The ultimate fate of those who reject God's love and redemption is a solemn reality throughout Scripture. In Revelation 21:8 and Matthew 25:46, the duration and severity of punishment for the wicked are described as eternal. Jesus Himself warns of the destruction of both body and soul in Matthew 10:28, emphasizing the gravity of this consequence. The book of Revelation also portrays the final judgment, where the devil and his followers are tormented forever in the lake of fire, as seen in Revelation 20:10, a stark reminder of the wages of sin, as stated in Romans 6:23.
