12 Bible Verses on Overeating

12 verses

The Bible teaches that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and as such, we are to honor God with our physical choices. In 1 Corinthians 10:31 and 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, we are reminded to use our bodies for God's glory, which includes being mindful of our eating habits. Proverbs 23:2 and Proverbs 23:20-21 caution against overindulgence, warning that it can lead to negative consequences. By being moderate in our eating, we demonstrate self-control and respect for the bodies God has given us, as emphasized in 1 Corinthians 6:19.
