Psalms 110
BSA1 The LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] said to my Lord [my Master]: “Sit [dwell, remain] at My right hand [the place of highest honor] until [as far as, till the time] I make Your enemies [those who oppose You] a footstool [a low stool] for Your feet [the instruments of Your power].” word study 2 The LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] extends Your mighty [full of strength and power] scepter [rod of authority, staff of power] from Zion [the city of God, Jerusalem]: “Rule [have power and control, reign] in the midst [center, inner part] of Your enemies [those who oppose, hate and resist].” word study 3 Your people [willingly, with a voluntary spirit] shall be willing on Your day [time of power, moment of strength] of battle [war, conflict]. Arrayed in holy [set-apart, sacred] splendor [glory, beauty], from the womb [matrix, place of birth] of the dawn [morning, early light], to You belongs the dew [moisture, refreshing power] of Your youth [young age, vibrant life]. word study 4 The LORD [Yehovah, The covenant Name of God] has sworn [made a vow, taken an oath] and will not change His mind [repent, be sorry]: “You [as an individual, a priestly king] are a priest [one who serves God and leads others in worship] forever [for all eternity, always] in the order [manner, style] of Melchizedek [my king is Sedek, a priestly king].” word study 5 The Lord [Adonay, a title of reverence] is at Your right hand [place of highest honor]; He will crush [strike through, wound severely] kings [royal rulers, those in power] in the day [time of judgment] of His wrath [anger, fierce indignation]. word study 6 He will judge [execute judgment, rule over] the nations [Gentiles, heathen], heaping up [filling the places with] the dead [dead bodies, corpses]; He will crush [strike through, wound] the leaders [heads, rulers] far and wide [over many countries, across the earth]. word study 7 He will drink [from streams beside the path] from the brook [a small river or valley] by the road [way of life, journey]; therefore [as a result, thus] He will lift up [exalt, raise high] His head [the topmost part of the body]. word study
