In times of spiritual dryness, God offers refreshment to those who turn to Him. According to Acts, repentance and return to God can lead to times of refreshing, as the Lord pours out His Spirit. The prophets and poets of the Bible, such as Jeremiah and the Psalmists, describe God's restoration and rejuvenation of His people, guiding them to still waters and reviving their souls, as seen in Psalms 16 and 23. Jeremiah 31 and Proverbs 3 also highlight the importance of trusting in God's goodness and wisdom to find refreshment.

Repent, then, and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped away, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus, the Christ, who has been appointed for you. Heaven must take Him in until the time comes for the restoration of all things, which God announced long ago through His holy prophets.
I have set the LORD always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will dwell securely. For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor will You let Your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.
He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.
Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. This will bring healing to your body and refreshment to your bones.
For they refreshed my spirit and yours as well. Show your appreciation, therefore, to such men.
And do this, understanding the occasion. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
I take great joy and encouragement in your love, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints.
But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint.
so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and together with you be refreshed.
