The Bible teaches that faith plays a significant role in healing, as seen in James 5:15, where prayer offered in faith is said to heal the sick. According to Mark 11:24, believers are encouraged to have faith that God will grant their requests, including those for physical healing. The concept of healing is also linked to the atoning work of Christ, as expressed in Isaiah 53:5, which highlights the suffering of the Messiah for the redemption of humanity. Additionally, James 5:14 instructs elders to pray over the sick, anointing them with oil, and Philippians 4:19 reminds believers that God will supply all their needs, including physical restoration, according to His riches in glory.

At once Jesus was aware that power had gone out from Him. Turning to the crowd, He asked, “Who touched My garments?” His disciples answered, “You can see the crowd pressing in on You, and yet You ask, ‘Who touched Me?’” But He kept looking around to see who had done this. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him trembling in fear, and she told Him the whole truth. “Daughter,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be free of your affliction.”
