Only 46% of children grow up in an intact home, study says

Only 46 percent of children in the United States will reach age 17 having grown up in a home with biological parents who are married -- a figure that has a significant impact on the nation's graduation, poverty and teenage birth rates, according to a new report.

"We have never faced anything like this in human history," said the Family Research Council's Pat Fagan, one of the co-authors of the study.

And the world shakes their heads and wonders how we got here. The Bible tells us how we got here; "The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness"(Romans 1:18 NIV)

Read the rest of Romans 1, what a clear description of our society. Is it any wonder there are guns in the schools and there is pain in the lives and homes of developing teenagers? We must speak clearly now and warn that this state of affairs is on account of godlessness.

Our society cannot be changed by political reforms and more legislation. It cannot be changed by squatters on Wall Street or tea parties. It can only be changed as individual lives are changed by the power of an Endless Life. We've got to let them know whether they will listen or not. We've got to pray extraordinary prayers.

In Christ,

Ron

 Re:

Fact is, more often than not, when we give someone the gospel, we are casting pearls before swines, as Jesus said.

However, cast them we must, or they perish.
