Worsley1 And Jesus resuming his discourse spake unto them again in parables, 2 for his son;} 4 ready; come to the wedding.} 5 and went away, one to his field and another to his merchandize:} 6 and slew } 7 he was provoked, and sent his troops, and destroyed those murderers, and burnt their city.} 8 } 10 -ways, and brought in all they met with, both bad and good: and the wedding was filled with guests.} 15 Then the pharisees went and consulted how they might insnare Him in discourse. 16 And they send to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art a man of truth, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest for any man; for thou regardest not the person of men: Tell us therefore what thou thinkest, 17 Is it lawful to give tribute to Cesar, or not? 18 But Jesus knew their malice, and said, 19 And they brought Him a Penny. 20 And He saith unto them, this?} 21 They answered, Cesar’s. Then saith He unto them, 22 And when they heard they marvelled, and left Him and went away. 23 On the same day came the sadducees to Him, who say there is no resurrection, 24 and asked Him, saying, Master, Moses said, If any die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up seed unto his brother. 25 Now there were with us seven brothers, and the first married and died, and having no issue left his wife to his brother; 26 likewise the second also, and the third, even to seven; 27 and last of all the woman died also; 28 therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. 29 But Jesus answered them, 33 And when the people heard this, they were astonished at his doctrine. 34 But when the pharisees heard that He had silenced the sadducees, 35 they gathered together again, and one of them, an interpreter of the law, propounded a question, to try Him, 36 and said, Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law? 37 And Jesus said unto him, 41 Now while the pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, 42 saying, They say unto Him, David’s. 43 He saith unto them, 46 And no one was able to answer Him a word, nor did any dare, from that day, to ask Him any more
