12 Bible Verses on The Spirit of Man

12 verses

In the biblical account of creation, God breathed into humanity the breath of life, giving them a spirit that sets them apart from other living creatures, as seen in Genesis 2:7. This spirit within each person is a lamp that sheds light on their innermost thoughts and motivations, according to Proverbs 20:27. The book of Job also acknowledges the spirit of man, stating that it is the source of understanding and wisdom, as expressed in Job 32:8. Furthermore, Ecclesiastes 12:7 and Romans 8:16 affirm that the spirit returns to God upon death and testifies to our identity as children of God, respectively.
