I'd like to ask you a question. How many of you believe the Lord's been here tonight and He's touched you already? Raise your hand, would you? Oh, He's here. The Lord's here. Boy, just how precious He is to be in our midst. Let me read chapter 10, verse 1 of Matthew. My message tonight, a revival of power is coming. Revival of power. Power is coming. I don't know if I've ever preached a message on power in my lifetime, but I am tonight. A revival of power is coming. Matthew 10.1 And when He had called unto Him His twelve disciples, He gave them power against unclean spirits to cast them out, to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of diseases. Then He goes on to name the twelve there. But that first verse is the one I want you to see. He called His twelve, gave them power against unclean spirits to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of power. Now, does your Bible read like that? Mark does. He gave them power against unclean spirits to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness. How many? Is that in your Bible? Well, we're going to get established before we go any further. All right. Lord, I need you tonight. Lord, I need you probably more than I've ever needed you in my lifetime, because I can't deliver this message unless you speak, unless you come, Holy Spirit, and take my words, put life to them. Thank you for what you've done in the service already. We see a revival of Holy Ghost power coming again before Jesus comes. We see an outpouring of power. Christians rising in strength and power, being strong in the Lord, not being intimidated by the devil, and moving in the fire and ocean of the Holy Ghost, and putting down strongholds, and standing in their place in the highest, and bringing down all that the enemies were against them. Standing strong until the last day, and as we heard this morning by Pastor Bob, the light shining brighter and brighter until the day Jesus comes. Lord, do it here in Times Square. Let the light shine all over this city, Lord. All over Brooklyn, all over Queens, in the Bronx, Staten Island, Lord, here in Manhattan, and all over New Jersey, all the way to Boston, Washington. God, shake everything that can be shaken in sight. Glory be to God. Hallelujah. Revival of power. Years ago, a friend of mine, Catherine Corman, held a tent meeting. This is in her early days, held a tent meeting in Akron, Ohio. Thousands were being healed. It was making front page news. They were telling about the healings and miracles. And a very famous pastor of one of the largest churches in that city, jealous perhaps, challenged her. He offered, I think it was $10,000. If anybody can prove that there's a healing, God today, or that God heals, or that there's a miracle. He offered, I think it was $10,000. Forty years ago, that was a lot of money. That would be like $100,000 today. He offered it in the newspaper of all stupid things to do. He stood in front of me and said, I offer $10,000 if she or anyone else can prove that God is still healing today and show me that miracle. Well, the tent the next night was jammed. And I'll tell you, they were lined up with affidavits. They'd already had them. In fact, one doctor had heard about it. Father Stan was there to accept the challenge because one of the patients from Catherine Corman's healing ministry had been so marvelous. It was an absolute miracle. It wasn't a healing. It was a miracle. And he was there to speak about that miracle. Of course, he never heard from the pastor again. Not a word. And she very graciously laid him off the hook and let him keep his $10,000. Not another word was said. And he quoted in the newspaper, and in the pulpit the next Sunday, he quoted this very verse, verse 1 and 2. And he said, The names of the twelve apostles of these, the first, Simon, who is called Peter, Andrew, his brother James, the sons of Zebedee, and John, his brother Philip, Thomas, Matthew, James, Lebarus, who served under Thaddeus, Simon, Judas Iscariot. And he said, See, God gave power to twelve men, and that's it. When they were dead, that was it. He said twelve men, their names were there, and that's it. When the twelve were gone, the power was gone. And he didn't say it like that, but he said, The healing ministry is over, there are no gifts, there are no tongues, there are no gifts today in operation as they knew them in the New Testament. And he said, God made them, that's it. It's closed. You know there are preachers just like that even in New York City now who believe that the days of miracles are over, God is not healing anymore. Thank God they're not offering anybody money now. They'd lose it fast here. Let me address that for just a moment. Did Jesus give power just to twelve over demons, and He healed the sick, and then when the apostles died, He withdrew it from the earth? Stephen, he was not there when, he's not listed in these, he was not there when Jesus amended these twelve. And the Bible says, Stephen was full of faith and power, and he did great wonders and miracles among the people. He was not among the twelve. Paul was not among the twelve. He was not there. In fact, he said he was born out of season. He wasn't there when Jesus, he did not see and hear what these apostles saw and heard. He missed those three years walking with Christ. But listen to what the Scripture says, in Paul speaking things which Christ, he's talking about things that Christ has wrought by me, through mighty signs and wonders by the power of the Spirit of God. And this man, Paul, boasted in Christ, my speech, my preaching was not with enticing words of men's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your face should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. And that word in the Greek said, to exhibit. And really, when you get down to it, it says to show off. And not as we know, but I was exhibiting, I gave you a demonstration of the power of God. I wasn't preaching dead words. He said, my words were backed with miracles and power. The majority of the hundred and twenty in the upper room were not there with the twelve. And yet the Bible said, Jesus said, you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you. And he gave a promise to the whole church. He said, for my kingdom is not in word, but in power. 1 Corinthians 4.20 I'll tell you what, I wouldn't go the second time to a church who told you that the gifts are not in operation. I wouldn't knock on the door of a church who says that God is not working in power and authority today. Of course, if you've been coming to this church, you know better. You've seen what God has been doing by His power. But, you know, it's incredible to me that the Lord in His Word would warn us of all the judgments that are coming. The Scripture says that evil men are going to become worse and worse, seducers, seducing. There's going to be a great falling away. There'll be winds and waves of doctrines of demons on all sides, hearts growing cold, violence and godlessness on our side. There'll be mockers and scoffers coming, persecution of all kind, hatred, ridicule. There'll be a flood of evil out of hell. And the Bible says there's going to be an angry devil come down there and that his time is short. Alright, if the powers of darkness are going to increase, if all of these things are predicted by Jesus Himself and the apostles, it's incredible to me that anybody that preaches the gospel or believes the gospel would even conceive that God would withdraw His power when we need it the most. When we're facing all of these things, God would not allow His church to stand against an angry devil and the flood tides of hell without giving us hell, pouring out power, everything we needed to overcome the enemy. He didn't say we were conquerors. He said we're more than conquerors. My Lord always speaks in superlatives all through the Bible, all through the New Testament. You'll find the Lord speaking in superlatives. Now this flood that's been predicted has already come. And you can't tell me that the tempter is going to be able to shift like a whole church. You can't tell me that they're going to fall left and right and that the church of Jesus Christ is going to just kind of fade away. And it's going to go up to meet the Lord crippled and weak and scared as if all the demons in the house said, Goodbye, go off in eternity. You couldn't face it here. No, my Bible says the gates of hell will not prevail against this church. The church of the name Jesus Christ. The church is not going out with a whimper. Oh, I'll tell you what, just as much as Paul the Apostle, I can say my heart's with order. I long to be with Jesus. Boy, but lately, since I've been back to New York, there's something rising up in me. I see it in Don and Bob and Gary. I see it in all the pastors. And I'm beginning to see it in a lot of the saints here. Where once I saw people beaten down and discouraged, I see a fight coming. I see people feeding their teeth and saying to the devil, Fair enough. And there's a challenge to all the principalities and powers of darkness coming. I'll tell you what, I long to see a Holy Ghost remnant rise up. Hallelujah. And I want to see the power of God demonstrated. I want to see before the trumpet sounds, before Jesus comes, a mighty army of people standing up to challenge devil and all his power at every front. That they're not a single area you give up. The children of Israel gave up the valleys because of the iron chariots and they went up in the mountains. They're not a valley. They're not an iron chariot anywhere in these last days. But this church that the Lord is raising up is going to leave unchallenged. Not a chariot. Not a valley. We're going to see a praying church taking on the principalities and powers of darkness. We're going to see a church that's going to challenge AIDS. It's going to challenge drugs, alcoholism, abortion, disease, divorce, incest, pornography, and all the powers of darkness and say, that's fair enough. To say to our children, devil you can't have them. To look at the young people in our church and say, devil you can't have them. God is positively going to bring a people in these last days into a place where there's going to be a demonstration of His power, mightier than anything the world has ever seen. Beloved, when I started reading what was happening to Lance Diamond, the show that was there, when I began to read and hear all the other things that are happening, I thought I was reading a new chapter in the book of Acts. And the more I'm in New York, the more we're in New York, and the more we see what God is doing, the book of Acts is as exciting as it is. I have to tell you, I have to confess, I'm seeing some things now that are more exciting than Acts. Didn't he say greater works than these that you do? Greater works? Daniel prophesied the people that, he said there's a day coming that the people who do know their God shall be strong and do exploits. That's Daniel 11.32 and in the New American Standard it says, they shall be strong and take action. Take action against the devil. Take action in their home. We have lain down long enough. The church has been asleep long enough. I'm convinced the devil thought, even up to recently, that this flood of evil he sent against the church is going to sweep us all away. I'm convinced the devil thought, if I'm just flooded with drugs, and this new crack invasion, they don't understand where it comes from. I'm just going to sweep over America. I'm going to make their television so filthy. I'm going to make it pornography. I'm going to throw filthy films. I'm going to dump everything. In fact, the Bible makes it clear. The serpent shall cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, which is the church, that he might cause her to be carried away in the flood. And the devil recalled war in the church of Jesus Christ. More in the heart of church. He recalled war on the saints of God to try to bury them dead and flood and sweep them away. Let me read it to you. The dragon was angry with the women. He went to make war with the women of the sea, which keep the commandments of God and that have the testimony of Jesus Christ. He looked upon those that are still holding it. He said, the only area left are these saints that hold out. I'll tell you, there's nothing greased me more than to see, brother God, if you're a missionary, you know what greased me? I've seen what television has done to some of our missionaries who returned. I met a missionary that was on the field for 50 years, came home and backslid in two years, sitting in front of the television set. Absolutely backslidden. Doesn't even pray. Doesn't even seek to learn anymore. And to see the old saints of God, how they were just meriting before the iron oratory of this world. But oh, thank God, the curse is not just here in Times Square, it's happening all over the world. It's happening especially in China right now. God is raising up a new host. A holy remnant who are not laying down to this flood. This flood, you know what the Bible said? He sits king of the flood. He sits king of the flood. Hallelujah. The higher the flood, the higher we rise above it. But you see, the devil's objective has always been to shipwreck the holy remnant. If he can get them out of the way or sweep them away or demoralize them or lead them into some kind of sin, then he can take away the heart of all of his opposition. I don't think the devil knows what God's about to do. Let's tell him. And I'm not wailing against the enemy. I don't think the devil knows what God's about to do. Bob said it. Gary has said it so eloquently in the last two messages here. And Don has been saying it in his message. We've all been saying something's about to happen. Something's about to happen in the church of Jesus Christ. People are getting tired of materialism. They're getting tired of gospels that don't help them when the storm comes and death comes and trouble comes. They're sick and tired of it. And now, now everything is being shaken that can be shaken. Hallelujah. God is doing something new. We don't know the full extent but we've got some wonderful ideas. I see a worldwide army of holy saints coming up of all ages, of all nations, rising up in faith, full of the Holy Ghost in power, to challenge the enemy. Now, in the Old Testament, I was looking at this again today, in the Old Testament, the devil was always challenged but it was usually an individual, a single man of God that would suddenly appear. You remember when Satan was just about to destroy all of Israel in Egypt. Pharaoh rose up and really, if we were reading headlines, they were out to destroy Israel. They first of all took away the straw and then the taskmasters beat them and they were really bent on wiping out Israel. And all of a sudden, out of nowhere comes a man by the name of Moses. And he walks into Pharaoh's court and Pharaoh's the type of the devil himself. And suddenly, out of nowhere, it wasn't nowhere but as far as the devil was concerned, he came out of nowhere. Pharaoh sees this man, he didn't know who he was. And suddenly there's a man to challenge the whole system. And he stands up before Pharaoh and says, let my people go! Let my people go! One man stands there, hands by his side. He says, let my people go! Remember when Ahab is on the throne? Israel is turned into wickedness. Jezebel is the queen. The prophets of God are in hiding. There are only 7,000 people now out of millions in Israel. Only 7,000 have not bowed underneath a bell. Can you imagine that? Only 7,000 left. And suddenly, out of nowhere, comes a man called Elijah. And he stands up and he challenges the devil. And he said, it's not going to rain except by my word. This man comes and challenges the whole satanic system. No rain except by my word. And you find that all through the Old Testament. You'll find it in a time of declension, in a time of apostasy. There'll be a Jeremiah, an Isaiah, an Ezekiel, an Amos, a Hosea, and a David. There were prophets, there were kings, there were men like Josiah. God always had a man. Oh, but brother, sister, those days are over. Listen to me now. Now he has a body. He has a body. I want to tell you something. Please, please, I don't, I have people come. I'll be going back outside. I'll have the servants come and say, well, I come to Times Square Church once in a while, but I said, oh brother, you've got to come and hear Brother Salso. He's the greatest deliverance preacher I've ever heard. Man, does he have the power? He is something else. How great he can raise the dead. Well, the time is coming. I'm going to say it nicely. I'm going to say it as, no, Lord told me not to say it. I won't do it. Alright, no. But what I'm saying, I'm going to say it kindly. I'm about to say something really kind. But here's the point. Listen closely now. The day of the superstar advances is over. Absolutely over. This is not, we don't need a Moses now, because we have a Jesus who is the head and he has a body. The time is over that when somebody has age or somebody is sick, you say, hey, let's go to Tulsa. Or, come on, let's go over to Brooklyn. There's a healing evangelist over there. No, the time has come that you shouldn't have to take anybody anywhere. You should have the power. You know, God is going to so diffuse his spirit and power all through the body, that if anyone was to rise, even if he were to raise the dead, there'd be so many dead raised, they'd say, well, what's so unusual about that? Somebody said, well, you come over here and see this man. Say, well, that's nothing. That's happening in my house. That's happening in my home. It'll be so widespread, and God'll be doing it everywhere. You don't have to go some one place to see it happen. Lord, I believe that. I believe that all day long. I'm not just preaching the word. I believe that. Glory to God. These last days, we're going to all need to walk in power. And what a shock for the devil. He's looking for one man to come up. He's looking for somebody. I bet he's looking at every young evangelist right now. Is he going to be the next one to charge my kingdom? And he's missing it. He's missing it. Because we've got hundreds here right now, and this is where the enemy's going to be charged. In a body. We're not going to be looking even to the pastor of this church. You shouldn't have to bring anybody to the pastor of this church. You should be walking in holiness, and when somebody has AIDS, somebody is in trouble, somebody is bombed by the devil, you don't have to go anywhere. But right here, get a two or three more and say, join me, and let's take authority over this in Jesus' name. Now, a brother came up Friday night after prayer meeting, and he didn't come up, he's here tonight, he's been here coming to this church for a long time, but he's been a crack addict, and he didn't come to prayer meeting, he finally met me outside the door, and he was high, he tears, and he says, Brother Dave, I just did crack, and he said, what am I going to do? I got a hold of Warrick, and I said, Warrick, take him in, get a hold of a couple of people, and buy him that in Jesus' name, right now, and ask God, deliver him. We're not going to give up on anybody. We're not going to give up on anybody. Alright. Hold it just a minute. Please. I'm going to get by if you keep cracking. Alright. Follow me closely now, please. God is even now giving His body power to set all captives free. All captives free. There's one thing Jesus can't stand, there's one thing our Lord will not put up with, and that's to have any of His people in captivity to the enemy. God hates it when a single one of His children is captive. God saw the imprisonment of His people in Egypt, and it grieved Him that the devil had them in prison. The Scripture says they cried by reason of their bondage. And as they cried, their cry came up to God, and God heard their grieving. He said to Moses, I've surely seen the affliction of my people, which are in Egypt. I've come down to deliver them out of the hands of the Egyptians. I've seen their oppression, and I'm going to bring them forth. I'm going to set every captive free. Now here's God's universal demand upon Satan and all of his forces. Here it is. Now listen to this. This is the message. This is the heart of it. When the power of God is in a church, when the power of the Lord is operating through a wholly separated, pure body, this cry has to go up. Let my people go. That should be the cry in your household. This should be the cry if your wife is not saved, your husband is not saved. This should be the cry. Let my people go. You should know in your heart that the Lord has grieved over their captivity. The Lord feels for that captivity. And because you believe the Lord, you sanctify that home. And you have every right to claim it from the Lord. Your father, your mother, your children, everybody. I tell you, when Moses went to Pharaoh, Pharaoh said, You go and leave your children. And Pharaoh, you know what he said? Moses said, No. We're going to go with our young and with our old, with our sons and our daughters, with our flocks and our herds, we will go. There shall not be a hoof left behind. And that's when the church is going out. Not a hoof left behind. Our sons, our daughters, our husbands, let my people go. Glory to God. Well, you can't wave a flag or clap or whatever you want to do. Now, I know that there were many when they said we're leaving Egypt didn't want to go. You can't tell me all those people wanted to leave Egypt because they had their friends, they were into idolatry, they were into idol worship. The Lord had to do something. And for you people to say, well, how am I going to get It's one thing to say, let my family go. It's one thing to even pray about, but how's it going to happen? The same way it happened in Egypt. A lot of my men didn't want to go. I don't know how many young people said, Dad, when you go, I'm not going. How many wives said, you go, I'm not going. But I'll tell you what, when God was done, they were ready to go. I'll tell you, you look the death angel off the face, you're ready to go. I mean, some of those who didn't want to go, they were packed and ready, I've been dead in the front of the line. I'll tell you what God can do, what God was preaching about this morning, my granddad called it Holy Ghost Miserables. God make it so miserable, they have to get saved. And sin does that, it does bring the Holy Ghost Miseries. Holy Ghost Miseries. I want you to go to Isaiah 61, Isaiah 61. Isaiah 61, I told you the Lord hates, he hates to see any of his people in prison. God despises the fact that the devil has many drug addicts in a backslidden, out in the streets right now. I believe before Jesus comes, you're going to find everyone's got a heart for him. But I'll tell you, it's going to depend on a people with the power of the Lord that stands up and says, enough, let my people go. Look at chapter 61 of Isaiah, begin to read verse 1. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captors. Is that what it says? Liberty to the captors, let my people go. And the opening of the prison to them that are bound, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, the dear vengeance of our God, to comfort all that mourn, to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joyful mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they may be called trees of righteousness, the pride of the Lord, that he might be glorified. Hallelujah! How is the Lord glorified? When we take dominion and authority in our homes against all the powers of hell at work and those crimes that we know? And we stand up and say, God, I'm going to believe you, I'm going to trust you, I'm going to pray, I'm going to appropriate your power and your authority until Holy Ghost conviction touches them. Bring them all back, Lord. Bring them all back. Hallelujah. Well, go to Luke 4. Luke 4. We love the word here, don't we? Fourth chapter of Luke. Verse 16. Verse 16. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and as his custom was, he went into the synagogue, this is Jesus, on the sabbath day, and stood up to eat, where it was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives. And we come here sent to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. Well, look at me, folks. If you're going to have the heart of Jesus, if this church has the heart of Jesus, we're sent with the very same mandate to preach the gospel to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives. In fact, Isaiah also said, Jesus, he was quoting from Isaiah, he also said, oh, by the way, here it is, shake thyself from the dust, arise and sit down, loose thyself from the bonds of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion. All the prophets saw a day when the church would rise up and release itself from its captivity. Isaiah especially saw it so clear. Do you believe the prophets? I said, do you believe the prophets? Do you know that they prophesied about the very day you and I are living in right now, right here in Times Square Church right now, we're living in the days these prophets talk about when the church is going to rise and shake off its chains and captives are going to be set free? God put faith in your heart for your family. I don't care what condition they're in right now, God give you faith. By the way, remember when this woman was bound for 18 years and she was infirm? And Jesus on the Sabbath stretched out His hands and healed that woman? And they were complaining because He did it on the Sabbath? The Scripture, Jesus said to them, I brought this woman, being a daughter of Abraham whom Satan hath bound Lord these 18 years, should she not be loosed from this bondage? You know why Jesus did that? He hates captives. He hates the captivity of captives. Jesus looked at that woman 18 years and He said to Himself, that's enough. That's enough. That woman's been held by the devil for 18 long years. Most people would have given up on her. 18 years in captivity, she's hopeless. 18 years of living in that hell, she's hopeless. Not to Jesus. Not to those who know His power. You don't give up on people. Don't give up on anybody you know. I'm going to say this church is going to have a motto, Let my people go. Every captive that walks into this church should know that there's power to be delivered. I heard a confession from the minister last week. He was confessing, a friend of his was confessing as a singing group, and they were in a prison to hold a prison meeting. And all these prisoners were out there. And I'll tell you what, they were flabbergasted. They had no power, they had no anointing, and it just overwhelmed them. And I'll tell you what, you go to jail without an anointing and try to hold a jail meeting, and you're going to be wiped out. You'll get wiped out. I mean, they'll hoot and they'll holler, and they'll take over the meeting. And I'll tell you what, those poor people, they left heartbroken. And they were confessing this to a minister, a friend of mine, and they said, we didn't have the power, there was no anointing, we were overwhelmed, we were flabbergasted. That should never be. That should never be. The church of Jesus Christ should be walking in such purity. There should be such an anointing of the Holy Spirit that you speak the word and they sit down and they listen. Some of you don't, maybe you have not agreed that the authority we're going to take from the Spirit, we don't allow any wild spirit to come in and take over this meeting. There has to be, and I'll tell you what, it's not just in this public, because there's a spiritual authority out in this, in the audience here. There's a spiritual authority that those wild spirits know that they can't act up. That authority is there. I remember for years that Dean Challis was preaching on the streets. We had ministers come from all the United States and they went out to the street meetings with us. And time and time again there'd be a famous evangelist or pastor of a large church come, and I was all excited because I was going to have them preach at the street meeting. And we'd get out there, we'd go up to 100th Street, back then 100 and 101st Street off Lexington was a very rough area and some of the, we took them into some of the very rough areas and they'd see these drug addicts everywhere and they'd see people stoned. And I saw you ready to preach and they said, well why don't you preach? You have the message, you're called to this. I've got that mark. This is your ministry. Mine's different. Now he can stand, and I'm saying this lovely, he can stand in his pulpit of safety in his four walls and preach about the power of God. Now I only found two or three of all the ministers that came for years that looked forward to it and said praise God, I can't wait to get up there and preach with authority. And have those kids on their knees. But most of them, they didn't, they'd stand back like this, like little babies, like cowards. They were cowards about it. They were overwhelmed by it. They were swept away by it. No. No. The church of Jesus Christ does not cower before the powers of hell. My Bible says the weapons of warfare are not cowardly but mighty through God who will pull it down and score holes. I better hurry on. You see, after the Bible it appears to me that the Lord is pleading. He's pleading, ask more of me. I hear the Lord pleading, appropriate more of my power. I hear the Lord say, I want to do much more than you've asked me. Listen, I thank God for the new theater that he's given to us. I thank God for the additional seats. But brother, sister, that's really, that's just a building. There's so much more that we haven't even begun to discuss the service, what God wants to do here. If you're satisfied with God, you're not mopping in the spirit. God wants to save your house. He wants to make you a soul winner. On the job, on the street, he wants to make you a soul winner. So you don't have to stand before the throne of Jesus empty handed. You can stand there saying, I didn't have to go coward before the enemy. I was touched by the hand of Jesus. Ephesians 3.20 says, now unto him, that's a vote. Now listen to these supporters of the Lord. Unto him that they would do exceedingly, abundantly above all you ask or think according to the power that worketh in us. According to the power that, what? There's another edition that says according to the power that works and abides in the soul and soul. No. There is no such edition. There's only one edition of this word and it says according to the power that worketh in us all those who in this holy woman of God. All those who walk before him in faith and righteousness. Glory to God. Unto him that's able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we ask or think. What are you thinking? Are you thinking your family can get saved? Are you thinking that God can come down on Wall Street and save them right out there on the streets with the people holding street meetings down there now? Do you believe God can just stop murdering them on Wall Street? Do you believe God can stop murdering the hearts of Jews to the Messiah? Well he said, whatever you're thinking I'm thinking bigger. I'm thinking more, exceedingly abundantly above all you can ask or think. Ask of me and I shall give thee the heathen. Have you been asking for the heathen? We did Friday night at our prayer meeting here. We started praying God open the door of Turkey. We're going to start praying for Greece. We're praying for China. We're praying all over the world. We're praying that God would open doors and something else he said, pray the Lord in the harvest that he would send forth labors into his vineyard and the Lord wouldn't tell us to do that if it didn't work. Hallelujah. You know what the Lord said? I saw it yesterday and I got so excited I wrote in my note, stop right there. There it is, it says stop. Stop. I'm going to stop. I'm going to tell you about it. You know what Jesus said? Truly the harvest don't turn to Luke 10 2. The harvest truly is great. And I saw that word great. I got a hold of my lexicon and I started looking at the Greek in that and you know what he's saying? Truly means without doubt the harvest is absolutely incredibly large. He said it's going to be something. The harvest is great. And I'll tell you what the Lord, you know what just a year it's been let me get rid of this one I'm going to get that other one, this is bothering me. There's going to be a harvest. I was thinking 300. I said Lord after first year if we have 300 in this harvest I'll be tickled to death. And we were looking in a little theater called the Biltmore. Seats 950 people. And I was in the Biltmore one day and I looked up and I said oh God 950 seats in New York City? Well how? How? Don and Bob and Gary they had more faith than I did. And I stood out there claiming that theater one day. And it just blew up in my, it just blew up in our face. They wouldn't even talk to us of course it's still sitting there cursed. I don't think it'll ever be used. That's right. It's just been wiped out. And the Lord said no I've got something else. Well next week we know what that is. One of the largest most beautiful theaters in New York. But you see I'm not even thinking numbers right now. Not even thinking numbers. But I'll tell you what. God said lift up your eyes you haven't even begun to see what I want to do. Whatever you're thinking, whatever you're praying about. Lord says ask more of me that your joy might be full. Pray for your whole household. Don't pray for just your wife. Pray for all your uncles your aunts, your nieces, your nephews and say God's spirit shall be all saved. Amen. Dear brother A.B. Simpson who is the founder of the Christian Missionary Alliance you can find him every day from 8 o'clock to 12 they said almost every day when he was not traveling. I don't know if he took this with him when he traveled or not but you can find him every day on the floor clutching a globe of the earth. Weeping over it. Praying for nations. Praying for workers. And it wasn't long before that man prayed in 1200 missionaries all over the world and those who stood with him. Hallelujah. I believe that with all my heart. We can pray for revival. Some of you can't go to China. You can't go to Africa. You can go by prayer. You can break and shackle the powers of hell and powers of darkness. Hallelujah. My goodness. Give me 10 more minutes and then I'll close up it. More than anything else I believe we're going to witness a revival of the power of the presence of Jesus. I was with somebody from theater a couple weeks ago and we were talking and he said, David, years ago when I was 17, 18 years old I walked into a church and I had an experience. I felt for the first time in my life the presence of God. And he said, right then I made a decision to give my life to God because I felt for the first time in my life I felt his presence. Something happened he didn't keep to that and he's in theater right now some form of theater. But if I could read between the lines I think I was hearing I would give him everything. I would follow what I saw when I was 17 if I really felt and recognized the presence of God. The presence of Jesus. And even off when you go to so many places today you cannot experience the presence of the Lord. You can't experience that. And I want to tell you something. God is trying to bring forth a spirit of righteousness in his church. Not of works. But the righteousness of the people who hate sin. A righteousness of people who say, I'm going all the way no matter what it costs. Of people who lay down all their idols. Of people who want to see God. Of the people expecting the return of the Lord. Looking for his return. Looking for his coming. And yet saying, I will not lay down I'm going to stand in the name of Jesus to challenge the enemy and everything that he stands for. But oh brother, sister when we get a church like that, when people can come, it doesn't matter whether we're clapping. We had a missionary here from Israel last Tuesday night. And he enjoyed the worship. We had a nice quiet time of worship. But then when they got to clapping and singing, he said oh brother Dave, that is what is attracting the Jews in Israel to some of our meetings. They love the rhythm, they love the sound of the life that's there. There has to be a life. And people folks all over the city you're going to be coming to this church coming to the Mark Hallinger theater there has to be life. And that life produces the presence of the Lord. And whether they're singing or whether we're preaching, whatever it may be. Whatever it may be there's going to be a voice from the Lord come. There's going to be, the Bible said all the hills melt like wax at the presence of the Lord. All those hills of opposition all of the agnosticism all of the fears and doubts that have been built up over the years. The moment somebody recognizes God's hand on them they hear His voice. There's a still small voice that says God is real. You've been running. God's going to speak in this church like He's been speaking but as never before and I believe that's a part of what God's going to do. Hallelujah. There's going to be a still small voice come to everyone who walks in the house. A still small voice. Now some can reject it, but they're going to hear it. They're going to hear a revival of the voice of the Lord Jesus. That still small voice. Now in closing, I want to give you the one part that I believe is most important. I believe that the Lord is going to come in a demonstration of power and this demonstration of power is going to show, listen closely, He's going to show His people how secure they are in a day of trouble. How secure. Now listen to me please. Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday Monday I know God gave me Isaiah 46 for this church as much as anything I ever preached in his pulpit. God gave me these two verses for you tonight, and if you've been tossed by the enemy, and the devil's been trying to lie to you until you're never going to make it, that you can't stand temptation because you're a coward, God's going to put a backbone in you. God's going to have you stand up to the devil in all of his lives. We want to see a church walking in authority. We want to see a church... Listen, I see some of you walk in and you sit here like you're dying. Last week you had your hands up, praise the Lord, and what's happened this week? Well, I'm backslidden, I'm going to hell, I'm lost. I can't live like that. That's not the message we preach here. We preach that the Lord can save you so good you don't have to get saved over and over and over all the time. We'll continue to thunder against sin, we'll provoke you to righteousness, we'll provoke you and provoke you to righteousness, we'll come against idols, but we're going to tell you in the name of the Lord that there's a place in Jesus, there's a rock, there's a place in Christ that you don't have to be tossed and turned by the lies of the devil. Look, Isaiah 46, verse 3 and 4. Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are born by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb. And even to your old age I am He. Even to your hoar hairs, that's gray hairs, will I carry you. I have made, and I will bear, even I will carry and will deliver you. Look at me and hear me good before I close. I have four children, there came a time that I didn't carry them anymore, they got married and went out on their own. The Lord doesn't do that. The Lord has obligated Himself to take care of us. He said from the womb all the way to the grave, till your last breath, He said I'm responsible for you, and I tell you the Lord gets the light reminding us about it all the time. And His arms are under us, the scripture says, and all their afflictions He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence, that's Jesus, saved them. In His love and in His pity He redeemed them, and He bore them and He carried them all the days of old. He carried them. He carried them through all of their stubbornness. He carried them through their rebellion. He carried them. There was a time He said you become my enemy and I chastise you. But He said I carried them all through their trials and temptations, and I tell you God's not about to give up on you. He's not about to let you down. He's going to fight for you. I tell you what, there's not a pastor here that wouldn't fight for you. There's not a pastor here, and there's not a Christian here that wouldn't fight for you, stand up and fight for your very life. How much more does our Holy Master, who takes you in His hands, He's going to hold you up? He's going to hold the church? There's going to be a secure people in this last day, secure in the Lord. The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath you are the everlasting arms. Underneath you are the everlasting arms. Do you see those arms? Are you trusting in your own righteousness or in the everlasting arms of Jesus? Hallelujah. Glory to God. You ought to be telling the devil that now. Devil, you're a liar. I have not arrived yet, but I have set my face, and I'm not turning back. I've set my face like a flint, and my Lord is carrying me. My Lord is carrying me. One last scripture, and boy, this will make you shout. I shouted. Psalm 121. Psalm 121, and then I'm going to close. Oh, hallelujah. Glory to God. This church is going to be a church of joy because the people are secure in Jesus. Healed by His love. Walking in authority. Not afraid of every, I don't care if every demon in hell is spit out. No. This is a triumphant church. Why? Because the Lord is our keeper. Let's read it. Oh, eight verses. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, and let's come of my help. My help cometh from the Lord which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved. He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth these will show me the slumber in their sleep. The Lord is thy keeper. The Lord is thy saint upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil. He shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out, thy coming in from this time forth and forevermore. Hallelujah. Glory to God. Let's stand. Let's stand up. Some of you tonight, some of you tonight that walked in here tonight, or maybe you've been coming to this church, you're among those tonight that can take this authority, but you have to have a willing, open heart. If you're bound, if you're bound by fear or sin or habit, any habit at all that's been tearing you apart, you've been walking under a burden of temptation that's just overwhelming you. Some of you are on the verge of giving up. You're thinking you're not going to get through. Somehow the devil's trying to tell you that you're just not like others, that you're filthy, you're rotten, you're no good. Well, none of us are any good. In us there's no righteousness at all. All our good works is filthy rags. But in Christ, we are the apple of his eye. The apple. Only in Jesus we're the apple of his eye. Up in the balcony, here on the main floor, if you feel a tug, you say, Oh, Brother Dave, I want to walk in freedom. I want to walk in the joy of the Lord. I want to be able to look the whole world in the eye, to look the Holy Ghost in the eye, to know that I'm free. I'm free. That's what my call is. Do you want to be free? Get out of your seat. We're going to take authority. We're going to take absolute authority over that. If you have an open willing heart, up in the balcony, go to the middle section, come down either side, here on the main floor, just come and sit up the front. We're going to pray with you. Ask God for a miracle in your life right now. Up in the balcony, here on the main floor, make your way out, and come and stand here for prayer. Let's pray. I will lift up my eyes unto the heavens. Oh, I will lift up my eyes unto the heavens. Yes, I will lift up my eyes unto the heavens. I will lift up my head. I will lift up my head. I will lift up my eyes unto the heavens. Oh, I will lift up my head. I will lift up my head. I will lift up my eyes unto the heavens. Wherever I go, it hurts when you're not around Oh, I hear you, girl, my eyes are filled with fear Come with me, my love, come with me, my dear Oh, I hear you, girl, my eyes are filled with fear Oh, I hear you, come, come, come, come You that came forward, you lift up both hands, just lift your hands, both Would you cry out to the Lord right now, call on His name? He said, call Him and I'll answer Tell Him what you want right now, tell Him what you're here for Tell Him right now, Lord, I'm here to be free, tell Him Please tell the Lord what you're here for Please tell the Lord what you're here for Tell Him what you're here for right now, Lord I'm here to be set free, I'm here for your healing power I'm here, Lord, to be free Please tell Him, come on, tell Him right out loud Let the Lord know what's in your heart Lord, that's why I'm here I want to be free tonight, I don't want to carry this anymore That's it, tell Him Would you pray this with me right now, right out of your heart? Jesus, loud and clear, please Jesus, I'm here now to make things right and to be free I don't want to be a prisoner, I don't want to be a captive I know you love me, and I know you have the power Set me free from my temptation And make me clean and holy in the righteousness of Jesus, my Lord And if you believe He answers that, thank Him in your own words right now I thank you, Jesus I thank you, Jesus I thank you, Lord Thank you, Lord Jesus I thank you, Lord Praise you, Jesus Praise you, Jesus You that came forward, look this way How many of you that are standing up here tonight are up here for the first time in this church You never came forward, but raise your hand, please You're here for the first time We have counselors back here we'd like to show you You don't join anything, we'd like to pray Come up these steps right here, and right across the stage And over here, please Go up those steps over there You come right this way please God bless you Come back this way God bless you, Brother Sister God bless you God bless you, Brother Your first time here God bless you Lord bless you, dear God bless you Your first time Hi Your first time God bless you First time? God bless you. Your first time? God bless you. This is your night. This is your night. Thank you, Lord. God bless you. He's going to set captives free tonight. Amen. Hallelujah. We may need some more counselors back there. Charles, could you help with one or two? Okay. Well, I will lift up my eyes unto the hill. From its covering, my head. From its covering, my head. I will lift up my eyes unto the hill. From its covering, my head. Alright, listen. You that are standing up here right now, I'm going to ask the Lord to give you a touch of His joy. You say, how can I do that? By simply believing what He said. The Bible says, the joy of the Lord is your strength. If you don't have any joy, you don't have any strength. The joy of the Lord. How do I get that joy? Simply believing what God said is true. He said, you confess your sins with your mouth and believe in your heart. You're saved. And your part is to hate sin. This part is to give you the courage and power to overcome. Could you picture yourself right now with Jesus having His arms right on you and say, come on, I'm going to carry you now. If you love me, seek me with all your heart, I'm going to carry you now. I'm going to carry you. Hallelujah. Do you believe you're in the arms of Jesus? I know you do. Yes, that's when the joy comes. That's when you know you're secure in His love. You're secure in His love, that's when the joy of the Lord comes. Hallelujah. Glory to Jesus. Praise the Lord. I'm excited about next week because we have a big program. We're going to be able to take care of at least 200 down underneath the stage. A carpeted program. It's going to be marvelous. We've been just cramped up back here. Is there enough counselors? Okay. Isn't that going to be exciting? Praise the Lord. Do you know what we do if you've been coming to these services? After the preaching, after the article, we just get happy. We start happy. We administer happy. We leave the church happy. Because the joy of the Lord is our strength. Hallelujah. Let's start with that song you sang this morning. The choir and then Steve. Hang around because we're going to be doing a lot of singing here tonight. Praise the Lord. Are you happy? In the Lord? Glory to God. Hallelujah. Let's worship. The Lord's touched you, hasn't he? The Lord's touched you. The Lord's touched you? How many have been touched by the Lord? Have you been touched by the Lord? You can go back to your seat if you want to or stand here. Let's just have a good time. Praise the Lord. In the next half hour, you can leave at any time you want. Some of you are going to stay a while. We're going to sing and praise the Lord and have a good time in Jesus. Hallelujah. You're just going to have a great time in the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise, praise, praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. I will sing to you a new song. You are my king. My fortress and my strength. Jehovah, you are my fortress.
