Milton Green

Milton Green (1943 - 1987). American evangelist and Bible teacher born in Tennessee. Raised in a troubled home with an abusive father, he spiraled into alcoholism, drug addiction, and homelessness, suffering a major heart attack at 43 that left doctors predicting his death. Converted in 1972 after crying out to Jesus, he was miraculously healed and began studying Scripture intensely. A carpet cleaner by trade, Green preached across the U.S. from the late 1970s to 1987, often alongside James Robison and Leonard Ravenhill, focusing on repentance, holiness, and spiritual warfare. He authored The Great Falling Away Today (1986), warning against carnal Christianity, and recorded hundreds of sermons, widely shared online. Married to Joyce, a Christian who prayed for his salvation, they had no children. His teachings, emphasizing victory over sin through Christ, stirred thousands at seminars, though some criticized his focus on demonic influence. Green’s words, “God’s Word is the only standard for truth,” underscored his uncompromising style. His ministry, marked by humility, continues to influence evangelical circles globally

Sermon Transcription
All right now, he says, I visit the Niquity and the Fathers on the third and fourth generations of those who, what? I can't hear you. All right, who are the ones who hate the Lord? The ones who do not keep his law and they prove they don't love him. In other words, that's the way, that's a righteous young man of God. By your standard of measure, if you don't want to walk in, see, the commandments, these commandments, you'll have to walk in love. In other words, you have to love the Lord with all your heart and enable yourself to obey them. And the ones who refuse that are refusing the nature of God and they're saying, I love the nature and character of Satan more, so I will not submit, and so then they're the ones that hate the Lord. And so God's laws, righteous judgment, is set up by their deeds. They are judged according to their deeds. In other words, when you judge someone, you're judged. Was that what Luke 6? When you condemn someone, you're condemned. When you have unforgiveness, the Father won't forgive you. Whatever you deal out to somebody else, give to you, but if you give out love, it pours from heaven on top of you what you give out to others. Glory be to God, I like that. Amen? Now, verse 11, you'll not take the Lord your God in vain. Verse 12, you observe the Sabbath day and keep it holy. Verse 16, you're going to honor your father and your mother as the Lord your days has commanded that you what? That your days be what? Well, hey folks, do you know something? I have, you know, dealing with people, I want everybody to look at me now, this is important. I have been dealing with people, you know, and sometimes we've taken authority and people have been helping and so forth. They grew up in their life and they've done acts that did not honor their mother and father. When they do it, you know what happens? The powers of darkness fulfill a curse and come into them. I have asked them to repent of not honoring their mother and father and had their bodies shake at the powers of darkness leave them. I've had all kinds of powers of darkness be cast down on them and they said that's one of them. They got a bigger release when they had repented from not honoring their mother and father as anything that we prayed about. See when you break these laws right here folks, death moves into you. You don't have peace. Are you hearing what I'm saying? Folks need to say, well that was my, you know, let's just take one of these, hold your place right there and let's just go over to Ephesians 4. Everybody wants to just try to think that this is just confined to the, oh, did it say you're not going to prolong your days if you didn't honor your mother and father? Is that what your Bible said? Is that what he said over there? What about here? Did your Bible say you're not going to prolong your days? You're going to get killed. You're going to get destroyed. I don't say destroyed and all these things because we understand it better when you say killed. When people have been to sleep, they need to tell them they get killed. They know what you're talking about when you say get killed. See if we notice any of these, you know, there's some interesting things in chapter 5. Look at verse 1. Therefore, we're going to be what? Imitators of Satan? We're going to be imitators of God. All right, then, we're going to be called saints. Is that right? Look at verse 3. Do not let immorality, impurity, or greed even be named among you as proper among who? Is that in your Bible? Saints. Now, let's look at verse 5. For this you can know with certainty. Now, that way, we made a rule when we read something, it wasn't going to act like it wasn't in there. You can know with certainty that no immorality, impurity, or greed can be named among you as proper among who? Saints.
