15 Bible Verses on The Devil

15 verses

The Bible portrays a powerful, malevolent being who opposes God and seeks to deceive humanity. According to 1 Peter 5:8 and 1 John 3:8, this adversary is a roaring lion, constantly on the prowl, looking to devour the faithful, and his works are directly opposed to the will of God. In 2 Corinthians 11:14, he is described as disguising himself as an angel of light, highlighting his cunning nature. Jesus teaches in John 10:10 that this being seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, while James 2:19 notes that even the demons acknowledge God's authority over them.
