In a world marked by suffering and injustice, the Bible acknowledges the reality of bad news, but also offers a message of hope and redemption. The Psalms remind us that even in the face of adversity, the righteous will not be shaken, as seen in Psalms 112:6-7. Jesus Himself warned His disciples that they would face troubles, but encouraged them to take heart, as He had overcome the world, according to John 16:33. Ultimately, the Bible teaches that God can bring light out of darkness, as prophesied in Isaiah 54, and that even in death, there is the promise of eternal life, as expressed in 1 Thessalonians 4:13.

Brothers, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you will not grieve like the rest, who are without hope.
