096. Make It as Sure as Ye Can

96 MAKE IT AS SURE AS YE CAN Matthew 27:65;2 Peter 1:10

INTRODUCTION This should be the principle of all in everything.

1. Our home’s; business relations; health; and this life.

2. What about our eternal life. Is it sure? Why?

3. Can it be made sure? How? Let us see.

4. There are several positions-each claiming to be true .

(a) Infidelity: suppose infidelity true and Christianity false, what is gained .

(b) Protestantism : justification by faith on ly. If this doctrine be true, and a man believes as James 2:24, is he not safe? He has faith and works.

(c) Universalism: You lose nothing by being a Christian, if this is true.

(d) Christianity: It is the only absolutely sure position.

How can we make it sure? By obeying God. (Isaiah 58:13 .) 5. What does He require us to do?

(a) HEAR his word. (Matthew 17:15.) (b) BELIEVE his teachings. (Mark 1:15.) (c) OBEY his commandments. (Revelation 22:14.)

CONCLUSION Then make it as sure as ye can.
