On the failure of modern Christianity, the causes of it, what today's Christianity should be and what it should not be, and comparing to what it has become. So yesterday, we already introduced the speaker. I do not think that it would be necessary to do it again. Another comment I might make on this theme, when I looked at Christianity, I thought to myself, we ought to say that there might be some good things that modern Christianity has brought. Several schools have been built, hospitals, several orphanages, several beautiful church buildings that make the city look good. One of the nicest touristic attractions of our city here is the St. Joseph Cathedral. If you look outside, you'll see the dome. It's a basilica, and it's the other one. And when you go on top of it, you see the whole city of Montreal. I went one time, it's really nice. So we ought to be able to recognize that there have been some good things that have been done. The University of Montreal, in fact, was a Catholic university until very recently. It's only a few years ago that it was handed over to the government. So Christianity has invested a lot in social work. But is that the priority? Would Jesus have invested his energies in that kind of way? Would Jesus on that last day look at all this work that's been done and say, well done, good and faithful servant, you've been faithful with the small things, I will give you greater things. Will he congratulate us? The issue of salvation, which is the priority, is it not that this aspect, which is the most important, is it not being neglected? Jesus did teach about taking care of the poor, the widows, the orphans, and several social works, do good things. However, we know that he had an insistent teaching that insisted on a person's relationship with God. But that aspect today is almost gone, and it's turned into social work. Is that not a failure? Should it be this way? To the point where the relationship with God has been neglected. So that to the point where even people who in the society in Quebec are not Christian, it's enough, it's enough, we have to stop this affair, we get the universities out of this affair of Christianity, we get them out of power, and the church has to leave people as they are. To the point where the society has become so fed up with the church that they have started saying no more of this whole Christian business, let them no longer control schools, take them out of the government, we don't have to have anything to do with them. Because in spite of all this social work, we so neglected the relationship with God, the relationship with God was so mediocre, with so much sin that offended people. There are still, there are people who to this day are alive who in the 1940s and 50s were abused in orphanages by the instructors, the caretakers with the complicity of the church leaders and the rest, and to this day the government is trying to investigate. Someone was saying that it was really the church who should have been taking, it's the church who ought to have been protecting people and not the government. But there has been several problems, some are still being investigated, and I've met several people on the streets, either they tell you I used to be Catholic but now I'm an atheist, but the verb they all, the tense they always use is I was in the past. Have we not failed? And it's probably enough that God said enough is enough, I must destroy the world. We ought to bring things back to order. Is there still a way to enter? What ought to happen? So we'll ask. First of all, let me clarify some confusion even among true believers. There are many who say, let's start orphanages, let's start schools and the rest. They are very sincere but they are sincerely mistaken. It is a lack of understanding of the implications of the two comings of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ came to seek and to save that which was lost. That's phase one. He came to seek and to save that which was lost. From that time when he came, committing his death on the cross, until his second coming, this is what we call phase one. Phase two is between his second coming, say a thousand years, when he will set up the millennial kingdom. In phase one, the Lord Jesus Christ came to seek and to save the lost. He had only one occupation, to seek and to save the lost. He did not go into social programs. He did not go into solving race problems. Sociopolitical problems. No, no, no. He did not set out to improve the social conditions of man. He did not set out to improve the social conditions of man. He had only one program, to seek and to save the lost. And the Lord intended that the church would be preoccupied with that one purpose, in phase one. Unfortunately, because of the deception of Satan, even true believers, have thought that in this phase one, let's improve the social lot of man. This is unfortunate. That is not what the Lord did. He did not address the sociopolitical issues, the sociocultural issues. He did not get a tax levy. He did not get a tax levy. When a man comes and says, Lord, did my brother divide the inheritance with me? Social justice. Maybe the father left the inheritance, and there was a bully of another brother. Why should we say that believers will have the biggest businesses? He concentrated on one issue. The salvation of the lost. People like Peter, the director of the Galilean Trawlers Association, he called him off. You'll be catching men. The sons of men, the sons of men, the sons of men, the sons of men. Now it's his occupation, now it's his occupation. The lost, the lost, the lost, the lost. Acquiring wealth. And having a good time in this life. In Luke chapter 6. Verse 20. To 26. Many, many believers, their ambition is to be rich. That is why they flee Africa. They flee to America, in pursuit of the American dream, which is really no dream. It is a shadow. The American dream is really a dream. It is a soap bubble. When you catch it, it disappears. If people understood the Lord Jesus Christ, he said, blessed are you who are poor, blessed are you who are poor. The Lord Christ talked about voluntary poverty. Self-imposed poverty. Because of the precious souls of men. And now who makes the maximum money? But because of the precious souls of men, they are tempted to win the lost and live in poverty. Because of the precious souls of men. Not lazy people who cannot make money, such as to be beaten with chives. Because laziness is sin. If you serve them poor poverty, become the world that has been made which will be kept and invested in the urgent task of getting the gospel to a maximum number in the shortest of time. Voluntary poverty. Voluntary poverty. The commitment to make the largest possible money but invest it radically totally in the winning of the lost. Being poor not because one did not make money but because what was made was vastly invested to win the lost. Listen! When you live in luxury when people are going to a lake of fire where they are sitting dressed in their luxury many of them will be rich with the gospel. Your next question is in English. He says, unfortunately you are poor. Listen! Many deliverers they have a big deal they have a big deal on their hands. No, no. One dollar is a hundred cents, isn't it? A hundred cents is one dollar. So a hundred cents is five hundred francs. Five francs. So two cents can produce an evangelistic tax and save someone from hell. Two cents. A woman got one of her child got sex on you in Kampala because she was lost and she was a lesbian. She read a chapt received the Lord's Advice and was instantly delivered from lesbianism. Two cents. I decided to live with the perishing source of men and women I have cut off from my life all that could be cut off so that the money should go to rescue the lost. No, five in the afternoon. Two in the evening. Ten pieces of meat. At the end of the day you have allowed two hundred people to go to the lake of fire. It's just plain logic. Coca-Cola. That's the problem. I'm not just a can of Coca-Cola cups. Fifty cents. In can two. Fifty cents. Let's just take fifty. Two hundred and fifty francs. By the can you keep it empty. So I want you to have a can of Coca-Cola with you guys. Twenty-five people have fled it. If you do not drink it and you give that money for reaching out to the world twenty-five people will be saved. It is just plain logic. We know that vegetarian things are cheaper. Vegetarian things are cheaper. Vegetables are easy to grow. Compared to meat. And there's not temptation to tell another lump of vegetable and another lump of vegetable. Somebody just said take another piece, take another piece. This chicken is well fried. Less meat over steak. They just said I left less meat over vegetables. Listen. I know I will give a can for that day. For each one who perishes without hearing Christ. You may not have to give a can. Therefore you can live your life correctly. But I will give a can for that day. I decide to live my life with that day of giving a can to you. If someone says from hell I am in hell because that someone did not live sacrificially had he lived sacrificially the gospel would have reached me and I would not be here. How about that? To know eternally that because of a luxurious lifestyle because of a non-sacrificial lifestyle people could have been saved. This is my only portion. Why you think I get somebody to sell them and I put them into trucks? All those suits all those sets they are sold and the money put into trucks. I want to live for only one reason. Rescue the largest number Rescue, rescue, rescue but get the gospel to them. You can live like the rich young woman You can live like the rich man and the rich man Lazarus But listen my beloved there are people who have never heard the gospel. For the last two years my wife and I we get all our salaries all our allowances all my royalties every gift that I received in cash every gift that my wife received in cash I sold everything anybody gave me shirts, bags all that and we put it to the gospel to rescue the last if possible Listen my brother I was saved through reading a tract the tract was titled Someone died for you What if that tract had not reached me and Adam was prostituted but that tract got to me 51 years ago and I was saved it took only a tract to change my destiny I want to live to put all that I can put in to live on the bare minimum so that someone who could have gone to hell hears the gospel and goes to heaven If one soul is rescued because I live in discomfort it is more than the world the rewards If I live in discomfort for 75 years and one person is saved because of that then it is worth it to change the eternal destiny of one person it is a wonder you have not cut the value of two cents a good shirt costs what ok let's take 25 dollars 25 times 500 12,500 12,500 will produce 1,250 tracts we have a place to produce tracts I know the cost people scramble for the tracts a child ago yesterday as I went giving tracts I found that some people were hesitating you know where to put the magazines I went and put three tracts there God loves you I went away I came back after 10 minutes they were gone after another three I went away I came back after 10 minutes they were gone people feel free to pick them from there If I live in we have no tracts we have already spent 6 million this year on tracts but that's nothing go, go, go you put the can down your house is a mini shop one per block another the per block is too much this is like hell you have one room a mini men's shop as a women you cannot tell the story in the name of Jesus in the United States people go to higher stores to store their excess things I have been to America 22 times one time I spent 6 weeks with a total blindness about the perishing souls of men are you blind? may God tear up the veil I have been to so you may leave night and day to the perishing souls of men and women so that you may sacrifice all that can be sacrificed to rescue even one person from the lake of fire you have many streets that you have not even opened and sinners are going to the lake of fire you eat and throw the rest of the food you don't know what it means to go to hell if the gospel did not reach you and you would be today going to the lake of fire you might understand it you care about the lost you care voluntary poverty in 2 Corinthians 8, 9 it is taught the voluntary poverty of the Lord Jesus Christ is stated though he was rich for our sakes he became poor so that through his poverty we might become rich Jesus Christ was rich because of us he made himself poor so that through his poverty we might come unto the wealth of God self-imposed voluntary poverty because of the person so suffering he said spend the next 2 cents think about that person who goes to hell because of that careless expenditure it is a faithful saying and word of all acceptation that Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners so well but God has blessed me I have to enjoy my blessings good Jesus Christ did not enjoy his blessings he sacrificed his enjoyment so that you might be rich through the eternal salvation so you have to sacrifice your own enjoyment so that another person might be rich through the salvation of God listen my brother if someone allowed you to go to hell smiling if someone allowed you to go to hell what if you were living today without Jesus someone was too busy to come and tell you you would have loved to isn't it listen in Luke chapter 12 from verse 32 it says sell your possessions and give alms someone should read for us someone told me down there that those hard things of Jesus they should be left in the Bible alone was a crazy man they don't trouble us with the hard things of Jesus Luke 12 32 to 34 do not fear I will give you the kingdom Amen the father has been pleased to give us the kingdom Amen sell your possessions and give to the poor sell your possessions and give to the poor provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out not be exhausted where no teeth comes near and no mouth destroys for where your treasure is there your heart sell your possessions and give the gospel to those who have the gospel a person who does not have the gospel a person without Christ is the incarnation of poverty he may live in a castle but his bankruptcy is beyond imagination but his bankruptcy is beyond all imagination the poorest poor are those without Christ he may be a president a prime minister a billionaire but he is poorer than a church rat so sell your possessions and give the gospel to those without Christ to keep money account and let people be going to hell say I'm planning my future what future? maximum more than 30 years when I was in India recently the oldest man in India is 138 so he didn't live to be 138 in poverty so that one person who ought to have gone to hell goes to heaven is that enough is that not enough compensation? I don't know when I stop praying and when I start sleeping. So kneeling. That position is banished. Because I don't want to dishonest. People may see you sleeping. They think that you are deep in God. You wake up there and say. Oh. The perishing sort of men. The perishing sort of men. Everything must be done. Everything must be done. When you sit down. You put your list in cold water. So that when you are sleeping with your list in cold water. You can now sleep with a good conscience. The body is tired. You walk. You walk. You walk in your room. The door should be open right to the toilet. So that you have a long walking street. And keep awake. In order to intercede. In order to clear how to go on. You should have been very strong. other thing is that there are so few believers and so many unbelievers let the unbelievers develop this world that which only we can do the winning of the lost why go and build a school the unbelievers can build an excellent school why build a hospital are you competing with the unbelievers about who will build this hospital let the unbelievers build the hospital the unbelievers cannot save the lost they cannot preach the gospel if believers don't do that it is not done it will not be done Dachamazov a former secretary general of the United Nations he told the Liberian army if there is hope it has to be along the lines that you talk about along the lines we have tried so hard in the United Nations and we have failed so hopelessly there are more armed struggles now than ever before in the history of the world people seem to have developed but the development has failed Jesus has not failed Jesus has not failed it is the unchanging answer religious systems might have failed but Jesus has not failed you cannot come to him and not be changed the bible says to those who received him who believed in him he gave them the power to become the children of God tonight he can give you the power to become a child of God is there somebody here who wants Jesus Christ to come into his heart today so that he becomes a child of God today when Jesus Christ comes in there will be a total revolution the bible says if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation the old is past the new has come you may not be able to forgive yourself for the past your crimes of the past may haunt you but if you come to the Lord Jesus Christ he will blot out the past and he will transform you totally and then you will be his partner in the Jesus revolution the transforming of people from the king of darkness to the king of God's son he might have been in church all your life but you have not encountered Jesus you might have uttered some words the life of God was not imparted to you and you are struggling in your own sense to live a life that can only be lived in the power of the Holy Spirit this Christian life is the supernatural life of God lived in the believer in the power of the Holy Spirit giving you power to love what God loves and to hate what God hates giving you power to know God to love him and to make him your best friend is there someone here who wants to live on this interested in giving your life to Jesus if you have given your life to Jesus earlier if you prayed the prayer inviting Christ into your life or if you just have some questions and you really want to follow Jesus but you have some difficulties that you're dealing with or you need some specific help, I'd like to invite you to come forward and you can talk with Professor Komuni. We can discuss with you for a few minutes as the other people go away. Even if you did not pray, but you would like to give your life to Christ and maybe you have a question in that direction, we welcome you to come and forward. Thank you for showing how we must invest for the salvation so that people will receive Christ into their hearts and so they will not lose their hope. Thank you for showing us that there ought to have been the focus of the church, the focus of the leaders. Thank you for showing us that that's where we ought to have invested and invested everything that we have. From the first cents to millions of dollars, that's where we ought to have invested. For there was the greatest priority of the Lord Jesus. And that investing massively in social work is in fact an error, a mistake. For the priority is the salvation of the lost. Thank you Lord. For these who want to follow you tonight, who have never known you, or who know you wrongly and who would like to know you properly, we pray that you will bless their decision, give them the courage to affirm their decision to go along with you for real. And for those who are going back, protect them. And those who are being housed here on this campus during the convention, protect them as well in Jesus' name. Amen.
