Sermon Summary
Mike Bickle emphasizes the spiritual and military significance of the battle for Jerusalem, asserting that it is a pivotal conflict in the end times that will determine the fate of nations and the church. He explains that Jesus will return as a military leader to reclaim Jerusalem, and this battle is intrinsically linked to Satan's ultimate fate of imprisonment. Bickle calls for believers to engage in this spiritual battle, highlighting the necessity for the church to stand firm in their faith and support God's purposes for Israel. He warns that the battle will force every individual to make a choice regarding their allegiance to Christ, ultimately leading to the purification of the church and the fulfillment of God's promises.

Get them to you anyone in the room. Okay, just a couple hands there Good job ushers ninety nine point nine nine percent of them. Got it. That's hard to do Again, those of you that are just here the first time we don't go through all the notes But I like to give you the main principles and the Bible verses, but we'll cover some of them And any of these notes that any of you want to use our copyright is the right to copy so you can Do anything with it that you want change it Put your name on it your mom's name on it anything that you want. Okay Let's pray Father we thank you in the name of Jesus For the awesome revelation in the Word of God of the great battle That is being waged in the spirit now that you will fully manifest your glory and victory in The battle for Jerusalem and we thank you for it in Jesus name. Amen Well, I'm calling this the battle for Jerusalem it is the One of the most intense battle fronts in the spirit today, and it's going on today in the spirit It is a battle for the spiritual control of Jerusalem the physical control of Jerusalem And it's a military battle that will culminate at the return of the Lord Most of you are aware that Jesus is Coming back in context to a battle surrounding this the city of Jerusalem He's not just coming because he is coming to show his glory He obviously he's doing that but he's actually coming in context to win a battle before all the nations of the earth It's a military context Obviously he shows his glory and that's his higher purpose. But there's that Very practical context of which the scripture goes to great lengths to describe It is one of the most significant battle fronts of the spirit today It's obvious that there is a battle for the control of Jerusalem right now. You see it in the news You see it in many different ways It will be ended in a glorious victory by the appearing of Jesus as the captain of the armies of heaven He's not just coming as our Savior He's coming as a military captain over all the nations of the earth the captain of the Lord's army and when he wins this battle he will then he will throw the Antichrist and the false prophet into the lake of fire alive and Then he will bind Satan in prison for 1,000 years with no hope of probation at all But he really will go to prison now, that's a very significant point Because that is I believe one of the key issues on Satan's mind right now Is that he wants to avoid this prison sentence that will happen only if? He loses the battle for Jerusalem the battle for Jerusalem and his prison sentence are connected together and As we connected in our own thinking it makes more sense as To what's happening in this battle for Jerusalem? Let's let's read how this battle ends John describes the end of the battle in a military sense John I mean Revelation chapter 19 verse 11 Behold a white horse and he who sat upon him he makes war Now again, Jesus is second coming is in context to a battle He's coming to make war and we know from many other passages not here in Revelation 19 But many others that are the complementary passages that the battle is around the city of Jerusalem he has a robe and a names written on the robe king of kings and Lord of Lords verse 19 Then I saw the Antichrist or the beast I saw the kings of the earth. I saw their armies They were gathered together to make war against him and again you put ten other verses in there It's clear. They're gathered around the city of Jerusalem to make war against Jesus verse 20 Then the Antichrist was captured and the false prophet they were cast alive into the lake of fire Chapter 20 verse 1 and Just ignore the chapter division because they were put in many years later after John wrote this vision Then I saw an angel and the the immediate Consequence of the winning of this battle is in chapter 20 verse 1 an angel at the command of Jesus under Jesus's authority Laid hold of Satan and Bound him for 1,000 years and cast him into prison for 1,000 years. I Believe that is the biggest thing on Satan's mind is that verse right there? He is determined to do everything in his power to avoid that prison sentence Yes, he hates the human race. Yes. He hates the church But there's something that's on his mind more than his hatred of Christians he wants to stay out of prison and Again, I believe that that gives us some insight into the battle for Jerusalem because if he wins that battle he doesn't go to prison We'll look at that as as we develop this teaching in just the next few moments paragraph B Zechariah describes the very scene that John just described he gives more details Zechariah 14 verse 2 and 3. It's exact same context That John just described where Jesus came king is king of kings The Lord says in Zechariah 14 verse 2 I will gather all the nations To battle against Jerusalem Now that's the term the phrase the battle against Jerusalem. And of course I talk about it slightly different the battle for Jerusalem Now here it makes it clear that God is Gathering the nations to battle against Jerusalem. He said God is yes God is gathering them because it's in this context. He's going to destroy them. It's a trap He's gathering them there to destroy them all in one place in one dynamic glorious Intervention of Jesus as captain of the armies of heaven Revelation 16 tells us that Satan is gathering them Then other passages make it clear that men are being our gap are going to that battle because of their own greed and their own evil desires So somebody might ask Who's doing it? Is it God? Is it the devil or is it just sinful men acting out their own motives and their own evil desires? And the answer is all three Now they're all three being motivated for a different goal and being motivated by a different spirit God's reason for gathering them is to destroy them to drive evil off the planet Satan's reason for gathering them is to win the battle to stay out of prison Men are gathering because they want the spoil. They want to take what belongs to Israel like they've done throughout history so three different motives a different spirit operating But all three working together for God's grand purposes. Let's read this again Zechariah 14 I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem Verse 3 then the Lord will go forth. That's this is the Revelation 19 scene We just looked at where he comes as the one on the white horse the king of kings and the Lord of lords He will go forth. He will fight against those nations and he will destroy them all and he will drive Evil off the planet in one great Grand event and then he will cast Satan into prison so he cannot tempt the nation's for 1,000 years Paragraph C. I Believe that the battle for Jerusalem is a key issue in the perfecting of the end time church or the maturing of it And I'll explain that In just a few moments, but we know this in Ephesians 5 27 When the Lord returns for his church his church will be glorious with no compromise When it says no blemish that's talking about the church on the earth not just in heaven in the resurrection He's coming for a church that has no blemish. That's walking free of compromise worldwide now we look at the church right now and we say wow a Lot has to happen between now and then Well a lot is going to happen between now and then One is the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit in all of history far beyond the book of Acts is going to be released That's going to help the church walk blameless But there's also going to be a great conflict in the earth Of which I'm calling the battle for Jerusalem Which every single believer and unbeliever on the planet must make a choice where they stand in this battle Even if they don't want to make a choice They will be forced to the circumstances will draw everybody into the conflict worldwide now many will like to avoid making a decision they won't be able to and In the context of this conflict the church will be purified Those that say, you know, I don't really want to do this Jesus thing anymore now that I really think about it and They'll fall away from the Lord They'll deny the Lord and the others that are saying I love Jesus, but I really haven't settled some issues they will settle issues really in a definitive way in the context of the great outpouring and the great conflict and the rage of Satan and the judgments of God and Just the social upheaval that this battle will bring it will cause people to live for one thing and one thing only For the look for the glory of God and under the lordship of Jesus those I mean who choose him. They'll go all the way this idea of half-and-half Christianity, it won't work in that hour and The net result of all of these forces working together the church really will be full of glory and will walk blameless before the Lord returns But again, some very dynamic things must happen between now and then positive and negative Paragraph D Gentile believers have a significant role in this battle because we have a role in it spiritually now But it will also be a political and a material in a military battle We won't be involved in a military sense where we shoot guns not in that way, but we are involved in it right now spiritually by the stance we take the prayers we pray our Actions our attitudes lining up with what Jesus wants for the city of Jerusalem. That is his city That is the one city. He's claimed as his own and It's his city forever in Matthew chapter 5 he called it the city of the great king talking about himself It's his city and he will have the full possession of it as his own city forever and ever and ever and the devil wants that city and Even now the Lord is requiring his people to engage in the spiritual battle That again, it's political as well. But at the core of it for the church. We are engaged in the spiritual dimension of it But it will be a full military conflict before it's over. It's a little bit now But it's gonna get far more intense in the military sense Well, we have paragraph D a significant role in this battle The Lord's not gonna just wave his hand and win the battle, but he's gonna he's gonna win the battle by his own strength But he's going to involve his people in the process and he will purify his people in the process Our role in this battle grows in intensity and It grows in significance the closer we get to the Lord's return Every decade that goes by we get closer and closer the intensity of the battle Increases and increases and the significance of it as well Therefore we must understand this battle we cannot go on business as usual Like so much of the body of Christ with this idea of you know, I don't get that Israel thing Well, that is real thing is going to be the dividing line in the body of Christ throughout the whole world before the Lord Returns because the Lord requires that we stand with him in the battle And it's going to go more It's going to be a much more serious thing than that Israel thing that so many I'm not even saying that critical I don't I don't mean that in a way to put people down but you hear that the vast majority of the body of Christ I those are the words of my own mouth. I don't get that Israel thing and The Lord's answers. Well, it's bigger than that. It's central to my entire global in time purpose God's Word insists that the church stand with Jesus in this battle That doesn't mean we agree with everything Israel does at all. Israel is a wicked nation Israel hates God as a nation right now and So we don't look at Israel go wow, aren't they awesome? No Israel is going to go through the most severe chastisement because Israel's problem is that God loves Israel and Israel hates God That's a problem Israel's problem. It's not mostly the devil in the Antichrist. It's the zeal of God He won't let her go and she doesn't want him. That is the bigger problem in front of Israel Now obviously there are people in the nation that love is love God, but the vast majority have no concern for God But God has great concern for them and that to me is the biggest problem So we don't look at Israel and say while they're Israel they get a free pass. No just opposite Because they are the very object that city in that nation that Geographic area of those people are the object of God's affection. He won't take no for an answer from them That is huge trouble for them if they persist in saying no And so when we look at Israel, we don't have this kind of pro-israel Whatever they do must be right. I don't pray for the Israeli military to win. I Pray for the Israeli military to repent and to honor Jesus the Israeli military the Egyptian military the US military the Syrian military But 232 nations and put the word military they're all sinful organizations I'm not praying that a sinful organization beats another sinful organization Even though all of them undoubtedly have some good Goals and objectives they're led by wicked sinful men for the most part all of them and There's no merit in a sinful nation beating a sinful nation. We have one grand Objective that every nation bows down and honors Jesus that's what we pray for a matter of fact the Israeli military and some of their victories will become one of the Hindrances and the bolstering of their pride that causes them to actually resist Jesus but that pride will be broken and my prayer is not that they're They'll flex their muscles and be strong. My prayer is that the Israeli Government and military will bow down before Jesus. It's my prayer for the American military and government as well So whose side are we on? We're on the Lord's side We're not on we're not wanting to see That nation win victories and be more resistant to God in their pride because they want a victory Say Lord Show mercy, but capture their hearts. And so that's what I believe the the right prayer focus is the highest issue in the end of paragraph D and serving God's purpose for Israel is To obey Jesus Jesus is the issue Far more than the object of Jesus's affection, which is Israel. Well, it's though it's the human race He has affection for the whole human race But again, I don't look at Israel and say Wow Israel. I look at Israel say Jesus Whoever you love whatever purpose you have. I'm on your team. I love you I will stand for you in anything that you care about and I believe that's the posture that Brings us into a position of loyalty for his purposes for Israel. We want we love what he loves We want to do what he does The reason that this paragraph is important because some people in their zeal They have they communicate a greater zeal for Israel than Jesus and the others in the body of Christ that love Jesus They can't connect with it. They said somewhere I missed something in the train in the communication. And so we need to make sure That it's our zeal for Jesus that's motivating us and that's the that's the thing that captures us more than anything else And I think with that posture, we're going to have more and more of the body of Christ go If Jesus is into this that's different now, I'll listen now What's that Israel thing again now because it's a Jesus thing that we're talking about Roman numeral two Jesus will not forcibly take the leadership the kingship over Israel He won't come back until he's invited to be king over Israel in the city of Jerusalem He won't come back until then but he won't force his hand He will wait till they say come back Now he's going to use his power as God to create the context where they change what they want Right now they don't want him as their king but the Lord will allow a context the devil is fully engaged sinful man are fully engaged and God in his glory is fully engaged a Context will be will be created where Israel changes what they want right now. They don't want him As far as I can see there's no nation on the earth that hates Jesus more than Israel But there will be more no nation on earth who loves Jesus more than Israel when the thing is over Right now they don't want him but the context is going to change and they're going to change what they want But even with that in place Jesus won't come to them tell they want him He will not force his hand as their leader, but they will change what they want Matthew 23 Jesus gave a prophecy a Very significant prophecy and he gave it to the leaders the governmental leaders over the land of Israel But particularly the headquarters if you will the main governmental leaders of Israel were based in the city of Jerusalem and his Prophecy his last words to them as a group He said to them verse 37 Matthew 23. Oh Jerusalem How often I? Wanted to gather your children But you were not willing and I won't do it till you're willing and tell you want me to I won't do it He had the power back then to force them. He didn't what he won't force them He could create the context where they change what they want, but he will not force them to want him He said you were unwilling you did not want me verse 38 See your house is left to you desolate. He was saying your nation is going to be desolate You will see and it's been that way for 2,000 years verse 39 now, here's the prophecy I Say to you this is one of the most intense prophetic utterances and the whole word of God You and he points right to them. I imagine You leaders of Israel's based here in the city of Jerusalem you top governmental leaders You will not see me again in other words, I Will not appear in the clouds in glory and my second coming until something happens I'm waiting for something to happen before I return. Ah You will not see me until you say with your own lips Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord Quoting Psalm 118 a very famous messianic passage that the leaders of Israel understood when Jesus said this When he said you won't see me tell you say blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord? He was saying go to Psalm 118 look it up. Of course. They already knew it. Well, I'm that man. I am the Messiah Now think about the implications of this prophecy You will not see me again. Meaning my second coming to the earth will not happen Until I'm invited by the leaders of the city of Jerusalem to be their king Because it's from Jerusalem he's going to rule the earth. He's not going to rule the earth from the sky he's ruling the earth from a throne in a city, but he won't begin his rule of the earth until he's on the throne in a city and he can't be on a throne in the city if If he doesn't have control of the city and he's not going to just demand the control of the city He gave the city to the nation of Israel and he will wait till the governmental leaders invite him back He's coming according to justice because he gave the city to them He said I'll wait until you exercise your authority and call me back So I can imagine the leaders of Israel going you're not coming back to the city till we ask you to well That's good Because we don't want you back matter of fact what you don't know Jesus. We have already planned to kill you anyway So you just wasted this whole opportunity, but of course Jesus knew a lot more than they knew So here's what it comes down to Jesus will not come back in the sky Until he's prepared to come to the earth. He's not coming to the sky and then returning back He's coming in the sky to land on the earth on a throne in a city called Jerusalem Then he will govern the earth from the it will the ripple effect of him his entry into Jerusalem Will cover the earth But he said this and tell the Jewish leadership we're not talking about just You know the little Messianic congregation We're talking about the main governmental leaders that are alive in that area in that hour together. All of them will say this in essence Jesus of Nazareth is God and we missed it and we want him now That's what this verse means they will say Jesus of Nazareth is God and In that they will admit they missed it course Zechariah 12 the famous passage verse 10 to 14 describes their grief and their weeping and their admission of failure in guilt in rejecting him What a dramatic thing Now if you would tell this to the government to go to the Knesset to the governmental leadership of Israel and say when you say Jesus of Nazareth is God not just man, but God and man and that you missed it then everything will be solved They'll say that's not going to happen But it is going to happen Because the context is going to be so intense and he is going to be so powerful and kind They will see him as their only option and they will lament the fact that they've rejected him all of these years Well, what happened is that Jesus bound himself by this prophecy he bound himself He said I won't come till you say it now. This is my this is my Insight into this and and many others as well. I mean, I don't claim it in a unique way But here's what I think happened because it doesn't say it explicitly in the Bible But what I believe happened is that Satan heard this prophecy and he said, okay Until they are converted and call on Jesus. He can't come back So if I can keep Israel from calling on calling him the Messiah He can't come back. He doesn't come back. I don't go into prison and I believe that Satan's Primary objective is to keep that city from calling Jesus back because he can't come back until they call him and until he comes Back Satan won't never go to prison till Jesus comes back because he's sent into prison By Jesus as King ruling in Jerusalem paragraph B Peter understood some of this and Peter said repent Acts 319 and be converted That your sins may be blotted out. He is calling the city of Jerusalem to be converted to Jesus What happens? When the city of Jerusalem is converted to Jesus when he says your sins He's pointing to the people in the city of Jerusalem Particularly the leadership, but he's including all He said when you are converted city of Jerusalem in essence your sins are blotted out then the times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord verse 20 and Then the father will send Jesus The father will not send Jesus until the city of Jerusalem is converted Or they're calling out for Jesus is the point Verse 21 Heaven must receive him or retain him heaven must keep him up there until the times of Restoration of all things spoken of by the mouth of the prophets. Here's what this means Here's the order the city of Jerusalem is converted. What that means is they call on Jesus when they call on Jesus The father releases Jesus to be received in the city of Jerusalem and then The period of the restoration of all things the Millennial Kingdom the glory of God across the whole earth it begins with that Right there but the key beginning point the first domino that goes down in this verse is the city of Jerusalem being converted or acknowledging Jesus as their Messiah When they do that the times of the restoration of everything happens But not before that so the key is what the conversion of the city of Jerusalem Meaning that the leaders and the people I'm not minimizing the role the people but when the leaders do it It will be so dramatic. They will acknowledge Jesus is Messiah right after that begins this Thousand year process of the glory of God filling the earth top of page two now Some of you this is familiar material So others of you, this is new material I want to encourage you just to take some of these verses take You know time in the next week or two or three and read through them slowly and go Is this really what the Bible says because don't accept it if it's not in the Bible It's what I tell her Bible students all the time I go if what you hear in this pulpit You don't see with your eyes in your own Bible Then you challenge it and you throw it out till you see with your own eyes in your own Bible I gave you the same Exhortation throw this out until you see it But I think that if you'll read the scriptures and there's many more than just this little handout here you'll find out that the battle for Jerusalem really is the centerpiece of where this conflict is going and that Satan's focus is on the city of Jerusalem and the body of Christ is the extension of The Lord's grace and glory in the earth right now and we're waging war under his leadership For the control of the city under the the Kingship of Jesus as a human king on the earth I mean, we know he's fully God, but he's coming fully man as well and he'll reign in Jerusalem as a man fully God and fully man paragraph C I Said it but I'll say it again Satan is not cast into prison till after the battle for Jerusalem is won and Till after the city is under the control of Jesus and Then Jesus will the ripple effect of him having a throne in Jerusalem will cover the earth It will take a while for his glory to be spread and all the governments of the earth to be fully transformed and in order It will take a while. He doesn't wave his hand one day and four minutes later. All of a sudden the earth is fully Christianized But from Jerusalem that Dynamic ripple effect begins But the first I believe one of the first acts if not the very first when he's on his throne in Jerusalem Received by the people he throws Satan into prison What a terrifying moment for Satan When one with far greater authority than him a man With far greater power than he has cast him into prison before all the host of hell watching him paragraph D Now I believe that Satan is now this is a kind of a strange way to say it I don't quite know how to say it better But Satan is seeking to exploit this prophecy He's looking to find a loophole in God's end-time purpose That's not the best way to say the principle. I'm trying to make here, but the only way it's the best way I know how to say it Satan's does the logic if the city of Jerusalem and the leaders particularly don't invite Jesus back. He can't come back He swore he wouldn't come back He can't if he does he's a liar And if he's a liar, he can't judge me in prison for being a liar He can't come back if sit if the leaders of Jerusalem don't invite him So I believe he's looking to exploit this loophole that he thinks he found I'm gonna make sure the city of Jerusalem never invites him back Paragraph II There's three different ways at least he might have a half a dozen more that Satan's strategy to exploit this loophole to involve include number one. He's gonna try to deceive the residents of Israel the Jewish people in Jerusalem particularly the leaders to making an alliance with him and taking the mark of the beast It's gonna show himself as their Messiah. So one group is going to be deceived and they're gonna make an alliance So now they can't call him Jesus back as Messiah. They're out of the picture. He has those taken care of the next strategy He's going to try to kill Jews all over the earth so they're not alive to do it The next strategy not that these are in order He is going to see that whoever he does not kill is so offended at Jesus They will never ever invite him back never ever So deceives part of them kills part of them and offends the others if he can work Successful in all three arenas there is no body left to call him back Well, it's not gonna work and I'm sure that this isn't the I'm sure there's a better ways to say this But I believe this is in the vein of what is in Satan's mind. This is in the the direction of how he's thinking So he's operating on all three levels. He's trying to kill the Jewish people off worldwide He made a very Very aggressive attempt through Adolf Hitler to exterminate the Jews throughout all of Europe He came up short There's another man coming Far more powerful and far more wicked than Adolf Hitler and he will have the same agenda to exterminate the Jewish people Then a bunch of others will be deceived and many others will just be offended at Jesus They'll say no that Jesus thing that Yeshua thing. No, no way But the Lord's gonna win in all of this Paragraph G. I believe Satan's main agenda his rage the rage that is in his heart is to stay out of prison When I talk to some Christians a they imagine Satan's biggest thing is just to trouble their life He loves to trouble your life. He hates you perfectly But you are not the biggest thing on his mind his own Destiny is on his mind more than you are if he can destroy you on the way to his bigger goals He'd love it, but you are little on his agenda He wants to stay out of prison Take a step back He's using terrorist bombers to blow up the city of Jerusalem. He's not blowing up popular mega ministries He's blowing up the city of Jerusalem Because that's what troubles him That's what bothers him is Jerusalem Now if the mega ministries get involved in the battle for Jerusalem, he will now then be focused on them in a whole new way He wants to take out anyone that is participating with Yeshua Jesus that's his Hebrew name. That's the name that that they he was called in his day Yeshua They if Satan sees people operating in loyalty to Yeshua for his global purposes his end time purposes for the city of Jerusalem I tell you Satan will have a far greater zeal But there will be a far greater glory and those people's lives as well Roman numeral three the centerpiece of God's eternal purpose now when we think about Jesus coming back to Jerusalem, I Think it's important that we have this one piece in place in our thinking and Many believers have this and some this is new to them That when Jesus returns his goal one of his grand goals Says here in Ephesians 1 verse 9 and 10 is to join together The heavenly realm and the earthly realm together on the earth Paul said That God's made known the mystery of his will What is the great plan that God's hidden from ages past? What is it that he's going to bring together? Into one into unity all things and the heavenly and the earthly realm. Here's my point Is that we don't die and go to heaven Yes, we do now between now and the second coming between the resurrection and the second coming when we die we go to heaven But the ultimate goal heaven right now as we know it is a temporary holding pattern The goal is it for us to die in and stay in the heavenly realm with a disembodied spirit The goal is to have a physical Resurrected body and for heaven and earth to come together on the earth to have the physical and the supernatural realm together And and the centerpiece of that is the city of Jerusalem. That's where it all begins So we don't spend eternity on a white cloud playing a harp Without a body right now the Saints in heaven They don't have a body because they don't need a body to relate to the environment of heaven It's a supernatural environment But at the time of the second coming we will all the believers will get a resurrected body why we will need one Because our inheritance will be heaven on the earth. The two Jerusalems are coming together in full unity The heavenly realm and the earthly realm will be together on the earth and the center of this the the the beginning point and even the source of the glory of God going forth is the City of Jerusalem. It's Yeshua City forever And the reason I mention this because when you think of the future a thousand years from now a million years from now It's hard to picture what the prophets described if you see yourself on a cloud playing a harp in a disembodied spirit You can't these prophecies don't make sense because the future describes Earthly conditions with gardens growing and cities rebuilt, but we have resurrected bodies and angels How does that work? The two realms are going together and God's throne will dwell with men And that means on the earth openly Can you imagine that grand verse that we all know so well in Revelation 21 3 when it says behold? The tabernacle of God is among men. That's not saying the tabernacle of God is in heaven among human beings That's already true He's already among human beings in heaven That verse is talking about his throne will come to the earth and be in the earthly realm He will dwell among men in the natural realm. That's where this thing is going can you imagine the whole glory of the Garden of Eden fully reversed and the Tabernacle or the throne of God on the earth with the throne of Jesus the two together and the whole earth with the Supernatural and the natural realm fully integrated together forever and forever now, that's exciting You'll eat food You'll have a material physical body Your body will be as physical and material as it is now But with all the properties of the resurrection and the glory of God When I think of my future, I don't think of floating with a disembodied spirit playing a harp. I Think of being on the earth of the real body learning and knowing people again eating food Jesus came back in a resurrected body. He ate the fish with them They touched him he said one of the most remarkable statements in Luke 24 He said see do I not have flesh and bones? Don't I have them he is a resurrected body his flesh and bones. It's a different type of flesh It's a glorified. It's a different order But beloved work. It's gonna be really awesome Now the question the big question Alan Hood's perplexed by Jesus ate that fish that he passed through the wall Alan Hood the head of our Bible school. He goes did the fish go through the wall with him? I don't know I don't know how that works I'll have just been in turmoil about that for years Paragraph B Jesus will rule all the nations from the earthly Jerusalem Look at those verses there. There's many verses that say this in the Millennial Kingdom But it's also true that his throne is in the New Jerusalem So is his throne in the earthly Jerusalem in the Millennium or is this throne in the New Jerusalem, which is it? The answer is both because the two are coming together The New Jerusalem and the earthly Jerusalem will come together end of in a dynamic convergence It's one throne in great glory Under the one man who's fully God and fully man in the city of Jerusalem and Satan does not want him in that city Let's go to top of page three Paragraph a Satan has so much rage Against the city of Jerusalem he has great rage against the Jewish people He will not succeed but he wants to exterminate the Jewish people And what happened in Nazi Germany? Is going we're going to see it again But this time the body of Christ and the anointing of the Spirit Worldwide will stand up and stand with Jesus in his purpose And they will stand with the Jewish people under the greatest conflict ever and there will be supernatural deliverance and glory and provision beyond anything we can imagine and in that Context the church will be purified because the compromisers will say I want no part of this and they'll deny their faith and Those that say yes to Jesus believers They will go on into mature faith and it will bring a unity of Jews and Gentiles as a one new man under Jesus that will not happen apart from this great conflict the one new man the Jews and Gentiles under Jesus They won't just come together Because they have conferences and they sit around the table and discuss their differences and they decide to be nice about it I appreciate those. I appreciate those kind of events. I've been to a bunch of them and I think they're helpful But when Jews and Christians together under the glory of God stand together in the most hostile moment of human history and the glory of God is in their midst then There will be a one new man of Jew and Gentile at a level far beyond anything that we can imagine Revelation 12, I won't read it But you can read it on your own Satan is going to persecute the woman which is the remnant of Israel with rage He's coming after her and there will be supernatural protection For the remnant of Israel not all will be protected but many will be We don't know the percentage But I know one thing verse 17 the rage of Satan will also be against the church because the two will be Operating together the remnant of Israel the unsaved remnant of Israel that's yet to be saved as well as the believing Messianic community, which is the body of Christ in essence. We're all one church together We're one community one family of God together But Satan verse 17 will go to make war against the church For reasons that he hates the church, but for other reasons because the church is standing with the remnant of Israel It's the only group in the earth that will stand with Israel and the power of God will be the people of The the born-again Jewish community around I mean Gentile believers around the world paragraph B The most severe time in history is yet to come I Like to say it this way our greatest days and our most severe days are yet ahead The greatest days for Israel are yet ahead, but so are their most severe days, but the same is true for the church The same is true for the unbelievers their most severe day is yet ahead But it can be their greatest day if they come to believing faith in Jesus I Have three verses here Look at this one in Daniel 12. This is a very Important verse 1 Daniel 12 verse 1 at that time talking about the generation the Lord returns in those final Hours before the Lord comes there will be a time of trouble as there never was This is a mighty angel telling Daniel. There's one period of time it goes for three and a half years There will be a time of trouble that is unequal to any time in history, and he's talking particularly About the nation of Israel here, but we know from other scriptures. It's true on a global level One guy says well, I don't want to be around Israel when that happens What do you think there's not going to be trouble in the nations to the trouble will be all over the earth There is no point to leave this city to go to that city to avoid trouble the key is to be in the will of God The trouble will be all over the earth and the glory of God will be all over the earth The goal is obedience. That's the goal be in the will of God Then the angel says he swore he lifted up his hand and He swore an oath that says when you read the whole passage That it will be for time times and half of times Which is clearly when you put it together with other scriptures means three and a half years I don't want to go into that right now But but the vast majority of Bible teachers who teach Bible prophecy agree with that It's the vast majority that phrase time times and half a time means three and a half years He swore and he said it will be trouble for three and a half years now look at this When the power of the holy people will be complete He Swore he goes it will only last three and a half years and it will shatter the power of Israel meaning this The Israeli army is not going to bail Israel out of her dilemma with God Now again, I pray for the Israeli army, but I pray they'll be converted not that they'll flex their muscles and have reason for pride That's not what I pray for But before it's over Israel will have no ability To lean on their military their Negotiations their finances their power will be shattered There will be no help to deliver them in the dilemma. That's coming The devil's creating the dilemma. God is creating the dilemma and sinful sinful men are creating the dilemma again They all have different reasons. They're operating by a different spirit, but it all works together for a great dilemma Jesus quotes this passage in Matthew 24 He's actually here in the next passages Matthew 24 21 He's quoting what the dead angel told Daniel back here in Daniel 12 He's actually referencing what that angel said to Daniel and he says he's right It will be the most severe time in history. No time like it before or after never let nothing like it Paragraph see I Say this very with a heavy heart, but with sober confidence in God One of the Hebrew prophets Zechariah gives one of the most graphic descriptions It says it shall come to pass in all the land That two-thirds Zechariah 13 verse 8 9 shall be cut off and died two-thirds of the people in the land will die One third will be left and they will be saved We look at the two-thirds and say that's unthinkable If there's six million people in Israel, that would be four million of the six million that that numbers Just unbelievably high but then that's two million that become radical born-again believers in Jesus in Yeshua both numbers are to the extreme a Number of commentaries The word land it says in the land and the word earth in the Hebrew is the exact same word All through the Old Testament wherever that word is there they have to determine does it mean in the earth or in the land and Commentaries, I've read quite a few on this passage many of them Hebrew commentaries. I mean Giving the Hebrew word they say it should come to pass in all the earth Two-thirds will die and one third will be saved another go. No. No, it's not all the earth. It's in the land I said, I don't know. I'm not a Hebrew scholar All I know is that both numbers are real intense whether it's the land or the earth Two-thirds, I can't fathom this but one-third Being saved. I mean radically coming to salvation in Yeshua What a Graphic description of the trouble that's coming but of the glory because look at how many get saved paragraph D Zechariah in the same context a Minute ago. We looked at chapter Africa chapter 14. He's in the same message. He's in the same He gives more details a little bit just a moment later in the same message He says well, let me let me give you some more on this Verse 2 Zechariah 14 I will gather all of the nations Against Jerusalem. This is God doing it again. God. You're doing it. God says not to destroy Jerusalem That's why the devil's doing it. I'm going to destroy the nations. That's I'm gathering them to a trap But in their own pride, they will be easy to seduce because they're proud their pride is so strong They will be blinded in their zeal for covetousness and anger and hatred They'll be easy to bait They'll come together The city shall be taken. Let me say that again the city of Jerusalem. It will be captured Now I believe we should pray that it would not be captured because we don't know when it's going to be captured and let's get A few victories between now and then but eventually it will be captured but the glory is only for a moment Only for a moment because it will be the ruling city on the earth forever It will be a moment of turmoil and great turmoil and it will be a Lifetime of glory like forever and forever and forever Jerusalem will be liberated in the glory of God under the kingship of Jesus Half the city will go into captivity. Do you know what captivity is? It's prison Captivity this is terrifying to me when I read this verse I go ah Half the city will go into prison camps Beloved that's a stunning statement terrible. I mean terrible wonderful terrible horrible I Only say wonderful for this reason it will lead to national conversion only in that sense. Is it wonderful? It's terrible I look at this and I just my mouth is closed But then the Lord will say and we're not going to really have time to develop it too much But the Lord would come along say Oh Body of Christ don't think you'll be back watching this on YouTube You will be at the point of the arrow with them on a global level Standing with them in the full conflict. You will not back down And again it will be the occasion of purifying the church and it will be the occasion of Releasing the glory of God in signs and wonders at a whole new level and bringing in the great harvest it all works together one grand Storyline of which Jerusalem is the centerpiece Beloved we must understand this battle for Jerusalem Good news look at the end of verse 2 the remnant shall not be cut off. God will save a people They will not be harmed even in the midst of it. There will be Supernatural deliverance in the midst of it like even in the book of Acts James and John Go to prison Peter James and John One Apostle is delivered and one of them is killed We don't understand. I mean they're both good. They're godly one Apostle dies Paul went to prison was supernaturally delivered one time and was killed the other time. How do we figure it out? We don't but we do know there will be a super natural Deliverance with signs and wonders of a remnant in the midst of this great carnage Paragraph II Now again, I say this with great trepidation, but it is so clear in the scriptures and it's almost entirely ignored by Jewish and Gentile believers in the Word of God That one of the key facets in the Bible describing the end time storyline is Jews in prison camps There's like 25 verses in the Bible and not not two or three It's not two or there's like three verses that there's gonna be a great trumpet in the sky There's like five verses all the Saints will be together There's like ten verses that you know different facets there's like I haven't counted them up I don't even want to know the number but it's a long list of Israel in prison Not all of them but all over the nations this isn't just in the land of Israel and That's again. The reason I care about this is I don't want to go to to Israel say hey Israel guess what I found out about where this is going That's not my message. My message is to the Gentile believers around the earth I'm gonna say do you realize this is going to be dynamically affecting our lives because we will stand with them and some of us will go to prison and The Lord will require loyalty to him in this process and it's important that we have a sober Assessment of what's coming in the future. There's some folks and I don't want to be too crass about this, but there's some folks They're so so far blowing wave the flag do the dance Love Israel of Israel, but the moment there's trouble and their money and their life is on the line They don't know it's real no more. I Don't know who they are But I know human beings and I imagine there's plenty of them This is going to require more than shofars and dances and dresses and all those things This is going to require our life and our money in reality Page four will come to bring this to conclusion The Lord requires everyone to stand The issue Zechariah 12 of Jerusalem will be a heavy stone for everyone. This will this heavy stones deciding for or against Jesus in the battle for Jerusalem, this stone will trouble every home group and every neighborhood in the earth This won't just bother the political leaders every little village in Asia Africa Latin America Every island people will be troubled by this decision. It will be a heavy stone for everybody Don't imagine that there will be some little nice subdivision somewhere on the earth that kind of skips the whole thing. It won't happen It will be a heavy stone for everybody to bear God requires the church to stand one of the glaring examples. It's Corrie ten boom. We know the story World War two her family in The Netherlands stood with the Jews in Persecution and the whole family went to prison camps and died in Corrie the young one live to tell the story. I Mean people were really gonna die. I'm talking Gentiles are really gonna die, but it's gonna be the most glorious hour Our goal cannot be to escape death, you know, everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die The goal of life is not to escape physical death the goal of life is obedience to God in union with God and Whether you die physically or you're raptured we're gonna change bodies in a minute anyway We live with a bigger storyline Physical death isn't the big issue and God's going to make show that as a reality We are sons and daughters of the resurrection and we're gonna live like it fearless before death Paragraph B Paul Said quoting Moses Moses was the first one who said it Paul quoted Romans 11 verse 11 that the Gentiles are going to provoke the Jews to jealousy Now Paul said this 2,000 years ago That we were primarily Gentiles in this room. We're gonna provoke the Jews to jealousy. What does that mean? It means we are going to provoke them to want what we have spiritually We are gonna have something so dynamic in the spirit through our relationship to Jesus Yeshua They're going to want what we have spiritually. That's what it means to provoke them to jealousy 2,000 years later There are a few examples exceptions But I'm guessing 99% of the Jews through history. Maybe I'm off on the number. I don't know but it's a very high percent They are not remotely provoked to have what Gentiles have spiritually. They look at the Gentiles. They think you've got to be kidding I want nothing that you have now if you force me through torture to accept your religion I guess I might but I don't want to But something is going to happen so dramatic that has not happened in 2,000 years except for rare examples here and there through history Where the Jewish people as a whole are going to see the body of Christ and say we want in We want what you have we want to have spiritually what you have and of course the answer is going to be that really we as Gentiles only have what is rightfully theirs. It's the tree of Abraham. It's the olive tree. It's their tree We're crafted into it. We'll say it's your tree. Let me give you an example There's some Jews in flight this won't be in Israel's be all over the earth So they you accept you accept some into your house You know, it's a state crime to do this. It will be a state crime Your life will be in jeopardy and your children will be killed if you're caught it will be real Won't be a practice game. It'll be real Again the man coming is far more powerful and far more evil than Adolf Hitler far more powerful far more intelligent And he's serious about Completing his task. He won't complete it, but he'll be serious about it. So you take 10 Jews in flight into your home Well, there's 15 of you around the table, but there's only 10 potatoes So, what are we going to do so you pray in the name of Jesus and now there's a multiplication of food and The Jewish man in flight says Hey Our guys did that in the Old Testament. Well, that's not the Old Testament to them. That's the only Testament Hey, wait our guys multiplied food How did you do that? We'll say well We are inspired by your guys because your head guy is the guy that we obey What What do you mean our head guy? Yeah, your Messiah the one that Elijah and David and all the others were following ultimately That's yeah, it's the same power. It's your guys that have inspired us, huh? so then The little girl speaks up at dinner says daddy I had a dream last night and the angel came and said the bad people are coming at 10 o'clock. We have to go So they go Finds out the bad people really did come at 10 So everybody is escaped. So now these Jews in flight go. How did that little girl know that that's like our people wait Wait, this is Old Testament stuff. This is Elijah Elisha. This is the prophets will say yes. That's the point It is your people who do this we have been invited into your faith They're going we didn't know that we still did this stuff we thought that all that stuff stopped no, no, no, no, no Yeshua He is the one who poured out the spirit and this thing is alive so now the bad people come and Your life is on the line and you bold Fearless, no regrets. So whatsoever radiant in love Courageous and righteous say what is it to me if I step across the line into the resurrection? I love him and these These Jews in flight said this is you you're living a transcendent life. You're not even afraid of death You see angels you prophesy the future you multiply food. You're fearless you love. Who are you? We are of the tree of Abraham. We are of your root system The Jews will be made jealous Well, let's end with this go to paragraph e Paragraph e No f Paragraph f Jeremiah 31 7 to 10. We'll just end with this verse just real brief Thus says the Lord Sing with gladness for Jacob shout among the chief of the nations Proclaim give praise and say O Lord Savior people the remnant of Israel verse 10 Hear the word of the Lord Gentile nations Declare this word sing it preach it write it dance it do everything declare it say this He who scattered Israel will gather him and keep him as a shepherd does the flock so here let's look at verse 7 Among all the chief of the nations you have to admit America is one of the chief of the nations. He's talking about us not only us, but he's talking to us. He goes Americans Others as well, there's other chief nations. I want you to say something to the earth. I Want you to say out loud where your neighbors Believers unbelievers politically. I want you to be bold about this. I want you to declare it God save the remnant of Israel now a lot of the church will say oh we don't do that. Well, you're gonna do it anyway Some of your neighborhoods, yeah, that's trouble you're gonna do it. Anyway Now you could do it now. It's not so troublesome, but in the future will be far more troublesome to say this But you will say it You will have prayer meetings. You will pray it you will sing it You will say it now when it's a little bit unpopular and in the decades to come when it's far more unpopular You can you imagine in the midst of Nazi Germany saying this statement? I On a public forum Save the remnant of Israel Almighty God I tell you it would cause trouble in Nazi Germany if somebody stood up and said that on a street corner Then he goes on and he breaks it. He goes to the next level. He says here's what here's the message. Oh nations He's talking to Gentiles now. He's talking to us Here's what I want you to say even more specifically very simple One sentence if you say this one sentence, you'll be good Say he who scattered Israel will gather him and keep him This is the most politically incorrect statement I've ever seen If you say he that scattered Israel the Jews are very mad at you They go. No God didn't scatter us. You guys scattered us not God's. No. No God did. Oh, no Jews are not like that He will gather Israel the Arabs You're saying the Almighty God is gathering Israel. Ah, no. No, that's the devil. That's gathering Israel. Not God and He will keep them. He will tenderly provide and watch over them with affection and love so we are saying a Declaration, I don't mean a one-time thing. This is going to be broken down in many different ways We will say to the nations that the Jews will like it The Arabs won't like it. The church won't like it. The heathens won't like it. Nobody will like this But we will say it We will sing it and the Lord will be pleased and we will draw We will as the line is drawn in the sand. We will take our stand with Jesus in the battle for Jerusalem. Amen Let's stand Let's just pray for a moment then we're gonna take about a 15-minute break and Then Dan's gonna come and he's gonna give a report of what's happening in the land I don't know today is spiritually and tomorrow's politically or the other way around Father we say yes to you Lord, these are big ideas and we're just little people And Lord we say by the grace of God, yes Show us our place in our role in 2011 and show us day by day year by year how we fit in the drama in our neighborhoods Show us Show us Lord we ask in the name of Jesus. Amen. And amen again. We're gonna take a 15-minute break

Mike Bickle (1955 - ). American evangelical pastor, author, and founder of the International House of Prayer (IHOPKC), born in Kansas City, Missouri. Converted at 15 after hearing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach at a 1970 Fellowship of Christian Athletes conference, he pastored several St. Louis churches before founding Kansas City Fellowship in 1982, later Metro Christian Fellowship. In 1999, he launched IHOPKC, pioneering 24/7 prayer and worship, growing to 2,500 staff and including a Bible college until its closure in 2024. Bickle authored books like Passion for Jesus (1994), emphasizing intimacy with God, eschatology, and Israel’s spiritual role. Associated with the Kansas City Prophets in the 1980s, he briefly aligned with John Wimber’s Vineyard movement until 1996. Married to Diane since 1973, they have two sons. His teachings, broadcast globally, focused on prayer and prophecy but faced criticism for controversial prophetic claims. In 2023, Bickle was dismissed from IHOPKC following allegations of misconduct, leading to his withdrawal from public ministry. His influence persists through archived sermons despite ongoing debates about his legacy
