Esther 10:1

UPon the land] Upon the continent.

Esther 10:2

advanced him] Heb. made him great.

Esther 10:3

and accepted of the multitude of his brethren] These three points are here set forth as commendable and necessary for him that is in authority, To have the favour of the people, To procure their wealth, And to be gentle and loving toward them.

and speaking peace] Speaking well to the king for them.

to all his seed] That is, to his people. See notes on chap. 9. vers. 31.
