Ezekiel 26:1-21

Ezekiel 26:15‘Conquerors,’ says Carlyle in his essay on Burns, ‘are a class of men with whom, for most part, the world could well dispense; nor can the hard intellect, the unsympathizing loftiness, and high but selfish enthusiasm of such persons inspire us in general with any affection; at best it may excite amazement; and their fall, like that of a pyramid, will be beheld with a certain sadness and awe.’
