Luke 21
Worsley1 And He looked up and saw the rich bringing their gifts to the treasury: 2 and He saw also a poor widow throwing in two mites. 3 And He said, all.} 4 out of their abundance contributed to the offerings of God: but she out of her penury hath given all she had.} 5 And as some were speaking of the temple; how it was adorned with beautiful stones and gifts, He said, these which ye see, 7 And they asked Him, saying, Master, when shall these be? And what the sign when these shall come to pass? 8 And He said, and the time is near: do not therefore go after them.} 9 not directly.} 10 Then said He unto them, 11 places, and famines, and pestilences, and fearful sights and great prodigies from heaven.} 12 they will lay hands on you, and persecute delivering up to synagogues, and prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake:} 14 therefore in your hearts not to premeditate a defence: for I will give you a mouth and wisdom,} 16 of you shall they cause to be put to death:} 17 for my sake.} 19 possess your souls.} 20 in Judea flee to the mountains,} 21 in the midst of it, depart; and let not them in the countries enter into it.} 24 shall be fulfilled.} 25 moon, and stars; and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity, the sea and the waves roring:} 26 men ready to die for fear and apprehension of the things that are coming upon the land; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.} 27 on a cloud, with power and great glory.} 29 And He spake a parable to them, 34 that day should come upon you unawares:} 36 which shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.} 37 Thus He was by day teaching in the temple; and at night He retired to the mount called of Olives. 38 And all the people came early in the morning to Him in the temple to hear Him.
