In times of uncertainty, believers are encouraged to seek wise guidance from others. According to Proverbs, plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers, they succeed, as seen in Proverbs 15:22 and Proverbs 11:14. The book of Proverbs also warns that where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice, as noted in Proverbs 13:10. The Holy Spirit is also a source of guidance, as Jesus promised in John 16:13, and Proverbs 20:5 reminds us that wise counsel can draw out the deepest motivations and intentions of the heart.
