SermonIndex as ZIM files for Kiwix — the reader schools, prisons and
clinics already use to carry Wikipedia where there is no connection. One file
holds the pages, the search and the recordings, and it keeps working for ever
on a disk.
Kiwix is the reader that schools, prisons, ships and clinics use to carry Wikipedia where there is no internet. It reads a single file, a ZIM, that holds an entire website — pages, search index and media — compressed into one download. We have put SermonIndex into that format, so the preaching travels to the places that need it most and that a web server was never going to reach.
Nothing here phones home. Once the file is on the disk it works with the aeroplane mode on, for ever, and it can be copied from one machine to another by hand.
Reading them
Install Kiwix — it is free, and there is a version for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS and the Raspberry Pi — then open any file below. On a shared network, kiwix-serve turns one file into a site the whole building can browse.

If you run a library rather than a single reader, subscribe to the catalogue instead of collecting the links below. It lists every edition with its size and checksum, and it is rebuilt whenever one of them changes.
