Matthew 19
Worrell1 And it came to pass that, when Jesus finished these words, He departed from Galilee, and came into the borders of Judaea, beyond the Jordan. 2 And large multitudes followed Him; and He healed them there. 3 And Pharisees came to Him, tempting Him, and saying, “Is it lawful to put away his wife for every cause” 4 And He, answering, said, from the beginning made them ‘male and female,’} 7 They say to Him, “Why, then, did Moses command to give a bill of divorcement, and to put away?" 8 He saith to them, 10 The disciples say to Him, “If the case of the man is so with his wife, it is not expedient to marry." 11 But He said to them, to whom it has been given;} 12 mother’s womb; and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it.”} 13 Then were brought to Him little children, that He might put hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, 15 And, having laid His hands on them, He departed thence. 16 And, behold, one, having come near, said to Him, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?" 17 And He said to him, 18 He says to Him, “Which?” And Jesus said, 20 The young man says to Him, “I observed all these things; what yet do I lack?" 21 Jesus said to him, 22 But the young man, having heard this saying, went away grieved; for he was one who had large possessions. 23 And Jesus said to His disciples, 24 easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”} 25 And the disciples, having heard it, were amazed exceedingly, saying, “Who, then, can be saved? “ 26 But Jesus, looking on , said to them, 27 Then Peter, answering, said to Him, “Behold, we left all, and followed Thee; what, then, shall we have?" 28 And Jesus said to them, throne of His glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.}
