Sermon Summary
In this sermon, the speaker emphasizes the importance of repentance and returning to the first works as instructed by Jesus in Revelation. The speaker shares personal experiences of witnessing miracles through faith and obedience in Canada. However, the speaker also expresses concern about the lack of tears and compassion for the lost in Western Christianity, contrasting it with the deep devotion and tears displayed by believers in persecuted nations. The speaker calls for repentance, prayer, and a return to the Word of God, urging Christians to rely on the Holy Spirit and actively share the love of God with others. The sermon concludes with a mention of a book written to help believers return to the early church principles and a reminder that it is freely available.
Sermon Transcription
I want to say again that all of this was done by our mighty and incredible God. He permitted me to travel 16,000 kilometers or 10,000 miles. He allowed me to speak 56 times while traveling and He brought many people to the Lord and much conviction and what a great joy it was to meet so many committed dear sisters and brothers. But at the same time, I also observed what was happening and what is going on in America. The pastor asked me these questions on return to Canada, and he asked, What did the Holy Spirit put in your heart when visiting the USA for 81 days, even as the Lord allowed you to minister to God's people from one state to another? Was there something that stood out which you felt the Lord telling the church as you listened to Him? I responded to him. Number one, the church needs to awaken in America and turn from its lukewarmness. Only 6 to 9% of American Christians are now believing that the Bible is infallible and that Jesus Christ is the only way. The church has sinned. We have sinned, not living and doing the work of God. Then number two, the church in America must prepare for persecution because American true Christians are now officially classified with extremists in the class of terrorists by the FBI and Homeland Security in the United States. True Christians love their enemies and do good to them, yet we are starting to be hated. Jesus said this would happen. We know many of the other things already. We know about the American school system, the government and the courts, the Bible, the Ten Commandments, Jesus Christ. All are no longer welcome. The Army, Air Force and Navy bases are being changed and the military forces of the country are being made atheistic. And the question is, who is next? The President of the United States has made the following statements. Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation. We do not consider ourselves a Christian nation, he said. His definition of sin is being out of alignment with my values. He said the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam. He said the sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer. On YouTube, he's quoted to have said in Arabic, I am a Muslim. Since I do not speak Arabic, I cannot confirm the latter. Now, beloved, according to Romans chapter 13, all authority is appointed by God and so we must uphold our leaders in prayer. There's not a prayer against political leadership in the New Testament. Number three, the United States is now printing money at the rate of $85 billion a month, which has no economic value. In Germany, after the First World War, money became useless because of printing money like this. Number four, true military exercises have been observed in American cities. The government is practicing to contain the population if and when there's unrest, perhaps due to economic failure, martial law will be implemented. I believe we know the killing of the unborn and that the United States is the number one exporter of pornographic materials in the world. Will God stand by? I believe that the judgment of God has started. In Romans 1, 18 to 32, speaks of the wrath of God and the reprobate mind. We have been given to uncleanness and reprobate minds. According to Judges 2, 14, God gives us eventually into the hands of the enemy. This appears to be happening in the United States. Now, beloved, even so, I mentioned all of these things. I love America very much. I have been saved by an American soldier giving me blood and also weep for myself. I find I am affected by humanism and a reprobate mind. I have few tears, if any, for babies being killed. I have a hardened heart not to witness. I do not shed tears for my lost neighbors. I do not shed tears when reading the Word of God, as my beloved sisters and brothers do in persecuted nations. When we see their videotapes and they worship, tears are running down their faces in the presence of God. I do not have tears anymore, brothers and sisters. Oh, God, have mercy on me. Then this pastor asked me, as a church, are we doing what the Lord is calling us to do? And my response is, the underground church tells Americans that we only do about 20 percent of the Word of God. I found prevailing prayer a few times in 81 days. Some of my sisters wept on a revival prayer call. When Pastor Dan Bizer and I prayed for a time in West Virginia, we wept. There was a humble prayer meeting with seven pastors from different denominations seeking forgiveness. I find that only about one percent of the church is witnessing and sharing their faith. I was out on the streets in Patterson, New Jersey, the Bronx, in New York, in Austin, Texas, and in Atlanta, Georgia, seven times. There are thousands of churches in each area, and I only saw a few Christians on the street. This pastor asked me, what do you think is the role of the church in these last days? And I responded, we must repent and turn from our lukewarmness. We must repent, pray, and turn around. We must start doing the Word of God, and we must start repenting for the Holy Spirit to help us, and we must depend on him to help us love and witness. We must pray for revival and repent and ask for the mercy of God. Jeremiah 18 says, if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will repent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it. That pastor wrote me and said, my heart is broken for a fear we have not done enough to evangelize the lost. What do we do? We must do by going out and sharing the love of God and the love of Jesus in highways and byways. That requires obedience. It requires loving our neighbors and relying on his Holy Spirit. Now, he then asked the last question, and he said, what is it that makes us not be like the early Christians who traveled all around talking about the love of Christ? Is there something we can do to get back to the basics and let everybody hear about Christ? And I responded that most Christians have fallen away from early church principles. We practice our own ways. Later, this led to denominational separation. This was never intended by the Lord. There has been a falling away from God and the loss of our first love. A brother and friend of mine and I have assimilated and written a book to help sisters and brothers get back to the early church principles. It is called Principles for the Gathering of Believers under the Headship of Christ. It is freely available, free of charge. We do not get royalties. There are comparisons in this book between Western Christianity and the Christianity found in the underground churches of China, Iran, and North Korea. All starts with repentance. Witnessing starts with the power of God and his Holy Spirit in accordance in Acts 1.8. Jesus said in Revelation chapter 2.5, remember, repent, and redo the first works. Beloved, we started out with putting our foot in the water by faith. When I put my foot in the water in Canada by faith and obedience, many miracles happened. I traveled 81 days and the Lord allowed me to speak many times. And again, this story is about God and not about man. It's not about me. The Ark of God went missing about 597 before Christ when the Babylonians destroyed Jerusalem and Solomon's temple. When the curtain ripped in half in the temple when Jesus died, it exposed the Holy of Holies, which was empty of the Ark of God. Jesus said in John chapter 14, verse 23, Jesus answered and said to him, if anyone loves me, he will keep my word and my father will love him and we will come to him and make our home with him. And first Corinthians 3.16 says, do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? And second Corinthians 6.16 says, and what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said, I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God and they shall be my people. Beloved, we have the Ark of God inside of us. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are with us. We need to deny ourselves. We need to be a living sacrifice and we need to be broken before the throne of God for him to shine through us. Beloved, you might ask, what can we do against this avalanche of evil that is happening? You can stand at the river of adversity and touch the waters with your souls. If you have faith and I have faith, the Lord will pour such waters. Will you form a river of righteousness with me just being one little droplet of water but shining with the temple of God inside that water droplet of righteousness? The walls of America are down and judgment has started. Can we not pray together asking God to help us pick up just one stone each of the stones that have been broken and to put them back in the walls of America? Which stone should you put back, you ask? It is the stone that God gave into your hands for each one of us has ministry gifts. Let them so shine. You have at least one or more gifts of the Holy Spirit. Let them shine in a dark hill. May you be the salt and the light. May I be the salt and the light in our respective nations. May you remember that the power of a holy God, the power of the universe is in you and me. May we so love as Christ loved us and may all of us touch the water anew with the soles of our feet. Will we have faith? Will God find faith when he returns to this earth? And beloved, many of you are much younger than I am and I can only encourage you that God is with you if you want to step out in faith and God is with me as we step out in faith together. May the Lord be with us and have yet mercy on our nations. Let us close in prayer. Father, I thank you so much for your holy and incredible word, Lord. I pray that you would renew my faith, that you would help me to be faithful, that I would speak words of life, that I would speak words of life on a dark hill, that I would be salt and light still, Lord, and help me to do your will that you might be glorified in Christ's name. Amen.
