13 Bible Verses on Blame

13 verses

In the eyes of God, judging others while ignoring one's own faults is strongly condemned. According to Romans, those who judge others are guilty of the same sins, and will be judged by God. The book of James teaches that trials and temptations are opportunities for growth, and that believers should consider them a chance to develop perseverance. Meanwhile, Jesus warns in Matthew against hypocrisy, instructing His followers to examine their own hearts before criticizing others, and 1 Peter reminds believers that they will face various trials, but should not be surprised by them.

First take the beam out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
