. That's the point I'm trying to make. They will cause many to cry out for salvation. They will stop the persecution. They will hinder initially and then stop the persecution of the saints. They will destroy the evil governments. I'm talking about the governments that have set their heart against God and against his truth. The book of Revelation is not a doomsday prophecy about the world coming to the end, coming to an end, because the world will never come to an end. The end of the age will come, but the age is the way the world is governed. The world will never come to an end. The world will continue forever. It'll get cleansed with fire and renovated. We don't believe in the end of the world. We believe in the end of the age, because the end of the age, the age is how the world is governed. Right now, it's governed with a significant demonic influence. In the age to come, there will be no demonic influence in the government of the nations. But it's not a doomsday prophecy about the end of the world. It's a prophecy about a new beginning of the world. The book of Revelation is a new beginning prophecy, not the end of the world prophecy. The birth of a baby is truly the end of a pregnancy, but it's the beginning of a new life. You don't, you know, when a woman has a baby, you don't say, wow, the end of the pregnancy has finally come. Well, maybe a few of you said, boy, the end of the pregnancy has finally come. I could imagine maybe a few people saying that, but mostly you think about, let us see the little baby. Can we see the new beginning? And that's what's happening. The great tribulation is the birth canal. It's the birth process of human history. We're coming to the end of the dark night of Satan's oppression, and we're coming to the dawning of a new day, and the birth canal is dynamically related to these 21 judgments. We are forerunners and intercessors, our eschatological midwives, so to speak. We are involved in the birthing process of a whole new order on the earth, the righteous new order. I mean, honestly, the intercessors, that's why it's constant, and there's many times, places in the Bible, four or five main ones where it describes the intercession at the end of the age I'm talking about. Isaiah 66 is a famous one, verse 6 and 7 and 8, but there's quite a few of them, there's four or five of them, where the intercessory end time movement is likened to the pregnancy, the birthing process, because the intercessors are in travail, crying out, releasing the 21 judgments that are critical part of the birth canal of human history. So intercessors are midwives, they're eschatological midwives. Eschatological just means end times. Paragraph E, the judgment series are progressive, meaning they, like a birth process, they increase in intensity. There's the beginning of the birth pangs. I believe that's the time of history we're in right now. Then there's the increased labor, and then there's the heavy labor. The heavy labor is these 21 events. We're not in the heavy labor, but the point of it is, these three judgment series, they intensify. They are progressive in their intensity. The seven seals are surpassed in intensity and severity by the seven trumpets. When the seven seals happen, unbelievers say, oh my, are we glad that's over. No, no, the birth process will intensify. Then the seven trumpets, like, oh, we're glad that's over. No, there's seven bowls of wrath following that. It truly is a birth process for the earth. For instance, an example of the intensity that increases. In the seals, one-fourth of the earth dies. I have that on the notes there in paragraph E. But in the trumpets, one-third, there's a greater number. There's another wave of death that comes over the earth. I mean, when one-fourth of the earth dies, the nations will think it could not possibly be worse. There's another wave, more severe coming. Another wave of death. In terms of the progressive nature of the judgment series, number one, the seals alert us. The trumpets warn us and the bowls are fullness. Let's break that down for just a moment. The seals, they alert us that something is coming. They speak of preparation. For instance, the analogy that I'm using is the wrapping of a gift. When somebody gives you a gift and it's wrapped, it's obvious the wrapping is not the big part. It's the very wrapping is pointing to something on the inside of the gift. There's contents that are hidden, that are private, that are, you're to anticipate having those contents, you to take the wrapping off in anticipation of something heavy. I mean, something interesting on the inside is the point. The natures of this, the nature of a seal, a sealed envelope, a wrapped gift, a package that's sealed is that there's hidden contents that are yet to follow. So the seals tell us something more is coming. Now those of us that are studying the scripture, we say the seven seals, that's all, that's just the beginning. They are telling us they're only the wrapping on the gift. And believe it or not, the 21 judgment series are a gift of God to the human race and to the planet. Because it's what, those are the events that God has determined in his love and in his wisdom to drive evil off the planet. It's actually a gift of God. And on the front end, because we have unrenewed minds, we go, oh no. But when all the saints are around the throne and all the 21 events are over, they're saying, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. I don't want to wait till then to have a spirit of understanding and gratitude for what God's doing. I don't want to say, go away, go away, go away, Jesus. And then when I finally meet him face to face, go, thank you for doing it. He says, well, that seems a little double-minded. I want to, by a spirit of faith, because of the written word of God, I want to begin to enter into now the understanding of the goodness and the necessity of these judgment events to drive evil off the planet and to help purify the church and to bring the lost in, to win the lost. So the seals, they alert us. The trumpets, they warn us. The trumpets tell us more is coming. Numbers 10 tells us the trumpets are warning. So after the seals, the seals say, if you, if you know anything about a sealed document, you know, there's more coming. The trumpets, if you know anything about the trumpet ministry, it's warning that something more severe is yet coming. And the bowls, there's nothing that delays them and nothing that hinders them. If you have a big bowl and you pour it out, the whole contents is on the, if someone poured a big bowl of water on you, it'd be on you instantaneously. It's rapid succession. When the bowl is poured out, there's nothing hindering it. So imagine a big 10 foot bowl, you know, and a couple of guys are pouring it on you. It's instantaneously, you're drenched, is the idea. There's nothing to hinder it. There's nothing to delay it. That's what the bowls speak of. So these are appropriately titled by God, these judgment series. Top of page three. The structure of these three judgment series are paragraph A, they have the similar structure. And the structure actually is important to know. It may not seem it just today, but as you get into it, you'll understand this structure is critical to understand the structure. The first four events, you know, each series has seven events. The first four belong together. The first four events, they are clustered. They are like each other. They're parallel events. They're of the same nature, the same categories. The next two events, event five and six of the seals, trumpets, and bowls, they're very different than the four. And then the final one stands alone. It's unique in its own right. So the four go together. Seal one, two, three, four, or treble one, two, three, four, or bowl one, two, three, four. They are clustered together, those four of each of the series. Then the next two go together, and then the final one stands alone. And the reason you need to know that, because they give us insight. And we'll look at this throughout the series. That understanding, that clear pattern gives us insight on how to interpret these judgment events with greater clarity. Paragraph C, the gap as the judgments unfold, as they happen, the gap between them decreases, and their duration of the judgment decreases as well. What do I mean by that? The seals, they cover years. That's the last three and a half years. The seals cover years, the trumpets cover months, and the bowls cover days, or happen over days. Years, months, and days. So the gap between the events, as the seals unfold, and the trumpets, and the bowls, the gap between the judgment events decreases, just like a birthing process. The birthing process is, the gap between them gets smaller, and they, and they become more frequent. And their duration of the judgment is smaller too. Okay, the purpose of the three judgment series. Number one purpose, and they're all top priorities, is for the, is to judge the Antichrist. These 21 judgment series are not judgments on the church, but they're judgments released by the praying church. They will destroy the resources of the Antichrist empire, and the harlot Babylon. But not only will they destroy the Antichrist resources, they will discredit him. Because the Antichrist will present himself as God, as the man with all the answers, and all the power. But there will be judgments coming to the earth that he cannot solve. They will actually discredit him before the nations. And people will begin to wonder, because millions, I mean hundreds of millions, will be in the balance. Hundreds of millions. I mean, many will be saved, many will take the mark of the beast, but hundreds of millions will still be in the balance. And they will say, now wait, we thought this guy had all the answers. We thought this guy could do no wrong. We thought he could not fail. His kingdom is being devastated by a superior power. What's going on? So the judgments destroy the Antichrist resources. Again, the judgments aren't on the righteous. That's where people get confused when they read the book of Revelation, and they're a little bit embarrassed by the book of Revelation, because the kind of the stereotype, or they're thinking, my judgment of God, that means God isn't loving, and that means we're in trouble. Well, I know God's loving, and I don't think that we're going to come under his judgment, so let's just get rid of the book of Revelation. Better than get rid of the book of Revelation is to interpret it accurately. That's the better option. And I want to say that in humility, because I don't have a meaning. I'm not saying that as kind of putting down other people. I don't want to have that spirit at all. And I'm not saying that I understand. I just understand the beginning of the beginning of the book. I'll just say it that way. I understand the beginning of the beginning, the broad strokes of it. And some of that I don't have clear. But as the next couple decades unfold, I believe we're going to get great understanding. I'm talking about the body of Christ, the praying church across the nations. But we can't just dismiss it because the book of Revelation doesn't fit our paradigm. What we do is we search out God. What is the answer to this book that is called the glory of the revelation of Jesus? We can't dismiss a book that God titles the revelation of Jesus. It's just too big. It's too glorious. The book is too dear to God to dismiss it. Or to write it off is all symbolic. It was all symbolic. It wouldn't have the unique title being called the unveiling of Jesus to the nations, which is the revelation of Jesus, the very first verse of the book. The second purpose is to win the harvest. And the harvest will be won in a great, an accelerated way in the time of the great tribulation. There'll be a dynamic acceleration. There'll be more people saved in that three and a half years than, I don't know what, than what, than any other time. How's that? That will be an accelerated time of evangelism beyond any time of history that we could imagine. One of the ways that the evangelism is going to happen, because you're going to be prophesying to your neighbors. You're going to be prophesying what the fourth seal is. And when it happens, when the sun is diminished, they go, how did you know the sun was going to be diminished? After the third trumpet, you're going to say, hey, the sun's going to be diminished in the fourth. That's the next big event. And the guy will go, what? What do you mean the sun diminished? A third of the light's not going to shine. How do you know that? Well, it's in the Bible. Well, I'm not a Bible guy. And then all of a sudden, one third of the light sun is diminished, the light of the sun. And then your neighbor knocks on the door and says, where are you getting this information at? It will be a powerful source of evangelism because you will have accurate information about the future of the planet. And you'll have accurate information about the crisis that's disturbing the whole world. And it will be accurate. It'll be no guesswork. That by itself will be a source of evangelism for some. Others, the judgments will knock away the props that they're leaning on and trusting on. They're trusting in their money. They're trusting in their accomplishments and their identity. Many of their props will be knocked away, and they won't have anything to lean on. And they'll begin to ask deeper questions about their life and about God. And another very severe, these are all more on the negative side because there's going to be a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit as well, but I'm talking about the judgment events will have this impact. There'll be an outpouring of the Spirit that will have an impact as well. The mass number of deaths, the hundreds of millions, it will reach billions. There will be three to four billion people die in a three and a half year period. Three to four billion. Beloved, three to four billion, not a hundred million, three to four billion. That there'll be so much death going on in the earth, there'll still be three or four billion that don't die. So there'll be a lot of people talking about this. I mean, it's not like the whole earth is dead, but the numbers will be so dramatic that it will cause multitudes to reflect deeply about eternity and about death. It's like when people go to a funeral, some of them for a minute, they're going, huh, what about me? They reflect for just a moment or two. Well, there will be a dirge going forth across the earth, and the earth will be in a funeral process. And they'll be asking deep questions about eternity. And so these judgments will actually be used to accelerate evangelism along with the great outpouring of the revival and the prophetic preaching and the signs and wonders. That will also help as well, very dramatically. They'll work together. Notice in Revelation 7 that the great multitude, the number of people that get saved from all the nations happens during the great tribulation. You know, we're believing, you know, some guys are saying, you know, any time now, next year, five or ten, every nation, every nation will have the gospel preached to them. And that's exciting. I actually believe that. That's exciting. But we want more than every nation having the gospel preached to them. I mean, that is so exciting. I don't want to in any way minimize the glory of that fact. And some of the missions agencies are saying that within 10 or 20 years, many are saying 10, every single nation of the earth will have the gospel preached. But there's something more than we want than the gospel preached. We want a harvest of radical believers in all those, not just the gospel preached, but actually a harvest of radical uncompromising believers, people that will stand true even to death. And that's going to happen. But it will happen in the context of the great outpouring and the great judgments working together. In the Song of Solomon language, the north wind and the south wind will blow together at full strength, and the garden of God will come forth for the Song of Solomon people. That's going to happen on a global level. But notice there will be a harvest from all nations and all tribes. Every single people group of the earth, in every social and economic status and context, there will be a uncompromising harvest of radical believers. The affluent nations and the poor nations, the ones that have everything, the ones that have nothing, the ones that are educated, the ones that are not educated, every tribe will have a revival people that are uncompromising even unto death. So the power of the great harvest that's coming of the great revival will be sufficient that every single type of human condition, there will be a people that will be saved, but it will be in context to these judgments. So I want the gospel preached in every nation, but I want more. I want a uncompromising radical group of believers in every nation, and the Lord says that will happen, but it will happen in context of these 21 judgment events. Paragraph C, we've already covered it. The purpose of these judgments, of knowing them, why we're going to study them, why we need to, to give direction to our prayers in that hour. And again, what happens in fullness in that hour will happen in part now. Whatever, whatever those 21 events declare, we know what Jesus is capable of and what he's actually resolved to do. It's not just he's capable of it, he's resolved to do them in fullness. We know he will do part of these things against the oppression of the nations. Wherever there's wicked oppression, that's the context of which these judgments are released. So we study them to find direction for the prayer movement. Paragraph D, these judgments are a vindication of the saints. We know that victory is assured. After many saints die, and most of the saints will not be martyred, it will be millions and millions, but there will be a billion new converts plus. It will be tens of millions of saints killed, but hundreds of millions won't be killed. And maybe hundreds of millions will, but hundreds of millions won't. We just don't know the numbers, but we know the numbers are great on both sides of saints who are martyred and saints who are not martyred. But it, I don't believe the majority will be martyred, but it will be a substantial number. And, but the Lord, when we know these, see these judgments mount up in intensity, the Lord saying victory is assured. I will confront the oppressor in an increasingly direct way through your prayers. And these, the very knowledge of these 21 events will give us courage. The people under the scourge of Nazi Germany, if they knew it was just a few months out and there was a mounting force coming to destroy Hitler and his Nazi regime, it would give them courage. Now that was happening just in the human sense of the allied armies, but whoever could get knowledge of that, they would have courage. It's, there's a mounting resistance to the oppressor. And so the knowledge of these 21 events is significant to the church, the persecuted church. Paragraph E, these 21 events help prepare the church in understanding. So we have confidence because we know what's coming next and we know why it's coming. But if we're completely unfamiliar, we don't have the advantage of the confidence of knowing what's coming and why it's coming. But knowing the what and the why, that gives us confidence and boldness in love in that hour. Because the nations, it says in Luke 21, Jesus prophesied they'll be dying, that men's hearts will faint for fear. Meaning not just being overwhelmed for sure, overwhelmed, but there'll be people just dying of heart attacks from fear. Actually their hearts will literally faint as well as overwhelmed in the other sense. But the saints, we will have understanding because we took hold of the plan and we understand it. Though many will look at you and say you're fanatical or you're this or that and the other, you don't need to be intimidated because understanding this plan will be life to those that you love. Even some that criticize you today. If you're alive in the hour of which this happens, I tell you they were really carrying on about Noah. He was building this boat for 120 years. Man that guy was the boat. But when it started to rain, there was nothing wiser in the earth than the guy who built that boat. The boat makes no sense till the rain starts. This understanding, although it prepares us now for again events that are happening in part, because that which will happen in fullness in that hour will happen in part now, but it will make great sense and the people that might even resist you now. They'll say, hey can I get on the boat? Like what's happening? Hey you studied this stuff. What's going on? And it will really truly be an issue of life and death for many people to have understanding. Top of page four. We'll just end with page four because the other couple pages are just kind of a reference for you. God gave us four chapters. The three judgment series are found in those four chapters of strategic information about the most severe crisis in history. These four chapters are so strategic. This information concerns our personal welfare of our families, friends, our cities that we love. It will be a matter of life and death to have understanding. The analogy, the very obvious analogy is the weather service. A great tsunami is coming. The one in Southeast Asia that killed 300,000 people because nobody knew the tsunami was coming. They found out just way too late and they didn't have the communication systems to the majority who didn't have the information. We need, but if you have the information ahead of time, things happen very different in your life. The same with the military analogy. The military leaders, if they know military information and they don't use it, they are responsible for the crisis that happens. If they ignore the information and there's a great disaster, they are, they are personally responsible to the courts even, to the military courts. Very, very serious. In the same way, the prophetic leaders of the body of Christ, the forerunners and others as well, they are responsible to not back away in intimidation and spirit of rejection and, well, people kind of roll their eyes at me. Who cares? Keep building the boat. A storm is coming. Yeah, but they think I'm a little bit strange. So, they're not the one evaluating you on the last day Jesus is. If they get to vote where you're going, they get to vote about your life, where you're going at the judgment seat, then listen to them. If they don't get to vote, then you don't have to yield to intimidation. I mean, I just, I just can't imagine, I mean, Noah building the boat. In Hebrews 11 verse 7, it says, he was warned by God that a storm was coming. He built the boat because of the fear of God, because the rain was coming. Now, those of you that know the story of Moses, it had never rained before. The water, the earth was watered from beneath. The water came up from the ground. It never came from the sky, ever. Not once. That was the first time ever. So, Noah's building this boat. There's no such thing as a boat in those days. It's the first boat ever built. They go, what are you doing building a boat? Why? It's going to rain. What's rain? You know, the water that comes from the ground can come from the sky. They go, everybody knows water can't come from the sky. It's never happened before. It's scientifically not proved. It's not possible. Well, God told me. I mean, I always think just the bizarreness of Noah's sons, their daughters, keep going, the in-laws. What's that boy you buried doing? Is he still helping his dad with the boat or whatever they call it? I mean, imagine the human dynamics involved in this. Well, Jesus said, the end of the age would be like the days of Noah. There's so many parallels. Don't overly concern with who says it, who says to you, rolls her eyes. Dance to another set of music, the sounds of heaven. Don't take your read from who's happy with you right here. Get locked into the word of God in the eyes of Jesus. Because beloved, you can really go far, sustain a life of obedience when you are locked into the fact the eyes of Jesus are on you. You got the written word and you got the eyes of Jesus on you. You got the Holy Spirit stirring you and you got a community of people. God's raising up all over the earth that are in agreement. Stay steady. Don't be so insecure and intimidated so easily. History is about to change to the age to come and God's going to do it through His prophetic people who agree with Him. Look what He tells the watchman. He says in Ezekiel 33, the watchman sees the sword, doesn't blow the trumpet. The people are not warned. The people die anyway. I'm going to require the blood of the watchman's hands. If we know the sword is coming against the oppressor and we do not speak and give warning even to the oppressor, because God requires a warning is given to all, even to His enemies, He warns them faithfully. It's part of His justice. God treats the devil in perfect justice. Everything God does, even to the devil is in perfect justice and truth. He even tells the devil what's happening as a statement ahead of time. Well, we need to blow the, we got to blow the trumpet, but we've got to learn the trumpet before we can blow the trumpet. We have to, we have to learn the message. Paragraph six, I mean Roman numeral six. It's coming to the end of this page. We'll end with this, these three things, the three responses of the church to these judgments. The first response that many will have is offense. That'll be the first reaction of not everybody, but for many. It's just offensive to their natural minds without the light of the Holy Spirit. It just cannot make sense. And Jesus warned us. He said, don't be offended at me. Don't be offended at what I do or what I don't do. Don't be offended. Everything that God does, He does to remove the things that hinder love. Well, there's going to be a lot of offense and a lot of fear. Be, but then after some time, I mean, many will be offended at first. Don't get tripped by their offense because many that are offended for a season will move into understanding. That's the next step. Jeremiah 23, talking about these 21 judgments. It's actually talking about the 21 judgments. Of course, Jeremiah didn't know there's 21. He, John found out, you know, 2,500 years later, when John, the Holy Spirit showed John, he was, wow, this is what Jeremiah saw. The anger of the Lord will not be turned back until God has executed, performed all of these 21 judgments. Look at this. In the latter days, the people of God will understand this perfectly in the latter days. And God is raising up forerunners right now all over the earth, all over the earth to give understanding to the people. But beloved, the forerunners have got to get the understanding before they can give it. Noah has to build a boat before he can let somebody on it. We have to get understanding because we're going to be used with many other streams of the body of Christ to give understanding in the latter days. Like what it says later in Jeremiah, the fierce anger of the Lord will not turn back. These 21 events, they will happen. In the latter days, you will consider it. The word consider it, it means you will search it out, you will study it. That's why we're doing this series. We are actually, in a very small way, we're participating in this prophecy of Jeremiah 30 verse 24. We are considering it, meaning we're searching it out, we're pondering it, we're discussing it, we're mulling it over, we're praying, we're fasting, we're reading it, we're reading it, we're reading it, we're, we're weighing it out. That's what it means to consider, to search it out. It will happen in the last days. And in a very small way, we're a part of this prophecy. As are many streams, a thousand streams across the earth. But ultimately, it's going to be more than understanding it and helping others understand. We're going to partner, we're going to release it in partnership with Jesus. We're going to release the judgments through global eschatological prayers of faith. Well, that's why, we'll end with that. That's why we are studying these three judgment series for these reasons. And so I didn't expect you to be able to grasp all of this. If this is new to you tonight, you're like, okay. You know, it's, wow, I don't know. What did you say? That's why we give you notes. Because I gave you way more information than you could handle in, you know, 45 minutes. But I want to encourage you to study these. And these next 12, I mean, 11 sessions, study them. Say, Lord, teach me. I want to know this. Let's stand. Now, this is like fishing in a fish pond when I say who feels stirred to be a forerunner. I mean, this is like... But I would say it's slightly different because, I mean, you know, 80% of you would say yes. That's why you're here, actually. Because we're a forerunner community. That's what we are. But if the Lord is speaking to you about being resolved in this and burning the bridge because of people rolling their eyes, plus some. Meaning they're criticizing you. They're, they're beginning to, to, uh, it's, it's beginning to affect you. You're thinking about it. And you're saying, man, I don't know. This book of Revelation is a little strange. No, beloved, it isn't. It is the glory of Jesus. It's the revelation of the man Jesus. And you're in a place, you're saying, you know, I'm in a place just these last days or weeks or so, whatever, last, this season of your life, where I am making a resolve in this last few weeks or maybe tonight. I am not going back. I'm not going back. I am going to be persevering. I'm going to be kind to the people resisting me. But I'm not going to take my cues from them. I'm going to take my cues from the word of God, not from their criticism. And if you're in a place where you're just really, it's new, it's a new anchor you're putting in the ground, so to speak, you're a new resolve in the last few weeks, maybe the last few minutes. And that's where you are. I want to invite you to come forward and stand before the Lord. Just come on up here and stand.
