Context — The Zeal of Phinehas
7On seeing this, Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, got up from the assembly, took a spear in his hand,
8followed the Israelite into his tent, and drove the spear through both of them—through the Israelite and on through the belly of the woman. So the plague against the Israelites was halted, 9but those who died in the plague numbered 24,000.Cross References

Numbers 25:7 Summary
[This verse tells us about a man named Phinehas who saw something that made him very upset, and he decided to take action to stop it. He was upset because an Israelite man had brought a Midianite woman into his family, which was against God's commands (as seen in Exodus 34:15-16). Phinehas' actions show us the importance of standing up for what is right, even when it's hard. We can learn from his example to be brave and take a stand against sin in our own lives, just like we see in Psalm 106:30-31.]
