Context — Sin Separates Us from God
8The way of peace they have not known, and there is no justice in their tracks. They have turned them into crooked paths; no one who treads on them will know peace.
9Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness does not reach us. We hope for light, but there is darkness; for brightness, but we walk in gloom. 10Like the blind, we feel our way along the wall, groping like those without eyes. We stumble at midday as in the twilight; among the vigorous we are like the dead.Cross References

Isaiah 59:8 Summary
[This verse is saying that people have not learned how to live in peace, and instead, they have chosen paths that lead to trouble and conflict. This is because they have not followed God's ways, which are described in Psalm 119:165 as the path to peace. By choosing to follow our own ways, rather than God's ways, we can end up on a path that leads to unrest and conflict, rather than peace. However, as seen in Romans 5:1, we can have peace with God through faith in Jesus Christ.]
