In our series on the book of Revelation This is a such an important chapter one is really the theme of the whole book is all laid out here in chapter one It's really the theme is the majesty of Jesus and his return is the king to take over all the nations that that's the theme but the majesty of Jesus is what we're going to look at and his taking over the nations is a very important part of it of Expressing his majesty, okay paragraph a The book of Revelation is called the revelation of Jesus Because it reveals his majesty It reveals his leadership It reveals his plan to transition history to the age to come I mean imagine that there's a Jewish man with the resurrected body at the right hand of the father. He has a plan to Transition human history on the planet to the age to come that is a a really big idea And he has that plan. He's gonna transition history. That's what the end time plan is about how he can very strategically Transition the planet to the age to come to the Millennial Kingdom Let's read verse 1 the revelation of Jesus Now this is interesting which God gave to Jesus God gave Jesus the revelation of Jesus He said to Jesus you can tell them this much about you Because the revelation of Jesus is so glorious. It's actually under the father's authority He said you can tell them this much. I give you I Mandate you and authorize you to say this much and then God gave it to Jesus for the point of the father's saying to Jesus in essence now Share this with the angel and share with your servant Show them the things which must surely take place And so he sent and he gave this revelation to an angel the angel gave it to John now notice that God shows Us things to reveal the man behind the things paragraph B It's not just a book about the revelation of Jesus, but it's a book about events That take place in an end time in his end time plan to purify the church The book of Revelation one of the premier subject is the context of which the church will be purified to bring in the harvest Beloved there's going to be a harvest of over a billion souls. I believe I believe more than a billion But it's not only purify the church of bringing the harvest. He's going to replace all the evil governments on the earth Now they there's different designations for nations, but there's 232 nations and territories on the earth 232 or a hundred and ninety nations at one level or 232 in one day All the kings of the earth are going to be killed in one day Revelation 19 all of them and all the governments of a hundred and ninety nations or two hundred and thirty-two are going to be Replaced at one time by this Jewish man, who's fully God and fully man. That's what the book of Revelation is about And It's going to transition the earth to the age to come with all the glory of the supernatural realm coming to the earth The church purified the harvest brought in all the governments changed out What the book of Revelation is probably the most politically incorrect document on the planet Seriously, there are so many things about this book that are politically incorrect To the humanistic mindset Well God's purpose in the book is first to reveal the man Behind the planet's not first the plan. It's the man who's engineering the plan That's what the book is about mostly the man But it's the story of the man is told through the plan to purify the church bring in the harvest to replace all the governments of the earth paragraph C Revelation 1 to 3 John has this visionary experience of these three chapters. Well, he does throughout the whole book He highlights 30 specific descriptions of Jesus 30. I Mean, it's a treasure hunt to study these 30 descriptions of Jesus They describe his majesty his ministry and his personality and I give you a little bit of detail on that and I have Several documents on the internet breaking down these descriptions and I mean what a glorious treasure hunt Into the majesty of this man paragraph D John only gave abbreviated statements You know, he said Jesus the faithful witness Jesus the firstborn from the dead is the briefest statement, but the Bible unfolds the implications to each one of these statements Each phrase is but a hint But it's a hint. It's enough if we open the Bible talk to the Holy Spirit Study even what other teachers throughout church history have have brought to the table by the teaching anointing and I tell you there's a feast That we will you can't get enough of it. I challenge you to go on the treasure hunt of studying these 30 descriptions I've had the time of my life over the years walking into these 30 going. This is amazing Who this man is? paragraph 8 Each description and the 18 eternal rewards that are mentioned as well Those are that's a pretty exciting subject the 18 eternal rewards They communicate specific insights that are necessary in equipping the church Meaning if this the father didn't say Jesus I'm gonna give you permission I'm gonna give you a commission to reveal these things about yourself Because they're irrelevant. They are to equip the church The book of Revelation is not a peripheral kind of second-rate document that some people think well It's just the book of Revelation. I go. Are you kidding? It's the revelation of Jesus. Are you kidding? It's not just the book of Revelation It's necessary the truths in this book about this man to equip the church to overcome compromise To Endure persecution and to engage in partnership with Jesus and his inside Brahma. Those are three very different things When I study these 30 descriptions, I get empowered to overcome compromise. I Get it energized to endure persecution And I get equipped in order to be in partnership to engage with Jesus for what he's doing in my generation And if I happen to be here in the day and they are when these things unfold I don't know if I will or won't but whatever generation is they will be able to participate in those things and Again, I think we're in the early days of that generation. That's an opinion. That's not a prophecy That's an opinion may not be maybe a generation or two down the road. It may be longer maybe shorter I don't know But I know this things are escalating in a very dramatic way on a global level that are in the Bible According to his end time plan. So we're alerted. We're on red alert. No matter what even if it goes on Longer than we think or it speeds up. We're on red alert paragraph F Revelation 1 is the most complete picture of Jesus in the Bible in one chapter I mean there is there more insight in these 30 descriptions It describes who he is How he thinks how he feels and it describes what he does If you read revelation with the right perspective you'll adore Jesus more and more I read the book of Revelation just about Jesus like I I Went to the Friday night prayer meeting for years I mean lots of years in the 90s all through the 90s 20 years before I up started We had Friday night prayer means and for many years I went to the Friday night prayer meetings and I don't know how many years I did it But I read the book of Revelation every Friday night. I'm not to understand the end time plan I didn't care about that to be honest. I wanted to know the man. I just said teach me about Jesus I Wasn't even thinking about the events. I was thinking about the man I just decided for years to read it every Friday night the whole book of Revelation. I mean I had a great time. I want you jealous I Want you to say well he can I can there you go. I got you. There you go. Go do it that paragraph G Jesus gave these insights into his heart To form the way that we pray and prophesy and serve him He wants us these insights actually form the way we prophesy You will prophesy with a very different spirit We have a different tone a different humility a different boldness everything by encountering these The truths these 30 truths about him it will change the way we serve the way we preach the way we pray It will change the way we carry our hearts Paragraph H. No aspect of the grace of God more powerfully transform our hearts Then then when God the Spirit reveals God to our heart When God the Holy Spirit reveals God the Son or God the Father when God reveals God Nothing is more dynamic than that is your life goal. I just put this in here because I love the sentence is your life goal To enter into the pleasure of being obsessed with the magnificence of Jesus Is that what you is that is that one of your goals in life to give to be obsessed with this man? With his magnificence There's not your goal. You might say, you know, I've never thought about it making your goal I would be obsessed with the magnificence of this man top of page 2 Paragraph K the Holy Spirit will guide us Jesus said he'll guide you. I like to put the word. He'll escort you Paragraph K though Jesus is saying the Spirit will guide you. He'll take the truths about me. He'll take you by the hand He'll walk you right up that treasure on that treasure journey into that mountain of who I am He will escort you if you want to go and Paul in first Corinthians 2 He said the Spirit will actually share some of the deep things of God And if you're hungry for them the Holy Spirit will give you some of them I want the deep things of his heart I Mean my spiritual capacity is not very deep and God's real deep But I want what I can take and I want more besides and I want my capacity to expand. I Tell you the Holy Spirit knows more about Jesus than we can imagine He knows so much about Jesus The Holy Spirit does more than you and I can imagine and He will reveal as much as we're hungry for We're gonna take some like the Song of Solomon those chamber times. We're gonna take time, but I tell you you'll never go deep on the run You know a lot of folks they just blow Jesus a kiss on the run. I love you See you next week next month. And hey, please anoint me in this next meeting, please Catch you later. Love you, bro That's how a lot of people approach Jesus. I Love you, man. I mean you're the greatest. Please help me out. Talk to you next month No, ain't my song. I know it my sermon make my book get famous, please Give me more money. Give me more friends. Let that girl like me, please Okay paragraph L Somebody say well boy, he knows some of us. No, it's not that I know you I was you I Wasn't born 58. I was 18 once in 22 and all those other ages. Anyway, okay paragraph L. I Got the girl. I really did Yeah, I like to say well, this is true it when I was at the University of Missouri I was on the football team and I played Lord. Let me score touchdowns. Let me get good grades and let me get the girl I didn't score any touchdowns did not make good grades, but I did get the girl. Okay paragraph L I really did the Holy Spirit is raising up those who will proclaim the riches of Jesus Paul said he was anointed to preach the riches of a man Do you have a vision? To experience the riches and to make them know through song through dance through social media through one-on-one Discipling through fellowshipping through writing. Do you have a vision to make the riches of Jesus known to people? The most neglected subject in the kingdom of God is God it's true We know God's blessings. We know all kinds of things about God It's God himself that is the most neglected subject in the kingdom the being of God the riches of the person paragraph M Well in Revelation 1 the premier idea is Jesus seen as the Son of Man the big subject the Son of Man Daniel the Prophet was the first one to talk about the Messiah as the Son of Man That's a big subject and again we got a little bit on the on the our website on this Jesus the Son of Man one of The the premier descriptions of the Messiah many subjects are connected to Jesus as the Son of Man Paragraph 1 Jesus used the title 85 times He used the title the Son of Man more than any other title more than Savior or healer or anything he used the Son of Man referring to Daniel's vision and Daniel chapter 7 and Calling himself the Son of Man. He was declaring. He's both fully God and fully man and that was a new idea. I mean, I knew the Messiah would be special but The Son of Man from Daniel 7 is fully God and fully man if you think it all the way through And when he said I'm that man that Daniel saw They stopped and said wait a second. That's a big. That's a really big claim. You're making right now turn to page 3 a summary of the theme of Revelation particularly verse 1 to 8 Breaks down about you know 7 or 8 or 9 themes that all work together The rest of chapter 1 just unveils his majesty Because the theme is the majesty of Jesus and him taking over all the nations of the earth as king of kings Now again, we'll go through it a little bit slower the revelation of Jesus Which God gave him to show his servants the things which must take place Number one Jesus revealed things events Now these events were very specially selected strategically selected by the father He's the one that identified which events I mean, I don't know the number but there are thousands and Thousands of events whether big or small or in between that could have been highlighted The father only picked a very I have written here a very small percent Of the events that will occur in the generation the Lord returns a very small percent. I mean, I don't know the number but it's Multitudes of events and the father says I want you just to focus on these And so when you read the book of Revelation, you might think there's a lot of events But the father might say some or the spirit might whisper to us and say you think that's a lot That's a really small percent of what the father could have revealed So my point being these events are very strategic they are not Peripheral meaning secondary kind of on the side not really important. They revealed Jesus, but they reveal the strategic events God wanted the church to know That's why I take these this book very seriously a lot of Bible teachers I honor them I really do honor their life in God and their teaching ministry many guys I could think of They think most of these events are just symbolic there I just think I mean It's more than I think I'm really convinced they're really wrong about that, but that but they're godly men and women and they teach many wonderful things, but Reducing these events to just symbolism that don't really matter is just to me It's it's such a tragic loss in terms of the revelation of the glory of this man Somebody comes you read a book or somebody comes along says well, they're all just symbolic that's all poetry Anyway, nobody knows what any of it means say in your heart. No This this is my inheritance to know what these things mean and to understand them Paragraph two God gave these to Jesus and giving them to Jesus. He was in essence mandating him saying hey show these He Identified the strategic events and he was saying I want my people to know these Thus the father wants the servants of God to be familiar with these events Are you familiar with the events of the book of Revelation that reveal the glory of the man you love? Now my point isn't saying I never read the book of Revelation in the last ten years. I Want to stir up your attention. I mean you're wholly Zeal and imagination these events are meant to be understood not in all their detail We have many of them won't we won't see the fullness of them till after we look back in history You know after the Lord returns ago. Oh, man. Wow, it was bigger than I thought there was more details than I thought But my point is if God the Father said Jesus, here's the events. I strategically picked I want you to show your servants and I want them written down and I want my people to be familiar with them We're to talk about them. We're not to ignore him. I Mean the very fact that the father gave these events to Jesus to reveal to his servants is a mandate to study the book of Revelation It's a mandate to study the book if you love the man study the book about him Now, it's not the only book. I was the whole Bible. I mean, it's Genesis to Revelation. I mean, I love the four Gospels They're my favorites and I love the Bible. That's my favorite. I love revelation of acts. That's my favorite, too The Psalms are my favorite and the prophets. Oh, I love the prophets Anyway, my point is we don't have to pick and choose. We want the whole feast But the very fact that God gave these to Jesus it is a mandate for us to understand them is the point Pick up B Verse 3 Blessed is the one who reads and hears This is the only Book in the Bible that God promises a blessing. I Mean there's obviously a blessing if we read the Bible. I mean Joshua 1 where there's a blessing if we meditate on the scripture But this book in a unique way the Holy Spirit said some unique things about the book He said if you read it, you'll be blessed and if you change it, you'll be cursed forever Like don't change the book of Revelation. I mean what other book of the Bible is there a you a Identified blessing if you read it and an identified curse if you change it Wow, that's intense like Lord. What is this book to you? There's a reason church history has written it off as unimportant and unable to understand There's a blessing that's within the reach. I have written it. This blessing is within the reach of every believer It's within the reach of every single one of you in this room Don't buy the lie. This book is too confusing for you. It means what it says It says what it means it's meant to be taken at face value Except where it indicates it's symbolic and it indicates that a number of times but the passage makes it clear It's symbolic there So when it's clear and symbolic is symbolic because it says it is it makes it clear and when it's not clear Symbolic take it at face value and it means what it says and says what it means So it says well, what do you think the hundred forty four thousand mean? I go it means a hundred forty four thousand What do you think the angel that blew the trumpet? It's an angel who blows a trumpet Really it is It's one of the most neglected blessings in the church today is the blessing on this book to read it But notice it says to him who reads I'm going to add something. There's not the notes those who hear Those who hear now to hear doesn't mean get up, you know put it on DVD or CD at night and hear it all night long. Although that's I think that's a great idea if you want to do that. I Know people who do that and I think that's amazing. I've never done it, but I think that's great. They do it but it means more than kind of hear it on a CD You know the number one teaching of Jesus of the Bible this might be surprising But the teaching that Jesus gave more than any other teaching He said this to him that has ears. Let him hear He says it in the gospel and he says it a number of times in the book of Revelation. That's the number one Repeated teaching of Jesus. He that has ears. Let him hear and What Jesus what's being said here those who read the book? But those who hear in other words those that lean into it and seek for living understanding It's not talking about just hearing it on a CD It's talking about more than that the person that's leaning into it saying Holy Spirit Not none of us are gonna fully understand it But I want a spirit of living understanding about this book and and John said you're blessed if you if you have a growing Hearing a growing understanding of this book paragraph see The information was given to John to give to the churches 12 times 12 times John's commanded to write it God wants the church to know it and read it. It's not again secondary This was to be taught in the churches because it can be understood Now note look what it says in verse 4 John to the churches because it's for the church, you know Most the church through history were poor and illiterate peasants Most of the church through history I'm talking about 2,000 years were not PhDs They were not wealthy they were not highly educated the majority through history We're just the poor of the earth most of them illiterate I'm talking about through 2,000 years of church history not all of them by any means but a large number I don't know the number of course my point is this book was For them to read and then to be blessed if they read it and if they were in that Journey of understanding it even a little bit. It's within reach is my point Now notice he says grace and peace to you from him paragraph D The truths in this book will impart Peace to overcome fear when the number one things that will be happening in the generation The Lord returns, although this has been true for 2,000 years the grace That's imparted to people to overcome fear when they study the Jesus of this book Again in some ways Jesus in any book of the Bible will release grace and peace to your heart But John's saying he's talking about in context To the events that happen in this book in that generation. He returns The fear will be so intense Luke 21 verse 26 Luke 21 26 I don't have that the notes says that men will faint for fear. People will have heart attacks because of fear But he tells us here. There'll be peace the truth Related about Jesus in this book will actually give us peace and this book does not make us fearful people say why have you read? The book you'll be fearful. I said opposite Don't let the devil steal this out of your heart. You'll have fear if you don't read the book not if you do It's exactly the opposite of what the Bible says and we'll have grace to resist compromise Grace to resist compromise fear and compromise are two of the primary issues That this the book describes will be in the generation the Lord returns People will be tempted with compromise and yielding to fear and he says grace and peace you read this book That will happen to you. Let's look go ahead and read more in paragraph in verse 4 Roman numeral 3 Peace from him now notice these three this three dimensions of the father He's described. That's not the right word dimensions three descriptions. He's the God who is He's the God who was and he's the God who is to come Now this phrase who is who was it is to come is depicting God's relationship to the earth When it says he is to come he's not doesn't mean he's going to come to heaven he's in heaven. There's only three realms There's the heavenly realm where God's throne is There's the demonic realm and there's the earthly realm and when it says he who is to come it's talking Specifically about the father coming to the earth That I talked to people over the years. It says well, what do you think? Where's the father? Gonna go Well, I don't know. It's kind of poetry. I think no. No, he's coming to the earth You know Jesus is going to return whenever he does Then there's a thousand year reign and then at the end of the thousand years the father comes to the earth Jesus is coming to prepare the nations for the father to come Did you know the father is coming to the earth people have this idea? We're gonna die and go to heaven and we do die and go to heaven between the first and second coming of Jesus Believers dying go to heaven, but at the second coming heaven is coming to earth The New Jerusalem is coming down Heaven is coming down. So the earthly and the heavenly realm will actually be joined together and after a thousand year reign Jesus preparing the nation's the father will actually have his throne on this earth, I Mean, that's just like what? Where's that in the Bible? Oh, I'm glad you asked. I mean one of his main Titles is the God who is to come Let's talk about coming to hell where the demonic realm not about he's not coming to heaven. He's already there. It's coming to earth Now it means there's this description is not limited to his relationship to the earth, but that's the focus of the book of Revelation Now notice Revelation 21 verse 3 we all know the verse Behold the tabernacle of God is with men. He'll dwell with him That verse is not talking about God dwelling with people in heaven He already is that verse is about God dwelling with people on the earth And some one theory says Well, it's the new heaven a new earth. This one's annihilated. There's two different theories, which I won't go into right now Annihilation or renovation and there's a lot of verses that back up both of them Scholars say the this earth will be annihilated after the Millennial Kingdom. It's burned and it's thrown away or they say this earth will be renovated Completely made new I believe it's renovation not annihilation. I believe it's actually this rock this 8,000 Diameter rock the father's coming to this one And there's a lot that will have that position some go the other position. There's good arguments for both of them But I believe he's actually coming to this planet When God said in Genesis 1 it is good. He meant it is good And the devil did not defeat God in his plan for the earth, I believe the earth is going to be completely made new The heavens and earth but I believe it'll be this very earth and the father will come to it and the full dimension of the heavenly realm the supernatural realm of heaven the full Physical material realm of the earth will come together You'll have a physical material resurrected body with all the properties of the supernatural living on the earth Really eating real physical food for real. You'll have an elbow You'll have a bone Jesus in the resurrection said look don't I have flesh and bones now, it's supernatural flesh When I hug you in the age to come I won't just like pastor you whoops. Whoa, come on. Let's try it again Whoa, you go right through no You'll have a physical material body The father's throne is coming to the earth now the reason I'm making a big point about that well because It's mentioned a number of times But we live with so much you live with confidence When you know that what you're doing I'm talking about the little things that giving this someone a cup of cold water the obedience and humility and secret everything we're doing in obedience the smallest unknown thing has a Continuity in a continuum to this great purpose of the father coming to earth When I take a step back I go it is Amazing where we're going the earth and I'm a part of it and you're a part of a beloved. It is amazing Oh the paragraph B our life focus our confidence That we live with when we know the father's coming to the earth and what we're doing in this age actually in the smallest way But it still contributes to that big big picture. We all have a part to play all the believers through history It's a fantastic reality Paragraph C Well, he's not only the God who is to come He's the God who was When they mean when the scripture talks about God who was he was deeply involved in the earth before its foundations So the God who was that's not just an abstract. He was what's that mean? I don't know. He just was It's talking about his relationship to the earth he was Deeply involved with the earth from its foundations. He's been working out a plan from the very beginning He's the God who was He's not saying. Oh, yeah, I got to come up with something for the earth. Yeah Let me think a lot of people down there things are getting a mess. Let me think just give me a minute I'll come up with something. No, he's the God who was Deeply involved with the earth and the host setting up According to his order with a plan in place Paragraph D. He's the God who is he's in the present tense Currently involved in human history in your life. He's the God who is now actively involved He's the God that had plans back then. He was deeply involved back then He is now and he's coming to the earth and the plan is Remarkable and the book of Revelation is about Jesus coming to make a way for the father to come But the father's had plans in the past present and future that are all intact We're a part of something really big Some guy says well, it's just not worth it anymore. I go. That's the that's a lie straight from hell. It is worth it There's this despair in the nation's many believers not worth it. I know who you listening to Are you gonna be rich and famous and a great this and that may probably not in this age But does the father see and does it matter to him? Yes, therefore, it's worth it Does it mean that everybody will appreciate you and you'll have some big? Big thing happen that others will recognize in this age. That's not what worth it means worth it means Doesn't matter to God and doesn't have a continuity with what he's doing. Yes It is worth it, it's a lie You know, I I like to point out to people, you know I've heard some preacher say this once and I've said it to different folks. I'm really struggling with suicide I go let me tell you something about suicide You you pull the trigger and within five seconds, you'll be fully conscious forever You're not going into oblivion. You will be as conscious as you are now in seconds. Oh I just thought I would just kind it would all go away. Oh, no, you'll be really awake a Second or two later or sooner and when people think that I go, huh? Well, I was just thinking I'd go into kind of a celestial nap for a while and kind of get rested out and then take Another shot at it later. No Didn't work that way We're a part of something Magnificent even though it's small and hard our lot in this age and our assignment and it's not celebrated by others It's not noticed by others that we feel like a failure The Lord says keep reaching keep pressing in keep seeking to obey me It matters to me you it the whole thing will make sense when you see it and the book of Revelation really points that out top of page 4 The Holy Spirit is described. He's the one before the throne The seven spirits before the throne Wow, what a statement paragraph a this describes the Holy Spirit in his great diversity His great position of honor and his posture of humility He's the spirit who is before the throne. There's honor humility and diversity in that phrase before the throne paragraph B It's one Holy Spirit But he's described as the seven spirits to emphasize his diversity in function and his diversity in his abilities Which is really similar to function He has so many functions and so many abilities So that so the the term the seven spirits is a reference to Isaiah chapter 11 Where God is the Holy Spirit's? function in seven different capacities Counting the first one the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him the Messiah Jesus the Son of David That's number one. Just the anointing of the Spirit and then there's six more descriptions after that Paragraph C when it says he's before the throne That denotes his position of supreme honor. He is God. He's before the throne. I mean you can't get before the throne That's an amazing Statement of supreme honor. That's the one living in you who will teach you if you want to talk to him He will teach you many things. He's the one that lives before the throne Wow Holy Spirit, I want to be more respectful and more I Want to cherish you more and respect you more if that's who you are and you're inside of me Then he's also it depicts his posture of humility he's He's he's before the father as a servant back at his every beckoning call to go do The will of God in a way that draws attention to the Father and the Son So he's there as that servant spirit. I mean that servant attitude before the throne Paragraph five. I'm in Roman number five John highlighted which I consider to be the three primary truths of About Jesus for which They are elaborated in the remainder of chapter one There's three truths that are highlighted above the other ones and they're the foundation for which we the other Truths are seen through this grid Number one the first description of Jesus in the book of Revelation. He is called the faithful witness. What a statement It's Like the father saying to the son when you show yourself to John Emphasize your fate yourself as the faithful witness make that first many implications to this Because we're called to be faithful witnesses as well Number two, he's the firstborn from the dead number three is the ruler of the kings of the earth and the red the truths in verse 10 to 20 Elaborate on these three. These are the three foundational truths. I believe in the book of Revelation of which we Understand Jesus. These are the these are big three big themes that are you see throughout the book paragraph B He's a faithful witness. Jesus told the truth He told the truth about God I Tell you the cultural wars that are happening right now that things are really heating up in the cultural wars and Even good men and women of God are now backing away and getting shy in telling the truth about God Well, it's the same God and every religion leading to the same. No, it's not The God of Israel the God of the Lord Jesus is not the same God of Islam and Hinduism and Buddhism it's not That's a complete lie Jesus told the truth about God. He told the truth about man. I Mean he told truths that are negative. He told truths that are positive We don't want to hear the truth about man. He told the truth about culture He told the truth about Israel Israel didn't like what he said about Israel and Then Israel then the Jew I mean the Gentiles and the Arabs and all the others don't like what he said about Israel on the other side Most people Jews or Gentiles believers or unbelievers don't like what Jesus says about Israel. He tells the truth though. I Want to line up with the truth He tells the truth about the end times The enemy doesn't want us telling the truth about the end times he just wants us I don't get all that that's really now I'm really it's all gonna pan out anyway The Bible tells us the truth many themes about the end times Jesus said I'll tell the truth and they killed him because he told the truth. They didn't kill him Because he did miracles they killed him because his miracles drew attention to what in what's what he said that got him killed I believe that being a faithful witness is the most Challenging part of the book that we are mandated to imitate to be faithful witnesses. I Mean the day is well the day is already here, but it's gonna get really uncomfortable in The days ahead to tell the truth about culture about sexuality about homosexuality about marriage about hell About the one way of salvation About the the nation's it's gonna be really costly to tell the truth But he requires that we do paragraph C Well the first point he tells the truth. He's the way it's more than tell the truth He is the truth, but that's a big subject paragraph C the next of the three. There's three major themes that are highlighted He is preeminent in authority over the supernatural realm He's the firstborn from the dead that means he's he has more authority in the realm of the spirit than any other man He's the firstborn the firstborn doesn't mean he's the first one born. It means he has the position of preeminence That's what firstborn means He has more authority in the realm of the spirit than anyone else Under the father, but I mean as a man He has authority over all the angels over all the demons over all the humans one man has all the authority He's the firstborn from the dead. You could read that more about that on your own paragraph D He's the ruler of the kings of the earth he's not only preeminent in authority the supernatural realm Which is paragraph C the supernatural he's preeminent in authority in the earthly realm One man has the preeminent authority in both realms and it's the man that's the faithful witness the man who tells the truth Even when it cost him everything to tell the truth top of page five Well the man who has total authority in the realm of the spirit the firstborn of the dead the man with all the authority over the kings of The earth in the earthly realm he used paragraph a top of page five He used his position of honor as the number one man in the realm of the spirit the number one man in the realm of The earth he used his position of honor to express love for us I Mean, what would he do if he had all the authority all the power all the wisdom he would die so that he could bring you Close to him as kings and priests forever. That's what he would do if he had all the power and all the authority That's what he did He used it for love To qualify us to draw us close to God is the idea He gave his life so that we could draw close to God as priests Then he exalted us to rule with him as kings He drew us near. I mean we're gonna be closer to God the Father and to the Son that the angels are Jesus gave his life so we'd be priests come right near to God as his family forever We cross a line the angels don't cross the angels don't step over the line to become the family The sons of God the Bride of Christ is priests and he exalts us to rule with him Roman numeral seven It's gonna kind of go through the rest of this quite quickly They're gonna have a little Q&A time if you want I Mean for those that want we're gonna have it but Paragraph a Roman numeral seven The primary theme and the storyline the storyline Jesus is coming to earth on clouds Look at this. That is one of my favorite verses because I got a hundred favorite verses, you know, that's how it works Every eye will see him all the tribes of the earth will mourn. This is remarkable Every eye will see him. His kingship will be announced and Asserted over every tribe and tongue and nation on the earth. I believe there will be a royal procession of Jesus All the angels flaming fire the glory of the Father all the Saints He's at the front. I mean think of billions of angels several billion Saints all those freshly with resurrected bodies All behind him it says in flaming fire the glory of the Father and he's going across the earth every Single eye will see him I've had guys say well that must be TV. I go really if you have Genesis 1 on your resume You need TV for the earth to see you Really I Don't think so Someone says what's it mean? Every I will see him. It means every I will see him I don't know how long it will take I don't know But the people in the northern hemisphere the southern hemisphere the in the east and the west every tribe every island every Human will see him It's gonna take more than three minutes for that to happen. I don't know But he's coming as a king in a procession To announce and assert his royal claim of every tribe and tongue of the earth Wow We will be resurrected raptured in midair and we'll be with them It's gonna wave over New Zealand a little bit. You know, hey, I never saw that island before. Hey guys do another No, it doesn't really work that way all the tribes will see him all of them And they will mourn when they see him because the Saints have been raptured resurrected midair With him in the air all the other folks on the earth They're mourning when they say We chose the wrong team Seriously, this is not a joke There'll be two groups of people on the earth after the Saints are raptured there's the unsaved survivors of The Great Tribulation, but they didn't They resisted the Antichrist, but they didn't say yes to Jesus or the Antichrist They will mourn paragraph B Mourning describes either their repentance. They will mourn with repentance into salvation But those that took the mark of the beast they will remore they will mourn with remorse Because their judgment is sure to is sure and it's right then There will be Unsaved I call them the resistors they resisted the Antichrist and they resisted salvation and when they see Jesus they will mourn Under salvation they can be saved The door of salvation is not over then Jesus is a man with the resurrected body coming over the earth He's gonna land in Jerusalem set up his throne Put his throne there forever and the and the nations will go on another thousand years and the unsaved survivors of the Great Tribulation a Number of them will get saved those that took the mark of the beast will be executed and killed or that's the same thing They'll be judged They'll have remorse one group will be remorseful the other group will be repentant Roman numeral eight. Let's look at paragraph B You could just read this on your own later, but Jesus was revealed His majesty is the Son of Man. Here. He is is the Son of Man laid out with all these details He's the faithful witness the firstborn of the dead all the authority the realm of the Spirit Faithful the king is the ruler of the kings of the earth all the authority over the governments of the earth He is the Son of Man. He's prophet priest and king turn to page six. I'll just give you the last couple Fill in the blanks and then we'll go into our Q&A Paragraph C. And again, and we got quite a bit of material on the website on these different facets of Jesus's Beauty my port tonight my goal is just to stir you up for hunger for Revelation one to really go after the revelation one said I'm gonna really learn this chapter in as much as I can learn it You know in our imperfect understanding his eyes speak of his burning desire of love. He has eyes of fire They speak of his love his burning desire They speak of his intensity. They speak of his judgment But they speak of his burning desire for love as well He has eyes for fire when he looks at his people. He loves them as the God of prayer paragraph eat his wide hair indicates the father's glory It's the God it's the father from Daniel chapter 7 It's he's like his father when Daniel saw that Jesus is the Son of Man next to his father. You can Again study that out at another time paragraph J I'll just take 60 seconds on this Then end I have this little acronym ARK ARK Paragraph J. And again a bit more on the website on it And I like to apply the truths about Jesus and you know, these 30 descriptions of him I like to have three responses a I Like to save them I like to declare them to Jesus like you are the faithful witness say it with Gratitude and affection. I love you as the faithful witness. I love that about you I like to tell him what the Bible says is true about him then paragraph 2 I Like to tell it to him. How many times have you thanked Jesus that he is the firstborn from the dead? If you've never done it, I'm not saying every time you do it You'll have the most dramatic experience But when I thank him and agree with him for who he is, I feel the spirit not every time but a lot of times It's wonderful to talk to Jesus with the Holy Spirit and you talk together. It's a beautiful thing. It's a great way to live It's a great way to spend your Friday evenings Then are I don't just thank him. He's the grateful witness and with affection and gratitude I ask him let me understand you as the faithful witness. Give me a revelation and Then K how am I supposed to respond in my life? To imitate what the truth of the faithful witness might mean to me. I Want to Jesus said I'm in the scripture said if you keep the prophecy, I want to I want to apply I want to keep this prophecy in my life I want to respond in my life and obedience to all 30 of these descriptions I tell you you do that simple little exercise agree with them. Thank you for who he is agree Ask for more insight and then apply it in a very simple little way every one of these truths have a Application and your attitude or actions did this chapter will come alive for you I mean it will you'll just go over it and over you'll never exhaust it ever even a million years from now Amen, and amen Well, let's stand Let's uh, let's respond to the Lord just for 60 seconds just privately and then we're gonna have a Q&A. We'll let you slip out in a minute But don't move just yet. Just 60 seconds. It's like the Lord. Here we are I'm gonna have Dave and Wes coming up to Lord here. We are before you. We love you. Kiss me with the kisses of your word touch my heart with the beauty of God For your love is better than wine. You're the faithful witness the firstborn from the dead. Oh I I want to be fully engaged with who you are and what you're about Just talk to him for just a second Lord, I want to go on this Journey forever the escort of the Holy Spirit escort me into the truth. Holy Spirit. I want more just time I want more I Want more Jesus name. Amen Okay, again I want to stay standing so the folks could slip out if they want to and if you got that we don't have to step Over you and but if you slip it out go ahead and go to the sides if you would to either side Or or the gym, I don't know if they open the gym door just say I have a place to talk because there's no four years In here and if you have questions come over to this side or this side So while we're waiting on your annihilation versus renovation point, yes I just kind of did a little quick side study back there for fun. Tell them 28 passages In the Bible that talk about the Lord establishing something on earth forever forever I've read those over and over 28 of them. There's about 300 forever passages But 28 specific 28 of them say what I don't I've never counted the earth will last forever Things that the Lord establishes relate to his kingdom on earth forever established just for fun Yeah, those are the ones I can't get away from 28 I didn't know it was 28. Thank you for that information. Okay questions Say your name if you will My kid if you're gonna chance just slip out if you will maybe we can open the gym I don't know what's in the gym. Maybe there's something we can't open it but so folks can slip out in there and talk during this time maybe when the ushers could work on that or If not, it just means it's not practical Go ahead. I'm sorry. Okay, that's all right my name is Jim and my question is about you talked about the new heavens and the new earth and that you thought the new earth would be renovated and It also talks about the New Jerusalem coming down and it's 12,000 furlongs the length breadth and width or height or whatever It is. So how is that going to work? Because that's roughly 1,500 miles by 1,500 miles by 1,500 miles Are there going to be like two different planets? Are they going to be right next to each other? Are they going to merge and become one or how is that going to work out? When the New Jerusalem comes down it merges into The earth the part of the reason the earth is renovated is to repair it to receive the New Jerusalem in glory And so think about from Maine to Florida Washington DC to the Mississippi River That's kind of what you're talking about in terms of distance. So the earth is preparing to receive that City that size but what's interesting is just for fun sometime go to the Noahic Covenant Genesis 9 verse 22 the Lord and his covenant with Noah and the nations also makes a covenant with creation There's all the Lord says I promise I'm not going to do it again I'm not going to destroy the earth again like this and then number two. The Lord says there's going to be seasons So the the harvest season the the summer season there's going to be night and day on the earth forever In other words, the New Jerusalem will always have day But the rest of the earth has day and night still still goes around the Sun all that I'm answer. I think your question is how does it come down? I think it's in proximity to the earth, but not on the earth during the Millennium Then it's on the earth after the Millennium. I think that's what you're asking. I'm not sure Or will they be one it sounds like you think initially New Jerusalem comes close to the earth that's in proximity to it, but not on the earth during the Millennium Okay, and so there's some connection in a way. We don't fully grasp. Okay Is the height issue I mean, it's not the width and the length It's the height issue because it goes right up up into space. I don't know that if this is true but one of the things that John sees is the foundations of The New Jerusalem and so the complete merger of heaven and earth will involve those foundations I don't know if the foundations are part of the 12,000 furlongs and if they don't go right into the earth when the New Jerusalem fully merges with the earth. That's sweet. I Don't know you cut you. We we don't know because we just see it up there. We don't see it fully on the earth Well Mike talked about the the rock being like 8,000 miles or whatever So I just kind of diameter the diameter. Yeah, so I mean 1,500 miles by 1,500 miles by 1,500 miles that's pretty big, you know, and So I'm just learning right now. It's not like it's working right now. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Well, thanks. I appreciate it Some gentlemen, I'm Jeremy My question is concerning Matthew 24 Matthew 24 verses 29 30 and 31 Jesus talks about how the Sun will be darkened. The moon won't give its light the stars will fall everybody's gonna see Jesus coming in the clouds and they're gonna mourn and Then if you look in the book of Revelation chapter 6 when he's talking about the seals That happens at the sixth seal minus Jesus coming that seems to happen later so I guess my question is is As I don't know like it just kind of seems like Jesus says something different than what John sees No, it's a there's varying degrees of it. In other words, it happens throughout the three and a half years So Joel 2 acts 2 Matthew 24 Revelation 6 Revelation 9 the the day is kind of cut into a third Amos hints at that as well and so there seems to be kind of a sequence throughout The three and a half years where sometimes the day is struck and then the night is affected in the stars and darkened And sometimes the Sun in Revelation 16 gets intense. And so there's variety to it. It's not just one event It's multiple events where those kinds of cosmic signs are happening, right? so so then why at The sixth seal do we see everybody mourning and saying like rocks fall on us hide us from the wrath of the lamb Like they obviously know it's the lamb. I mean they call it out So if Jesus isn't coming, how do they know at that point that it's the wrath of the Lamb? Probably somebody told them All right All right, that works did they call those forerunners I think Thank you, you gotta answer that's a hard one. Yeah come a little bit easier questions My name is James Griffin, and I just had a question With the last point on the notes that you mentioned on page 5 about Jesus coming to the earth With the resistors. I just wonder if you could expound more on it and just not for argumentative sake just out of curiosity If those were the scripture references Zechariah 12 and the ones in Revelation that support it or where could we go? To look into the topic of the resistors those that survived that are they haven't except guessing again I don't remember the number what 10 or 12 verses on the resistors some number like it maybe 15. There's quite a few It's not those because that wasn't my point. That was kind of a I just threw that in on the run tonight But I have several handouts where we talked about the Millennial Kingdom Just look at the Millennial Kingdom series, and I have the list of the resistor verses. There's there's a good number I mean 10 12 15 of them it says those who escaped Those and if they escaped around the earth They're not killed by the wrath of God and they sir or those who survived They're not raptured if they're born again believers are gonna be raptured right Everybody good believers raptured when the Lord returns right is that right I Sure yeah, yeah, yeah, it has to be yeah. Yeah, it's that one verse You know there's quite a few verses on that but so born-again believers are taken up Okay, people with the mark of the beast are gonna be executed They're either gonna be killed by The wrath of God coming down or literally executed I mean that's a bizarre idea that they because some folks think that when Jesus comes They never think it through. He's gonna like just wave his hands and they're all gonna disappear, right? They're not they're gonna be rounded up and they're gonna be punished for serving the Antichrist and persecuting the Saints But there's a whole nother group That did not take the mark of the beast, but they've met They they were not raptured. They were not born again. They're they resisted salvation and the Antichrist some folks think well That can't be true. But like in World War two, you know, it's well known I mean the story of the French resistance movement. They resisted Hitler Not because they love Jesus. They resisted Hitler because they love France and they hated Hitler And so there will be people who will resist the Antichrist not because they love Jesus. They hate the Antichrist They go he's got a bad spirit. I don't trust him. I mean just like they resisted Hitler the same sort of thing Great passages Zechariah 13 The survivors of Israel would be in that group and then you can get a glimpse of the ones in Jerusalem in Revelation 11 Verses 15 to 21 in the very city itself. That's that's in great trouble There's people in the city rejoicing when the two witnesses are resurrected and taken up so they had resisted and are celebrating But there's 10 or 15 verses and they're easy to get on the Millennial series. You just look them all up go Wow, that's my first song You know who are these people that escaped that survived that made it through there were not raptured who are they Yeah, I mean, there's a clearly a group of unbelievers Zechariah 8 talks about Those of the nation's grabbing the hem of a garment of a Jewish man saying we want to know God and you know God Well, I don't even have that on my list so that so there's clearly this group of the nations are going from city to city and going up to Jerusalem and saying We don't know God, you know, God teach us about God So they're not yet saved until they connect with the God of Israel in saved you're in saved Jerusalem That's a good. That's a good one. I'll put that on my list now. I got 14 on it good That's right. Yeah, that's really good. I just asked I want to search it out I've heard people say like how could anyone survive the tribulation in those things? So oh, I think millions will I think millions won't but millions will I mean How did people survive World War two when when cities of Europe were bombed? I mean destroyed to the ground million survived. Wait, can I answer that question? Jesus answered that question in Matthew 24? He said unless the father cuts those days short. No flesh would survive. So Jesus himself Says the father's gonna cut it short so that people can survive. Well, good point. Yeah Thanks. My name is Steven from Revelation 1 1 The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave him to show his servants things Which much shortly take place and he sent and signified it by his angel to a servant John. You mentioned this earlier so I've never seen that before but I've always wondered like about the omniscience of Jesus because he doesn't know like The time he's coming but God the Father does so was Jesus omniscient before creation like did something change when he? Like that's my pay grade. I Don't know. Let's take a fifth on that one. I don't know No, seriously, how do us little peanut guys know stuff like that? Are there any verses to like dig into it? like besides like the whole Bible obviously but Like because the angel of the Lord there seems to like like changes in the seasons of like who Jesus is and like what he does Like I have no idea I mean for us to peer into what Jesus in the humanity knows and does not know being omniscient God Let's just be quiet. Yeah, let's just be little guys. No. No, really that's way above us That makes sense. Thanks. Anyway, there's a reason you're confused by that We're definitely are Hi, my name is neo how you doing guys I just wanted to ask There's I found between my wife and I we studied the word and one of the things we encounter but was considering the supporting more so post trip rapidly post trip rapture Post tribulation rapture. We've seen more proof for that than we did for pre trip. What is your take on it? What are a few solid clear undoubtable versus supporting post tribulation rapture was? For for post tribulation rapture, I would say I mean I would say there's no verses that are clearly pre tribulation rapture There's not even one. I agree that I mean there's not even I mean that's crystal clear all the verses related to the rapture Referred to the second coming of the Lord. I mean to me That's the clearest evidence that everything related to the Saints being caught up to meet him when Paul writes the best Thessalonians he ties those so clearly together the trumpet will sound the dead will be raised the Lord's coming from heaven It's all one glorious public visible event And so that I mean right there you've got it all but there isn't the number one There's no clear verse that says there's a secret rapture number two Every verse that speaks about the catching up of the Saints It's in connection with the coming of the Lord not seven years before And I wonder what to tell what to tell those to claim to have dreams all over YouTube about pre tribulation raptures So I'm just assuming that there those are dreams from the enemy Probably or maybe they have the right idea But one of them the most common verse that's used to the pre tribulation rapture is in Matthew 24 It says, you know one will be taken another another left the context of that encourage you What I love to do is take people through and have them actually read that in context Because Jesus says it will be as in the days of Noah where the wicked were taken away and the righteous were left So it will be in the days of the sons coming of the Son of Man one will be taken and another left and so the context is clearly about the Unrighteous being taken away in judgment and it's exactly the opposite of what most people they're not taking away the rapture They're taking away in death in death and judgment and that's where the Eagles are gathered around the carcasses Yeah, don't talk about Matthew 24. Okay. Yeah, that's yeah Luke 17 adds that because the disciples said where are they taken when they're taken to or take ones left? Let's take it. They said where are they taken? He said wherever the Vultures are that's where the corpses are or the the bodies are Sounds fun. All right. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. We got to really be prepared for this then. Amen. Thank you Good, and we're not gonna we're asked that nobody else come to the line just because I'm looking at the time there. Yeah Hi, my name is Mauda and I had a question about your name is what? Mauda Mauda, how are you doing Mauda? Good. Thank you Okay, so it was about Tribulation and about also rapture So here's the question if we all get raptured every every single one that's a believer gets raptured but then only those who are Go through the The tribulation will reign with him for a thousand years. Ah, that's I wouldn't that's not true. Okay, so can you explain that? Okay, so that's the question. Do the rest that people fall asleep or like who reigns and I think every believer from Adam all the way to the last one would be raised from the dead resurrected bodies and The same around yes. Yes. Yeah, it's not only those through the Great Tribulation Okay, so what about that special thing with a hundred and forty four thousand Is that something that they will have a special because they get to minister to the Lord, right? Is that correct or am I wrong about that? It was quite good, but I didn't agree with a couple of key points But I didn't have enough wisdom to answer them. So I got stuck I'm deferring to my elder It's about maybe seven or eight years ago, right when you it was really good. Thanks So so then everybody will be around for the thousand years all believers will all believers Well, no one goes back to you're thinking of one verse in Revelation 20 where it makes a special promise No a special reference to the people martyred in the tribulation. Yes, and where people mistake that verse in my opinion they add The word only only They will be raised. They they add the word only the Bible does not say only it just says I want you guys to know You will be raised and we think of how come they have highlighted them Well, there might be millions of them and it might be a really key verse in that day for the before the Lord returns But he doesn't say only them and but it's a lot of folks add that word in kind of accidentally. Okay, so then For them, there's no special reward for going through the tribulation I think you're gonna be so happy with what they get. I don't understand how I don't know One verse the other do you well Revelation 14? There's a there it talks about the ones that that stay steady in that time We're going to be blessed and the Holy Spirit emphasizes it But but it doesn't mean that they're going to be rewarded in a special way that's distinct from other believers I'm an obedience in any generation for love. Yeah, right with all of our hearts really works Okay That's good question though You talked about the seven longings of the heart and that we're not to repent for the longings that the Lord formed us with What are some advice that you could give young people? in the longing to be great to actually pursue dreams of the heart without losing sight of Pursuing Jesus or relegating it to just the realm of fear I I think the longing to be great we want to be great before God not before men What some people will end up great before men, but that's not what we're aiming at We want to be great before God in his time frame in his way And so that's humility for sure obedience humility Some of the most unknown people in church history will be the greatest ones in the age to come so I want to be great in that age and Not in this age. I want my dedication to be esteemed by God is great and So when a guy wants to be great in the eyes of men God may call someone to be great in the eyes of men like a king of a nation or something like that But that is not what makes them great long term So I think it's okay for someone to for God to call someone to that that's good But that's not our goal, you know, like David's goal wasn't to be king of Israel David's goal was to be faithful to God He I don't think he cared if he was king And so as long as it's to be great in God's eyes You can't go wrong if we slip the word great meaning great before men in this age now by having power over them That could get tricky because some people are really called to that I mean very very very few but some are and if you if you study that the term greatness in the New Testament is always You know to be great or to be first. It's always in context to servanthood It's always in context to meekness and all the realities that Jesus teaches about in the Sermon on the Mount So look and study the term greatness. What does Jesus say makes men great? So you may be called to be a senator and be one of the most well-known people in your state That won't be the essence of your greatness, though I mean, that's your assignment and some people may go wow, she's amazing. That isn't why you'll be great It will be the other reason but there's nothing wrong with being a senator, but that's not the definition of being great in my opinion Hey, my name is Caleb. My question is how do we approach people that have the view of Preterism and idealism and what is the credibility of teachers and preachers that? Believe that I think with honor and love because I know a lot of preterists who mean a preterist That's a big term for they think a lot of these Events in the book of Revelation are symbolic in it and they took place in the past already fulfilled But a lot of the guys that I know that believe that they believe in the second coming is literal They believe in Jesus and all the I mean a lot of really great ways. They believe in the Bible the great harvest So, I think they're wrong on reducing those key events But still they got a lot of great insight on a lot of great subjects. I honor them in that regard The way I approach them is they helped me a ton sharpen what I believe and strengthen my convictions as friends that it actually it's Their disagreement and their observations on scripture that forced me to go deeper. So they helped me a ton and It will take care of itself It's like the guy goes, I don't believe in prophecy and healing I go, okay, I Take care of itself when you have your first powerful prophetic dream. You'll say. Oops. There you go Funniest thing you ever said you said the guy that doesn't believe in tongues You always wait for his wife to get the gift of time. Yeah, I do care of itself No, I've said that to a few pastor friends. I've been good friends with and they go I don't believe it in this I go I pray your wife will have a prophetic dream and speak in tongues and tell the elders He goes what I go Catch 22 works every time Well, the events are happening, I mean things are escalating so fast right now on the in about five areas ten areas I mean It's getting harder to deny things aren't Whatever. I'm truly I mean the preterists you learn a lot from the preterists because they're so focused on what happened in history And those things are shadows and types of what is coming in It's quite helpful so it can be really helpful to even study some of the the historical understanding that they have of events that truly did happen and and of which It was a down payment of a future prophecy to you know for our instruction to prepare us I say I want to do is see the majesty of Jesus the Red Book of Revelation They get in an argumentative proud spirit about Jesus It's like Jesus go wait It's me just everybody be humble and captured by me and just talk to each other kind with humility And so I want to stay locked into that Awesome. Thank you. Good evening. I'm Jay I just want to caveat this first with saying this could be somewhat somewhat picky on but I've thought about this many times and you reminded me tonight, sir When you threw out the numbers and I realized you would just start stretching and I've seen many commentaries that would agree with you That maybe there's a hundred and ninety two hundred and thirty-two nations 270 whatever on the other hand, I'm looking at it and saying it also sounds like in Scripture that Well, let's let's put it this way Um, I think it was ralph winter that said that the nations in revelations could be referring to people people groups That there's more like 7 000 people groups possibly, right? Okay. I'm gonna put that in tribes and tongues, you know, okay Yes. Yeah, I don't and that's my my question is um, are there hundreds or thousands, um and Well, the united nations has like 190 on the list other groups get it up to 232 40 I mean that have real kings Every tribe doesn't have a king. I guess a chief is kind of a king right? America doesn't have a king But we do have thanksgiving, okay, go ahead Ah Matter of fact you celebrate it. I heard your kids told me. Yeah, I know They did they told me we win again. Go ahead See you at the world cup, okay so my question is concerning son of solomon and um My question pertains to uh, you say in here that um that the daughters of jerusalem They're in the song and they're genuinely immature believers who seek Jesus without the song but never fully committed as the bride So my question is is the body of christ is there people that are considered the bride? And that are not the bride because i've heard that taught over even the new testament. I think The bride is this is a picture of mature love And everybody in the resurrection will have mature love. So in that sense everybody makes it in This age, it's not like he is and he isn't it doesn't work that way. I just think we're all aiming to grow in love It's it's a poem, you know, it's a love story. I mean, it's a love song So it's it's hard to say he is and he isn't And I think we all will be everybody can believe I believe ultimately, okay because i've heard it taught like even With the parable of the ten virgins that like five go in and ten are like an hour of darkness They're in heaven, but they're like out there and so There there was made the there was the distinction made by yeah, I interpret that differently than born again and not born again but I think they're all ten are born again, but they miss out on the purpose of god as in terms of the bridal the revivals The different waves of the spirit that are going to be moving across the earth leading up to the second coming That's how I interpret that the bigger point that was probably a little confusing Well, the bigger point is that whoever says whoever applies the parable of the ten virgins that way is actually breaking a pretty huge Rule of bible interpretation when it comes to parables when it comes to parables, you don't build doctrine off of the details You build your understanding off of the main point of the principle. Jesus is talking about and so to create a Developed theology of the bride from the details of the parables violating Hermeneutics, I think so too. Thank you. The same will be I mean that would be the same with song solomon And I think he's telling them he's not saying I never knew you like in matthew 7 He's saying I don't know you as the bridegroom. We don't have this kind of relationship That's what I think is but again, that's the better answer right there Hi, um, my name is alicia and my question was based on your song of solomon. Um sermon, um And you were talking about how When your affection is based on like duty-based obedience And you were saying that sometimes that can result in like having a spiritual poverty And yet you were saying that it is good to have to be poor in spirit So my question kind of is like where is the line of okay? This is me being poor in spirit, which is what jesus has asked me to do Whereas okay. This is me being too obedient, which is resulting in having like a spiritual poverty. Like does that make any sense? Yeah, I think they're two very distinctly opposite concepts the poor in spirit in matthew 5 the sermon on the mount Means we see our need for more We see our poverty stricken state. There's so much more that we want So we see wow, we have so little compared to how much is available So I think that's poor in spirit of the good sense Then in the bad sense in math in like in the laodicean church. Jesus said you're poor and wretched He didn't mean you were humble longing for more He meant you're spiritually barren. You don't know you are so that was a very opposite than the beatitude of being poor in spirit One was a rebuke. One was an affirmation. Does that make sense? Yeah, it makes perfect sense. Thank you Last one. Hi, i'm ross worship team if you'll come on up if you would Um, I just have a question about the mark of the beast if there's warnings we should be looking for like or will it? Just be obvious Like I always thought it just oh, I'll know like, you know, obviously don't take the mark, but it'll be super obvious Are there be like warnings or anything? You'll know because it's accompanied by the demand that you worship the devil Yeah, obviously. I mean obviously right right. No, really? You're not gonna trip and somebody's gonna stamp your hand Right but but no really it's for like new believers that don't understand like Like the meaning of different things yet What should they like? Yeah, I think about it like getting a passport. It's uh, you're you're You're doing more than just kind of going through something to get food. You're actually pledging your allegiance to something To be considered identified as part of it And that's the theme of that passage is you're pledging your allegiance To be a part of something to partake in its benefits. It's like getting an embedded chip In your hand is not the mark of the beast People are so afraid of that. They think the technology Is the demonic part? The demonic part is not the technology There might be some person who gets an embedded chip for there's lots of reasons. They're putting them in people for for medical reasons there's in the criminal sense of It all there's about 10 reasons people are getting embedded chicks chips in the plan Embedded chicks and so You know We're really tired aren't we if that's if that's that entertaining that's good. That means we're tired no If you get an embedded chick and your hand No That's not the evil part So some people are really afraid of that. Honestly, they're thinking You know, they go to the doctor they say, you know I don't know how they're doing it, but all the details of it they go. Oh, no, that's the mark of the beast That's not at all the mark of the beast. So you have to know who you're following and obviously Yeah, you will be pledging your allegiance to the antichrist to worship him as god And deny jesus and then you get The chick the chip at that time Is that right? Yeah No, he I mean again again a new believer is going to know their confession is jesus is god and the antichrist Paul very clearly says he's in the temple and he's saying I am god acknowledge that I am god so even the newest believer is going to be clear that He's not god. The antichrist is going to have a counterfeit form of chick track That's okay. Okay scary day Worship team or is the team here?
