7 Bible Verses on Mixed Marriages

7 verses

In the biblical narrative, relationships between believers and unbelievers are a significant concern, particularly in the context of marriage. Deuteronomy warns against marrying those who do not share one's faith, citing the potential for spiritual compromise. The New Testament, however, offers guidance for those already in mixed marriages, with 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians emphasizing the importance of maintaining one's faith while loving and serving one's spouse. Additionally, Galatians highlights the unity and equality that exist among believers, regardless of their backgrounds or relationships, and Hebrews upholds the sanctity of marriage, encouraging believers to honor their commitments.

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his believing wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband. God has called you to live in peace. How do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?
Marriage should be honored by all and the marriage bed kept undefiled, for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes, as long as he belongs to the Lord.
