Sermon Transcription
God lives and works today, but who can experience his reality? Those who continually call upon his name in faith. For in the name of God, the victorious name of Jesus is contained all the nature and omnipotence of God. Today's meditation by Basilia Schlink will share what this name can mean for each of our lives. Jesus Christ, the victor's name, every knee shall bend before you. Seated on the heavenly throne, all creation shall adore you. For your name such power wields, only triumph victory yields. What does the name Jesus actually mean? Deliverer, savior and help. That is the great joy for us. For he has come to us who is called help and who brings help. Each of us has to face problems, worries and troubles and unsolved difficulties. However, we should also face the reality. He who is called Jesus lives and works today. He is at work to help us for the name Jesus is word and deed. If there are certain areas of our lives where we don't experience any help, it's our fault and not Jesus. For to those who call upon his victorious name, Jesus is help and brings help. It is overwhelming that there is someone whom we can totally rely on. Jesus will bring us help, for that is his name and he can't deny his name. Truly, our Lord Jesus can do nothing other than help us, for that is what his name expresses and his entire being radiates. Perhaps you've never quite believed this or experienced it in your unsolved problems, difficulties and troubles. Jesus is the helper and the deliverer when nothing else can help. At a large medical conference, 600 doctors confirmed, we cannot help the countless people addicted to drugs. However, in a radio interview, a former drug addict testified, I'm completely free. I could jump for joy. Everything in my life has become free and unburdened. I only want to shout to the world, Jesus lives. Yes, we have a savior, a deliverer who loves us so much. We have someone who can help. We need only call upon the victorious name of Jesus. Even hell before you yielding, Jesus' name we ever bless, All its power and might confess. Praise and love and honor pay To this holy name of Jesus. All the heavens on its way Sing with us its splendid glory It's all conquering love adore Jesus, Savior, Christ our love.
