Leviticus 23:29 Summary
Leviticus 23:29 is a reminder that God wants us to humble ourselves before Him, acknowledging our sinfulness and dependence on Him. This means letting go of our pride and self-sufficiency, and surrendering to His will, as seen in Proverbs 3:34. When we humble ourselves, God promises to lift us up and restore our relationship with Him (1 Peter 5:6). By taking time to reflect on our sinfulness and dependence on God, we can experience the joy and freedom that comes from being in a right relationship with Him, just like the Israelites did on the Day of Atonement (Leviticus 23:28).
