Driving Away the Vultures
Brian Guerin

Brian Guerin (birth year unknown–present). Brian Guerin is an American pastor, author, and founder of Bridal Glory International and Ascend Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Raised in a non-religious home, he became a Christian in college after a profound spiritual experience he described as a divine encounter with a falcon, which ignited his pursuit of intimacy with God. Guerin serves as the senior leader of Ascend Church, where his preaching emphasizes a deep relationship with Jesus, the power of God’s presence, and preparing believers for Christ’s return. He founded Ascend Academy, a ministry school, and travels globally, speaking at conferences and on platforms like TBN and GOD-TV, often highlighting signs, wonders, and prophetic insights. His books, including God of Wonders: Experiencing God’s Voice Through Signs, Wonders, and Miracles, To Know Him: Discovering Experiential Intimacy with God, The Altar: Preparing for the Return of Jesus Christ, and Divine Encounter, focus on spiritual growth and encountering God. Known for sermons like “Mary’s at His Feet” and “The Secret Place,” he encourages distraction-free prayer and devotion, drawing from Scriptures like Luke 10:41–42 and Matthew 6:6. Guerin’s ministry seeks to draw the Church into closeness with Christ, which he calls the “highest prize in life.” He said, “Your heart can burn, and you still not know Him.”

Sermon Summary
Brian Guerin emphasizes the necessity of driving away the 'vultures' in our lives that threaten to take away the promises of God, using the story of Abram as a foundation. He explains that just as Abram had to protect his sacrifice from vultures, we too must guard our hearts and minds against doubt, fear, and unbelief to fully inherit God's blessings. Guerin encourages the congregation to remain steadfast in faith and to actively participate in God's promises through obedience and giving. He highlights the importance of communion as a means to reconnect with the sacrifice of Jesus, which empowers us to live in abundance and health. Ultimately, the sermon calls for a renewed mindset that aligns with God's truth to unlock the fullness of His blessings.

Okay, give you a quick opportunity to give. You should have an offering envelope on your seats and we're really excited with all the Lord's doing. So we're only four months in as a church and so grateful, look, he's already been healing bodies, seeing the lost saved, being taught and trained by the word and falling more in love with Jesus as we grow as a family together deep in him and just wanna give you an opportunity to give. If this is not your house, you don't wanna tithe here, you wanna save that for where you attend. But we'll pray and here in a second, we'll just, you can go ahead and bring up the baskets if you don't mind, that'd be great. And after we pray and you fill them out, you'll have the opportunity to give in the baskets. You could be gracious and let each other out of the aisles. And then we also, as you can see, you have ways to give online with the QR code. Online, AscendChurchATL, I think backslash, give forward slash, I always get that. Is that forward slash? Forward slash. Yeah, we don't backslide, I need to remember that. We forward. And text again. So yeah, I'm really excited. Many of you are thinking, man, what are y'all doing? Y'all can't fit in here. Yeah, so part of that, if anybody was at the formal dinner last night, just was amazing. Yes, look, we'll have pictures out and the students just look like a million bucks. I mean, they were just walking the runway and turning. No, not really, but everybody looked amazing. I got a tie on my son, Judah, it's a miracle. Milestones. But it was just incredible, so proud of our team that put that on, it was just seamless. And bro, Caleb, do you mind sharing? Sorry to put you on the spot. Look, this is Caleb Seal. I believe him and his beautiful wife and children will be here soon. They're out of state currently still, but look, you can't get, a lot of our students, they're just dangerous. You just can't let them out of your sight for one second. And so the catering team that was hired out to serve the dinner, sure enough, Caleb's all lost over there prophesying, healing the sick and stuff, but if you don't mind sharing with them that precious story, I guess Virginia and whatever else. Yeah, so quick funny part. So I went to prophesy over this lady, Miss Virginia. I don't know if she's here or not, but I had a picture of her son and she doesn't have a son. So that was fun. She has a daughter. So completely missed it. I was like, well, you got a kid. Like there's a good start. And so it went to prophesy over her. And then I got a word of knowledge about her leg. And so she had some really bad, like trouble with her leg and Jesus completely healed her leg and she's flipping her leg back and forth. And she went and got her other catering team, two or three of them. They're like, look what happened. You won't believe it. So we got to pray over them too, so. Wow, come on. Come on Jesus, so, so good. The Lord's just moving it so powerfully. Love Caleb, look, man. He just walks in such humility, loves the Lord deeply and so proud of all of our students. But any of you that were over there last night saw that we began construction. There's an event center for many of you that don't know, another building back here, 11,000 square feet. And even if the Lord puts it on your heart this morning to sow towards that, we're breaking ground. So greatly appreciate it or prayer or both would mean so much. Because as you can see, we're slowly going in that direction. Definitely our conferences first, as this is kind of what happens every conference. And then our church is looking like it's, it may go there too pretty quickly. So anyway, let's pray. And I want to believe for the Lord to open up the heavens over your life, financially and bless you in return. Galatians six says, as a man sow, shall he reap. Luke six says, the measure you give will be measured, given back to you. Press down, shaking together, running over. We're going to believe for increase in abundance. So God, thank you for each and every one of these amazing families, men and women of God here today and online across the world, our extended family. I pray that you'd bless them right now as they give into your word, your kingdom, your soil, what you are doing. You build your church, God. Help us just obey well and be glorified in return. God, I pray for an increase over their lives, the blessing of heaven, the windows of heaven to open up, that the favor of God would increase like never before. Like never before, there'd be a supernatural shift over our lives, even in the workplace. And with revelation, ideas, and in business, and in the marketplace, everything we'd put our hand to would be blessed, going in the city and out, and so forth and so on. Be glorified through our lives, Lord, that we may love you well and represent you well on the earth. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen, awesome. We're gonna play a short Academy video and then you can give. You can... Right out of the aisle. You know, we really need to adhere to a life that walks in the word, of course, but also the manifest presence of God. You know, the Bible says, the letter alone kills, but the spirit brings life. And man, we need his presence. But sometimes you can get a little top-heavy through knowledge and you start to lack presence, tangible, intimate, relational presence. And may we always be a people that abide in him. Sometimes you get around people, you're like, man, there's something on them. And then you start to talk about Jesus and you realize, okay, I get it now. They abide deep in the vine. This bunch is like no other. You're starting to see the Lord's for real raising up his bride for his son. And they mean business, but yet it's so beautiful. Going deep in community together, both online and in person, deep in the word, the spirit falling madly in love with Jesus. Where's Jesus? It's awesome. You guys get to see what I see the whole time. You know all this, are you watching that? Oh, it's perfect. It's perfect. That's so cool. You can be sneaky peeking my notes though. You know what I'm saying? I'm teasing. Do you have small font? Shireen said, that's brilliant. Shireen walks in that Solomonic wisdom. I'm going to shrink it up. Y'all can't see that. I'm totally teasing. Okay, I want to talk to you from my heart, try and condense it, but make it good. And then like I said, hopefully we'll land it with communion and step into a window together in the Lord. I'll touch on it again later towards the end, but communion is so powerful. I want to raise your expectation. Literally, it's a real time window to encounter the Lord that was given. That's a command in scripture. Super, super important. But I want to pick up from last week, if anybody was not here, just to recap, because I'm kind of, this is sort of like an unofficial, official, oh, thanks babe, series. My daughter brought my Joe, if I need that. But anyway, it's kind of, I wasn't planning it, but it's working this way towards like a series, I guess. But last week in Genesis 15, some of you may have remembered that was with us, I touched on, can you maybe turn me up a little bit? Or I guess I'm used to hearing the stage monitors, that's probably what it is. Can you guys hear me good? Oh, good, okay. With Abram, you know, he is, just comes off the back end of running in with Melchizedek. He's got Lot, Lot's tagging along, the blessing of God, but he's left the land of Ur going to who knows where. Can you imagine? Sarah's like, hey, Abram, what are we doing? He's like, I don't know, really. I just know he said to leave. And has God ever put you in that spot? You're like, babe, just trust me. She's like, I don't know if I trust you. I didn't hear what you heard. And it's just this whole like, and the Lord's sitting back kind of just getting, you getting to be entertained. Hey, y'all definitely see that really landed over here. So I don't know why he does that, but typically he does not show you the end or from the beginning. And it's really in his goodness and kindness and love. But you fast forward and Abram gets into this dialogue with the Lord and he says, look, you know, God's like, look, I will be your reward, exceedingly great reward. Don't worry. He says, don't fear. Abram's like, amazing, thank you, Lord. But how practically is that going to work out? Because in our day and age, an inheritance can only be obtained through an offspring. I don't have anything. And other than the servant of my house. And so he begins to dialogue with the Lord. And Abram says, how will I know? God says, bring me a three-year-old heifer, three-year-old female goat. It's very specific, super calculated. Male ram, turtledove, and a young pigeon. And I broke it down all last week as a little bit more top heavy with teaching. But this week, hopefully I want to bring more, let it hit home with us, how that applies. And I explained how the three years, I believe was a depiction of the three years of Jesus' earthly ministry. They all were cut in two, which is only done in sin offerings. Burnt offerings go out of their way in Leviticus, like I think one, to where you do not separate the turtledove or the pigeon totally apart. It's a burnt offering. It's the life of submission given up. And so this whole thing where God foreknew what Abram's about to step into with his mistakes and his yieldedness. And he just covers it all in the blood of Jesus. It's incredible. It's just this incredible thing that blew my mind, how God's like, look, and after that chapter is when they produce Ishmael, and then obey and produce Isaac, and everything starts to play out. And I feel like God was like, look, my son's been crucified before the foundations of the earth. Everything's in him, everything. Your mistakes are covered, your obedience is empowered, and your offspring is blessed and multiplied all through him. As soon as you get outside of that covenant, the new covenant, now we're talking about, nothing works, it's all in him. And that's where I'm really getting at. And I want to reiterate again, I touched on this last week, but I never condone loose living. So when I say your sins have been covered, biblically it's truth, but also you have to match them up to all the other verses that talk about live holy, be perfect as he's perfect, be holy as he's holy. Throw off those sins that so easily entangle you. We walk a highway of holiness. But sometimes you make mistakes and produce Ishmael in trying to walk out the will of God and end those. He's like, yep, I saw that coming. Already had Jesus crucified for all of it, and it's amazing. And so there's this, we can turn there, Genesis 15. Genesis 15. And there's this one verse that we may camp out on in the next three weeks. This very unique, it's a unique verse, but I just see so much there. So verse nine, God says to him, he says, bring me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove and a young pigeon. Then he brought all these to him, cut them in two down the middle and placed each opposite the other, but did not cut the birds in two. And verse 11, this is what we're going to touch on. And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away. You say, what in the world? But it's so powerful. I saw this verse fresh. I was like, oh my gosh, this is so key. Again, from a new covenant lens, the driving way of the vultures in our life is absolutely vital. And I want to touch on this. I'm excited and I pray it changes all in a deep way. This morning, I can see it from so many angles, but this morning I'm going to begin on the prospering in all things from 3 John 1-2, but being whole in our body, whole in our soul, walking in the fullness of God, because this whole conversation is about the inheritance, what Abram was supposed to walk in. How many of you want to walk in the fullness of what God has for you? Well, but what God's basically saying is, look, okay, you want to know for sure how you're going to inherit it? Look at my son. It's all there. Any mistake you're about to make, it's going to be covered there, because I foreknow it and I love you, and I see you perfect through my son. I felt breath that's right there, man, that felt good. Number two, any of your obediences, your proper yieldings and followings that's me anyway, it'll be empowered there. It's all through him. Then the fruit from your obedience, I'll bless and multiply, guess how, through him. That's what the conversation is. And then, but there's this unique window of time of where the crucifixion happens, that I believe this is the first real depiction of in a beautiful way, of the Lord. Two, that brings the promises about, but if you read in this, it says, as soon as he set the sacrifice out, vultures came to take it away. And Abram, he had to play the part of driving away the vultures until later, the fire and smoke came and flowed through the parts. When the fire and smoke came, it was done, it was finished. It was sealed. And if you read before the sacrifice, God tells Abram, he says, oh, this is the land I intend to give you. It's still up for grabs. But when the sacrifice of the Lord is focused upon, and Abram does his part of keeping the vultures away from taking that sacrifice, the fire and smoke hits, and then he says, this land is yours. It's a big, big deal. It goes from potentially to tangible and real and accessible and now. And so a lot of the promises of God, what am I to inherit, Lord? How am I to know this is to be? He's gonna always point you to Jesus. It's all there, it's all there. Beautiful thing is we live on the hindsight of the new covenant, it is finished, those three words. It's done. These guys were walking out the projected blueprint of what was to come. So he's gonna point you there, but often in life, vultures come, and I'm gonna, again, hit it from a new covenant lens, and if we don't drive them away, that fire and smoke can never seal it. And the inheritance and promise is always up for grabs. And we'll get to heaven one day, and he'll be like, no, no, I prophesied that. You heard the prophecy. That word was real. I gave it, that package was hovering over you, waiting to be unlocked. But you didn't drive the vultures away, and it never got unwrapped and accessible. So we're trying to go in every area of life from what is intended to be to obtaining. Does that make sense? And so it says, and when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away. I was thinking that this is funny. Not very spiritual, but kind of connects. So I grew up just of vultures. I'm thinking nowadays, like, don't drive them away. Give me a .22 long rifle, you know what I'm saying? Just take them out. You should have seen me one day, they had some type of, I don't know birds well, but they had one on the church out there, and I was like, oh, uh-uh, no, sir. You're taking my sacrifice. No, I'm teasing. So Judah was with me, and we're picking like those burgundy rocks out of the flowerbeds. I'm like, yeah, and I'm just slinging them. He's like looking down at me like. Finally, I got one close enough, they flew off, but I'm thinking, kill them. So anyway, it's funny just to bring you back. Bring you back into my upbringing just for fun. So you all know I grew up in Louisiana. Josh would appreciate this, my man, from Wisconsin hunts and stuff. And so if you grew up in Louisiana, you typically either fish or hunt or both, or you grew up in the wrong state, like something. It's just what you do. You got pelagons, you're looking for snakes, like just what we do. And so we grew up on right backed up to endless woods, a ditch, snakes, turtles, whatever. And it was funny, I didn't know that it was illegal, I think, maybe it wasn't back then, but to kill like birds and stuff. So we had pelagons, and we'd like just go hunting for points in competition. Nowadays, I would only eat what we kill. And so I just thought it was funny, because my parents, we would get lost out in the woods with our pellet guns and just go off building bamboo huts and whatever. Yeah, I remember like a Cardinal was like five points, Blue Jays 10. I know y'all like, no, I know, I didn't know any better. So my friends were like, we had it mapped out, this competition. Squirrels were like 20 points, rabbits like 100. Oh, well, sorry, Mary's like, oh, I thought she was like, and so I'll never forget, we would just pack some snacks. My brother, he had a sweet like M16 lookalike pellet gun and the butt of his gun would open up, we could stuff snacks in there, we'd just be going all day. And we'd come back with our collection, my poor mom, we'd line up Sparrows, Robins, I mean, just be like 10, 15, 20, 30, you know? My mom would come out and be like, what in the world? That destroyed like all of everything beautiful. But we're not trying to do that anymore, we're trying to kill vultures from the New Covenant. But I remember it was funny because we'd be out there, sun's going down and my dad, you may remember this, he had an air horn, it was brilliant. You're like, dinner will be ready, we'd still be out there just getting lost in the woods and all of a sudden you hear, and he fired from the house and we'd come all rustling out of the woods and eat dinner, count up our little winnings. So, but anyway, this is real key, you know, out of the inherent word of God, spirit breathed through men, penned. He goes out of his way to put this mysterious verse of like, hold on a second, vultures come out of the sky and Abram goes out of his way to drive him. He's basically protecting the sacrifice. He's got to watch it. I'm even thinking he can't even take quick restroom breaks, nothing. He's got to, it's very vital that this thing gets sealed and often in our life, especially New Covenant lens, what Jesus has done, it is finished, it's done. The sacrifice is done. That's why God did it with Abram before he even started. He says, it's all done. You don't even know mysteriously hidden in this that I see your mistake you're about to make. But I've got that covered, I've got your obedience, blessed, offspring, multiplying, all of it. So God's so good, he like gave it to us like the winning treasure map from the start. But sometimes in our life to access the promise versus it being potential takes the driving way of vultures for that fire and smoke to come and seal it. And so I want to hit some verses and then pray and then next week we'll kind of build upon it. But I just think it's so vital that we make sure we do this because listen, I've been graced to travel a good bit. I just, meaning I see a lot, hear a lot of humanity, ethnicities, countries, all that. And as a common theme amongst mankind in the body of Christ, if we're not careful, we love to lean upon the veneer like what's seen on the outside, the gifts, the prophecy, the this, that, which we love and teach and preach. You heard Caleb goes for it, but he walks in such humility. There's more depth in character. You saw how at first he told you his mistake. He's not trying to impress you. He walks in humility as a man of character. I love that. But also in some of these things, if you can prophesy the house down, read somebody's mail, but you can't drive vultures away, I'm telling you, you'll never walk in what all God intends for you. I've seen it, I've been around it for years. I've traveled places year after year after year. And I'll see certain ones, they're very gifted on the veneer, on the outside. But in everyday life when nobody's watching, if you can't drive vultures away, you will stay in less than what God intends. And you just always wonder why you start forming false theologies to make an understanding for why you're in that season. And we're gonna get to heaven one day and God be like, man, you see my son, look at him. Holes are still in his hands to this day, glorified. It was finished, but we've got to, there's a reliance upon our part of driving the vultures away. So let's go to first Matthew 13, because I think a beautiful kind of parallel in the New Covenant is the birds of the air that steal the seed, which is the word. Isn't that interesting? I think you can kind of see it there as well. Matthew 13, verses three and four. Y'all looking at my notes? Verse three, then he spoke many things to them in parables saying, behold, a sower went out to sow and he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside and the birds came and devoured them. And if you jump down to 18 and 19, this is where Jesus makes it literal to his disciples. That was just the parable side to it. Last verse, 18 and 19. Therefore, hear the parable of the sower. When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received the seed by the wayside. The wicked one, the vultures, they come to try and take away, and who is the word? Jesus. The seed is the word, and in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God. You can see this whole, almost like the crucifixion in the depiction of the sacrifice before Abram. It's a picture of the Lord, and he is the word. And the vultures of the sky, their entire life, the enemy's trying to snatch this from your life before the fire and smoke can come. And it's so important, Mark chapter four. It's in all the synoptic gospels, this parable. Mark chapter four, again, verses three through four. Listen, exclamation mark. Jesus is like, listen, this is very important. Behold, a sower went out to sow, and it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside, and the birds of the air came and devoured it. Because you know vultures, they don't come around and just look at the sacrifice. They're coming to partake of it, remove it. And if that gets removed from our life, the power is gone. The powerful forgiveness of the Ishmael's, the power of empowerment upon the obedience in Isaac, the power of blessing and multiplication upon our Isaac, all that. If the covenant gets taken, the power is gone. And so, also, verses 14 through 15, still in Mark four. We're going to the literal. Jesus says, the sower, verse 14, the sower sows the word, and these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. I like Mark and Luke a little better, because watch, it says, when they hear Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. It's demonic, these vultures, and they come often through the thoughts of men. Remember Peter, he says, no, Lord, nobody will crucify you. Seems so innocent, pure and true. Vultures come through believers all the time. Not that you get real skeptical and all that, but you just, you kill them, you shut them down right away. When anything even smells like a vulture, I go out of my way to destroy it. In my own mind, if I hear it around my kids, I will destroy it, behead the thing. It's very detrimental. It comes to take away the sacrifice, but Peter, no, Lord, nobody. Remember, he was basically trying to take away the sacrifice. He goes, get behind me, Satan. You have the mind of man. Peter's like, man, that's tough. And that's what it does, these vultures come, and they're always trying to disconnect what Jesus has done, because listen, man, if we get this, this new covenant, it really, really is finished. I think we say it, we have the bumper stickers and the t-shirts, it's for real. It is for real. And you find some believers that know it, and are vulture killers, and the smoke and fire constantly comes, and bam, bam. The inheritance they walk in is like no other. They live the thing, not out of arrogance at all, because they know their dependency upon the Lord. It's all in the sacrifice. I have nothing to do with it. That's why I've got to destroy the vultures and get them out of here. Got to protect him. He's my everything. Everything's there. And Luke chapter eight. How many of you love the Bible? Love the word. Love the word. Verses four through five. And when a great multitude had gathered, and they'd come to him from every city, he spoke by a parable. Verse five, a sower went out to sow his seed, and as he sowed, some fell by the wayside, and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. Now, verses 11 through 12, the literal. Now, the parable is this. The seed is the word of God. Those by the wayside are the ones who hear, then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. And I love, even in these, you know, this is the passage where it says, if the seed goes in deep, that some go on to produce 30, 60, and 100 fold. But if those vultures come and steal the sacrifice before it's sealed, all of the 100 fold gets taken out of the picture. And if we're not careful, he'll come down on any part of the sacrifice that applies to your life that you'll let him. You know, you didn't see Abram calling for angels to do it, he had to do it. We have to drive him away. And in the new covenant, it looks more like the renewal of the mind. So vital. This unlocks the fire and smoke coming and sealing it. But so I have some analogies here that I just want to talk to you from my heart. But I have here, the word is what renews the mind to unlock the already paid in full sacrifice of the Lord. Through his death and resurrection, everything was paid for. It is finished, it's done. That's why Abram did that before. He sealed the deal before he even started into the journey. He bore all of our iniquities, sickness, disease, and so forth and so on. I have here, it's like the door is the promise. If you can picture a door here. I remember our academy night, I had a real door up here one time. One time I was on a sky jack in here. I'm not kidding. I was like, way up by the lights. And we were going shaka-laka-bop-bop, just praying I didn't fall. But I was trying to give a visual. But it's like the door, can you imagine a door is the promise. The key is the sacrifice that opens that door. And the renewed mind is what actually puts the key into the door to unlock it. And that renewed mind is the clearing out of the vultures. And I'm telling you, I've seen it, man. People can dream, vision, shaka-laka, and I knew this and I saw that and I love it. Do more, please. But vultures come and we're just like sitting there. And they're like, gah, coming out of the sky. Gah, constantly. How does a vulture sound? I have no idea. It's got to sound a little more wicked than that, though. That sounded kind of pretty, yeah. Like rah, maybe rah, something wicked. But if we're not careful, we just start complaining, getting out of ungratitude. Anything outside of the word that's unrenewed and not covenant, vultures, here they come. They're just looking for a doorway. Do we need to be on eggshells? No, no, we live freedom in life. But boy, we're ready to take out a vulture in a heartbeat. We live this way. I'm telling you, your children, all of it. I will on purpose, anything that gets said that's not the word, I'll obliterate it. Get out of my garden, no weeds. Because that's what disconnects the sacrifice. That's what disconnects what's already been paid. And so I have here, once that lock is unlocked and the door is opened, everything that was paid for goes from a mere promise to an accessible reality. I touched on that already. The vultures, which are the thoughts, belief patterns, and ideologies of the enemy, do all that they can to take away what the sacrifice of the Lord has already purchased by his virgin birth, death, and resurrection. It's sealed it all. It's sealed it all. And so let's go to 3 John 1, 2, please. 3 John chapter one, verse two. And I just wanna springboard from this maybe over the next few weeks, we'll see how long it takes. Because some of you know, if we're not walking in all that God intends for us, we're not reflecting truly his son. You know, I think sometimes when we talk about accessing promises, some of us are like, hold on, let's just stay on the deeper things, intimacy with the Lord. He's like, yeah, but if you love me, you'll obey me. Do you know what I'm saying? There's plenty that wanna claim deep intimacy in the talk and all, but if you're not walking in the promised land, you're in disobedience. And you're not really reflecting his son. We've gotta get into the milk and honey. We've got to get into the land. And if we, so some of this stuff really matters. It is deep and intimate. And so 3 John chapter one, verse two says this, and I think it's John the beloved. I think he might know a thing or two. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things, be in good health, even as your soul prospers. We all know this and love it, quote it. Again, I'd love to touch though that there's a may in there, meaning it can stay in the not accessible realm. That God's intentions don't become reality, but he's praying. He literally says, I pray that you may prosper in all things. And is that financially? Oh yeah, but it's many other things. It's all things. And so that's another thing until you start talking about financial, which I'm gonna hit a lot this morning. People get all, hold on, you're getting off into the tangible worldly things. No, I'm getting into kingdom things. Actually, I believe God's people, it's all over the world. The wealth of the wicked stored up for the righteous. We should be walking, prospering in all things. This is just the word. If you wanna let a vulture come in and tell you otherwise, go for it, but you're gonna wonder why a big cloud of lack is always hovering over you. I'm not getting under your cloud with you. When I talk to you, I'm gonna have an umbrella. I'm gonna be like, and I'm gonna talk to you real fast, and I'm getting out. You know what I mean? And you're like, I don't know, but, and the vultures are just pounding the sacrifice in your life, you know. But this is the word. But I love, watch this, what he, I'll turn there, 3 John 1, 2. Watch what he solidifies that verse with right after. It's all about the truth and knowing the truth and walking in the truth. It's the renewed mind. This is how, he basically says, look, I pray that you prosper in all things, be in good health. Even as your soul prospers, total soul, whole in your soul. And then he jumps straight in to watch this. Basically, this is how you do it. For I rejoice greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you. Just as you walk in the truth, I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. You see the connection? Meaning, if we don't walk in truth, what's already been done, a life free of vultures, everything he just prayed is not gonna happen. I pray that you may, but by the way, how you really unlock this and stay in this lifestyle is truth, and I'm telling you over and over in about two verses, and so it's super key. But also, I love John, you don't need to turn there, I'm gonna move quick now. John 8, 31 through 32. John 8, 31 through 32. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed him, if you abide in my word, you are my disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Now, I wanna go over what the New Covenant vultures really look like, and kind of try and uncover them, and just hit a bunch of verses, and we'll see where we will go. But I can see three main ones for sure. I believe there's many others, but the title, if you could give these attributes of these vultures in the New Covenant would be doubt, unbelief, and fear. And these come straight at the word, straight at the seed of the word, straight at the sacrifice, and if they land on that sacrifice, you're not gonna get to heaven one day and start pointing fingers at Jesus, the Father of the Holy Spirit. And be like, but, but, but, they're gonna be like, the Father and the Holy Spirit are gonna be like, are the holes still in Jesus' hands? Oh yeah, they're still there. I don't, I don't know what you're talking about, but I can see at this point in time, this chapter of your life, you weren't driving vultures away. We gave you the word, and we were trying to send the fire and smoke and seal it all, and make what was a promise come into reality, but you didn't, you know. And so doubt, unbelief, and fear. This morning I'm gonna mainly hit the prospering in all things, kinda condense it for the sake of time, and then next week I wanna hit being in good health. And then the next one's soul, being whole in our soul. And it all comes back to the new covenant. That's where we're gonna take communion this morning too, especially with our graduates in town, and just a big family doorway into the Lord together. But I wanna let you know too, if I step on anybody's toes, I don't, please hear my heart, I mean love, I just, I love the word, and I'm trying to get myself better there. I certainly haven't arrived. I'm trying to get better there. And especially next week I could see where we could get there in the being in good health, being whole. It's the word, it's all in the covenant, it's there. And these vultures are lying right now. They're coming in and landing on people's sacrifices, and it's keeping them disconnected from the full access of what God intends. But watch this. These are some of the seeds of the word in the Lord of what he's already done that we've gotta keep the vultures off of. And many of us know these, Deuteronomy 8, 18. You don't need to turn them, remove them, quit now. English Standard Version. Some of these read better, I felt, through the English Standard. Deuteronomy 8, 18. You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may confirm his covenant that he swore to your fathers as it is this day. Remember John, like I pray that all of you, that you prosper in all things. And the enemy's like, no, we can't have that. We can't have that. I can't have Josh prosper in all things with the property he's been, you know, it's one of our students, I know his story. Like Blake was talking to, the Lord's doing incredible things with them on this land and a place for heaven to hit and bring in ministers and dwell and restore, and they're ministers as well. But I can't have them buy into that right now. I can't have them buy into that God gives you the power to get wealth. I'm gonna actually bring lack and just knock on their door with it for a second, see what they think and what they do and how they handle that. If they let the vulture come, or do they wave it away? And Jeremiah 29, 11. These are the seed of the word we've gotta be brainwashed with. So consumed. So when the vultures come, we're like, oh, not a chance. Not a chance. They stand out like a sore thumb. We just remove them. But if we let mixture come in right now in this hour, obscurity comes in. And that's how vultures have access. Jeremiah 29, 11. For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare. That word studied in Hebrews, prosperity, completeness, whole, and not for evil. To give you a future and a hope. Philippians 4, 19. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Psalm 128, two. I love this one. You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands. You shall be blessed. And it shall be well with you. Period. I hear that. I'm like, anything other than that is not acceptable. I don't care what happens to the natural. I do not care. I'm not submitting to it. It's not welcome. I love, you guys have heard me tell this often. Smith Wigglesworth, what was it? His predecessor, I'm drawing a blank. Yeah, Lester Summerall. He goes, he was preaching in London for quite a while, Europe. And he became very close with Smith Wigglesworth towards the latter part of his life. And he shows up at his door. He says, and Lester Summerall was from the US, but he was in that culture for so long, he looked like him. He said he dressed the part, had the hat and the little coat like umbrella on his arm and the whole deal. Had the daily newspaper under his arm. He shows up, Smith Wigglesworth, the only book he ever read was the word. Brainwashed by the word. Very childlike. Look, we've got to go more childlike in this hour. Now is not the time to go logic and what science saying it. No, I don't care. I want the word. The supernatural kingdom and the word, period. Well, you're kind of getting a little extreme. Yeah, yeah, that's what I'm trying to do. You know what I'm saying? And that's what these guys, they all did. They got too close to Jesus and they were just gone. Gone, all of them. Martyred for their faith. And so, Lester Summerall, Wigglesworth opens the door. He says, he was a bit of a gruff man. And he didn't, how are you, Lester? None of that. He right away sees a newspaper under his arm. He goes, what's under your arm? They said Lester Summerall was a plumber up to the age of 40. Call of God came upon his life. He jumped into the word and was a madman for the gospel. Got arrested many times for healing the sick without a license to heal. Faith like you've never seen. He would, he'd say, if the Holy Spirit doesn't move, I'll move him. And he didn't mean that wrong, but biblically he knew faith works. Faith works. He'd tell people, first people jump in the aisle, you'll be healed. People just rushed it out. Sure enough, first person to step foot in the aisle, they'd be instantly healed. He pondered a baby back to life one time. Not a prayer model I recommend. Literally, he says, he literally drop ticked a baby that was dead, boom. And they go, ooh. The baby hits, rolls alive, raves from the dead. Another person, tumor in their stomach. He jacks them in the stomach. Tumor flies out. Sorry for the family that's coming in for graduation. Sheesh, I didn't think that one through too good. Anyway, wow. Jesus loves me. I'm teasing. I'm trying to tone it back down. I just, I love this stuff, man. It's the word. I promise we're normal. Not really. It's like that old sorry, not sorry thing, you know. But another one, he goes in to raise a person from the dead. They still had the dead body at their house. This is again over in Europe. All this documented, recorded. And they invited him over. They're praying, pastors, whatever. He walks in, he sees through the glass doors the dead body laid out. He didn't even say hey to anybody. Bust through the glass doors. And they hear, this was very loud, man. You could hear him like streets over when he started praying. Grab the dead body, slams him in a corner. He says, live. The body slides down, hits the floor. Picks him up again. He's the only one in there yelling. Life in you, you know, just praying. And they're going, oh my gosh, what's happening right now? He didn't understand doubt, unbelief. He wouldn't take no for an answer. We've gotta crank it up a notch in this hour. As the world's shaking and going to hell in a handbasket. No, we're going glory to glory. Raw faith, word only, pure, pure, pure bright. Third time, wham, slams him in a corner. Boom, he comes back. And he just walks out, probably has a lemonade or something. But I mean, raw, raw faith. And so, you know, the word, we gotta get it in us so we're just not shaking. Second Corinthians 9.8. And God is able to make all grace abound to you so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times. All, all, all. Well, but what about, no, all. All, all, all. That you may abound in every good work. But so and so, who's a mighty man, Lord of God. I remember the season they went through. It's not the word, though. I'm just telling you, you can't veer. Vultures will find any doorway you give them. Malachi 3.10. We know this one. This is regarding the tithe. Bring the full tithe into the storehouse that there may be food in my house. Thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts. I don't get these people that are trying to, and if you're in here, again, not trying to step on toes, love you. But are trying to find loopholes out of promises. What, why do that? They're like, I don't think tithe's for the New Testament. I'm like, are you kidding me? That is a full-blown gateway. I'm taking it. I never, there's no explicit verse that it stopped. Actually, Hebrews 7, Paul talks about Melchizedek and the tithe of Abraham to him. Jesus talks about the tithe. I'm just going, there's a promise, I'm having that. And it works, it works. And actually, I would say the new covenant amps it up a notch. They're just giving four houses and stuff. Everything new covenant's like more, tithe's like the entry point. And so, but again, the enemy, he'll come in like a vulture and just try and take away the sacrifice that's already provided for that. And then you wonder why it's gone. And fire and smoke can never come. And then there's a cloud of lack always. That's why John's like, I pray that you may prosper in all things. And if we allow anything of the enemy to come in and take the word, what the sacrifice has done, it won't come into fruition. Psalm 1, three, talking about the righteous man. He's like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers all, all is all. I'm telling you, I'm taking that verse and you're never getting it out of my hands. But you saw what happened, you heard the economy, you know the gas prices. Are you kidding me? All, all, my leaf's never going to not produce fruit and in all that I do, I'm gonna prosper. I was just in Genesis. Joseph, good luck with him. He's a blessing waiting to happen. Doesn't matter where, every situation you put him in, it's like the Lord was with him and he was blessed, successful in all that he did, so much so that the worldly leaders, Potiphar and them, saw it on him. The Bible says Potiphar knew the Lord was with him and just put him over everything, his whole house. Then his wife pulls a sneaky, gets him locked up. Amen, it gives you so much there, but he goes in jail, blessed in everything he touched. He's over everything. He just prospers in all things. And this is the word, this is what God intends. And I pray we make a shift. What's beautiful is that sacrifice can be a fresh anew this morning. And we drive away the vultures and all of a sudden there's a shift. It's as simple as that, the renewed mind. It unlocks, this whole thing's unlocked by faith. Luke 6 through 38. Give and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together. I quoted it earlier. Running over will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. Look, if we really believe this verse, oh my gosh, you'd be looking for, you understand this is, what this says is give and it will be given to you. Again, I'm talking in the context of prospering in all things and having the word and the sacrifice real, no vultures. It says give and it will be given to you. The measure you give will be given back to you. So let's just say this cup. Oh, the problem is with God, he always outdoes you, always, every time. I can tell you story after story for years. This has happened in anything. Galatians 6, that which a man sows, he reaps. We should be looking for opportunities. Anything that's kingdom of the Lord. I remember I was in Houston preaching a conference, had a watch, I liked a lot, but I felt led to give it to the pastor. Bam, give it to him. I couldn't get off the pulpit. I'm not even to the green room yet. The guy says, I flew in all the way from Ohio. The Lord told me to give you a brand new watch. It was an upgrade, brand new watch, same day. I was like, isn't that wild? I believe, you know, shoes have given, it doesn't matter. And I'm not trying to pat myself on the back. I'm trying to say, let's go to the word. And it just unlocks something. And the vultures are like, man, I've tried with this guy for years. Does not work, let's move on. Because you're just blowing them out of the sky. And, but say this is the, if we really believe that, I'm like, okay, this is my coffee. The Bible is saying, if I give the measure that I give, this measure will be given back to me. But the problem is when I get it back, now it's pressed down, shaken together, running over. That's how God does. He never gives you back the same, ever. That's the word. So meaning, so if I give this, it's guaranteed, this is the word, this is going to happen. And you guys know, pressed down, shaken together, it's like packed jam full. When you shake something together, it settles, and you make sure it's packed, running over. I joked one morning about the chips. You ever get chips at a store, and you're like, this is going to be amazing. You open it up, and you got to like, look into the Grand Canyon to see them at the bottom. That's not pressed down, shaken together, and running over. But so you'd be like, oh my gosh. And then you start there, just wherever your faith's at. You're like, oh my gosh, sure enough, it happened. Didn't happen the way I thought, but it happened. And then you're like, where's a bigger cup? So I can be rich? No, so I can serve Jesus well. Because I'm just going to keep, and then it starts this reciprocal effect, which you just don't even care anymore. And then you're blessed, and everybody's like, man, I just need to rub up against you. You're like, get on in here, you know? And you walk in prospering in all things. Deuteronomy 28, 12. The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hands. And you shall lend to many nations, but shall not borrow. Watch Psalm 112, one through three, I love this. Let's just get the word in us. The word, the word, the word. And anything that opposes this is a vulture. Not acceptable. The spirit of religion will take verses and twist them. And that's how the enemy gets vultures to come into your life. He's always, and I want to point this out too, the enemy has no access into your life other than that which you give him. That's just Bible. I know a lot of people into the warfare world, they like to say otherwise. True Bible, you have to give him access. He has to say, didn't God say? And you believe it first, and have a doorway to get in, always. And so he's got a twist, and he's got to get an unrenewed mind, and then a door cracks, and there comes a vulture out of the sky. Psalm 112, one through three. Praise the Lord. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments. His offspring will be mighty in the land. The generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. So strong. These are just a few of many. But now I just want to, I have a few examples here. Let's just say you lose your job. We've all been here, and I've had better months than others. Get a pay cut. Economy seems unshakable. Gas prices go up. How many are from the West Coast in here? Oh, Lord. How's the, what have the gas prices been? Seven? Yeah, so, yeah. 650-something. Better get a bike. No, but I'm teasing. But see, that's what vultures will do. They'll just start, you start looking at reality in the inferior versus the reality of the supernatural. And it'll take you out of the power of the sacrifice. Things get super tight one month for some unforeseen reason. I have here, listen to this. Anything we do by then putting action to a life choice that is unbiblical is allowing the vultures to come down and take the sacrifice. God's grace and mercy is there. No worries, we've done it plenty. But let's get better, is all I'm saying. And this is one thing you can be certain of. The vultures will come and present themselves. We see with Abram that the vulture's coming was inevitable. It didn't, it wasn't like an optional scenario. They're going to come. It happens in life. So we often aren't going to have control over whether the vultures come or not. The only thing we have control over is driving them away and protecting what the Lord has already done in and through his perfect sacrifice. Here again I have, as soon as you make a choice of submitting to anything that is unbiblical, you give way to the vultures that take away the already paid and full sacrifice. Or the birds of the air to take away the seed of the word that could have produced some 30, 60, and 100 fold. Here's another one. We see the vulture, basically let me back up. If we, my thumb bumped it, sorry. When something happens and releases a vulture to oppose or take away what the sacrifice has already paid for, if we're not careful, what we do, and again, I've done this plenty. We see the vulture and focus on the vulture and begin to believe in the vulture more than the sacrifice, just like Peter did while walking on water. He had his eyes fixed on the sacrifice, capital S, initially, who was crucified before the foundations of the world and is the full access to all of God's promises. He was fixed on it. Walking right into him. But when the storm came, when the opposition comes in the natural, this is when we're tried. And when the vultures begin to present themselves, when the storm came, he got his eyes off of what was the superior reality and put greater faith in the inferior circumstance, thereby allowing the natural to usurp the supernatural. And so let's go to 1 Kings 17. I'm not giving you a ton of word, but. Oh good, praise God. You guys are hungry. Remember that morning I asked you if you were hungry and you're like, yeah, and y'all were talking about spiritually. I was trying to make sure y'all didn't have any roast in the oven or something, but. And I promise we'll land it, take communion. 1 Kings 17, yes, please. The story with Elijah and the widow, so good. And again, we're just talking this morning simply about the first part of prospering in all things, walking in what the Lord intends for us. It's what Abram was trying to go to. And God's like, I gotta have you focus on this sacrifice. It's all done through the Lord. And through the Lord, but you've gotta drive them away. Otherwise the fire and smoke can't come. That's right. Verse seven. And it happened after a while that the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. Then the word of the Lord came to him saying, arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you. Wherever, that's the word of the Lord, that's the seed. Wherever you find God speak, that's where you put all your eggs in the basket. Doesn't matter how impossible it seems, you go there. Wherever God's commanded is where you go. But so and so, it didn't feel right, or the money wasn't, that doesn't, that's beside the point. That's vulture talk. We do the sacrifice, and the sacrifice is always in what God commands. What Elijah left, he left Big Macs twice a day at the brook of Cherith. Ravens, bread and meat, twice a day. Just dropping Big Macs out of the sky. You can see it, that's the word. Bread and meat, or whoppers if you like those better. He leaves that and goes to a broke widow, but when God commands, that's his word, that's the sacrifice, that's the seed. And you just do it and it works. You don't ask questions. You don't start looking for vultures out of the sky. You go, oh yeah, that's why he drove Abram's attention to it all. It's all done, it's there, that's where it's done. That's where the power is, the favor, it's all there. And so he arose, didn't even ask questions. He said, God commanded, gone, gone. Elijah was gone. Arose, went to Zarephath, and when he came to the gate of the city, indeed a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, please bring me a little water and a cup that I may drink. He's thirsty, see, the brook dried up. But he had Big Macs like every day, all day. But he's super thirsty. He says, give me water to drink. And I think he's feeling her out too. Is this the widow? Because God commanded, there is a widow. He didn't say her name though. And she was going to get it as she was going. So she was going to go get him some water. He called to her, he feels her out again. He says, please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand. Because he knows the command of God is to provide for him through a widow. So then she opens up, spills the beans. She says, as the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour and a bin and a little oil in a jar. And see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare for myself and my son that we may eat it and die. Remember, he came out of food daily. And he's going straight into a totally impoverished situation, but God commanded. If we're not careful, we don't believe in the sacrifice more, we'll be like, ooh, I'm out of here. This is, you know, exit, retreat. This is not going to work. But the life we've got to live is off of the sacrifice, the word, his command. And so then the light bulb goes off. He's like, okay, I see what we're doing here. This is a two in one. God's going to use her, but he's actually using me to bless her to provide. So verse 13, Elijah said to her, do not fear. That's one of the vultures, fear. He's like, he's got to remove that away because if she fears, she's not going to obey what he's about to do. You understand, he's like, he takes out the vulture first because he's bringing the covenant, the promise. He's got the command of the Lord. That's always where the power is. But he knows if they look and allow a vulture to come, they're done, they're finished, he and she. So he starts, he says, do not fear, doubt, unbelief, fear. That's how they come in. And as soon as you yield and start obeying doubt, fear, and unbelief, the vultures take the sacrifice. And then we wonder why the promise doesn't come. He says, do not fear, go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first and bring it to me. See, and what's crazy is here, if you read it like in the natural mind, not really in the spirit, you think, man, how selfish, like how inconsiderate. But that's not it at all. I guarantee you his heart's thinking, oh my gosh, but he knows where the power's at. Right. God says, I have commanded a widow to provide for you there. And so all he knows is he's gotta align the whole situation into that word. It's not about him or her or anybody. He's like, the word of the Lord is she's gotta provide for me, so I've got to align it this way. Don't fear, prepare for me, and just listen to me. When this happens, it's gonna unlock the supernatural. For thus says the Lord, the Lord God of Israel, the bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth. So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah, and she and he and her household ate for many days. She went from lack to abundance fast. The problem's not on God's end to bring abundance and lack and prospering and all things, it's on our yieldedness and our obedience and keeping the vultures away. He can do it fast and easy in an abundant way. So she went away, did according to the word of Elijah, she and her household many days, the bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke by Elijah. So yeah, and we'll go ahead and land it, but I just wanna encourage us in this one aspect of many, just walking out life and trying to inherit what the sacrifice is for, John, deepest, closest friend of the Lord, intimate, beloved, the one whom Jesus loved, he's praying that all of us would prosper in all things. That's the only one we're touching on this morning. May, and then he goes into staying in the truth, the truth, the truth. So the unrenewed mind of the vultures that come in, if we're not careful, like I said earlier, say something happens, what our tendencies are to do is to come off of faith, come off of giving. Like how many of you, when things got tight, you're like, ooh, I can't give like I did before? That's the last thing you wanna do, because now you're acting unbiblically and you're submitting to doubt, unbelief, and fear over the sacrifice. And you take the power away. Vultures come in. So just to let you know, in my world, when lack seems like it's anywhere near, I'm giving more, I'm finding a way to give. That's how you reverse the thing. I teach my children that. Judah, again, the other day got his hair cut, somewhere I was with him. And sure enough, I said, how much did you tip him? Almost as much as the haircut, I said, good boy. That's what you do. You bless, you give, you sow every chance you've got, and then all of a sudden, you're like, why does lack never stand a chance on their lawn much as their doorway? Because the vultures don't stand a chance. And I know the word, I know the seed, I'm protecting it. We've gotta protect the sacrifice. We're kinda getting into works, the Lord's done it all. I know, but Abram had to drive him away. You guys seeing that? We've gotta stay a renewed mind. And if it helps to just not even watch, I never know what's going on with economy anyway. I don't know enough about it, don't care. Heaven's economy is what moves. And if gas prices spike, whatever's going on, again, obey the Lord. He'll give you revelation in seasons as he did Elijah. But that prospering in all things is super vital that we walk in the inheritance of God. Next week, I'm gonna talk about being in good health. And, but it's super key that we have a renewed mind and yield to it, stay in faith, and it keeps it unlocked. So you guys wanna stand? Thank you, Jesus. Maybe if we could bring the communion elements would be awesome. Oh, nice. Thank you, sir. Yeah, maybe on the sides, and then what we can do is, yeah, I guess if you wanna, it's gonna get interesting. If you guys wanna, or you wanna maybe pass them out row by row, let's do that, yeah. Do you, we'll go last, is that okay? I'll get mine with y'all, yeah. That'll be good, Dina, love you. Okay, so we can pass those aisle to aisle. And we'll, you don't need to turn there, but I wanna talk to you out of 1 Corinthians 11. On the broken body and shed blood, it's all there. Bring me a three-year-old heifer, a female goat, three-year-old ram, three years of Jesus' earthy ministry, died and rose again, body broken, veil split in two. And I'm really believing, and our family across the world online, that something's gonna shift now when we take communion together, that we step through a doorway. Again, this morning, I'm just merely cracking the door, scratching the surface on the prospering and all things, but health in our bodies, wholeness in our soul, emotionally, that we reflect the Lord fully on the earth, with his bride, that there'd be an encounter, an experience with him in a deeper way, intimacy above all things, knowing him, knowing him. Did you all get, is it coming this way, I guess? So just listen to this as they pass out the communion elements, verse 23, 1 Corinthians 11. For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the same night in which he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, take, eat, this is my body which is broken for you. Do this in remembrance of me, it's a command. Not if you get a chance or if you think about it, it's optional, no, do this. This is super important. Do this in remembrance of me, in the same manner he also took the cup after supper, saying, this cup is the new covenant, see, this is the new covenant. It's finished, it's done. Even I believe this morning, the simple renewal of the mind and areas of our life that remove the vultures from taking that sacrifice will make it alive again, accessible, real, and I pray we step through a doorway together, but this cup is the new covenant. In my blood, this do as often as you drink it in remembrance of me, for as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till he comes. Listen to this, this is a bit of a weighty verse, but I love it to look at it from a new vantage point of those that are upright with the Lord, and I'm gonna give us a chance to repent corporately, but this shows you right here what I'm going into now, that this is much more than symbolism. This is full-life, real-time encounter with the Lord. We can step through into him. His broken body and shed blood power can happen now. Therefore, Paul writes, whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord, but let a man examine himself. We're gonna do that together corporately. And so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this reason, many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep, meaning many have died. So when we take the communion, the bread and the cup in an unworthy manner, meaning no reverence for what he's done, a life not yielded, it can actually backfire. You can actually get sick in your body. This is the word, this is the word. And so what we wanna do is take a moment, say, wash us, Jesus, shift our heart aligned to him. Some of you may not even be born again this morning. You want to give your life to Jesus, you know. How many of you just say in here this morning, like, look, I would say I don't even know if I'm really walking with the Lord or living upright this morning, but I do, I just, my heart's being pulled right now in things you're talking about. I wanna be in on this, you know. I wanna give my life fully to the Lord. If that's you, would you just raise your hand real high in here? We wanna pray for you. Okay, this precious young man over here. Anybody in the balcony? Anybody else, just raise your, oh, and another in the back. Okay, praise God. So let's just pray with them even corporately. Say this out loud to everybody with me. Say, Lord Jesus, I repent for my sins. I turn away from my life choices that don't align with you. I believe you were born of a virgin. You lived a sinless life. You died and rose again on the third day. This morning, I give you my life. I decree with my mouth out loud I decree with my mouth out loud that you are my Lord and Savior. that you are my Lord and Savior. I don't want vultures anymore in my life. I don't want vultures anymore in my life. I want my life fully submitted to your crucifixion. Your resurrection. Your resurrection. Your complete sacrifice. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Amen. Praise God. Can we give God praise? Just two people, so good. Thank you, Lord. Thank you. Oh, you guys got some? Awesome, thank you so much. Did Zoe get one? Oh, she did, okay. Hey, aren't these snazzy? Bread pops out the bottom and juice on top. So let's focus on the Lord together. And I'm really, you need one? Oh, you don't have a bread, okay. She's missing. And let's just begin to focus on the Lord. And just see Him. It's all done there. It is finished. It is finished. You can be healed in your body even now. He founded Ascend Academy, a ministry school, and travels globally, speaking at conferences and on platforms like TBN and GOD-TV, often highlighting signs, wonders, and prophetic insights.
