10 Bible Verses on Deceiving

10 verses

The Bible warns against the dangers of deceiving others, as it is considered an abomination to God. According to Proverbs, deceiving is one of the seven things the Lord hates, and it is characterized by lying and spreading falsehood. The apostle John cautions believers to test the spirits, lest they be deceived by false prophets, as written in 1 John. Additionally, the books of 1 and 2 Timothy alert believers to the influence of deceitful spirits and the increase of deception in the last days, while Jesus Himself identifies the devil as the father of lies in John's Gospel.
