The Apostate Evangelical Church of Today
Keith Daniel

Keith Daniel (1946 - 2021). South African evangelist and Bible teacher born in Cape Town to Jack, a businessman and World War II veteran, and Maud. Raised in a troubled home marked by his father’s alcoholism, he ran away as a teen, facing family strife until his brother Dudley’s conversion in the 1960s sparked his own at 20. Called to ministry soon after, he studied at Glenvar Bible College, memorizing vast Scripture passages, a hallmark of his preaching. Joining the African Evangelistic Band, he traveled across South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and made over 20 North American tours, speaking at churches, schools, and IBLP Family Conferences. Daniel’s sermons, like his recitation of the Sermon on the Mount, emphasized holiness, repentance, and Scripture’s authority. Married to Jenny le Roux in 1978, a godly woman 12 years his junior, they had children, including Roy, and ministered together. He authored no books but recorded 200 video sermons, now shared online. His uncompromising style, blending conviction and empathy, influenced thousands globally.

Sermon Summary
In this sermon, the preacher emphasizes the urgency and responsibility of warning the lost about the dangers they face. He compares the blind leaders of the blind to those who lack compassion for the lost, suggesting that it is evidence of their own spiritual condition. The preacher shares a personal story of his father passionately warning someone about their impending damnation, highlighting the desperation for souls that should be present in Christians. He also discusses the need for judgment to begin in the house of God, as the church's indifference and failure to confront sin has allowed for the rise of unfaithful preachers and worldly living.
Sermon Transcription
Thank you. Can we just bow for a moment of prayer, please? Father, in mercy on all of us, come now, wash me afresh in the blood, anoint me, and come and visit our hearts by the working of the Holy Ghost. Visit every heart, take the hardest heart here tonight, and completely crush it and smash it. Each one, even if we don't know how hard we are, against truth reaching the innermost being and transforming us to explode in this world as lights for Christ. In Jesus Christ's name, for his glory, Amen. I will read numbers of scriptures, please don't bother to turn, just listen, for I think you all probably can quote every word I'm going to refer to. But listen carefully, especially the children that are here tonight. So, we read in Jude verse 14, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of saints to execute judgment upon all, upon all, and to convince, that is to remind or bring to their remembrance, all, all that are ungodly among them, of all their ungodly deeds, which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches, that is blasphemous, arrogant statements, which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. In Revelation 20 verse 10, And I saw a great white throne, I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead small and great stand, children and grown-ups, I saw the dead small and great stand before God. And the books were opened, and another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. The dead were judged out of those things, which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them, and they were judged, every man, according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, and whosoever was not found, written in the book of life, whosoever was not found, written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire and the brimstone, which is the second death. Staggering words. Cast, there's no mercy. It's a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God. If you have not prepared to meet with God God's way, it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God. There's no mercy in those hands, though for all eternity the Mark shall never ever leave as witness that he tasted death for every man. But every single man who is not prepared to meet with God God's way, it's a fearful thing to fall into those hands. Whosoever was not found, written in the book of life, was cast, there's no mercy here, into the lake that burned with fire and brimstone. Hebrews 9 verse 7, it is appointed, it is appointed unto men once to die. But after this, after this, the judgment. Oh, God lied. It is appointed unto men once to die. But after this, the holy book declares the judgment, the judgment. 2 Thessalonians 1 verse 9, he will return in flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, from the glory of his power. 2 Corinthians 5 verse 11, knowing therefore, knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men. Knowing, knowing therefore the terror, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men. General William Booth, General William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, he cried, Oh, that God would hang every Christian over the flames of hell. Oh, that God would hang every Christian over the flames of hell for one minute. The whole world would be evangelized within a few months. Booth cried. Jude verse 22, of some have compassion, making a difference of others, save with fear, pulling them out of the fire. Has anyone ever seen that written across your life? Since you've been saved from hell. They could recognize you by what God says you should be once you've been saved. Of some have compassion, making a difference of others, save with fear, pulling them out of the fire. I am made all things to all men, Paul said. If I might by all means save some, 1 Corinthians 9, 22, I am made all things, all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. I would by all means seek to save. I would by all means seek to save the fearful, proud, the fearful, proud with great compassion. What do I mean by the fearful, proud? What do I mean by the fearful, proud? My wife's father, his name is Yanni LaRue from the French Huguenots, who escaped persecution and death from Europe. When they fled to America and Africa or died. And so the French Huguenots, to keep their faith and not be persecuted, went to Africa and their masses. One of their descendants is my father-in-law, Yanni LaRue. He said something with me that stunned me. He said when he was a boy, a little boy, how old are you? Eleven, stand up. Yes, turn around. I'm going to embarrass you like you'll never be embarrassed again. Sit. That's what an eleven-year-old boy looks like. That's probably the age. Okay. When he was a boy, Yanni LaRue said he was swimming in a lake. And he said suddenly he realized the river's current going through the center of the lake was drawing him out. And he didn't have the strength to stop it as he was going. And suddenly he found himself going under the water. And his strength was going and his panic. And Yanni LaRue said he was swallowing water, just gulping water and going under again. And numbness came. And he looked and people were there. And he said something terrible happened that he never knew about himself. He refused to cry for help out of pride. He said he refused to cry for help out of pride. There were people there that he could have cried to help for, but he knew he was perishing. He knew he was about to drown. And as he went under the last time, he had not called for help through pride. Someone, by God's mercy, sensed what was happening and somehow made it and went under the water, down, down, and retrieved this body. They somehow got it to the shore. And after much attempt, he was mercifully resuscitated and lived. But Yanni LaRue, that boy, said that for years, for years there was not a day that he didn't somewhere along that day stop. And it's like a shuddering through him of shock and fear. And pride would let him perish. It was in him that he would have perished through pride rather than acknowledge his need for help. I would become all things to all men if by all means I might save some. I would become all things, no matter what it costs me, to save the fearful proud in their masses who will not acknowledge, who stand with pride outwardly but inwardly. They are trembling at the thought of eternity and they will not ever acknowledge their need. Somehow they will never ever, even though they perish for eternity. That is a staggering thing. That is a staggering thing. Brother, we need to seek to be made by God all things to all men that we might by all means save even the tragic, fearful proud in their masses, though outwardly they will not acknowledge their desperate need of salvation. I would study to show myself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth in my attempt to become all things that I might save all men, that I can in any means be used by God to save that come my way. I would study to show myself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed. What does that mean? I know a boy called Philip Patow, another young boy. How old are you? Stand up. There you are. Turn around and face him. I'm getting you to taste what it is like to be a preacher. And then you're ruined for anything. Sit. Okay. Now, Philip was his age. He was the youngest of a family. His brothers were up here, all farmers. And he was a delightful child. He was the darling of the family. All the brothers. Oh, especially of his daddy and mommy. He was the darling of the home. He was so delightful, this boy. But he did something very strange. On Christmas Day, on their farmlands, there's a lake. And Philip Patow, without his mommy and daddy's consent or even asking him, dives into the water and began to swim. Strongly as he could for the other side. Mother and father suddenly looked and said, What is he doing? And the brothers, one said, He said he's swimming to the other side. His mother said, But he cannot make it. You know that. He'll never make it. He's not strong enough. Go, go quickly. Just don't stand there. Run. He'll never make it. He'll drown. So the boys dived in and started swimming to try and reach him. One brother did, as Philip was going under. Have you ever been near a drowning man, a man who knows he's about to perish? This is the great tragedy of it. You're in danger. Try to rescue him. Because in his despair, in his total desperation, Philip grabbed hold of his brother and pulled him down with him. Pulled him under. In his despair, he didn't just resign and say, Take me back. Because when you really are desperate, you just do the strangest things in your attempt to stay alive. The person in danger most is the person who comes near you. And this, Philip pulled his brother down. And the brother eventually pushed him away and watched him drown. That young man never recovered. From the heartache that went into his heart that moment. After all these years, there's something so sorrowful about that boy. Listen carefully. When the Jehovah Witness comes to your door, don't you be so spiritual, as I've heard some amazing theologians say. There's scriptures I could hide behind, you know, that I mustn't invite him in. It would be a wrong thing to do against God's will because of his blasphemous doctrines. Sure, you'll find in the biggest, most established churches, there's worse blasphemy going on as far as what they believe. So you won't be able to lend to anybody if you want to hide behind that. Well, I want to tell you the main reason why most Christians will not let a Jehovah Witness come into the door. Because they are not prepared. They don't know the answers. Because they don't care. They haven't prepared themselves to be used by God. So they angrily turn them away, with resentment that they even came to the door. There's no compassion on the person's soul. My daddy, my darling daddy, my daddy was saved when he was 50 years old. He lived for nine years, but he turned the world upside down, as few people in history have ever done. They're still trying to recover from my father's life. And multitudes across the world have found Christ through his life. Trust me, across the entire world, he was such a man of God. In those nine years, he left everybody behind. But my daddy... It seems when you get saved late, you, with a vengeance, come and leave everybody behind that was saved when they were six years old. It won't come near you, what you do for God, in the few years you've got. My daddy took hold of this book. He went through it 68 times. In nine years. From cover to cover, including many of the greatest books and documents of our faith, he devoured God in his love and pursuit of God. But my daddy wanted souls. And I will never forget when Jehovah Witnesses actually came to our door. What do you do? Be honest. Daddy opened the door. Are you truly a Jehovah Witness? Are you really a Jehovah Witness? The real Jehovah? Come in! I've been praying. God will change you. Please come in. Now they were a bit uncomfortable, because normally they get sued away or cursed. So they come in now. This is a bit strange. Sit down. You want tea? I get some cake and tea. It's my mother to do all sorts of things. Now you're sitting. Daddy says, I have been praying. I have been praying, and I am prepared. I ask God to prepare me to win your souls from hell. And I hope God sends you. Now! And he starts. Mother was there. I wasn't. Mother said, you should have seen these two. The one man was just here. He lost control. They start pushing this younger fellow out the door, and they start running. Daddy says, don't go! I've been waiting all this time. I'm prepared. Don't go! Are you desperate for souls? Do you do the same? Have you prepared yourself? Oh, by the way, do you know what Daddy did say? As the neighbors were all standing, looking at my Daddy, he wasn't doing a soft thing. He was crying, you're going to hell! Don't run! The neighbors were fearful of Daddy. Trust me, the whole neighborhood in the end. But, he said these words, you're the younger one. I believe, that there's always a younger one. That means you haven't been brainwashed yet. The other one can hardly be reached but you. You're the one I'm crying to. Why is he running? Ask yourself! All I was doing was quoting scriptures that he couldn't stand. Let alone answer. Why is he running from God's word? You are in trouble if a man that you're standing with runs from God's word. Get away from him, he'll take you straight to hell! Do you know that the leading Jehovah Witness of Southern Africa, the leading Jehovah Witness of Southern Africa, that's a big continent, sir. He was the head, he was feared by multitudes. He came to Christ. He's a close friend of mine. I was sitting with him weeping the other day about three weeks before I came to your country. The man said to me, brother, there is no Jehovah Witness on earth that cannot be one to God. The only problem is the Christians don't have the answers because they haven't taken the trouble to learn. If only we prepared ourselves, there's not one that you can't win, sir. The Christians just don't care. I would study to show myself approved unto God, a workman. That's what you are if you're saved, for other souls that needeth not to be ashamed! You see, they're so good with their answers, and if you haven't, you could be staggered. So you push them away for fear of being going under with them. In your faith, would you become all things? Have you? Do you care? Answer God. Answer God. If a blind man, if a blind man was walking toward the edge of a treacherous cliff, any person with any sense of honor, responsibility, or conscience would cry out fearfully to stop him, to warn him of his danger that he is in. But Jesus, He spoke of the blind leaders, leaders of the blind. They have no sense of urgency, sir, for they do not see or believe the danger souls are in. Beloved, if a professing Christian, even if he is an ordained preacher, has no sense of urgency or compassion for the lost, it is tragic and fearful evidence that he is lost himself. No one to repeat that. In case you fall into that category and aren't willing at this point to even think of it, you're a possible idiot. If a professing Christian, even if he is an ordained preacher, has no sense of urgency or compassion for the lost, it is tragic and fearful evidence that he himself is lost. How can you know that souls everywhere around you are one step from hell and not warn them compassionately and retain a testimony? David Livingston cried, you are either a missionary or you are a mission field. I agree. Which one are you? Are you a missionary? If you're not, you're a mission field. For God's sake, wake up to it. You are either a missionary or you are a mission field. Spurgeon, the great Spurgeon, cried from his famous pulpit in London, a Christian is either a missionary or an imposter. Are you? What are you of those two? I am come to seek and to save those that are lost, them that are lost, Christ said, and beloved, the love of Christ constraineth us if he is in us. And if you have not the spirit of Christ dwelling in you, you are none of his. You say Christ is in you. The love of Christ then constraineth us. 2 Corinthians 5 verse 14. We cannot be rightly related to God if we are not swiftly recognized in this world as compassionate men and women that winneth souls. Proverbs 11 verse 13. That turn many away from iniquity. Malachi 2 verse 1. That turn many to righteousness. Daniel 12 verse 3. Have you turned any to righteousness since you declare you were made righteous? You say you are righteous, sir. Tell me, have you turned any? You have everything you need and a sinner needs because you declare you took those steps and you don't turn any. You have turned none. That is obnoxious. 2 Corinthians 5 verse 20. For if we are reconciled to God, beloved, in truth, we are immediately transformed into ambassadors for Christ. I do not see how you cannot read that. The moment you are in Christ, the moment that you are reconciled to God, you are given the ministry of reconciliation in one breath. He didn't take the next sentence. If you are reconciled to God, God gives you that moment, the responsibility of every soul you come near on earth that you can witness to. Oh, I doubt you have been reconciled to God. God's way. We are immediately transformed into ambassadors for Christ as though God did beseech you by us. We pray you in Christ's stead be reconciled to God. Has that ever been written across your life since you say you've been reconciled to God? As though God did beseech you as if it was God himself begging you, imploring you. We pray you in the place of Christ, in Christ's stead, as if in the place of Christ we urge you, we beg you, be you reconciled to God. When did you say that to a soul? When did anyone hear that urgency as if it was God that they become conscious? This is a man, but God's crying to me through this man. Has that ever happened in your life, sir? John Wesley, evangel of the burning heart, was reportedly asked by a fellow preacher how to gain, how to gain the attention of lost sinners to the degree that Wesley had thousands flock to him. Do you know when Wesley was coming? An hour before he arrived, in town after town, every single person had stopped work. No one was left in the houses. The entire community and their thousands was waiting, waiting, waiting. Evangel of the burning heart, he was asked by a fellow preacher, how to gain, how to gain the attention of sinners to the degree that he did. And Wesley said these words. He replied, if a preacher is on fire, I love that word, sinners will come swiftly to see the flames. What it's all about. If a preacher is on fire, sinners will come to see the flames. One of Wesley's biographers called him a man out of breath pursuing souls. A man out of breath pursuing souls. Has anyone ever seen that in your life since God saved you by his blood from hell? A man out of breath pursuing souls. On the grave of Adam Clark, early Methodist scholar and prodigy of Wesley, are the words in living for others. I am burned away. He was 38 when he died. Burned out for God. The great George Whitfield cried, it is a mercy we have not seen hell, but as you consider the fearful scriptures in this holy book concerning hell, can you blame us for calling after you, for spending and being spent for your souls? It is easy for you to come and hear the gospel, but you do not know the nights and the days, the pangs of grief in our hearts that prevail in the prayer for your souls. O men, hearken, God help you. Seek his salvation, I implore you. I urgently implore you. The great Whitfield cried, O sinner, death is upon you. You are every moment in danger of being seized by the formidable justice of God for eternal burnings. If you die unpardoned, you are sent among devils damned and to torment, and must undergo a fearful punishment and an eternal one, which is reserved for the workers of iniquity. O sinner, this is thy lamentable case. And knowing this, how canst thou do any other than make that solicitous inquiry? What must I do to be unsaved, knowing the terror of the Lord? O be persuaded, sinner! O lust, sinner, be persuaded now! The great Cotton Mailer, 1615-1691, cried as he preached, Give me a love that leads the way, the faith that nothing can dismay, the hope no disappointments tire, the passion that will burn like fire. Let me not sink to be a clod! Make me thy fuel, flame of God! Amy Carmichael, and let me really shock you. According to the leaders of the world missions, two-thirds of the full-time force for God in evangelical work worldwide are women, because the men don't want to die like them, riddled with diseases through India and Africa. What other reason do you want to tell me they're the most in full-time capacity? Leonard Ravenhill, the great Levin Ravenhill, cried, We Christians, we Christians are debtors to all men, at all times, in all places. But we are tragically, willfully smug to the lostness of men. We are callously indifferent. As the lax, lazy Laodiceans, we are challenging God to spew us out of His mouth! Why is there at present amongst us this criminal indifference to the lostness of men? And criminal it is, he cried. Are we pitiably unsure of the fearful truth? Are we pitiably unsure of the fearful truth of the Bible concerning the lost? Are we pitiably unsure of the fearful truth of the Bible concerning the lost? Are we so stony hearted that God's threats herein do not disturb us? Oh, our whole sense of values must be revolutionized! We need to redirect our talents before they are everlastingly taken from us. This is the hour. Tomorrow may not be ours, Church of God. Oh, wind of God, come and blow up this suffocating indifference that chokes the channels of service to lost men. The great Reverend Hill cried. And oh, what of the pitiful state of our preachers today? What of the pitiful state of our preachers today who stand in the pulpits worldwide unconverted, liberal apostate? The preachers of old fearlessly cried, Turn or burn! You cry that today, you'll burn. Then you'll be stunned who lights the fire, always, without exception. Preacher, the Pharisees are alive and well on planet Earth today. It is the religious leaders of God's ordained religion that crucified Christ. And the same source will crucify you today in this apostate hypocritical age. In the last days, I believe we're there. There will be a mass falling away, the Bible says. Not of Church attendance. No ways. But from the uncompromising truth within the pages of this Holy Book being proclaimed faithfully and fearlessly. In the last days, there will be a mass falling away, God says. Not from Church attendance, sir. But from the uncompromising truth within the pages of this Holy Book being proclaimed faithfully and fearlessly. But this Holy Book suffers more from its exponents than from its opponents. This Holy Book suffers more from its exponents than from its opponents in this apostate age. The great Leonard Ravenhill cried, the greatest danger the lost face today worldwide. Stand behind the pulpits of the Christian Church. Blind leaders of the blind. They are preachers who walk into the pulpit with the Holy Book's authority in their hands, but refuse to preach its fearful contents and warnings to anyone. And as a result, Derek Milton said, I was in his pulpit a few weeks ago. What a man of God. As a result, the majority of American people believe in justification by church attendance alone rather than justification by faith alone. As a result, the majority of American people believe in justification by church attendance alone rather than justification by faith alone. He went on to say that God beloved by most Americans has no capacity for anger only for tolerance. Their allegiance cleaves to the American concept, not the biblical reality of God. Most preachers find the gospel too negative, hence they leave it out of their theology. Throughout the world today, this godly man Derek Milton witnessed and wept before me, and I wrote it down to preach. But he won't preach. Peter wrote, the time has come that judgment must begin at the house of God. That's a staggering statement. The time has come that judgment must begin at the house of God. Much of the blame for world conditions lies at the door of the church. Our indifference, our neglect, our failure to cry out against iniquity have encouraged the devil. Unfaithful preachers, modernism, worldliness, unholy living have disgraced the house of God. And he must, like the savior of all, first cleanse the temple. God's house has become a den of thieves worldwide. It's time for the whip of judgment. Vance Huffner, what a man of God he was. He died in 1986. If you preach, if you would preach the truth and the uncompromising standard of this holy book, beloved, today the compromising evangelical churches worldwide will seek to destroy you. Don't doubt it. Jesus fortified his disciples when he sent them forth and said, I send you forth as lambs among wolves, Luke 10 3. Now you want a staggering study about the word wolves. Go, just the New Testament alone, what God says about wolves. It's always the religious leaders from the leading force totally down that he calls wolves. I send you as lambs among them, this religious apostate generation. One of the greatest church leaders of our day, you will all know him. His name, I was stunned. I have been very stunned as I've looked up and seen many of the greatest preachers on earth in our generation sitting there as I preach and I have been deeply humbled by that and fearful. One of the greatest church leaders of our day said these words to me with tears pouring down his face recently. My brother Keith, if you refuse to compromise your stand on the vital teachings of this holy book and the practice of holiness you will face persecution from the liberal church worldwide today. I want to repeat it. This is not me. This is one of the greatest known names on earth in evangelical circles that has weepingly said this recently. You see it escalating like an avalanche, this apostasy and very little seems to be stopping it in the evangelical church. If you refuse to compromise your stand on the vital teachings of this holy book and the practice of holiness you will face rejection and persecution from the liberal church today worldwide brother. I have had to sadly face this in my own denomination and among many other professedly evangelical churches. It is going to increase brother so we had better be prepared for it. The emphasis now is on church growth and personal egos and not on the faithful fearless uncompromising preaching of the unadulterated word of God. I want to repeat it. The emphasis now is on church growth and personal egos not on the faithful fearless uncompromising preachers of the unadulterated word of God. Beloved we are called not to be successful. We are called to be faithful. Today you want to be successful and that means throw away anything no matter what it is in order to be successful. You are unfaithful in this world. I dare you to tell me it's not so. But the evangelical churches and movements across the world today are willing to conform to anything that will draw the crowds even if they have to throw aside the holy book. Oh not carrying it into the pulpit but the contents they won't dare let you preach. They'll crucify you trust me. Anything that offends the masses no ways even if it's God's word. So long as we keep the masses that's what we're after church growth and personal egos as actors. What draws most people to the local church today would have driven them from it less than 100 years ago the great Derek Melton said. I want to repeat it. What draws most people to the local churches worldwide today would have driven them from it less than 100 years ago. Tolerance he said and compromise from the pulpit to the pews. Tolerance and compromise from the pulpit to the pews seems to be the creed of modern evangelism. The modern day church is suffering from acute doctrinal error. This disorder has given birth to the pursuit of every whim and fad that blows across the planes of religious popularity. The liberal compromising evangelical leaders worldwide are boldly crying adapt or die to their leaders and preachers across the whole world. Loud brazenly and fearlessly. The liberal compromising evangelical leaders worldwide are boldly crying out to their denominations their congregations and their preachers adapt or die as a denomination as a movement within all evangelical conservative movement sir there has risen leaders who are pressurizing their people to adapt or die in this world. Though the bible cries out be not conformed to the world they cry we must be conformed to the world to win the world to keep the world. You cannot win the world by being like the world. The world will win you for stop. The great Ravenhill said years ago Oh we stand in danger of throwing ourselves into total apostasy under the influence and pressure of these new leaders that have risen up across the world with this pursuit of adapt or die. It would be greatly beneficial for the modern church to re-dig the old wells recovering that which has been discarded. Solid biblical orthodoxy. Derek Melton said the great Mary Peckham Mary Morrison you probably heard of her across the world probably the most used woman in history for God's glory on earth. I was privileged to know her saved in the great revivals of the Hebrides under Duncan Campbell as the people just swept to God miracles and the most amazing moving of God that shook the world. Oh she was the one that God raised up and many will not have a woman in their pulpits. Many but Martin Lloyd Jones esteemed as the greatest preacher alive in his day in the most esteemed pulpit in earth in London. He said it would be a sin if I did not let this woman stand in my pulpit and share the revivals. She sang across the world to presidents, prime ministers, premiers, dignitaries and the masses flocked to hear her as I don't know of any other woman the way God used her. She's dead now but Mary Peckham who had been formerly known as Mary Morrison she stood with me just before her death in Edinburgh no in Glasgow when I was preaching there frail and aged and ready to go and weeping the great woman said to me brother Keith I am becoming more and more out of place in this world this world is not my home but this is a tragedy brother Keith I feel mostly out of home and out of place in this world when I'm in the evangelical church they are so stooping to worldliness I long to be taken home for I feel nothing is left of what I knew to be truth she sang change and decay and all around I see oh God now that changes not if I didn't mean and people wept I don't know on occasion that woman sang that everyone didn't weep under the presence of God for she sang the sanctifying power of God upon her in a holy anointed and sanctifying manner that has long left most of the pulpits and churches of our world evangelicals entertainment entertainment is the devil's substitute for joy church of Jesus Christ the great Leonard Raven who once said but the church has unashamedly replaced the church has unashamedly replaced the priority of faithful preaching and proclaiming of God's word with entertainment worldwide including most conservative movements up to now regarded as de-escalation of this avalanche of apostasy undoes me the great Lex Buchanan one of the greatest men of God in Africa that ever stood in our land would come every now and again across the country across the land to seek me out and pray with me he said these words in his old age weeping brother Keith I used to go on my face every day for years and years and years and years and sob and weep and groan and agonize for the lost but I do not anymore I do not weep for the lost anymore brother Keith I do not groan and agonize for the lost anymore brother Keith and I just looked at him and began to weep myself out you see brother Keith I'm on my face groaning and agonizing for the state of the church the compromising apostasy oh brother how can the lost be won from what when we are like them in every aspect beginning with their entertainment you walk into the house of God today to what God saved you out of in hell when you were going to hell in the world no different the state of the church has hurled itself into such a rapid compromise it is bordering on total apostasy he said and he wept and I wept with him do know that the one conversation that ended there we didn't even say goodbye we just wept and wept and wept and wept and wept oh faithful preachers who have not bowed their knee to Baal yet Spurgeon cried to his students at the first semester of every single semester till he died of his great theological seminar that they would travel across the whole empire to Cuba Spurgeon stood up and the first words he would say to the first lecture as all the new students gathered with these words if you are not willing to face a life of ostracization of being undermined of men seeking from your first sermon to your last to catch you with your words to destroy you anything like they did for Christ there was nothing they could find nothing but they their great sin was that they went on looking till they got something to kill him out of jealous rage and hatred of the things he pronounced that they dared not because they couldn't live that their whole religion was apostasy and hypocrisy the great Spurgeon said if you are not willing to face a life preacher of being persecuted from within the church from the leaders of the church everywhere you go because you preach unflinchingly the standard of the book then I want you to stand up now he said pack your bags and go home because I offer you nothing but that if you are going to preach what this book tells us to preach that took courage didn't it John 14 verse 20 the servant is not greater than his Lord Christ said if they persecuted me they will also persecute you he wasn't saying that to 12 men he was that saying that to billions over 2000 years which seek to follow him and in its context you not persecuted by being calling yourself a Christian you will never be persecuted for that sir you will be persecuted the day you live this and preach this fully Jesus sent his servants to go into all the world to preach the gospel to every creature that is literally to every living being on earth but Satan sends his servants his counterfeits into the apostate world today into the pulpits under the banner of Christianity false prophets to go into all the world to deliberately calculatedly deny what's in this book though they stand under the banner of Christian pulpits worldwide the vital teachings of this book that a man can be saved by and they are there in their masses do you know when Christ said many false prophets shall arise and shall deceive many the Greek word there is the most under the banner of Christianity in the last days eschatology Matthew 24 everything is happening including this just before my return this will happen the most who preach under the banner of Christianity worldwide in this context will be sent by the devil I preached a sermon two years ago called Satan's servants in God's pulpits it was only scriptures I memorized close to 200 verses from beginning to end of the Bible and quoted them and it was like a time it was like a bomb hit that building I was stunned they allowed me back to America of what God says comes in the name of God of the devil appears as an angel of light don't be staggered if his ministers appear as ministers of righteousness don't we take heed to this the most who stand in the pulpits many false prophets shall arise in the last days and shall deceive many the same word the masses who gather under the banner of Christianity worldwide will be deceived by false prophets and false teachings men having itching ears they don't want any truth they want anything put a Hollywood film star up there it acts like a Hollywood film star it sings like a Hollywood film star all you've done is replace the pulpit replace the theater with the pulpit in the law of God it was buried on two occasions in Ezra's time Nehemiah in the time of the young godly king Josiah they did a wonderful thing in their godliness they found in the dust and the ruins of God's house the law and what did they do they cried out to build a temple to build a pulpit of wood that's where this thing came from that day and the priests were to sanctify themselves to the knowledge that as he listened he said sanctify yourselves that you have the right that you fit meet for the masters use and he called the nation and they brought something back he said just read the word of God the law the whole nation after a few days of just sitting and all went on their faces sobbing weeping groaning when they see how far they had gone from God's word I dare the preachers of today I dare the leaders of the world churches of today I dare you sitting here tonight no matter who you are I dare you to take up out of the dust of apostasy and worldliness and compromise of the world and personal egos been lived for and masses and crowds been drawn rather than faithful preaching of the word of God my preacher stood up in our pulpit and said these words when he was told he would never be allowed again in our pulpit this is just when I was saved a few weeks if he ever ever talked of hell again from the pulpit if he ever again talked of being born again or hell and so that church was filled to capacity everyone came what's he going to do they said he's out or they'll leave the elders the deacons so he stood and everybody oh you've all filled the church to come and see what I'm going to do because you all know they said I'll be out if I use the word hell or judgment and talk about repentance to be saved and I'm going to preach as never before and he wept as he quoted the word of God and pointed to them oh they were out and the rest of the church made sure he stayed the elders were all thrown out and the deacons every single one apart from one sorry and the years went by and I was asked to go and preach in that church as the years went by and I stood there and every single elder and deacon had been saved and came back and when I was there that night the last one stood up and said I'm the last one who fought against this man I'm the last one of all the elders and deacons the leaders of the church who said if he ever preaches this thing what's in the bible again he's out oh we're out but I've been saved too now you see brother God honors you don't you let the devil tell you that God won't honor you he honors them that honor him and he honors his word above all things you must also for God to be honored no matter what happens the old man stood that day and said I would rather have three rows of people sitting in my pews who are willing for me to preach everything God says in this book without compromise than to have a church full of hypocrites who want religion but don't want God's word to make them discomfited God give us such praises again God give us such I dare you to pull out of the ruins that are left of the house of God not the magnificent buildings that cost billions across your land for us to sit in luxury but what's left of the true church of what God intends it to be to pull out again I dare you to get the word of God to call the people to come back for one reason even if you lose most of them preach the word of God again begin with the law I've dared certain preachers who challenge me you just stand up and preach the sermon on the mount don't add a word eighty percent to ninety percent of your entire church would leave immediately before the sermons over don't add a word just read the word of God but you can't you're too scared take the book of James the book of John just read it that's all don't say a word most of your church will get up and walk out they're not willing for that they don't mind your entertainment your singers that look like the world that sing like the world and they don't mind because once you bring music into the house of God that sounds like the world even if it's the slightest taint of the world the next thing is the book you can't preach from in truth that atmosphere cancels out your right to preach truth you try it the next step if you put your hands into the wrong your music into the wrong hands in your church the next step is it can't part I don't care if you've got masses mega churches you're not successful you are a disgrace to God and humanity with your full churches if that book isn't the central uncompromising goal of your life to preach from your pulpit no matter how much forsake you I dare you oh fire of God send forth preachers again as of old men valiant for the truth men who will hazard their lives for Christ for the gospel men wonder that we don't need more preachers God keep them away to fill the gap in the world's pulpits under the ban of Christianity we need men who will be valiant for the truthful stop men who will hazard their lives for the gospel and men wonder that as they do can we stand please can we bow our heads please God take this word and if anyone's offended it's because they're guilty totally take this word and don't let it fall to the ground by thy grace hound every soul that sits in this building or that hears this message on the tapes as if it's like a vengeance sitting in the building again that they'll never escape it or find any happiness joy or fulfillment in anything of their presentation of the gospel or their Christianity until they pursue with all their heart soul and life to live this from beginning to end of the sermon in Jesus Christ's name for his glory and to somehow slow down apostasy totally taking over the evangelical church worldwide in Jesus Christ's name and for his sake we ask it amen
